The Baby Keeps Playing Even While He is Asleep !!!!….Thanks to the Creative Imagination of His Parents !!!!

Chalk drawings show couple’s newborn son in different fantasy lands….

Burying treasure on a desert island, diving from a boat in the sea, etc….

These imaginative chalk drawings show a couple’s baby boy ‘transported’ into different fantasy lands by his photographer parents.

Anna Eftimie, from California, began taking pictures of her son Serban when he was just five days old.

This adorable sleeping baby has been transported into different fantasy lands by his imaginative parents

Then her husband suggested using pictures drawn on a chalkboard to make the images more ‘special’.

The couple’s first creation showed Serban wrapped in a blanket and being delivered by a stork – a reference to the myth.

They then started to create new images they have now dubbed ‘Blackboard Adventures’.

The scenes include Serban at a disco, on a treasure island, and  on a hammock,
Pirate: this picture depicts baby Serban dressed as a pirate burying treasure on a desert island

Gnarly: Serban is shown on a skateboard leaping over some cute animals while dressed in a hoody

Adventurer: Wrapped in a blanket and tied to balloons, Serban is blown across the skies by the clouds

Snooze: As the birds are in song on the treetops above, baby Serban is shown asleep on a hammock

Mrs Eftimie, 33, who runs Cute Moments Photography, said she had since been asked to create similar images for other parents.

One father asked them to create an image of his daughter as the American President while another family wanted an image of their child on an African safari adventure.

Mrs Eftimie said: ‘Being a perfectionist I pay attention to very little details which is important to the final look of every image.

‘If you combine that with my husband’s creativity and passion for creating cool looking set-ups, you will get the photos that I really love working with – fresh and unique.

‘It’s a certain type of client who request these images – often with a lot of imagination and sense of humour in order to create a world around their child.

‘Most people are still looking for the classic baby photos which is great but these are definitely something unusual and good fun.

‘What I enjoy most is the parents’ reactions when they first see the finished product. One family wrote to me telling me how they were still smiling from ear to ear.’

These Animals Teach us the Value of “Unity in Diversity” !!!!!!

It’s not unheard of for animals to become quite chummy with members of another species  — even with those they would normally consider eating.

Abandonment, trauma, or living together on farms or zoos, all serve as factors in bringing animals together in unexpected ways.

Here’s what happens when opposites attract.

An Unexpected VIP Guest On Board !!!…..

One lucky sailor had an incredible experience when a baby sea lion boarded his boat in California then spent over half an hour affectionately snuggling into his leg.

The man, called J.R. Gilkinson, uploaded a video of the astonishing event to YouTube where it has had 290,000 views.

Gilkinson described the footage as ‘My Life Changing Experience with a Baby Sea Lion’ and ‘A day at sea that I will never forget!!!’

The sailor said that the welcome visitor hopped on their boat approximately two miles off the coast of Newport Beach, California, on May 18.

The pup first swims round the boat and then climbs aboard. Eventually the creature moves closer to the Gilkinson and then nuzzles and rubs its head against the man’s leg.

Throughout the video he can be heard urging his 11-year-old niece not to touch the wild animal. But after several minutes of unusual affection from the animal, he can resist the temptation no longer.

The sea lion then apparently stayed with Gilkinson for some time. The man told The Huffington Post: ‘It was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had.

‘I appreciated every second because I didn’t know how long it was going to last.’ He continued that the encounter was ‘completely on the sea lion’s terms.’

‘He wanted to come rest on me,’ Gilkinson said. ‘So we let him.’

Wildlife experts are concerned about the health of sea lion pups in California this year.

Sarah Wilkin, the marine mammal stranding coordinator for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, told Global Post that five times the usual number of the baby animals are coming into the Southern Californian coastline weak and near death.

‘Nobody was quite prepared for the scope of this,’ said Wilkin. ‘The major common factor for all these stranded pups is that they’re coming in emaciated, dehydrated, basically starving.

‘They have been unable to find enough food to sustain themselves.’
Affection: JR Gilkinson said it was a life-changing experience

Message For The Day….Namasmarana is the Best Antidote for Anger and Sorrow….

