கோயில் திருப்பணிக்கு உதவுங்க …புண்ணியம் தானாக சேரும் !!!

ஒரு நல்ல காரியத்துக்கு உதவி செய்வது புண்ணியம். கோவில் கும்பாபிஷேகம், திருப்பணி போன்ற காரியங்களுக்கு நம்மால் என்ன கொடுக்க முடியுமோ அதைக் கொடுத்து, புண்ணியத்தை சம்பாதித்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும். உன்னுடைய தர்மமாக, ஒரு செங்கல் கொடுத்தாலும், அந்த செங்கல், அந்த ஆலயத்தில், எத்தனை வருஷங்கள் உள்ளதோ, அத்தனை ஆயிரம் வருஷங்கள் கைலாசத்திலோ, வைகுண்டத்திலோ வாசம் செய்யலாமாம். ஒரு ஏழையின் கல்யாணத்துக்கு உதவுவதும், சிவபூஜை செய்யும் ஒருவருக்கு பூஜைக்கு வேண்டிய பூவோ, பழமோ, கற்பூரமோ ஏதாவது ஒன்றை கொடுத்தாலும் புண்ணியம் உண்டாகும்.
ஒரு அந்தணர், தெருவில் எதையோ தேடிக் கொண்டிருந்தார். அவர் நெடுநேரம் தேடுவதைப் பார்த்த ஒருவர், ‘ஐயா… என்ன தேடுகிறீர்கள்?’ என்று கேட்டார். ‘சிவ பூஜைக்கு, வாழைப்பழம் வாங்குவதற்காக, ஓரணா வைத்திருந்தேன். அது கீழே விழுந்து விட்டது. அதைத்தேடிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறேன்…’ என்றார். ‘பரவாயில்லை பூஜைக்கும் நாழியாகிவிட்டது; நான் ஓரணா தருகிறேன். வாழைப்பழம் வாங்கி, பூஜையை முடித்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்…’என்று சொல்லி, ஓரணாவைக் கொடுத்துவிட்டுப் போய்விட்டார். (அந்தக் காலத்தில் ஓரணாவுக்கு நாலு வாழைப்பழம்.) அவரும், ஓரணாவுக்கு வாழைப்பழம் வாங்கி வைத்து, பூஜையை முடித்தார்.
தேவேந்திரன், ஒரு நாள், தர்மராஜன் சபைக்கு வந்தான். எமதர்மன், தேவேந்திரனை உபசரித்து வரவேற்றான். சபையில், ஒரு ரத்ன சிம்மாசனமும், ஒரு தங்கத்தாலான சிம்மாசனமும், போடப்பட்டிருந்தது. அந்த சமயம், இரண்டு தேவ விமானங்கள் வந்தன. எமதர்மன், ஓடிப்போய் விமானத்திலிருந்தவரை வரவேற்று உபசரித்தான். ஒவ்வொரு விமானத்திலிருந்தும், ஒவ்வொரு புண்ணிய புருஷர் இறங்கினர். எமதர்மன், ஒருவரை, ரத்ன சிம்மாசனத்திலும், மற்றொருவரை, தங்க சிம்மாசனத்திலும், உட்கார வைத்தான். ‘புண்ணிய புருஷர்களான நீங்கள் இங்கு வந்தது என் பாக்யம்…’ என்று சொல்லி, அவர்களை, எமதர்மன் உபசரித்ததை பார்த்த தேவேந்திரன், எமதர்மனைப் பார்த்து, ‘இவர்கள் அப்படி என்ன புண்ணியம் செய்தனர்! அதிலும், ஒருவரை ரத்ன சிம்மாசனத்திலும், ஒருவரை தங்க சிம்மாசனத்திலும் உட்கார வைத்திருக்கிறாயே…’ என்று கேட்டான்.
அதற்கு எமதர்மன், ‘இதோ தங்க சிம்மாசனத்தில் இருப்பவர், தினமும், சிரத்தையுடன் சிவ பூஜை செய்தவர். அந்த புண்ணியத்தினால், இவரை தங்க சிம்மாசனத்தில் உட்கார வைத்திருக்கிறேன். மற்றொருவரோ சிவ பூஜைக்கு உதவி செய்தவர். ஒரு நாள், சிவ பூஜைக்கு வாழைப்பழம் வாங்க வைத்திருந்த காசை தொலைத்துவிட்டு தேடிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் போது, இந்த ரத்ன சிம்மாசனத்தில் இருப்பவர், அவருக்கு காசு கொடுத்து வாழைப்பழம் வாங்க, உதவி செய்தவர். அதனால், இவருக்கு ரத்ன சிம்மாசனம்…’ என்றான் எமதர்மன்.
தேவேந்திரன் ஆச்சரியப்பட்டு, ‘சிவபூஜை செய்தவரை விட, சிவ பூஜைக்கு உதவி செய்தவருக்குத்தான் அதிக புண்ணியம் என்பதை தெரிந்து கொண்டேன்…’ என்று சொல்லி, எமதர்மனிடம் விடைபெற்று, தேவலோகம் சென்றான்.
இங்கு கவனிக்க வேண்டியது என்னவென்றால், ஒரு சிவபூஜை அல்லது கும்பாபிஷேகம் ஆகியவற்றை முன் நின்று நடத்துபவரை விட, அதற்கு உதவி செய்பவர்களுக்கு புண்ணியம் அதிகமாம். அதனால் தான், எங்கேயாவது கும்பாபிஷேகம், திருப்பணி என்றால், ‘என் பணமும் அதில் சேரட்டும்…’ என்று, பணம் கொடுத்து. புண்ணியத்தை சேர்த்துக் கொள்கின்றனர். தெய்வத் திருப்பணிகளுக்குக் கொடுத்தால், புண்ணியம். கொடுத்து பாருங்கள், அந்த புண்ணியம் எப்படி வேலை செய்கிறது என்று தெரிந்து கொள்வீர்கள்!

