Have faith in God’s plan

Once there was a sweeper in a well known temple and he was very sincere and devoted. Every time he saw thousands of devotees coming to take darshan of the Lord,he thought that the Lord is standing all the time and giving darshan and He must be feeling very tired.

So one day very innocently he asked the Lord whether he can take the place of the Lord for a day so that the Lord can have some relief and rest.The Deity of Temple replied, “I do not mind taking a break. I will transform you like Myself, but you must do one thing.you must just stand here like Me, smile at everyone and just give benedictions.
Do not interfere with anything and do not say anything.Remember you are the deity and you just have faith that I have a master plan for everything. The sweeper agreed to this. The next day the sweeper took the position of the deity and a rich man came and prayed to the Lord. He offered a nice donation and prayed that his business should be prosperous. While going, the rich man inadvertently left his wallet full of money right there. Now the sweeper in the form of deity could not call him and so he decided to control himself and keep quiet. Just then a poor man came and he put one coin in the Hundi and said that it was all he could afford and he prayed to the Lord that he should continue to be engaged in the Lord’s service. He also said that his family was in dire need of some basic needs but he left it to the good hands of the Lord to give some solution.
 When he opened his eyes, he saw the wallet left by the rich man.The poor man thanked the Lord for His kindness and took the wallet very innocently. The sweeper in the form of the Deity could not say anything and he had to just keep smiling.
 At that point a sailor walked in. He prayed for his safe journey as he was going on a long trip.Just then the rich man came with the police and said that somebody has stolen his wallet and seeing the sailor there, he asked the police to arrest him thinking that he might have taken it.
Now the sweeper in the form of Deity wanted to say that the sailor is not the thief but he could not say so and he became greatly frustrated. The sailor looked at the Lord and asked why he, an innocent person, is being punished.The rich man looked at the Lord and thanked Him for finding the thief. The sweeper in the deity form could no more tolerate and he thought that even if the real Lord had been here, he would have definitely interfered and hence he started speaking and said that the sailor is not the thief but it was the poor man who took away the wallet. The rich man was very thankful as also the sailor.
 In the night, the real Lord came and He asked the sweeper how the day was. The sweeper said, “I thought it would be easy, but now I know that Your days are not easy, but I did one good thing.” Then he explained the whole episode to the Lord. 
The Lord became very upset on hearing this whereas the sweeper thought the Lord would appreciate him for the good deed done. The Lord asked, “Why did you not just stick to the plan? You had no faith in Me. Do you think that I do not understand the hearts of all those who come here? All the donation which the rich man gave was all stolen money and it is only a fraction of what he really has and he wants Me to reciprocate unlimitedly. The single coin offered by the poor man was the last coin he was having and he gave it to Me out of faith.
 The sailor might not have done anything wrong, but if the sailor were to go in the ship that night he was about to die because of bad weather and instead if he is arrested he would be in the jail and he would have been saved form a greater calamity.
 The wallet should go to the poor man because he will use it in My service. I was going to reduce the rich man’s karma also by doing this and save the sailor also. But you canceled everything because you thought you know My plan and you made your own plans.”
 Moral: God has plans and justice for everyone….We just have to have patience!!!!!
This reminds me about another nice quote which we used to see in a church on the way to Melbourne Mahaprabhu mandir.  

“GOD has you in HIS plan. Do you have GOD in your plan?”

In every one of you, God is the moving spirit, the very Soul; how then can you be evil, when you are here fulfilling God’s purpose, according to His will, His plan and His law? God has endowed you with many faculties so that you may seek Him and reach Him. You are not therefore, a helpless and neglected individual undergoing a sentence of death. You are an embodiment of bliss, born to a rich heritage, which is all yours! Only you fail to ask. Have faith in your destiny and work steadily to attain it! Devotion is attachment to God – you need not leave hearth and home for it. If the seed is planted away from the parent tree, will it grow any different? No! Boil the seed and then it will not grow again. Similarly, boil your instincts and impulses, and scorch the sensory cravings that enslave you. Then you will get nearer to God, wherever you may be.

Message For the Day…Need for Self Realisation …

Mud existed before plates and pots were made out of it; pots and plates are mud, and mud will remain when plates and pots are no more. The plate and the pot must be aware of their being always mud; that in other words, is Self-Realisation. When that is achieved, wherever your eyes are cast, you will find yourself; and wherever your attention is directed, you will see your reflection. Begin to feel it now, from this very moment! Seek to identify yourself as part of the grand and glorious Entity, for all Grandeur and all Glory is His, ultimately!

” Are you Really Qualified to Discuss” !….

  An atheist and a  little girl !
An atheist was seated next to a little girl on an airplane and he turned to her and said,
“Do you want to talk? Flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.”

The little girl, who had just started to read her book, replied to the total stranger,

“What would you want to talk about?”

“Oh, I don’t know,” said the atheist. “How about why there is no God, or no Heaven or Hell, or no life after death?” as he smiled smugly.

“Okay,” she said. “Those could be interesting topics but let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff – grass.
Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, but a horse produces clumps.
Why do you suppose that is?”