All of you are already spiritual aspirants (Sadhakas) or bound to be one soon! It is said, Moksha lies in the sukshma – Liberation can be achieved by subtle means. Few important steps for you: Treat others in the same way, you would like them to treat you. Never brood over the past; when grief overpowers you, do not recollect similar incidents from your past to add to your grief. Recollect, rather, incidents when you were happy! Draw consolation and strength from them. Raise yourself above the surging waters of sorrow. Women are called ‘weak’ because they yield to anger and sorrow much more easily than men; so I would ask them to take extra pains to overcome these two. Namasmarana (chanting the Lord’s name) is the best antidote for this and if you take it up, the Lord will come to your rescue and instill the faith that everything is God’s Will and teach that you have no right to exult or despair.

Mesmerizing Self Portraits Made by 14 years Boy !!!!

A 14-year-old photographer has taken the internet by storm with his creative and dreamlike images that make normal-sized people appear tiny.

Zev Hoover, from Natick, Massachusetts, goes by the Flickr username Fiddle Oak, a play on ‘little folk’, which adequately describes the incredible images that make up his ‘miniature world’.

In his fantastical photos in which people are digitally shrunken, acorns make excellent seats, Popsicle sticks are the ideal size for building rafts, and paper airplanes are viable modes of transport.

Zev Hoover

Zev Hoover

Zev told Today.com that while he takes the photos with his own camera, his older sister Nell, 18, was the brains behind the original tiny people concept.

‘She is sort of my partner in crime,’ he said, adding that she is ‘more of a writer’.

While Nell may have come up with the idea, Zev executes the images beautifully, and his unique work has attracted the attention of professional photographers and designers.

The 14-year-old, who also writes a blog, explained the complicated process of how he creates his dreamlike images, many of which feature him as the main subject.
Zev Hoover

Complex: The process involves capturing the background, shrinking photos of people in similar lighting, manipulating the images in Photoshop and editing the color scheme so that it all matches

The process involves capturing the background image first, shrinking photos of people in similar lighting, manipulating the images in Photoshop and editing the color scheme so that it all matches.

‘It takes a long time,’ he said of the resulting images, which are so otherworldly that they almost look like drawings.

One image shows a boy constructing a house of playing cards, his body the same size as the cards.

In another image, a ‘miniature’ boy and girl sit upon a raft made of Popsicle sticks, the sail of which is a single leaf.

Stimulating: Zev gets a lot of support from the Flickr community, where he shares his work. ‘It’s two-way, and it inspires and invigorates me a lot,’ he said of the website. ‘There is so much good energy’

Many of Zev’s images explore nature, including one in which a boy perches inside the shell of an acorn.

Another nature-themed photo, which plays with and distorts size ratio, shows a miniscule-looking boy sitting on the edge of a rock, a violin in his hand.

Photography and design websites have picked up on Zev’s work, lauding him for being so talented and creative at such a young age.

‘Zev has proven to be one photographer to keep an eye on,’ wrote one MyModernMet.com writer.

Natural environment: A number of the teen’s images explore humans’ relationship with nature

The blogger goes on to praise Zev’s style, which ‘takes the viewer along on a magical journey of rediscovering the world around us.’

The youngest of four, Zev – who is home-schooled by his sculptural artist mother – grew up in a household that fostered creative pursuits.

He began taking his first photos at the age of eight with a cell phone camera, before acquiring two professional instruments – a regular camera and a video camera – which he lovingly named ‘Betsy’ and ‘Diana’.

Not only is he a talented photographer, but Zev also seems to be wise beyond his years in other fields as well.

In his spare time, he browses technology blogs, builds and flies model airplanes, and dreams about going to college to study art or graphic design.

But despite all his ambition and success thus far, Zev is markedly down-to-earth.

When asked about all the attention he has been getting recently, he told Today.com: ‘It’s just so lucky and random

Photoshoot From The Top Of The World !!!!

