Message For The Day…”Struggle …and You Get The Strength to Succeed”…

Everyone is now seeking comfort and pleasure; it is considered the be-all and end-all. If you tell someone that he or she can eat whatever they like and as much as they like, they will be delighted. If you add that they may develop, as a natural consequence, illnesses and describe the suffering associated with it, you will immediately become their enemy! No regimen or control is ever popular. However, know that strength is derived only from control, only from restraint and regulation. One becomes tough and capable of endurance only if hardships are welcomed. Struggle, and you get the strength to succeed. Seek the basis for the seen in the unseen. The tall skyscraper has a deep base buried deep into the earth.

 4th Day of DIWALI
“NEW YEAR ”
The Fourth day is called Padwa or VarshaPratipada that marks the coronation of King Vikramaditya and Vikaram-Samvat was started from this Padwa day.
The day after the Lakshmi Puja, most families celebrate the new year by dressing in new clothes, wearing jewellery and visiting family members and business colleagues to give them sweets, dry fruits and gifts.
On this day, Goverdhan Pooja is performed. As per Vishnu-Puran, the people of Gokul used to celebrate a festival in honour of Lord Indra and worshipped him after the end of every monsoon season. But one particular year the young Krishna stopped them from offering prayers to Lord Indra who in terrific anger sent a deluge to submerge Gokul. But Krishna saved his Gokul by lifting up the Govardhan Mountain and holding it over the people as an umbrella.
This day is also observed as Annakoot and prayers are offered in the temples. In temples especially in Mathura and Nathadwara, the deities are given milkbath, dressed in shining attires with ornaments of dazzling diamonds, pearls, rubies and other precious stones.

A Kangaroo @ Melbourne Airport…And Now An Alligator@ Chicago Airport !!!

A small alligator found under an escalator at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport has left authorities puzzled.

A maintenance worker discovered the alligator, which is about a foot (30 centimeters) long, on Friday in Terminal 3, Chicago Police spokesman Jose Estrada said Sunday.

An officer captured the reptile by putting a trash can over it.

“We don’t know where it came from or how long it’d been residing in the airport facilities,” Estrada said. “It’s one of those random incidents.”

The gator is now being cared for by the Chicago Herpetological Society.

“It was in pretty bad shape,” said Jason Hood, the group’s president. “We’re trying to get it healthy and find a place for it.”

He said the gator would likely head to an out-of-state alligator farm once authorities give the organization the all-clear to release the animal.

No one was injured.

The self-taught 47-year-old said the confrontation was his ‘one moment of real fear’ during his travels to collect the stunning pictures for his new book.

The encounter happened in the Katmai National Park, Alaska, which is home to thousands of brown bears.
Covering its mouth: Encounter by David Yarrow is published by Clearview, in affiliation with the conservation charity Tusk, on November 12

stunning image of a zebra…

Mr Yarrow said: ‘As I turned a corner after a walk through the woods, I was met with the sight of an approaching bear 80 yards away.

‘It says little for my general sense of self-preservation that, after the initial shock, I instinctively raised my camera and took one picture – the lack of crispness hints at my fast heartbeat and sense of haste.

‘I then did as the safety drill instructed and stood to one side talking loudly to the bear.

‘”Good afternoon Mr Bear”, were my exact words – repeated regularly and louder and louder…

‘In retrospect, it was all rather comical, but the nearest human was at least a mile away.

‘Luckily the bear did exactly what we had been assured they tend to do in Katmai and wandered off showing no interest in me whatsoever.

‘But it is not the most relaxing way to spend a Sunday afternoon, and not too long after this incident, a photographer elsewhere in Alaska was killed by a bear.’

Message For The Day…A Person is Judged From Integrity Angle …

A person or an institution is to be judged according to their integrity, whether their acts are according to the principles professed. The mind, the body, and the word – all three must work in unison. When work (Karma) is thus disciplined and regulated, automatically your senses will become sublimated and you will attain everlasting Prasanthi (inner peace). From this will arise Prakanti (the great light), and from that will emerge Param Jyoti (Supreme Illumination). That Illumination will reveal the Paramatma (Divinity) present within you! You must achieve that success by following the path laid out for you – conquer anger and desire, achieve love through the practice of incessant meditation (Japa-Dhyana), which will lead to the blossoming of the lotus of the heart and the emergence of Divinity from within you!

Message For The Day…God is the Moving Force in Everyone…

The unmistakable sign of rain is the wetness of the ground. So too, the sign of an educated person, who has had several years of schooling is good manners. Such a person will be humble knowing that the field of knowledge is so vast that even after years of learning one has hardly touched its fringe. They must also be aware of their kinship with all beings and must show a keenness to serve others gladly, at all times, without any desire for publicity. The educated children must move with everyone in a friendly manner, without inhibitions, knowing that God is the moving force in everyone. God is behind all good impulses and useful attitudes. All of you are separate beads, strung together on one common thread, which is God.