The atheist, visibly surprised by the little girl’s intelligence, thinks about it and says, “Hmmm, I have no idea.”

To which the little girl replies, “Do you really feel qualified to discuss
God, Heaven and Hell, or life after death, when you don’t know SHIT.?”

And then she went back to reading her book.

Message for the Day…Whole World is a Mansion of God…

The body is said to be the tabernacle of God. In fact the world itself is the body of God. A pinprick on the toe is immediately recognised as an injury to the self, because the toe is part of the self-same body. So too, suffering in one corner of the world is as much the concern of the Lord, as suffering in any other. The whole world is a mansion of the Lord. All countries and states are mere rooms in His mansion. Never forget that the whole world is a temple of the Lord; it is His body and He resides in it!

“இந்த எறும்புகளை ஒதறி விட்டா …அது நியாயமா?… சொல்லுங்கோ” !!!

பெரியவாளோட வலதுகாலில் எப்படியோ சின்னக் காயம் உண்டாகி லேசான ரத்தக் கசிவு இருந்தது. அதில் ஒரு சொட்டு ரத்தம் மாதுளைமுத்துப் போல் இருந்தது.

பெரியவாளோ அதைப் பற்றிய சிந்தனையே இல்லாமல், சுற்றி இருந்தவர்களிடம் பேசிக் கொண்டிருந்தார்.

ஒரு எறும்பு வந்தது. அந்த காயத்தின் மேல் ஊர்ந்தது. உடனே சங்கேத பாஷை மூலம் செய்தி அனுப்பி, கொஞ்ச நேரத்தில் ஒரு படையே சொந்த பந்தங்களோடு பெரியவாளுடைய சரணத்தில் இருந்த ரத்தக் கசிவை சுவை பார்த்தன.

“எறும்புகளை தட்டி விடுங்கோ பெரியவா” என்று சொல்ல முடியுமா? சுற்றி இருந்த சிஷ்யர்களுக்கோ ஒரே அவஸ்தை!

அப்போது பெரியவாளிடம் கொஞ்சம் உரிமை எடுத்துக் கொண்டு பேசக் கூடிய ஒரு பக்தர் வந்தார். உடனே அவரிடம் ரகசியமாக எறும்பைக் காட்டினார்கள் சிஷ்யர்கள்.

“பெரியவா கால்ல எறும்பு மொய்க்கறதே?” என்று பணிவோடு கூறினார் பக்தர்.

ஒரு செகண்ட் அருள் நிறைந்த பார்வை பார்த்தார் பெரியவா. “விபீஷணன் ராமசந்த்ரமூர்த்தியை சரணாகதி பண்ணினான்ன்னு படிக்கறோம். வாயால “சரணாகதி” ன்னு சொன்னான். ஆனா, ராமனோட பாதங்களை இறுகக் கட்டிக்கலை. அப்பிடியிருந்தும் ராமன் ரொம்ப இறக்கப்பட்டு, விபீஷணனுக்கு அடைக்கலம் குடுத்தான்.”

“இப்போ இந்த ராமாயணம் எதுக்கு?” சிஷ்யர்களின் சந்தேகத்துக்கு விளக்கம் வந்தது.

“இந்த எறும்புகளோ, என் காலையே கெட்டியாப் பிடிச்சிண்டிருக்கு! அதுகள் என்ன சொல்லறதுன்னு கேக்காம, ஒதறி விட்டா, அது ஞாயமா? சொல்லுங்கோ” – ராமனை விட பலபடிகள் உயர்ந்து நின்றார் பெரியவா!

“உடல் வேறு ஆன்மா வேறு” என்பதை கண்கூடாக சிஷ்யர்களுக்கு நிரூபித்தார்.

ரத்த சுவைக்காக அவை அவருடைய பாதங்களில் ஊர்ந்ததையே ஒரு வ்யாஜமாகக் கொண்டு, “சரணாகதி” என்று ஏற்றுக் கொண்ட கருணை பெரியவாளைத் தவிர யாருக்கு வரும்?

நம் மேல் ஒரு எறும்பு ஊறினால் கூட, அடுத்த செகண்ட் அது உருத் தெரியாமல் நசுங்கி விடும்.

நமக்கும் நல்லறிவை தர பெரியவாளிடம் பிரார்த்தனை செய்வோம்.

Message For the Day…” Have Tolerance and Patience with Mutual Helping Attitude “..

Spiritual Practice (Sadhana) must be done in a disciplined and systematic manner, in an atmosphere filled with virtues. Just as fans in a large hall cool the atmosphere and provide soothing breeze to the people gathered there, so too, the fans of Truth, Right Conduct, Peace and Love (Sathya, Dharma, Shanthi,and Prema) are necessary to reduce the sweltering heat of ignorance, falsehood, injustice and indiscipline (Ajnaana, Asathya, Anyaaya and Akrama). In a world where noble conduct is being insulted and denied at every turn, peace and tolerance are the only means through which you can save yourself. This is the most important aspect that I ask you to cultivate. In every act, have tolerance and patience with a mutual helping attitude. In the family, cultivate patience and mutual respect; in the community, have righteousness and justice.

