The Pilot.

A priest was on a long flight home after a Church Conference.

The first warning of approaching problems came when the
‘Fasten Your Seat Belts’ sign flashed on.
After a while a calm voice said,
“We shall not be serving beverages at this time as we are expecting a little turbulence.
Please make sure your seat belt is fastened.”

The priest looked around the aircraft and saw that many of the passengers were becoming apprehensive.
Later, the voice on the intercom said,
“We are so sorry that we are unable to serve meals at this time…
The turbulence is still ahead of us.”

And then the storm broke.
The ominous cracks of thunder could be heard even above the roar of the engines.
Lightning lit up the darkening skies, and within moments that great plane was tossed around like a cork in a celestial ocean.
One moment it was lifted on terrific currents of air, the next it fell as if about to crash.

As the priest looked around he could see that nearly
all the passengers were alarmed – except one little girl!

She sat calmly, feet tucked under her, looking at pictures in a book, oblivious of the turbulence around her.
Sometimes she would close her eyes, and then she would go back to her book.

The storm blew over.
When the plane landed and the passengers were disembarking,
the priest approached the little girl and asked her why she was not afraid like the other passengers.

The little girl replied,
“Cause my Daddy’s the pilot and he’s taking me home.”

There are many storms that buffet us…
Physical, mental, financial, domestic and other storms that can darken our skies and throw us into turmoil.

Like the little girl, let us always remember:

Our Father…. GOD… is the Pilot.
He is in complete control… He will take us Home… Don’t worry!

Mother Nature

When you have a Passion and a Reason to do something,
You’ll surely have what you want… It may seem hard or even impossible, but if you have a Strong Enough Reason to do Something, You’ll be able to tap in your Inner God-given Potential!

Cheerful people are like Sunlight.
They shine in to the corners of the heart &
offer bright mornings & fresh hopes.
Good Morning to one such person!!!

Never let life’s hardships disturb you.
After all, no one can avoid problems, not even saints or gods.”

If it stops with you, then the blessing will disappear. The blessing will only keep working if it is continuously passed around. If you are a recipient of a blessing, keeps the blessing working by being the source of blessing to other people.

Never be sad for missing
Whatever you expected… but be happy
Because God has planned to give another one
Better than what you expected
Think.

No one is born happy…
But all of us are born with the ability to create happiness…
So today, make others happy…
Flash your sweetest smile…

Message For the Day… Be Kind and Be Pure ….

Just as the body is the house you live in, the universe is the body of God. An ant biting the little finger of your foot draws your entire attention to the spot in a split second, and you react to the pain and make an effort to remove the tiny enemy immediately. So too, you must feel the pain, the misery of the people, in the society around you. Pause for a moment to calculate what good you have done to the society that is helping you live your life comfortably. Do not fritter away your talents in profitless channels. You should not be a burden on others, or an enemy to your own self. Expand your sympathies to serve others, who stand in need, to the extent of your skill and resources. Be kind to all your kith and kin.

Road to Happiness!!!!!

source:::
An excerpt from Book
“The Road to Happiness”
by Mac Anderson and BJ Gallagher

When I travel on business, I like to talk to the taxi drivers who take me from the airport to my hotel, or to a convention center, or to a restaurant. Taxi drivers are often immigrants with interesting personal histories and unusual cultural backgrounds. I ask them how long they’ve been in America, how they chose which city to live in, and what they like best about where they live. Of course, I also ask them for advice on good local restaurants and any special attractions they’d recommend to a visitor. I’ve had some great experiences on my travels, thanks to the advice of taxi drivers!

On one trip about ten years ago, I was making conversation with the taxi driver, asking him my usual questions about how he came to live where he lived. Then I asked him a hypothetical question: “If you could live anywhere in the world-and if money was no object-where would you live?”

Without hesitating even for a second, he replied, “I live in my heart. So it really doesn’t matter where my body lives. If I am happy inside, then I live in paradise, no matter where my residence is.”

I felt humbled and a little foolish for my question. Of course he was right-happiness is an inside job. He had reminded me of something I already knew, but had forgotten. If you can’t find happiness inside yourself, you’ll never find it in the outside world, no matter where you move. Wherever you go, there you are. You take yourself with you.

I am grateful for the wisdom of that taxi driver. And I’m grateful for all the wisdom others have shared with me about how to be happy.

Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.”Learn how to be happy with what you have while you pursue all that you want.”

What do You do For Others is More Important than What you Do for Yourself!!!!

