அந்தப் பையனுக்கு மிஞ்சி மிஞ்சி போனால் பதினஞ்சு, பதினாறு வயஸ்தான் இருக்கும். பாவம், தாங்க முடியாத தலைவலியால் அவதிப்பட்டான்! டாக்டர்கள், வைத்யம் இதெல்லாம் ஒரு பக்கம் அதுபாட்டுக்கு போய்க் கொண்டிருந்தாலும், அவனுக்கு பேரிடியாக ஞாபகசக்தியும் குறைந்து கொண்டே வந்ததது.
சோதனை காலத்திலும் ஒரு நல்ல காலம், ஞாபகம் நன்றாக இருக்கும் போதே [“அப்போதைக்கு இப்போதே சொல்லி வைத்தேன்” என்று ஆழ்வார் பாடியது போல்] பெரியவாளிடம் வந்து கண்ணீர் விட்டான். “எனக்கு தலைவலி தாங்க முடியலே பெரியவா….அதோட மறதி ரொம்ப இருக்கு. பாடத்தை ஞாபகம் வெச்சுக்கவே முடியலே…பெரியவாதான் காப்பாத்தணும்” அழுதான்.
“கொழந்தே! நா…..வைத்யசாஸ்த்ரம் படிச்சதில்லேடா…..வேதாந்த சாஸ்த்ரந்தான் படிச்சிருக்கேன்…..”
பையன் நகருவதாக இல்லை. பெரியவாளிடம் prescription வாங்காமல் போவதாக இல்லை. அதற்கு மேல் அவனை சோதிக்க பெரியவா விரும்பவில்லை. எனவே அவனிடம், ” சரி, நான் சொல்ற வைத்யம் ரொம்ப கடுமையா இருக்குமேப்பா! ஒன்னால follow பண்ண முடியாதேடா கொழந்தே!…”
“அப்டீல்லாம் இல்லே பெரியவா……ஒங்க வார்த்தைப்படி கட்டாயம் நடக்கறேன்! ” வழி கிடைக்கும் நம்பிக்கையால் பையன் முகம் ப்ரகாஸமானது.
“ரொம்ப சந்தோஷம். அந்தக் காலத்துல, முகத்தலளவைன்னு ஒரு கணக்கு உண்டு. அதுப்படி, நாலு பெரிய்….ய்ய படில அரிசி, கோதுமை மாதிரி எதாவுது ஒரு தான்யத்தை அளந்து ஒரு பையில கட்டி,….. சபரி மலைக்கு இருமுடி கட்டிண்டு போறவாளை பாத்திருக்கியோ? அதுமாதிரி, அந்த தான்யத்தை…

Super 30 wins laurel again, 27 out of 30 qualify for IITs ….Kudos To AnandKumar !!!
Keeping up its reputation, Super 30 of mathematician Anand Kumar has again excelled in JEE advance result which was declared today with 27 out of its 30 students, all from poor background cracking the exam.
Among the successful ,this year, are children of cobbler,roadside vendors and grocer.
With tears in his eyes, Sunil son of a daily wager from Sanda who qualified for IIT said “what Anand Sir is doing for the poor is something only messiah can do.I will try to follow in his footsteps.”
Dhananjay Kumar’s grocer father due to poverty wanted him to sit in the shop. Determined to study, he would save money while purchasing vegetables from wholesale market to purchase books and study during free time.
Passion drove him to steal Rs 50 to purchase application form of Super 30 and the rest is history.
Misfortune struck Mani Ram Singh, a boy from Bijnaru in Uttar Pradesh whose farm labourer father could not afford treatment of paralytic strike.
“I knew there was not much I could do for my physical disability, but still I wanted to study. However, continuing education was a big ask as I could not think of going beyond a local government school,” he said.
Sudhir from Nalanda district, too, recalls, how he used to sit with his cobbler father to help him.
“One day, I polished shoes of a man and when I asked for money, he abused me and walked away. I was angry but my father told me to calm down and said that the best way to take revenge was to acquire real power through education,”he said.
Experiencing acute poverty in his student days, which prevented him from going to Cambridge University for higher education, Anand Kumar made his life a mission to help wards of humble background of his Super 30 realise their dreams.
Launched in 2001, 308 students from Super 30 have made it to IIT out of 360 who appeared from the institution so far, a statement from Super 30 said.
Discovery channel shot a film on Super 30. Al Zajeera, NHK (Japan), French TV, Chinese TV, Miss Norieka Fujiwara have special show on his achievements.