Photographer scales Dubai’s Burj Khalifa to capture the vertigo-

inducing view from the very tip of the world’s tallest structure

  • The Burj Khalifa stands 2,722ft over the city of Dubai
  • It has been the world’s tallest building since 2010

Joe McNally ascended more than half a mile to the very tip of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the world’s tallest manmade structure, to capture the breathtaking view from the top.

And not content with shooting a set of photos that will have the world gripping its swivel chairs, he has also published a vertigo-inducing behind-the-scenes video on YouTube showing how he did i

Mr McNally, a photographer with 26 years’ experience shooting for National Geographic, had been visiting Dubai to teach at a special photography event in the city state.

He was given access to the 2,722ft Burj Khalifa after three years in correspondence with the building’s administrator.

The route to the top starts at 5am in a service lift that runs right up the spine of the building to level 160, the very last concrete floor in the towering structure.

After that, accompanied by two of the building’s maintenance workers, Mr McNally climbed a series of zig-zagging metal staircases up several more floors until they reached a final ladder.

‘Just physically climbing you’re talking about going straight up for a couple of hundred metres,’ the photographer said.

‘You’re safety harnessed to the ladder. It’s kind of a ratchet system where you can actually lean back and rest when you need to.

‘And that just is a straight ladder right up to the very top. It’s a lengthy climb and it’s physically daunting task..

At the top of the building the workers helped Mr McNally ease himself out onto the side of the Burj Khalifa’s spire, where he hung from safety ropes above a drop of more than half a mile.

There he also photographed the two men who helped him reach the record-breaking point.

‘You don’t want to go to the top of this tower and just take a snap looking down,’ he said. ‘You want to have a reference point, you want sense of humanity in the midst of this giant structure.’

Incredible Images Of a Little Girl Who Spent First 10 years of her Life in African Bushes !!!!

Tippi Benjamine Okanti Degri was brought up with wild animals in Africa, is now 23 and lives in France

By JILL REILLY  in mailonline

Union: The photos show an unusual bond and tranquility between man and beast

Heart-warming pictures of the real life Mowgli, a girl who spent the first ten years of her life growing up in the African bush, have been released for the first time.

The magical images chronicle the life of Tippi Benjamine Okanti Degri, who was brought up with wild animals, just like Rudyard Kipling’s hero did in The Jungle Book.

The images – in the relaunched book – ‘Tippi: My Book of Africa’ – show the young girl making friends with an elephant, who she calls her brother, and a leopard, her best friend.
Bond:

Follow me: Tippi riding on Abu's neck as he leads his herd in Okavango Swamps, Botswana

Living with her French parents, wildlife photographers Sylvie Robert and Alain Degri, the three of them travelled extensively through Africa on a unique and incredible trip.

The adventure started where Tippi was born in Namibia, and ended in her travelling through countries like Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa.

‘Her everyday life was making sure monkeys did not steal her bottle,’ said Sylvie.

‘Or she would call me over and point to an elephant eating from a palm tree and say ‘mummy, be quiet, we’re going to frighten him.’

‘She had so much freedom.

Brother: The images show the young girl making friends with an elephant, who she calls her brother, and a leopard, her best friend

‘She did not realise she was not the same size as Abu the elephant. She would just speak to him like she would speak to me. They used to call her ‘the little girl who would talk with animals.’

Tippi was able to form strong bonds with some of the most dangerous beasts in the animal kingdom because they were used to humans.

Most of the animals had been orphaned and raised by farmers.

However, despite the apparent ease and comfort with which they interact, Sylvie always put Tippi’s safety first.

‘You can’t just meet any of these animals and act like this with them,’ explains Sylvie.

‘Wild animals will either run away or attack you if they are either frightened, injured or need to protect their young.
At one with nature: Tippi aged 6 with her arms stretched out on Sea Bird Island, Africa

Hop on: Linda, a tamed ostrich in South Africa takes Tippi for a ride

Relaxing: Cindy the baboon in Namibia is happily stroked by the child

‘It was like having the biggest playground. We lived in a tent, completely in the wild, but she always woke up with the sun shining and her parents around her. She was very lucky.’

And the incredible photos – from sitting on the back of an ostrich, lying peacefully with a young caracal, or dancing playfully with an elephant – show an unusual bond and tranquility between man and beast.