படித்ததில் பிடித்தது …. “பெருமாளை துணைக்கு அழைப்பது ஏன் ?”

புரிந்தது  …..தெளிந்தது !!!

 

 
ஒரு துறவி தன் சீடனுடன் குடிலில் அமர்ந்திருந்தார்.
ஒரு குடும்பஸ்தர் வந்தார்.
“”சுவாமி! எனக்கு ஆயிரம் கடன்கள். பெண்ணுக்கு கல்யாணம் செய்ய வழியில்லை. உடல்நிலையும் சரியில்லை. இந்த பிரச்னை தீர யோசனை கூறுங்கள்…” என்று கேட்டார்.
“”அப்பனே! இதுவிதிப்பயன். மாற்றலாகாது. பெருமாள் நாமத்தை மனதார உச்சரி; கஷ்டங்களைக் குறைக்கலாம்,” என்றார் துறவி.
வந்தவர் விரக்தியாய் கேட்டார்.
“”உங்கள் கூற்றுப்படி, விதிப்படி தான் எல்லாம் நடக்குமென்றால், பெருமாளை துணைக்கு அழைப்பானேன்! அவன் நாமத்தை
சொல்லுவானேன்!”.
குரு சிரித்தார்.
“”மகனே! பெருமாள் கிருஷ்ணாவதாரம், ராமாவதாரம் எடுத்தார். மனிதரூபத்தில் இருந்தார். அவர் நினைத்தால் எல்லாவற்றையும் மாற்றியிருக்க முடியும். ஆனால், அதர்மத்தை நடக்க விட்டதும், பெரும் துன்பப் போராட்டத்திற்குப் பின், தர்மத்தை வெல்லச் செய்ததும். விதியின் வலிமையை உணர்த்துவதற்காகத் தான்! காய்ச்சல் வந்தால், மருந்து சாப்பிட்டு அதைக் குறைப்பது போலத்தான் விதியின் பாதை. அந்தப் பாதையை மாற்ற முடியாது. ஆனால், அதன் கடுமையை குறைக்கவே கடவுளிடம் வேண்டுகிறோம், புரிகிறதா!” என்றார்.
வந்தவருக்கு நன்றாய் புரிந்தது, மனம் தெளிந்தது

 

ஒரு பணக்காரரும், பரம ஏழையும் திருப்பதி சென்றனர். வேங்கடவன் அருள்வேண்டி தரிசனம் செய்தனர்.
அது திருவிழா காலம். எனவே, வழக்கமான கூட்டத்தை விட இரண்டரை மடங்கு கூட்டம்.
தரிசனம் முடித்த அவர்கள், லட்டுக்காக வரிசையில் காத்து நின்றனர். பணக்காரருக்கு நான்கு லட்டுகள் கிடைத்தது. ஏழையால் ஒன்றே ஒன்று தான் வாங்க முடிந்தது.
அவனுக்கு மிகவும் வருத்தம். மலைப்பாதையில் திரும்பி வரும் போது, ஒரு துறவியைச் சந்தித்தான்.
“”சுவாமி! செல்வந்தர்களால் எல்லாமே வாங்க முடிகிறது. ஏழையாய் பிறந்த பாவத்தால் என்னால், ஒரு லட்டு கூட அதிகமாக வாங்க முடியவில்லை,”. அவன் பரிதாபமாக சொன்னது கேட்டு, குரு சிரித்தார். அமைதியாய் பேசினார், “”மகனே! அந்த பணக்காரனுக்கு நாலு லட்டு கிடைத்திருக்கலாம். ஆனால், அவரால் துளிக்கூட உண்ண இயலாது. அவர் சர்க்கரை வியாதிக்காரர். ஆனாலும், அவர் அவற்றை வாங்கியது ஏன் தெரியுமா! தன் உறவுகளுக்கும், நண்பர்களுக்கும் பகிர்ந்தளிக்க..! பக்தியின் நோக்கம் என்ன தெரியுமா?
பிறருக்கு பகிர்ந்தளித்தல் தான்! அவரவருக்கு கிடைப்பதில், எவ்வளவு முடியுமோ அவ்வளவை மற்றவர்களுக்கு பகிர்ந்தளிக்க வேண்டும். அது மட்டுமல்ல! இதிலே இன்னொரு தத்துவமும் புதைந்து கிடக்கிறது.
திருப்பதி லட்டு அமிர்தம் போல் சுவையானது. இதை யாருக்காவது சிறு துண்டு கொடுத்தால் கூட, இன்னொரு துண்டு கிடைக்காதா என ஏங்க வைக்கும். இறைவனின் கருணையும் அப்படித்தான்.
அவனது கருணை மழையில் சிறுதுளியாவது கிடைக்காதா என்றுதான், ஒவ்வொரு பக்தனும் ஏங்குகிறான்.
உனக்கு கிடைத்த இந்த ஒரு லட்டில் சிறு துண்டை, நீ எடுத்துக்கொள். மீதியை மற்றவர்களுக்கு பகிர்ந்து கொடு. ஏழுமலையான் உன் வீட்டிற்கே வந்து விடுவான்,” என்றார்.
ஏழையின் மனம் தெளிந்தது.