Have faith in God’s plan

Once there was a sweeper in a well known temple and he was very sincere and devoted. Every time he saw thousands of devotees coming to take darshan of the Lord,he thought that the Lord is standing all the time and giving darshan and He must be feeling very tired.

So one day very innocently he asked the Lord whether he can take the place of the Lord for a day so that the Lord can have some relief and rest.The Deity of Temple replied, “I do not mind taking a break. I will transform you like Myself, but you must do one thing.you must just stand here like Me, smile at everyone and just give benedictions.
Do not interfere with anything and do not say anything.Remember you are the deity and you just have faith that I have a master plan for everything. The sweeper agreed to this. The next day the sweeper took the position of the deity and a rich man came and prayed to the Lord. He offered a nice donation and prayed that his business should be prosperous. While going, the rich man inadvertently left his wallet full of money right there. Now the sweeper in the form of deity could not call him and so he decided to control himself and keep quiet. Just then a poor man came and he put one coin in the Hundi and said that it was all he could afford and he prayed to the Lord that he should continue to be engaged in the Lord’s service. He also said that his family was in dire need of some basic needs but he left it to the good hands of the Lord to give some solution.
 When he opened his eyes, he saw the wallet left by the rich man.The poor man thanked the Lord for His kindness and took the wallet very innocently. The sweeper in the form of the Deity could not say anything and he had to just keep smiling.
 At that point a sailor walked in. He prayed for his safe journey as he was going on a long trip.Just then the rich man came with the police and said that somebody has stolen his wallet and seeing the sailor there, he asked the police to arrest him thinking that he might have taken it.
Now the sweeper in the form of Deity wanted to say that the sailor is not the thief but he could not say so and he became greatly frustrated. The sailor looked at the Lord and asked why he, an innocent person, is being punished.The rich man looked at the Lord and thanked Him for finding the thief. The sweeper in the deity form could no more tolerate and he thought that even if the real Lord had been here, he would have definitely interfered and hence he started speaking and said that the sailor is not the thief but it was the poor man who took away the wallet. The rich man was very thankful as also the sailor.
 In the night, the real Lord came and He asked the sweeper how the day was. The sweeper said, “I thought it would be easy, but now I know that Your days are not easy, but I did one good thing.” Then he explained the whole episode to the Lord. 
The Lord became very upset on hearing this whereas the sweeper thought the Lord would appreciate him for the good deed done. The Lord asked, “Why did you not just stick to the plan? You had no faith in Me. Do you think that I do not understand the hearts of all those who come here? All the donation which the rich man gave was all stolen money and it is only a fraction of what he really has and he wants Me to reciprocate unlimitedly. The single coin offered by the poor man was the last coin he was having and he gave it to Me out of faith.
 The sailor might not have done anything wrong, but if the sailor were to go in the ship that night he was about to die because of bad weather and instead if he is arrested he would be in the jail and he would have been saved form a greater calamity.
 The wallet should go to the poor man because he will use it in My service. I was going to reduce the rich man’s karma also by doing this and save the sailor also. But you canceled everything because you thought you know My plan and you made your own plans.”
 Moral: God has plans and justice for everyone….We just have to have patience!!!!!
This reminds me about another nice quote which we used to see in a church on the way to Melbourne Mahaprabhu mandir.  

