First images from ExoMars mission…!!!
A camera on board ESA’s ExoMars mission has returned its first images from orbit. It was meant to be a test, but the images are spectacular.

What would Earth be like with no moon?
Earth without its moon would be a very different world indeed. No eclipses. Smaller tides. But the biggest change would be in the length of Earth’s day.

புதையல்
……….
கையில் இருக்கும் பொருளின் மதிப்பு தெரியாது நமக்கு
அது மண்ணுக்குள் புதையும் வரை … உறவுகளும்
இதில் அடங்கும் ! அன்பும் ஆதரவும் தேடும்
முதியோரை உனக்கு கிடைத்த புதையலாக
நினைத்து அரவணைத்தால் வேறு எந்த ஒரு புதையலையும்
தேடி என்றும் அலைய வேண்டாம் தம்பி நீ !
காலம் மாறும்! காட்சியும் மாறும்! நீயும் ஒரு
புதையலாக தெரிய வேண்டும் ஒரு நாள் உன் பிள்ளைக்கு!..இந்த
புதையல் மட்டும் மண்ணில் புதையாமல் வளர வேண்டும்
ஒரு மரமாக உன் வீட்டில் என்றும் ! புதையல் மரம்
துளிர்த்து தளிர்த்து வளர விதைத்திடு ஒரு விதை நீ இன்று !

Why stars twinkle, but planets don’t……..
Stars and planets both shine steadily, when seen from outer space. But – from Earth – stars twinkle while planets (usually) don’t. Why?