A voyaging ship was wrecked during a storm at sea and only two of the men on it were able to swim to a small, desert like island. The two survivors, not knowing what else to do, agree that they had no other recourse but to pray to God. However, to find out whose prayer was more powerful, they agreed to divide the territory between them and stay on
opposite sides of the island.

The first thing they prayed for was food. The next morning, the first man saw a fruit-bearing tree on his side of the land and he was able to eat it’s fruit. The other man’s parcel of land remained barren!

After a week, the first man was lonely and he decided to pray for a wife. The next day, there was a woman who swam to his side of the land. On the other side of the island, again there was nothing!

Soon the first man prayed for a house, clothes, more food. The next day, like magic, all of these were given to him. However, the second man still had nothing!

Finally, the first man prayed for a ship, so that he and his wife could leave the island. In the morning, he found a ship docked at his side of the island. The first man boarded the ship with his wife and decided to leave the second man on the island. He considered the other man unworthy to receive God’s blessings, since none of his prayers had been answered.

As the ship was about to leave, the first man heard a voice from heaven booming, “Why are you leaving your companion on the island?”
“My blessings are mine alone, since I was the one who prayed for them,” the first man answered. “His prayers were all unanswered and so he does not deserve anything.”

“You are mistaken!” the voice rebuked him. “He had only one prayer, which I answered. If not for that, you would not have received any of my blessings.”

“Tell me, O God,” the first man asked the voice, “What did he pray for that I should owe him anything?”

“He prayed that all your prayers be answered.”

For all we know, our blessings are not the fruits of our prayers alone, but those of another praying for us.

This is too good not to share…

My prayer for you today is that all your prayers are answered. Be blessed.

“What you do for others is more important than what you do for yourself”

This was shared with me by a friend, I hope you will share with your friends!

Message For the Day…Your Body Is A Temple !!!!

“Deho Devalaya” – Body is the temple, scriptures teach us. Realize that the human body is not just a mass of flesh and bone. The human body is a sacred instrument equipped with reason and emotion, capable of being used for deliverance from grief and evil; you have earned it after long ages of struggle. Honour it as such, keep it in good condition, so that it might serve that high purpose. Maintain it even more carefully than your brick homes and never let go of the conviction that it is an instrument and nothing more. Use it justly, for the purpose for which it has been designed and given. Install the Lord in the altar of your heart and invite Him into it. God loves to reside in a pure and aspiring heart.

Message For the Day… Be Grateful To GOD…

How to develop Gratitude?

If you look around the world, you will realize that the design of nature is so perfect. Everything functions meticulously in your favour and yet, you complain when you lack minor things. This craving for what you do not have is ingratitude.

Think about the number of years you have been arrogating various provisions. If you were to pay for these provisions, it would add upto several digits. The law of gravity is maintained perfectly. The Ozone layer in the ionosphere is designed to prevent ultraviolet rays. Oxygen is heavier than all other gases so it remains on the ground for us to breathe, and all other poisonous gases rise into the atmosphere. Who is responsible for this? There seems to be an unseen benefactor. You need to be grateful to the unseen provider!

Further, imagine if you were to set up a family on the moon, do you realize the number of things you would have to take care of like water, the atmospheric condition, and millions of other designs of nature?

We take many things for granted because they are already taken care of, and yet, we are ungrateful for all the provisions.

If you examine your life within you, you find so many things that can go wrong, but they are maintained ingeniously. Therefore, when your mind desires something that you do not have, count the blessings and focus on those things that you already have.

You have to be aware of your provisions and your provider. Thereafter, you develop an attitude of gratitude. Devotion to GOD is essence in this attitude of gratitude. Marcus Aurelius recommended the technique to Think of what you have rather than what you lack. Of the things you have, select the best and then reflect how eagerly you would have sought them, if you did not have them

Always learn to enjoy the GOD Gifted short life, before we realize that it was too late!

Message For The Day!!!!!!

Success follows those who follow the Truth

That is the law. If your motive in life is to seek material wealth alone, success will elude you. However, if you pursue the higher aspect, the Truth, in and through all your worldly activities such as your business, profession, politics, sport, knowledge or love, success will be your shadow. It is said Knock the door; it shall be opened unto you. That is, knock at the door of a higher purpose and everything else will open for you.

Prosperity is a by-product of your progress in the path of higher and nobler values. Modern generation may not realize this vital law of life. To them this may seem a paradox. They are tempted to violate this unrelenting law and take short cut due to the temptation towards the instant benefit.

Taking short cut may bring short term pleasure, but they pay long term penalty. Reflect over this law and realize the essence of true satisfaction.