‘She was so at ease with animals. She would talk to them with her eyes and her heart,’ said Sylvie.

Using her innocence and imagination, the young ‘Mowgli’ befriended one of the giants of the animal kingdom, Abu the African elephant.

So always had to keep a special eye on her daughter.

‘But she was only ever bitten once on the nose by a Meerkat, only two bites!

‘This is funny because Tippi’s middle name is Okanti, meaning mongoose or meerkat. They were part of her family in Africa, so I wanted her to have something to take home with her.’

‘The second incident was when she met with Cindy the baboon at a water point. Cindy attacked Tippi’s hair and pulled out a handful, out of jealousy.

‘That was terribly painful! Wild animals are unpredictable. We can’t be sure of their reaction as we are not of the same species, we don’t know all of
their behaviour codes.

‘When we last went back to Africa in 2006 we went went to see some of the animals she met in the past, including Cindy the baboon.

‘We found out that Cindy is a grandma now : my friend who has raised her like the baby of the family had twins. Cindy decided that she was in charge of them and, being older, became like a grandma for the kids.

‘They met each other and Cindy went to Tippi and started playing with her hair, grooming her. It was quite beautiful.

And it wasn’t only the animals who were taken with the young Tippi, as Sylvie explains.

‘When we came to a village with African children, within two minutes Tippi was the clown and people found her so cute,’ she says.

‘Africans love other children – especially white children and she was so much fun with her hair and so different.

‘When we filmed the San Bushmen of northern Namibia (one of the most ancient people of Africa who live from hunting and gathering in the Kalahari desert) we would let Tippi spend the day with the group without us until she would fall asleep among. the kids.

‘She was at ease with the children and would dress and play with them – she could never find the same when she came back to Europe.’

When Tippi returned to her parents’ native country – France – at the age of ten, it was hard adjusting to city life in Paris.

‘She missed the animals so much,’ said her mother Sylvie.

‘We didn’t have room for a dog in our flat, so we got a budgie instead.

‘It would go everywhere with her, even on the train, flying right by her side, sitting on her head or falling asleep on her shoulder.

‘She loved that little bird so much. He was the only friend she had.’

Now aged 23 and studying her third year in a degree in cinema, Tippi is facing a different jungle … the concrete one.

But the memories of her time in Africa – recorded in a series of interviews and written up into the book – will forever live on through its pages.

‘She gave her heart and thoughts away in her book,’ said Sylvie.

‘It is like Mowgli’s story, but for Tippi it’s true.’

“No” From IIT -JEE … But Big “YES” from Stanford University !!!

Visually impaired Delhi student Kartik Sawhney has repeatedly been denied permission to appear for the IIT-JEE in the past three years because of his disability. However, in March 2013, he was awarded a fully funded scholarship to pursue engineering at Stanford University in the US. This is his story.

On May 27, 2013, when 18-year-old Kartik Sawhney scored 96 per cent in his Class 12 CBSE examination, he became the country’s first ever visually impaired student to have achieved the feat in the science stream.

Appearing from Delhi Public School, RK Puram, he scored 99 in computer science (his favourite subject) and 95 each in English, mathematics, physics and chemistry; his total is 479 out of 500.

Recalling some of the challenges, he says, “Studying with normal students wasn’t easy, and neither was choosing a stream of my choice.”

Determination and perseverance are the key factors to his success — he simply would not take no for an answer.

“A lot of people think that disabilities limits you from doing certain things. But I think success comes to those who believe in their strengths,” he states.

Sawhney, who comes from a middle class family — his father Ravinder Sawhney is a businessman and mother Indu Sawhney a homemaker — confesses that aiming high and making tough decisions at every stage was still easier than executing them.

For three years in a row, he has been denied permission to appear for the IIT-JEE; he was told that there is no provision for blind students to take the competitive exam. But he did not lose hope and applied to universities abroad.

And in March 2013, Sawhney received a fully funded scholarship to pursue a five-year engineering programme at Stanford University. Once armed with this degree, he intends to “improve the condition of visually impaired back in India”.
