God is everywhere, and is everything; so, it appears as if He is nowhere, and He is not in anything! For, to know Him you try to identify Him as someone foreign and unique. He is Love, Power, Truth, Wisdom and Beauty. When you accept Love, you accept God. The tender plant of spirituality can grow only in the field of Love. It cannot thrive in the dehydrated loveless land of human hearts. Remove all traces of salinity from your hearts adding to the soil the precious complement of the Name of the Lord. Water it with Faith. Then plant the seedlings of Divinity; have discipline as the fence, and steadfastness as the pesticide to be sprayed. Then, you can reap the rich harvest of Jnana (wisdom), which will free you from the task of cultivation forever.

There is no promotion without examination. –

தமிழ் புத்தாண்டு பிறக்கும் வேளை!!!!!!

ஏப்.14ல் “விஜய’ தமிழ் புத்தாண்டு கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. ஆனாலும், ஏப்.13 சனிக்கிழமை வளர்பிறை சதுர்த்தி, கார்த்திகை நட்சத்திரம் அமிர்தயோக வேளையில் இரவு 11.52 தனுசு லக்னத்திலேயே பிறந்து விடுகிறது. புத்தாண்டு பிறக்கும் நேரத்தின் அடிப்படையில், ஆண்டு முழுதும் நல்லமழை பொழியும் என்றும், விவசாயிகள் நல்ல மகசூல் காண்பர் என்றும் பஞ்சாங்கங்களில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. தமிழ் ஆண்டு அறுபதில் விஜய 27வது ஆண்டாகும். சுபகிரகமான குரு, இந்த ஆண்டின் ராஜாவாக இருக்கிறார். குருவும், சந்திரனும் பலமாக இருப்பதால் இவ்வாண்டில் ராஜயோகம் பெறுபவர்கள் எண்ணிக்கை உயரும்.

தமிழ் புத்தாண்டு துவக்கத்தில் அதிக உஷ்ணம் ஏன்?

“”உலகின் இருளைப் போக்கி ஆத்மபலத்தை அளிக்கும் ஒளி மயமான சக்தி எதுவோ அதனை வணங்குவோம்” என்று சூரியனை ரிக்வேதம் போற்றுகிறது. வான மண்டலத்தில் இருக்கும் மற்ற கிரகங்களுக்கு சூரியனே ஆற்றல் வழங்குவதாக “சூரிய சித்தாந்தம்’ நூல் கூறுகிறது. சூரியன் சித்திரை மாதத்தில், மேஷ ராசியில் சஞ்சரிக்கும் காலத்தில், அளவற்ற ஆற்றலைப் பெறுகிறார். அதன் காரணமாகத்தான் அந்த மாதத்தில் உஷ்ணம் மிக அதிகமாக இருக்கிறது. அவர் முதல் ராசியான மேஷத்தில் பிரவேசிக்கும் நாளையே “தமிழ்ப்புத்தாண்டாக’ கொண்டாடுகிறோம். முதல்மாதமான சித்திரையில் சூரியன் உச்சநிலை பெறும் நேரத்தை “அக்னி நட்சத்திர காலம்’ என்று ஜோதிட சாஸ்திரம் கூறுகிறது.

எண்ணுசிறு தானியங்கள் எங்குமே நன்னும்

பொருள்: விஜய ஆண்டில் மழை அதிகமாகப் பெய்யும். புன்செய் தானியங்களான கம்பு,கேழ்வரகு போன்றவை அதிகமாக விளையும். அதிகாரிகள் பயத்துடன் கடமைகளைச் செய்து வருவர்.