“GOD has you in HIS plan. Do you have GOD in your plan?”

புரிந்தது  …..தெளிந்தது !!!

 

 
ஒரு துறவி தன் சீடனுடன் குடிலில் அமர்ந்திருந்தார்.
ஒரு குடும்பஸ்தர் வந்தார்.
“”சுவாமி! எனக்கு ஆயிரம் கடன்கள். பெண்ணுக்கு கல்யாணம் செய்ய வழியில்லை. உடல்நிலையும் சரியில்லை. இந்த பிரச்னை தீர யோசனை கூறுங்கள்…” என்று கேட்டார்.
“”அப்பனே! இதுவிதிப்பயன். மாற்றலாகாது. பெருமாள் நாமத்தை மனதார உச்சரி; கஷ்டங்களைக் குறைக்கலாம்,” என்றார் துறவி.
வந்தவர் விரக்தியாய் கேட்டார்.
“”உங்கள் கூற்றுப்படி, விதிப்படி தான் எல்லாம் நடக்குமென்றால், பெருமாளை துணைக்கு அழைப்பானேன்! அவன் நாமத்தை
சொல்லுவானேன்!”.
குரு சிரித்தார்.
“”மகனே! பெருமாள் கிருஷ்ணாவதாரம், ராமாவதாரம் எடுத்தார். மனிதரூபத்தில் இருந்தார். அவர் நினைத்தால் எல்லாவற்றையும் மாற்றியிருக்க முடியும். ஆனால், அதர்மத்தை நடக்க விட்டதும், பெரும் துன்பப் போராட்டத்திற்குப் பின், தர்மத்தை வெல்லச் செய்ததும். விதியின் வலிமையை உணர்த்துவதற்காகத் தான்! காய்ச்சல் வந்தால், மருந்து சாப்பிட்டு அதைக் குறைப்பது போலத்தான் விதியின் பாதை. அந்தப் பாதையை மாற்ற முடியாது. ஆனால், அதன் கடுமையை குறைக்கவே கடவுளிடம் வேண்டுகிறோம், புரிகிறதா!” என்றார்.
வந்தவருக்கு நன்றாய் புரிந்தது, மனம் தெளிந்தது

 