உலகிலேயே உயர்ந்த நாமம் ராமநாமம். “ஸ்ரீராமஜெயம்’ என ஒருமுறை சொன்னால் செய்த பாவங்கள் தீர்ந்துவிடும். ராமபிரான் இலங்கைக்கு செல்வதற்காக வானரங்கள் பாலம் அமைத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தன. எல்லா வானரங்களும் கற்களை தூக்கி கடலுக்குள் போட்டன. ஒவ்வொரு கல்லும் மற்றொரு கல்லின்மீது சரியாக அமர்ந்தது. ஆஞ்சநேயர் அந்தபணியை மேற் பார்வையிட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்தார். ராமபிரானும் இதை கவனித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார். அவர் மனதிலும் ஆசை ஏற்பட்டது. நாமும் இந்தவானரங்களுடன் இணைந்து கல்லை தூக்கிப்போட்டால் என்ன என கருதியபடியே, ஒரு கல்லை எடுத்து கடலுக்குள் போட்டார். அந்தக்கல் சரியாக மற்ற கற்களின்மீது அமரவில்லை. அலை அடித்து சென்றுவிட்டது. ராமபிரானுக்கு வருத்தம்.
“இந்த குரங்குகள் போடும் கற்கள்கூட சரியாக மற்றொரு கல்லின்மீது அமர்ந்துவிட்டதே. நமது கல்லை அலைஅடித்து சென்றுவிட்டதே. இதற்கு என்ன காரணமாக இருக்கும்” என வருத்தப்பட்டார். ஆஞ்சநேயர் ராமனின் அருகில் வந்தார். அவர் அனைத்தையும் கவனித்துக்கொண்டுதான் இருந்தார்.
“ஆஞ்சநேயா! நான் செய்ததை நீ பார்த்துவிட்டாயா? எனக்கு ஒரு கல்லை போடக்கூட தெரியவில்லை. என்னை நினைத்து எனக்கே வெட்கமாக இருக்கிறது” என்றார்.
அதற்கு ஆஞ்சநேயர், “ஸ்ரீராமா! மற்ற குரங்குகள் எல்லாம் “ஸ்ரீராமஜெயம்’ என்ற உன் நாமத்தை சொல்லிக்கொண்டே கற்களை தூக்கிப்போட்டன. அவை சரியாக அமர்ந்தது. நீ ராமனாகவே இருந்தாலும் ராமஜெயம் சொல்லிக்கொண்டே போட்டிருந்தால் அது சரியாக அமர்ந்திருக்கும்” என்றாராம்.
ராம நாமத்தின் மகிமை அத்தகையது.

Twitter’s official “Dronie” is at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity this year, taking the robot-powered zoom out selfies first popularized by the NYT’s Nick Bilton andPhotojojo founder Amit Gupta. The Dronie is a UAV with a camera mount that records dronies to post to its official Twitter account using a camera mounted to its undercarriage, and Twitter’s six-second video service Vine as the publication method. The first dronie captured by the account features Sir Patrick Stewart, whose selfie game is famously tight.

The account was created by Twitter Advertising, and Twitter VP of Brand Strategy Joel Lunenfeld co-stars in the Patrick Stewart inaugural edition. The project is part of a larger push by Twitter’s advertising department to showcase the importance of live coverage at the annual awards show, which is designed to honor creative communications professionals. It’s a smart way to highlight two Twitter products (the main network and Vine) with a modern trend and a robotics hobbyist angle thrown in for good measure.
Only time will tell whether the Dronie becomes a regular fixture even at more star-studded events, but that will likely depend on how quickly the public grows tired of UAVs shooting video while flying away from their subjects in reverse
