Message For The Day…Experience The Truth Silently…

There is no use arguing and quarrelling amongst you. Examine, experience and then you will know the truth. Be silent when you are still undecided or engaged in evaluating. Do not proclaim before you are convinced. Of course, you must discard all evil in you before you can attempt to evaluate the mystery. When faith dawns, it is very important to fence it with discipline and self-control. Just as the tender sapling is guarded with a fence to protect against the goats and cattle; you too should stay away from the motley crowd of cynics and unbelievers. When your faith grows into a big tree, those very cattle which wanted to eat the young plant now lay and rest in the shade of the tree which has spread with lots of branches and leaves.

Mahaperiavar”s Sense of Humour !!!

Once, an overweight lady came for Mahaperiava’s Dharsan. She was not able to do ‘Namaskaaram’ to Periava. With mixed feelings of Bhakthi and Embarrassment, she just stood there with folded hands.

“I am a diabetic. Doctor has told me that I should reduce myweight and for that I should walk for one hour daily. But, I am not able to walk even for ten minutes.” —she complained to Him. Then she continued, “ Periava should tell me an easier way”.

“ All these doctors are same. They will only repeat what is written inmedical books, but will never look from the practical point of view…”

The lady brightened up expecting that Periava was going to tell her an easy way!. Her eyes showed a lot of expectation.

“ If one wants to be healthy without any disease , one requires Bagavaan’s compassion….”

The lady’s heart started beating fast.

“ Is there a temple near your house?”

“Yes Periava! A big Shiva temple.”

“Good! Do six ‘pradhakshina’s daily in the morning and evening. And clean the temple with broomstick for 100 feet daily..”

The lady was very happy and returned home with Prasaadham!

A disciple who was assisting Periava, was struggling to control his laugh!

“ Did I tell her wrongly..?” asked Periava!

“ No Periava! The doctor prescribed ‘ walking’ , and Periava prescribed ‘Pradhakshinam’……”—answered the disciple!

‘Oh! Do you mean that the medicine prescribed by both of us is ‘Adhvaitha’ and the names are ‘Dhvaitha’ ..?”

That is a sample of Periava’s subtle humour!

Message For The Day….Dont Ignore Traffic Signals In Life !!!!

The system of education, which promotes an attitude of contempt towards learning that does not yield monetary benefits, is largely responsible for the neglect of great scriptures and saints. Another cause is the general decline in the moral standards of living. When all are sliding down the easy path of flippancy, those who advise against it and warn about the inevitable disaster are ignored and laughed at. Sunk in the search of pleasures and cheap recreation, people become deaf to the counsels of the ancient and calls of the sublime. Scriptures are like traffic signals in a busy junction. If the signals are removed, the journey is rendered slow and difficult, filled with accidents and chaos. We cannot afford to destroy them. We have to restore them for the well-being of humanity.

There is no nobler quality in the world than love. It is wisdom. It is righteousness. It is wealth.   Sathya Sai Baba
It is Truth. – Baba

Message For The Day…..Keep Pace With Time For Sadhana !!!!

Life is short, time is fleeing: your spiritual practice (sadhana) is creeping at tortoise pace. When will you decide to proceed a little faster? Your sadhana is like the answers you write at the examination. If you get only five or six marks, the examiner will strike out even that, saying, “What is the use of these few marks: it will take this student neither here nor there.” If you get somewhere near the passing marks, then Grace will give you just a little more so that you may pass, provided you have been a diligent and well-behaved student. Engage yourselves in good deeds, good company and good thoughts. Fix your attention on the goal.

 Spiritual Sadhana means cultivating good thoughts and undertaking good deeds. – Baba

A Winning Smile !!!!

This story concerns the legendary sage Mulla Nasruddin, whose humourous tales contain a delightful down to earth wisdom which cross cultures and centuries. Many different middle-eastern regions claim him to be their own, where the ever popular Nasruddin is often shown besting his worldly superiors. As in the following anecdote, he somehow always manages to score the winning point.