ஒரு பணக்காரரும், பரம ஏழையும் திருப்பதி சென்றனர். வேங்கடவன் அருள்வேண்டி தரிசனம் செய்தனர்.
அது திருவிழா காலம். எனவே, வழக்கமான கூட்டத்தை விட இரண்டரை மடங்கு கூட்டம்.
தரிசனம் முடித்த அவர்கள், லட்டுக்காக வரிசையில் காத்து நின்றனர். பணக்காரருக்கு நான்கு லட்டுகள் கிடைத்தது. ஏழையால் ஒன்றே ஒன்று தான் வாங்க முடிந்தது.
அவனுக்கு மிகவும் வருத்தம். மலைப்பாதையில் திரும்பி வரும் போது, ஒரு துறவியைச் சந்தித்தான்.
“”சுவாமி! செல்வந்தர்களால் எல்லாமே வாங்க முடிகிறது. ஏழையாய் பிறந்த பாவத்தால் என்னால், ஒரு லட்டு கூட அதிகமாக வாங்க முடியவில்லை,”. அவன் பரிதாபமாக சொன்னது கேட்டு, குரு சிரித்தார். அமைதியாய் பேசினார், “”மகனே! அந்த பணக்காரனுக்கு நாலு லட்டு கிடைத்திருக்கலாம். ஆனால், அவரால் துளிக்கூட உண்ண இயலாது. அவர் சர்க்கரை வியாதிக்காரர். ஆனாலும், அவர் அவற்றை வாங்கியது ஏன் தெரியுமா! தன் உறவுகளுக்கும், நண்பர்களுக்கும் பகிர்ந்தளிக்க..! பக்தியின் நோக்கம் என்ன தெரியுமா?
பிறருக்கு பகிர்ந்தளித்தல் தான்! அவரவருக்கு கிடைப்பதில், எவ்வளவு முடியுமோ அவ்வளவை மற்றவர்களுக்கு பகிர்ந்தளிக்க வேண்டும். அது மட்டுமல்ல! இதிலே இன்னொரு தத்துவமும் புதைந்து கிடக்கிறது.
திருப்பதி லட்டு அமிர்தம் போல் சுவையானது. இதை யாருக்காவது சிறு துண்டு கொடுத்தால் கூட, இன்னொரு துண்டு கிடைக்காதா என ஏங்க வைக்கும். இறைவனின் கருணையும் அப்படித்தான்.
அவனது கருணை மழையில் சிறுதுளியாவது கிடைக்காதா என்றுதான், ஒவ்வொரு பக்தனும் ஏங்குகிறான்.
உனக்கு கிடைத்த இந்த ஒரு லட்டில் சிறு துண்டை, நீ எடுத்துக்கொள். மீதியை மற்றவர்களுக்கு பகிர்ந்து கொடு. ஏழுமலையான் உன் வீட்டிற்கே வந்து விடுவான்,” என்றார்.
ஏழையின் மனம் தெளிந்தது.

” தீராத கோபம் …யாருக்கு லாபம் ” ?

தீராத கோபம் யாருக்கு லாபம்!
எனக்கு தெரிந்த தனியார் பள்ளி ஒன்றில் நடந்த சம்பவம் இது: அன்று வகுப்பறையில், ஆசிரியை மாணவர்களிடம், ‘மறக்க முடியாத கோபமோ அல்லது மன்னிக்க முடியாத கோபமோ, யார் மீதேனும் உங்களுக்கு இருக்கிறதா, சந்தர்ப்பம் கிடைத்தால், யாரையேனும் பழி வாங்கத் துடிக்கிறீர்களா?’ என்று கேட்டார்.
எல்லா மாணவர்களும், ஒரே குரலில், ‘ஆமாம்…’ என்றனர். ஒவ்வொருவரையும் தனித் தனியே அருகில் அழைத்த ஆசிரியை, ‘மன்னிக்கவும், மறக்கவும் முடியாத அளவுக்கு, எத்தனை கோபங்கள் உள்ளன…’ என்று கேட்டார். ஒவ்வொருவரும் பத்து, பதினைந்து என்று அடுக்கிக் கொண்டே போயினர்.
இதையெல்லாம் அமைதியாக கேட்ட ஆசிரியை, அவர்கள் ஒவ்வொருவரிடமும் ஒரு சிறு பையைக் கொடுத்து, வகுப்பறையின் மூலையில் இருந்த தக்காளி கூடையைச் சுட்டிக்காட்டி, ‘நீங்கள் சொன்ன எண்ணிக்கைப்படி, கூடையில் உள்ள தக்காளிகளை எடுத்து, உங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த பையில் போட்டுக் கட்டுங்கள்…’ என்றார். மாணவர்களும், தங்களது பையில் தக்காளிகளைப் போட்டு மூட்டையாகக் கட்டிக் கொண்டனர்.
பின், அவர்களிடம், ‘இந்த மூட்டையை எப்போதும் உங்களுடன் வைத்திருக்க வேண்டும்; துாங்கும் போதும் அருகிலேயே வைத்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும்…’ என்று
உத்தரவிட்டார். புரிந்தும், புரியாமலும் மாணவர்கள் தலையாட்டினர்.
ஓரிரு நாட்கள் சென்றன; ஒரு குறையும் இல்லை. ஆனால், அதற்கு அடுத்து வந்த நாட்களில், தக்காளிகள் அழுகி, நாறத்துவங்கின. நாற்றம் அடிக்கும் மூட்டையுடன், வெளியே செல்ல கூச்சப்பட்ட மாணவர்கள், ஆசிரியையிடம் சென்று, மூட்டைகளைத் துாக்கி எறிய அனுமதி கேட்டனர்.
மெல்லப் புன்னகைத்த ஆசிரியை, ‘இந்த தக்காளியைப் போன்று தான், உங்கள் மனதுக்குள் இருக்கும் பகைமை உணர்வும், பழி வாங்கும் குணமும் அழுகி, நாறி கொண்டிருக்கிறது. எனவே, பகை – பழியை மறந்து, மன்னித்து விடுவதாக இருந்தால், தக்காளியையும் தூக்கி எறியுங்கள்…’ என்றார். மாணவர்களுக்கு தெளிவு பிறந்தது.
அப்போதே, தக்காளி மூட்டைகளை குப்பைத் தொட்டியில் வீசிய மாணவர்கள், தங்களுக்குள் இருந்த பகை, பொறாமையை மறந்து, ஒருவரையொருவர் ஆரத் தழுவிக் கொண்டனர்.
இந்த தக்காளி கதை மாணவர்களுக்கு மட்டுமல்ல, பெரியவர்களான நமக்கும் தான்!

