Consider your physical body a chariot. Just as the horse is important for the chariot, your mind is the most important thing for your body. What is the point if the chariot is very tastefully decorated and the horse is starved? Today, many of you are caring so much for the body and entirely neglecting the mind. Many have a very good, soft bed and stay in air-conditioned rooms, yet their body feels the heat and the mind is suffering from restlessness, with no peace of mind. Why? You are caring so much for the body and neglecting the mind. Take good care of the mind. If you do so, even if you go to a forest, it will be for-rest! The most appropriate food for your mind are virtues, good feelings, good conduct and good thought. Feed the horse well, the chariot will run! So too, take good care of your mind, you will be happy and peaceful

There was once an old woman in Paris. It was winter and December was around the corner. Many poor people were sleeping on the streets and shivering with cold. She went around the streets and covered them with a blanket. She completed the job without any fuss or noise. Over time, the people in the town came to know about it. They wondered why this humble old woman who was herself struggling to make her ends meet setting out to help others! When children used to ask her, “Grandma, why are you walking with your head down? You are a great person!” she would respond humbly, “God is giving us everything with many hands, and I am giving with a single hand. Is that not a shame for me?” Many great people world over, have placed before us the high ideals of charity

OM SRI GURUPYO NAMAHA:,RESPECTFUL PRANAMS TO SRI KANCHI MAHA PERIVA.

My name is Madhu and my grand mother’s Athai’s daughter is Pollachi Paatti.

Once Pollachi Paati told Him that I am suffering and fighting for life due to the disease called Hemangioma which is an abnormal buildup of blood vessels in the skin or internal organs. The symptoms of which are a red to reddish-purple, raised sore (lesion) on the skin. The doctor had also given up and said I cannot survive.

Then Mahaswamigal told my Paati, “Naan irrukken.. Naan andha kuzhandhaiyai paathukkaren… I am there, I will take care of that child!”From the moment That Sarveshwaran laid His eyes on on me all my physical problems slowly started disappearing and I became alright gradually.
I do remember Mahaswamigal enquring about me with kindness, “How are you?” ie “eppadi irukke?” He also used to give me orange prasadam. I do not remember what I spoke to Him. But my grandmother and others say that I used to converse with Him like a friend sharing all my feelings. Like, “I have pain here, and You have to save me! Some people are asking what is on my face and are making make fun of me etc..” He just listened to me and said, “Do not worry, My child!”.

Once when I was much younger, Mahaswamigal rolled Kalkandu from the window. I quickly grabbed and touched his hand by mistake. Everyone was shocked but He did not do Snanam and said, “No problems!”.

I was ten years old When He attained Siddhi. I felt like my heart had stopped for a second when I saw Him being placed in a chair after His Siddhi.

My son was born last year. I had prayed to offer Elakkai garland at His Adhistanam after his punyajanam ceremony. But since I was awake the whole night for my baby I could not do that. So I was a little upset that I could not make the garland. When we finished dharshan at His Adhistanam, we got the blessings of Bala Periyava also.

At that time He called us again and gave us an Elakkai Maalai. I was simply stunned and I just wept. How did Bala Periyava come to know about the Elakkai Maalai?… Sarveshwara.

Then I believed in true devotion to our Gurus Mahaswamigal and our Periyavas. They will never let us down. All we have to do is to hold on to Their Lotus Feet tightly, whether we are sad or happy.

My parents, husband, my child, my extended family and every person that I meet in my life I see them in the form of Mahaswamigal. And He is right there to protect me wherever I go.

Always help the poor and those suffering and in distress. Once upon a time, in Tamil Nadu, lived a poet saint who squatted on the small veranda of his hut and chanted beautiful songs to the Lord. One day, it was raining heavily. Another man came and asked him if he could also take shelter there. The devotee said, “There was place just enough for me to stretch out, but now that you are here we will both sit erect.” Later, another man stopped by and asked for shelter. The devotee again agreed saying, “There was place for the two of us to sit. Now that you also have joined, let us all stand.” He thus taught the principle of helping everyone and not sending anyone away who needed help, even when the means are limited. Cultivate this attitude of sharing with others any good thing you have. Thus you can practice daily, the great principle of finding God in every being.