ரிஷபம், சிம்மம், தனுசு
சுமாரான பலன் பெறும் ராசியினர்

Human beings are the only species that can recognize greatness and revere the glorious. Use that capacity, discriminate and get the maximum benefit out of it, in this birth. Be convinced and have firm faith that the Truth will set you free and will protect you. Just as there are two wires, the positive and the negative which are brought together to produce light, so too the Supreme Self (Paramatma) and the spiritual aspirant (Sadhaka) have to meet in Yoga, to receive illumination! So gladly go to the holy places and keep company with the holy and the pious. A magnet attracts pure iron, similarly a sincere aspirant is attracted to only such things that will grant them Joy and Courage.

Message For The Day….Sound Of Manthra is as Valuable as its Meaning !!!

Every little moment or incident results in sound; be it the falling of an eyelid over the eye or the dropping of dew on a petal. The range of one’s ear is limited to what one can hear. Even a poisonous cobra can be quietened by music. Sound (Naadham) has that property. The child in the cradle stops wailing as soon as the lullaby is sung. It may not carry any meaning that the child interprets, but the sound does soothe the nerves and induce sleep. So too, the sound of a Manthra is as valuable as its meaning. The meaning of the Gayathri Manthra, is very direct and profound. It does not ask for mercy or pardon. It asks for a clear intellect, so that the Truth may be reflected therein correctly, without any disfigurement. This can be chanted by people of all times and will help aspirants to intensify their Sadhana and achieve success.

வாழ்க்கைல எந்தக் கஷ்டத்தையும் பகவானோட நாமசங்கீர்த்தனம் போக்கிடும். கவலைப்படாதே!

1964ல் சோழவரத்தில் இருந்த ஒரு பள்ளி ஆசிரியர், வேலைப்பளு காரணமாக பெரியவாளை தர்சனம் பண்ண போகமுடியவில்லையே என்று ரொம்ப ஏங்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தார். அன்று காரடையார் நோன்பு. பங்குனி மாசம் ராத்ரி பிறந்ததால், நோன்பையும் ராத்ரி பண்ணிவிட்டு ரொம்ப நேரம் கழித்து அவர் மனைவி தூங்கப் போனாள். அவளுக்கு அற்புதமான ஒரு கனவு!