” God Will Never Leave You Empty ” ….

THE BOILING FROG SYNDROME..!!
Human Beings and frogs are the two creatures in nature who have tremendous power to adjust…Put a frog in a vessel of water and start heating the water. As the temperature of the water rises, the frog is able to adjust its body temperature accordingly. The frog keeps on adjusting with increase in temperature. Just when the water is about to reach boiling point, the frog is not able to adjust anymore. At that point the frog decides to jump out. The frog tries to jump but is unable to do so, because it lost all its strength in adjusting with the water temperature. Very soon the frog dies.
What killed the frog?
Many of us would say the boiling water. But the truth is what killed the frog was its own inability to decide when it had to jump out.
We all need to adjust with people and situations, but we need to be sure when we need to adjust and when we need to face. There are times when we need to face the situation and take the appropriate action. If we allow people to exploit us physically, emotionally or financially, they will continue to do so.We have to decide when to jump. Let us jump while we still have the strength…
God has given us a Heart and a Brain.. May Sai give us the courage to use them both wisely at the correct time and for the correct reasons..

” I Say My Prayers When It is Calm ” ….

There is a story of about a sea captain who in his retirement skippered a boat taking day-trippers to Shetland Islands.
On one trip, the boat was full of young people. They laughed at the old captain when they saw him say a prayer before sailing out, because the day was fine and the sea was calm.

However they weren’t long at sea when a storm suddenly blew up and the boat began to roll & pitch violently. The terrified passengers came to the captain and asked him to join them in prayer.

But he replied, “I say my prayers when it is calm. When it is rough I attend to my ship.” 

Here is a lesson for us……
If we cannot seek God in quiet moments of our lives; we are not likely to find him when trouble strikes. We are more likely to panic.

But if we have learnt to seek him and trust him in quiet moments, then most certainly we will find him when the going gets rough !

Do not demean your talents; when you dive deep into yourself, you can discover the source of all strength. Small ants in millions creeping over a rock, can carve a deep groove along their path. Even the minute feet of the ants have that power. You might have seen on the walls around village wells, how hollow pits are produced on granite slabs by placing on them mud water pots continuously. Even though the pots are made of mud, over the years they erase even the hardest granite and make them hollow. The Atma Swarupam (Embodiment of Divine Self) is not Alpa Swarupam(insignificant). It is a powerful dynamo, capable of generating enormous power. The Spiritual teacher (Guru) shows you the goal(Guri), but you must generate the power yourself, by your own spiritual effort (Sadhana).