God dwells in each and every one of us. Do not criticise anybody, you will accumulate sin. Do not hate anyone. Never deride anyone’s action or ridicule them on the grounds of caste, race, gender, religion or community. There is only one caste, the caste of humanity. There is only one religion, the religion of love. There is only one language, the language of the heart. All of you must understand and internalize this. Become an ideal person from today. Develop faith in the ‘Brotherhood of Man and the Fatherhood of God’. Do not worry about the past, forget it. This will lead you to real bliss. Thus I bless you!

Do not think that God is at some distant place. He is with you, nearer than your most beloved family. Develop good qualities. Be a part of the society by undertaking noble activities. God (Bhagawan) does not expect anything from you nor does He need anything. All He cares for is your good reputation. The body is bound to perish. No one can escape death, even if they hide themselves in a forest. Do not worry about it. Continuously develop virtues as they will remain with you and protect you always. Use your discrimination, but this should not be individual discrimination, but be discrimination at the societal and universal level. Only then truth and right conduct will prevail. This should be the barometer for your conduct.

” மஹா பெரியவர் சொன்ன மணியான வார்த்தைகள் …”

நாம் வெள்ளைக்காரர்கள் அல்ல. ஜனவரி முதல் நாள் எந்த விதத்திலும் நமது புத்தாண்டு அல்ல. ஆனால் பல நூறு ஆண்டுகள் வெள்ளையர் ஆண்ட நாடு இது. அவர்கள் அறிமுகப்படுத்திய பழக்க வழக்கங்கள் இன்றும் நம்மை விட்டு போகவில்லையே. ஆங்கிலத்தில் வீட்டிலேயே பேசும் தமிழ்க்குடும்பங்கள் அதை நாகரிகமாக கருதுகிறோமா? தாய்மொழி தள்ளி வைக்கப்படுவது ஏன்? அதன் சிறப்பு ஏன் புரியவில்லை? கொஞ்சம் கொஞ்சமாக நாம் மேற்கு நோக்கி ஏன் நகர்கிறோம்? நாம் என்ன காட்டு மிராண்டிகளா இன்னும்? எனக்கு இதற்கெல்லாம் விடை தெரியாது. ஏனெனில் நானும் கும்பலில் ஒருத்தன் தானே.

 ஒரு உருப்படியான விஷயமும் தருகிறேனே. நான் தரவில்லை இந்த விஷயம். மகா பெரியவா உங்களுக்கு தந்தது.  

 

 

1. உடம்பினால் நல்ல காரியம் செய்யவேண்டும். கோயிலுக்குப் போய் பிரதக்ஷிணம் செய்து நமஸ்காரம் செய்ய வேண்டும். தண்டம்சமர்ப்பித்தல் என்று சமஸ்காரத்தைச் சொல்லுவார்கள். தடியைப்போல் விழுவது தான் அது. இந்த உடம்பு நமதன்று, அவருடையது என்று நினைத்து அவர் சந்நிதியில் போட்டு விட வேண்டும்.

2. இந்த ஜென்மத்திற்குப் பின்பும் உபயோகப்படக் கூடிய சில காரியங்கள் செய்யப்பட வேண்டியது அவசியம். விபூதி இட்டுக் கொள்ளுதல், ருத்ராக்ஷம் அணிதல், ச்ராத்தம் செய்தல் முதலிய காரியங்கள் நாம் எப்பொழுதும் சௌக்யமாக இருப்பதற்கு உதவுங்காரியங்கள்.

3. நாமாவும் ரூபமும் இல்லாத மதம் நமது மதம். பேர் ஏன் இல்லை? அடையாளம் ஏன் இல்லை? மற்ற மதங்களுக்கெல்லாம் இருக்கிறதேஎன்று ஒரு சமயம் யோசித்துப் பார்த்தேன். அப்புறம் எனக்கு நிரம்ப சந்தோஷமாக இருந்தது. பேரில்லாமல் இருப்பது ஒரு கௌரவம் என்பது ஏற்பட்டது.