எந்த ஒரு அவதாரத்தால் காஷாயத்துக்குப் பெருமையோ, அந்த மஹா பெரியவா அந்த அம்மா முன்னால் நிற்கிறார். அவருடைய பாதங்களில் நமஸ்கரிக்கிறாள். பெரியவாளின் தெய்வீக குரல் ஒலிக்கிறது…..
“வாழ்க்கைல எந்தக் கஷ்டத்தையும் பகவானோட நாமசங்கீர்த்தனம் போக்கிடும். கவலைப்படாதே! நா……ஒன்னோட ஆத்துல பூஜை பண்ணுவேன்”…
சந்தோஷத்தில் திடுக்கென்று எழுந்தால், கனவு என்று உணர்ந்தாலும், மனஸ் ரொம்ப நிறைந்து இருந்தது. அடிக்கடி அந்தக் கனவை எண்ணி எண்ணி தம்பதிகள் மகிழ்வார்கள். “ஆனாலும், எனக்கு ரொம்ப பேராசைதான்… மஹா பெரியவா நம்மாத்துல பூஜை பண்றார்…ன்னு எப்பிடி ஆசைப்பட்டிருக்கேன்!..” மனைவி சொன்னாள்.
1965ல் நவம்பர் மாசம் ஏதோ ஒரு ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை. மத்யான்னம் அவர்கள் வீட்டு வாசலில் ஒரு கார் வந்து நின்றது. அதிலிருந்து பூணூல், சிகை வைத்துக்கொண்டு பஞ்சகச்சம் கட்டிக் கொண்டு ஒரு பெரியவர் இறங்கினார்.
“மீனாக்ஷி சுந்தரமையர்…..” பெயரைச்சொல்லி விஜாரித்தார்.
“நாந்தான்…..மீனாட்சிசுந்தரம். வாங்கோ! நீங்க யாருன்னு தெரியலியே!.”
“நா….ஸ்ரீமடம் முகாம்லேர்ந்து வரேன்..பெரியவா திருப்பதிலேர்ந்து மெட்ராஸ் வந்துண்டு இருக்கார்…ஒரொரு 15 மைலுக்கு ஒரு எடத்துல தங்கி பூஜை பண்ணிண்டு, மாஸக் கடைசீல மெட்ராஸ் போகணும்ன்னு உத்தேஸம்!….”
[அவர் அடுத்து சொன்ன செய்தியைக் கேட்டு தம்பதிகள் இருவரும் மயக்கம் போடாத குறைதான் !]
“….நவம்பர் 15 இங்க சோழவரத்துல தங்கப் போறா….அதான்….ஒங்களோட க்ருஹத்தை ரெண்டு நாளைக்கு கொஞ்சம் குடுத்தா…..பெரியவா இங்கேயே தங்கி பூஜை, அனுஷ்டானங்கள் பண்ணிப்பார்…..எப்டி, ஒங்களுக்கு சௌகர்யப்படுமா?.”
“சௌகர்ய…படு…மாவா? எங்களோட பரம பாக்யம்…ன்னா !! எத்தனை நாள் வேணாலும் பெரியவா தங்கிக்கலாம். என்ன ஏற்பாடு பண்ணணுமோ சொல்லுங்கோ!..” உணர்ச்சி வேகத்தில் அவர்கள் கண்களில் கண்ணீர் வழிந்தது.
“நாங்க மடத்துலேர்ந்தே எல்லா ஏற்பாடும் பண்ணிடுவோம். எடம் மட்டும் குடுத்தா போறும்..”
அன்று சாயங்காலமே ஊர் முக்யஸ்தர்களை கூப்பிட்டு பெரியவா தன் பரிவாரங்களோடு தங்க, தக்க ஏற்பாடுகளை வகுத்தார்கள். ஒரு தெருவையே மடத்துக்கென்று காலி பண்ணிக் குடுத்தார்கள். யானை, ஒட்டகம் கட்ட, ஆபீஸ், பாரிஷதர்கள் ஓய்வெடுக்க, சமையல் செய்ய, சாப்பாடு போட என்று ஒவ்வொருவரும் ஆசை ஆசையாய் ஏற்பாடு பண்ணினார்கள். சுற்று வட்டார க்ராம மக்கள், தான்யம், காய்கறி கொடுத்தனர். செட்டிநாடு ராஜா அரிசி மூட்டைகளை அனுப்பினார்.
நவம்பர் 14 அன்று பூர்ண கும்பத்தோடு பெரியவாளை ஊர் எல்லையிலிருந்தே தக்க மரியாதையோடு அழைத்து வந்தனர். மூன்று நாட்கள் தங்குவது என்று முடிவானது கடைசியில் ஐந்து நாட்கள் தங்கி அத்தனை பேர் மனங்களையும் குளிரப் பண்ணினார்.

இப்படி ஊர் ஊராக, க்ராமம் க்ராமமாக பாதங்கள் தேய நடந்து, மூன்று கால பூஜை [அதுவும் க்ரமம் தப்பாத பூஜை], அனுஷ்டானம், சமையல் சாப்பாடு, நேரங்காலம் தெரியாமல் கோடிக்கணக்கான பக்தர்கள் குறைகளை கேட்பது, தீர்வு சொல்வது, பரிவாரங்களோடு, மடிசஞ்சி வைத்துக்கொள்ள கூண்டு வண்டி, வெய்யிலோ, மழையோ, அத்வானக்காடோ, ஆகாசம் பார்க்கும் குடிசையோ, கல்லோ, முள்ளோ எல்லாவற்றையும் “ஒன்றே” எனக்கொண்டு, பெரியவா எதற்காக, யாருக்காக தன்னை இப்படி வருத்திக் கொண்டார்?  “எல்லாம் நமக்காகத்தான்” என்பதை நாம் துளி உணர்ந்தால் கூட, அதுவே நாம் பெரியவாளுக்கு செய்யும் நமஸ்காரம், பூஜை.