புண்டலிகன் என்பவன் “நாம் காசிக்கு போய் புண்யம் தேடிக்கொண்டால் என்ன?” “என்று முடிவெடுத்து, “அப்பனே எங்களையும் அழைத்து சென்றால் நாங்களும் காசியில் புண்யம் அடைவோமே” என்ற தாய் தந்தையை வீட்டிலேயே விட்டுவிட்டு காசிக்கு புறப்பட்டவன் வழியில் ஒரு ஊரில் ஒரு முனிவரை சந்திக்கிறான். அவரது ஆஸ்ரமத்திலேயே தங்கவைக்கிறார் அவனை.
“சுவாமி நீங்கள் யாரோ?”
“குக்குடன் என்று அழைக்கிறார்கள்”
“ஓ! குக்குட முனிவர் நீங்கள் தானோ?. காசிக்கு எத்தனை முறை சென்றிருக்கிறீர்கள்?”
“காசி எங்கிருக்கிறது?”
“ச்சே! காசியே தெரியாத ஒரு முனிவரா!. இவரிடம் போய் நேரத்தை வேஸ்ட் பண்ணி விட்டோமே” என்று வருந்தினான். அன்றிரவு தூக்கம் வரவில்லை. எதோ சத்தம் கேட்டு வெளியில் வந்து பார்த்தவன் எதிரில் நிறைய தேவலோக மங்கையர் குடம் குடமாக அந்த ஆஸ்ரமத்திற்கு ஜலம் விட்டு அலம்பி அந்த ஜலத்தில் தாங்களும் ஸ்நானம் செய்கிறார்களே! முதலில் அழுக்காகவும் கருத்தும் இருந்த ஆடைகள் கூட ஸ்நானம் செய்த உடன் கண்ணை பறிக்க திவ்ய தேஜஸ் அவர்களுக்கு கிடைத்தது. அவர்கள் போய் விட்டார்கள்.
மறுநாள் காலை இது பற்றி ஒன்றும் கேட்கவில்லை. அன்று இரவும் அழுக்காக வந்த பெண்கள் ஆஸ்ரமத்தை அலம்பி ஸ்நானம் செய்து பள பளவென்று திரும்பும்போது புண்டலிகன் கேட்டான் “நீங்கள் யார்?.” ஐயா, நாங்கள் கங்கை யமுனை சரஸ்வதி போன்ற பல புண்ய நதிகள். தினமும் பல பாபிகள் எங்களில் ஸ்நானம் செய்து அவர்கள் பாபங்கள் எங்களிடம் சேர்வதால் தினமும் இரவில் குக்குட மகரிஷி ஆஸ்ரமம் வந்து எங்களை மீண்டும் பரிசுத்தம் செய்துகொண்டு திரும்புவது வழக்கம்.”

“ஆம். தமது தாய் தந்தையரை போற்றி வணங்கி கடைசி வரை பணிவிடைசெய்து அவர்களுடைய பூரண ஆசி பெற்ற புண்யாத்மா. இவருக்கு நிகர் எங்களுக்கு தெரிந்து வேறு யாருமில்லை” புண்டலிகன் ஓடினான். காசிக்கு அல்ல, வீட்டுக்கு. தாய் தந்தை காலில் விழுந்தான் கதறினான். தன் தவறுக்கு ப்ராயசித்தமாய் அன்று முதல் அவர்களை கண்போல் பேணி காத்தான். காசிக்கு கூட்டி போனான். தன் ஊரான பண்டரிபுரத்தில் அவர்களை தெய்வமாய் பணிவிடை செய்து இவனை போல் சத் புத்திரன் இந்த வையத்தில் இல்லை என பெயர் பெற்றான். அப்போது தான் அதிசயம் நிகழ்ந்தது. “விட்டலா, உன்னை காண வேண்டுமே” என்று ஒருமுறை வேண்டினான். வயோதிக பெற்றோரை விட்டு ஒரு கணமும் பிரிய முடியாத நிலையில் எங்கே எப்போது போவது விட்டலன் கோவிலுக்கு? மனதில் ஆசையை அணை போட்டு விட்டான் புண்டலிகன். விட்டலனுக்கு தெரியாதா நிலைமை? வந்து விட்டான் புண்டலிகன் வீட்டுக்கு. வாசலில் வந்து நின்று மெல்ல கதவை தட்டின பாண்டுரங்கனை புண்டலிகன் பார்த்து விட்டான். அவனால் எழுந்து செல்ல முடியாமல் அவன் மடியில் அவன் தாய் தந்தை தலை வைத்து உறங்கிகொண்டிருந்தனர். ஒரு கையால் அவர்களுக்கு விசிறிக் கொண்டிருந்தான். பாண்டுரங்கன் வாசலில் காத்துகொண்டு நிற்பதை உணர்ந்த புண்டரிகன் சுற்று முற்றும் பார்த்தான் அவன் கண்ணெதிரே கையருகில் ஒரு செங்கல் தான் தென்பட்டது. அதை ஒரு கையால் எடுத்து வாசலில் போட்டு “இதில் இரு. இவர்கள் எழுந்ததும் வருகிறேன்” என்றான். பாண்டுரங்கனும் வெகு நேரம் அந்த செங்கலில் கால் வலிக்க கை இடுப்பில் வைத்து நின்று கொண்டிருந்தான். சிறிது நேரம் கழித்து புண்டலிகன் வெளியே வர முடிந்தது. பாண்டுரங்கனை வணங்கினான் “உனக்கு என்ன வரமப்பா வேண்டும்?”
” எனக்கு என் பெற்றோரின் ஆசியே யதேஷ்டமாக இருக்கிறதே. நீ இதே இடத்தில் நின்று உலகில் மற்றவர்களுக்கும் அருள வேண்டுகிறேன்” அந்த இடத்தில் தான் இன்றும் கோயில் கொண்டு, அதே செங்கல் மேல் நின்று இடுப்பில் கையுடன் பாண்டுரங்கன் விடோபாவாக (செங்கல் மேல் நிற்பவன்) நமக்கெல்லாம் காட்சியளித்து காக்கின்றான்.