The Sultan of Arabia had grown very fond of Mulla Nasruddin and often took him along on his travels. Once, while on a journey, the royal caravan approached a small nondescript town in the desert.

On a whim, the Sultan said to the Mulla, “I wonder if people would know me in this small place. Let us stop my entourage here and enter the town on foot, and then we’ll see if they can recognize me.”

Accordingly, they dismounted and walked down the main road of the dusty town. The Sultan was surprised to see that many people smiled at Nasruddin, but ignored him completely.

Irritated and a trifle angry, he said, “I see that the people here know you but they don’t know me!”

“They don’t know me either, Your Excellency!” replied the Mulla, innocently.

“Then why did they only smile at you?” questioned the Sultan.

“Because I smiled at them.” said Nasruddin, smiling.

This simple tale beautifully portrays how the simplicity of a childlike smile can speak more than worldly finery and authority. Often we may believe in the power of our intelligence, or our ability to impress or argue a point, but fundamentally when we express the five human values as ‘love in action’ we will more often than not receive a response from people’s hearts and create little miracles of love. Sometimes the silent strength hidden in our soul can blossom forth in a simple smile – try it!

Power of Words You Speak ….You Are What You Think of Yourself !!!!

Tremendous Powers of
Words You Speak

Think about the tremendous power of words:

* Do you keep telling yourself how difficult life is? If you do, you will always see difficulties everywhere.
* Do you keep telling yourself how poor you are? If you do, your subconscious mind will always be busy justifying these thoughts.
Change the words and sentences you use, and you will get different results. The way you phrase a sentence will always affect the results, and some results could be quite dramatic.
This applies to words you repeat in your mind, words you say aloud, and words you read.
Different words affect people and differently and cause different reactions. This applies to work interviews, dating, advertising, relationships, conversations and every sort of communication.
The words you repeat in your mind, in your inner conversations, also have a tremendous power. If you change them, you can change your life, and also how people treat you.
Pay attention to the words you constantly repeat in your mind. Be aware of what is going on in your mind, when you are not too busy, such as while waiting in line, travelling by bus or train, walking, or at any other time you are mentally not busy.
What kind of words do you repeat in your mind?
If you always say:
* I am weak
* I am poor
* I cannot…
* This is a problem
Change the words, and instead say:
* I am strong.
* I am rich.
* I can.
* This a solvable challenge
Say these words with faith and conviction, not just uttering them without believing them. This might be difficult at first, but if you persist, the inner resistance will get weaker, and the words would sink into your subconscious mind. When this happens, things would start changing in your life.
Remember that words have power:

1. Words can change your life
2. Words affect how you feel
3. Words affect how you react
4. Words affect how you treat people, and how you treat them
5. Different words bring different results
Are you seeking to improve your life, earn more money, develop new habits, achieve success, or make changes in your life?
Learn how to use affirmations effectively. This is easy and simple.
Everything you need to know about affirmations and how to use them for every goal and situation.

Message For The Day….Simple Way To Meditate !!!

 Sathya Sai Baba

You have the perfect freedom to select the Name and Form that gives you necessary encouragement. When you sit for meditation, recite chants on the Glory of God, so that the thoughts that are scattered could be collected. Then gradually your focus on the Lord will intensify. During meditation, the mind often runs after something else, it takes another road! You have to plug that outlet very quickly by recalling the Name and Form of your favourite Lord. See that the even flow of thoughts towards the Lord is not interrupted. Do not allow the mind to go beyond the twin bunds – the Name on one side and Form on the other! Thus you can easily tame your mind.

Which Wolf Will Win ? !!!

TWO WOLVES
An elder Cherokee Native American was teaching his grandchildren about life.
He said to them, “A fight is going on inside me, it is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One wolf represents fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other stands for joy, peace, love, hope, sharing, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, friendship, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.
This same fight is going on inside you, and inside every other person, too.”
They thought about it for a minute and then one child asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”
The old Cherokee simply replied: “The one you feed.”
