The three qualities (gunas) of the mind have to be transcended sequentially. Lethargy (Thamas) should be transformed into passionate activity (Rajas) and Rajas into serenity and poise (Sathwa) and finally into atributelessness. The Gunas bind the person and leave impressions. Thamas is like the worms that creep and crawl in offal. Rajas is like the fly that sits on foul and also good things. Sathwa is like the bee that visits only fragrant flowers. But all the three are drawn towards objects nonetheless. One should be free from all traces of attachment. When your heart is infested with flies and worms, the pesticide of Namasmarana (constant remembrance of the Name of the Lord) has to be used for disinfecting.

” Does God Exist ” ?!!!!

A young man who went overseas to study for quite a long time.

When he returned, he asked his parents to find him a religious scholar
or any expert who could answer his 3 Questions.

Finally, his parents were able to find a scholar.

Young man: Who are you? Can you answer my questions?

Scholar: I am one of God willing, I will be able to answer your questions.

Young man: Are you sure? A lot of Professors and experts were not able
to answer my questions.
Scholar: I will try my best, with the help of God .

Young Man: I have 3 questions:
1. Does God exist? If so, show me His shape.
2. What is fate?
3. If Devil was created from the fire, why at the end he will be
thrown to hell that is also created from fire. It certainly will not
hurt him at all, since Devil and the hell were created from fire. Did
God not think of it this far?

Suddenly, the Scholar slapped the young man’s face very hard. Young
Man(feeling pain): Why do you get angry at me?

Scholar: I am not angry. The slap is my answer to your three questions.
Young Man: I really don’t understand.

Scholar: How do you feel after I slapped you?
Young Man: Of course, I felt the pain.

Scholar: So do you believe that pain exists?
Young Man: Yes.

Scholar: Show me the shape of the pain!
Young Man: I cannot.

Scholar: That is my first answer. All of us feel God’s existence
without being able to see His shape… Last night, did you dream that
you will be slapped by me?
Young Man: No.

Scholar: Did you ever think that you will get a slap from me, today?

Young Man: No.

Scholar: That is fate my second answer…My hand that I used to slap
you, what is it created from?
Young Man: It is created from flesh.

Scholar: How about your face, what is it created from?
Young Man: Flesh.

Scholar: How do you feel after I slapped you?
Young Man: In pain.

Scholar: That’s it… this is my third answer, Even though Devil and also the hell were created from the fire, if God wants, if God willing , the hell will become a very painful place for devil.

Message For The Day…Athma Vichara is the Practice Of Truth !!!

The first step in Self-Enquiry (Athma Vichara) is the practice of the truth that whatever gives you pain, gives pain to others and whatever gives you joy, gives joy to others. So do unto others as you would like them do unto you; desist from any act in relation to others, which, if done by them will cause you pain. Thus, a kind of reciprocal relationship will grow between you and others and gradually you reach the stage when your heart thrills with joy when others are joyful and shudders in pain when others are sad. This is not the kind of affection towards those who are dear to you or those who are your kith and kin. This sharing of joy and grief is automatic, immediate, and universal. It is a sign of great spiritual advance, the wave knows that it is part of the ocean; all the waves are but temporary manifestations of the sea and with the same taste of the ocean itself.

The world today is suffering more from Rajobuddhi (passionate intellect) than Thamas (inertia). People have violent likes and dislikes. They are carried away by noise, show and propaganda. That is why discrimination has become essential. To reach the goal, Sathwabuddhi (pious intellect) is essential. This intellect will lead you to seek the truth calmly and stick to it, unmindful of the consequences. You might have heard people talk about the miracles; of My ‘materialisations’, of My fulfilling all your wants, of My curing illnesses. But they are not so important as the Saathwaguna (poised state) I appreciate, promote and instil. In fact, I confer on you the boons of health and prosperity, only so that you might, with greater enthusiasm and less interruption proceed on the path of spiritual practice.

Indian:::: Oh ..No…We call them “BEE BEE”…..They sting twice as hard as Honey bee !!!!

Teacher was fast asleep in a class and Little Johnny walks up to him .