ஓரு ஊரில் ஒரு சிற்பி இருந்தான். கோயில் கர்ப்பக்கிரகத்தில் வைப்பதற்கான சிலையை அவன் செதுக்க வேண்டியிருந்தது. கடைசியில் தன் தேவைக்கு ஒத்துவருகிற ஒரு கல்லைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தான். அந்தக் கல்லைச் சமமாக இரண்டாக்கினான். ஒன்றைச் செதுக்கி அம்மன் சிலையாக்கினான். மற்றொன்று அந்த அம்மன் சிலைக்கு எதிரே படிக்கல்லாகப் போடப்பட்டது. அந்தக் கோயிலுக்குக் கும்பாபிஷேகமும் நடைபெற்றது.

கோயிலுக்கு பக்தகோடிகளின் கூட்டம் அலைமோதியது. வரும் பக்தர்கள் அனைவரும் அம்மன் சிலைக்கு முன்னேயிருக்கும் படியில் கால் வைத்து அம்மனைப் பரவசத்துடன் வழிபட்டுச் சென்றனர். பக்தர்களின் காலடி பட்டுப்பட்டு உடம்பு ரணமான அந்தப் படிக்கல், ஒரு நாள் தாங்க முடியாமல் அம்மன் சிலையிடம் கேட்டது, “நீயும் நானும் ஒரே கல்லிலிருந்துதானே பிறந்தோம். நானோ மிதிபட்டுக்கொண்டிருக்கிறேன்: நீயோ கடவுளாகிவிட்டாய். இது எப்படி?”

அதற்கு அம்மன் சிலை பதில் சொன்னது, “இருவரும் ஒரே கல்லில் இருந்துதான் பிறந்தோம். ஆனால், சிற்பியின் உளியால் நான் செதுக்கப்பட்டு பக்குவப்பட்டபோது அடைந்த ரணம் சாதாரணமானதல்ல. படாத பாடுபட்டேன். அதனால் இந்த நிலையை அடைந்தேன். நான் செதுக்கப்பட்டபோது என்னைப் பார்த்து நகைத்துக்கொண்டு மணல் மீது நீ படுத்துக்கொண்டிருந்தாய். இன்றைக்கு வெறும் கல்லாய்க் கிடக்கிறாய். வாழ்வில் கஷ்டப்படுகிறவன்தான் மேலே வருவான்” என்றது.

Message For The Day…Do Not Postpone Learning Lessons of Silence and Prayer…

Once a miser lived in a leaky house. Rain water poured through the roof, into his house and he sat through it all night. Neighbours, seeing his plight, suggested he get the roof repaired. The miser remarked, “Let the rains subside, how can I repair it now?” And when the rains stopped, he replied, “Why should I worry about the leaks, now that the rains have stopped?” Do not take this approach. Instead of choosing to suffer when the rains come, as they are sure to do, wouldn’t it be wise to repair the roof right now? This example conveys the importance you must give to acquainting yourself with spiritual primers and textbooks without postponing this by even a moment. Begin right now, the first lessons of silence, prayer and repeating the Name of the Lord. It is never too soon to start the spiritual journey.