Everyone has inside them a whole set of animals. You must suppress the tendencies of these animals and encourage the human qualities of love and friendship to shine forth. Begin the cultivation of virtues even when young, it is very important and more beneficial than book-learning. Treat everyone as your own people and even if you cannot do them any good, desist from causing any injury. Burn the lamp of love in the niche of your heart and the nocturnal birds of greed and envy will fly away, unable to bear the light. Love makes you humble, it makes you bend and bow when you see greatness and glory.

Message For The Day….Do Not Worry About Ups And Downs ….

First, have unshakeable faith that can stand the ridicule of the ignorant, worldly and the low-minded. When someone ridicules you, reflect within yourself – Are they ridiculing my body or soul? If they are ridiculing my body, they are helping me develop detachment! Ridiculing the soul is impossible, for, theAtma is beyond praise or blame, words or thoughts. Then repeat to yourself, “I am the Eternal Self, Pure and Immovable (Nirmala, Nischala) and so I must transcend this feeling.” Secondly, do not worry about ups and downs, loss or gain, joy or grief. You are the creator of your own destiny. You crave for something – when you get it, you feel joyful! If you don’t get it, you are in despair. Cut the craving off, and there will be no more swings between joy and grief. Finally, be convinced in the Omnipresence of Divinity.

Even Today Devotees Experience the Miracles of Mahaperiavar!!!

Here are two different mails received from our members. We are very glad and proud to present these first-hand experiences from the current generation of people, who are still witnessing the miracles of Periva, because of the sheer devotion they have in Him.

a) Rain in Sathuragiri – experience of Sri Hari (extracted from the member’s mail):

“We visited Sathuragiri during the weekend of March 23-24, and had a wonderful darshan of the Swami on the hill top. While we were back in the basement on March 24, we had our bath and were performing our anushtaanam in a garden of a private property (thoppu). There, as we were doing our Japam, one of the working women came around and requested us to pray for rains for that region. We were obviously reminded instantly of our Periva only and we made a sincere prayer to Him to bless that region with some showers, and told those workers that they can expect a rainfall soon, and came back to Chennai.

On Tuesday the 26th March 2013, out of a sudden thought, we gave a quick call to the Thoppu people to find out if all is well. To our surprise, we found that the previous evening 25th March, they witnessed very good amount of rainfall in their region and all the drylands had received sufficiently good amount of rain to keep them wet and safe for a few more months. They said they had not seen such a thick rainfall for many months in the past. We were more than glad, and thanked Periva once again – just wanted to share this with everyone else, as He has always been so kind to bring in rainfall for all affected areas like the Sage RishyaSrungar.”

b) Rain in Tirupur – experience of Sri K Narayanan, Tirupur (extract from the member’s mail):

“I am from Tirupur. Yesterday (7th April 2013) we had the Unchivirthi from Prathosham Mama team at Tirupur. Sri Vinayakaram , famous Gadam Vidhvan gave a “Chathur Gadam – Solo” performance on the occasion to celebrate Mahaswami’s 120th Jayanthi. During the welcome speech, Dr K Natarajan , representing Tirupur public put forth a request to Sri Vinayakaram to pray for the betterment of Tirupur and for rains .

Sri Vinayakaram , before he commenced his performance said that on the last occasion when he performed at Tirupur at Ramakrishna Bajanai Madam at Tirupur year before last year, he put forth the prayer for the madam to be renovated ( it was in a dilapidated condition ) and said that today Periyava’s karunai had made it happen. He further said that Periyava will shower his blessings for the request now made. He started his performance.

Within seconds, there was a good shower in Tirupur. This is the way HE (periyava) responds to the prayers of Bakthas in no time. All present at the venue were overwhelmed by his shower of blessing by way of shower of rain. We all hope that he will bring back Tirupur back to its glory.”