Johnny: Sir…are you sleeping in the class ?

Teacher: No..Johnny…I am not sleeping .

Johnny::What were you doing , Sir ?

Teacher::: I was talking to GOD .

Next day, Little Johnny fell asleep in the class and the same teacher walks upto him.

Teacher::: Johnny… you are sleeping in my class ?

Johnny::::No ..not at all sir…. i am not sleeping.

Teacher::: Then what were you doing ?

Johnny::: I was talking to GOD Sir….

Teacher::: What did GOD say ?

Johnny:::: GOD said HE NEVER SPOKE TO YOU YESTERDAY !!!!!!!

ஒரு நாள், தரிசனத்துக்கு வந்தவர்களிடமெல்லாம் ‘தாயாரை விற்கலாமா? வயதாகிவிட்டால், தாயாரை விற்கலாமா?‘ என்று கேட்டுக்கொண்டே இருந்தார்கள் பெரியவாள்.
தொண்டர்களுக்கு புரியவேயில்லை.
தாயாரை-வயதான தாயாரை-ஏன் விற்கணும்? விற்றாலும் யார் வாங்குவார்கள்? தாயாரை விற்றதாக கேள்விப்பட்டதில்லையே?’தாயாரை விற்க கூடாது‘ என்று எல்லோரும் ஒருமுகமாக கூறினார்கள்.’அப்படி ஓர் அநியாயம் நம்ம தேசத்திலே நடந்துண்டு இருக்கு.எந்த மாநிலத்தில்? ஹிமாச்சல் பிரதேசத்திலா? அருணாச்சல் பிரதேசத்திலா? நம்ம தமிழ் நாட்டில் தான்…தினமும் நூற்றுக்கணக்கில் விற்பனை ஆகிறது. வாங்குகிறவன் எங்கோ கொண்டு போய் விடுகிறான்…’
பெரியவாள் இவ்வளவு வருத்தப்பட்டு பேசியதை, ஆண்டாண்டு காலமாக உடனிருந்து பணி செய்யும் சீடர்கள் கேட்டதில்லை.
‘கோமாதா, கோமாதான்னு பூஜை செய்யறோம். குளிப்பாட்டறோம். குங்குமம் வெக்கறோம். பால் கறந்து காப்பி சாப்பிடறோம் (ஈஸ்வரன் கோவிலுக்கு கொடுக்கறதில்லே), ஆனா, வயசாகி போய் பால் மரத்து போச்சுன்னா, வீட்டில் வெச்சுக்கறதில்லே. கசாப்பு கடைக்காரன் கிட்டே வித்துடறோம்…அநியாயம்…சகல தேவதா ஸ்வரூபமான பசுவை இப்படி கொன்றால், பகவான் எப்படி நம்மை ரட்சிப்பார்? வசதிப்பட்டவர்கள் கோசாலை வைத்து வயதான பசுக்களை சம்ரக்ஷிக்கணும்.’
பசுவிடமிருந்து கிடைக்கும் ஐந்து பொருள்கள் – பஞ்சகவ்யம் ஈஸ்வர பூஜைக்கு தேவையானவை.
பசுக்களிடம் எல்லை இல்லாத பாசம் பெரியவாளுக்கு… அவற்றை கண்டால், கோகுலத்து கண்ணனாகவே மாறி விடுவார்கள்.

Message For The Day….Rituals Must Result In Righteousness…

Kama (desire) is a three-headed demon; when you win your desire, you develop lobha (greed) to retain the gain and see that it multiplies; when you are defeated in desire, you develop krodha (resentment or anger). Kama, lobha and krodha are all forms of rajoguna (quality of passion and activity), the feverish activity that ignores the ‘means’ while concentrating on the ‘end’. Rajoguna pursues the goal, but is not particular about the correctness of the path. Lanka was a land that reverberated with the recitation of the Vedas; its air was thick with sacrificial smoke. Yet the demons living there were wicked. Rituals must result in righteousness; otherwise, it is only rigmarole. Ravana sought to gain Prakrithi, not Purusha (the manifestation not the Manifestor), and so his life became futile.