4. நம்முடைய மதம் எவ்வளவோ யுகங்களாக நீடித்து வாழ்ந்து வருகிறது. நமக்குத் தெரியாமல் ஏதோ ஒன்று இதைத் தாங்கிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறது. எவ்வளவோ வித்யாசங்கள் இருந்தாலும் இந்த மதம் அழியாமல் நிற்கிறது. லோகம் புரண்டு போனாலும் நம்முடைய கடமைகளைச் செய்து கொண்டு பயமின்றி அன்புடன் சாமாண்ய தர்மங்களை நன்றாக ரக்ஷித்து விசேஷதர்மத்தைக் கூடியவரை ரக்ஷிக்க வேண்டும். அதற்குரிய சக்தியைப் பகவான் அளிப்பாராக.

5. மூன்று மூர்த்திகளுக்கும் மேலே அதீதராகப் பரமசிவன் இருக்கிறார். அவர் ப்ரம்மாவுக்கு அனுக்ரஹம் பண்ணுகிறார். காமேச்வரனாக அருள் புரிகிறார். பராசக்தி காமேச்வரியாக அனுக்ரஹிப்பாள். பரமேச்வரனுடைய அனுக்ரஹத்தால் ப்ரம்மா வேதங்களை அறிந்து கொள்கிறார். நான்கு வேதங்களையும் நான்கு முகத்தில் சொல்லிக் கொண்டு சிருஷ்டியைச் செய்து கொண்டிருக்கிறார்.

6. வேதத்திலிருப்பதை எல்லோருக்கும் நன்றாக விளங்க வைப்பது பதினெட்டு புராணங்கள். பதினெட்டு உப புராணங்கள் வேறேஇருக்கின்றன. பதினெட்டு புராணங்களும் சேர்ந்து நான்கு லட்சம் கிரந்தம். ஒரு கிரந்தம் என்பது 32 எழுத்துக்ள் கொண்டது. பதினெழு புராணங்கள் மூன்று லட்சம் கொண்டவை. மிகுதியுள்ள ஒரு லட்ச கிரந்தம் ஸ்காந்த புராணம். பரமசிவனைப் பற்றிச் சொல்பவை பத்து புராணங்கள், அவைகளுள் ஒன்றே லட்சம் கிரந்தம் உடையது.

7. பாபத்தை ஒரேக்ஷணத்தில் துவம்சம் பண்ணும் ஒரு வஸ்து உண்டு. இரண்டு எழுத்துக்களாலான பெயர் அது. வேதங்களின் ஜீவரத்னம் அதுவே. கோயிலில் மஹாலிங்கம் போலவும் தேகத்தில் உயிர் போலவும் அது வேதங்களின் மத்தியில் இருக்கிறது. (”சிவ” என்ற இரண்டு எழுத்துக்களே அது) அதை ஒருதரம் சொன்னால் போதும். வேறு ஒரு காரியத்துக்கு நடுவிலும் சொல்லலாம். சொன்னால் அந்த க்ஷணத்திலேயே பாபத்தைப் போக்கிவிடும்.

8. வேதங்களுள் யஜுர் வேதம் முக்கியமானது. அதற்குள் அதன் மத்திய பாகமாகிய நாலாவது காண்டம் முக்கியமானது. அதற்குள்ளும் மத்திய பாகமான நாலாவது ப்ரச்னம் முக்கிய மானது. அதுதான் ஸ்ரீருத்ரம். அதற்குள்ளும் ‘நம: சிவாய’ என்ற பஞ்சாக்ஷர வாக்கியம் மத்தியில் இருக்கிறது. அதன் மத்தியில் ‘சிவ’ என்ற இரண்டு அக்ஷரங்கள் அடங்கியுள்ளன. இதையே ஜீவரத்னம் என்று பெரியோர்கள் சொல்லுவார்கள். இந்த அபிப்பிராயத்தை அப்பய்ய தீக்ஷிதர் ப்ரம்மதர்க்க ஸ்தவத்தில் சொல்லியிருக்கிறார்கள். அந்த ப்ரம்மம் சிவஸ்வரூபம் என்று தெரிகிறது.

9. அப்படிப்பட்ட ஸ்வரூபத்தை ஆராதிப்பதற்கு அடையாளமாகச் சிவபக்தர்கள் எல்லோரும் ஐந்து வித காரியங்களைச் செய்து கொண்டிருக்க வேண்டும். அவைகளாவன: (1) விபூதி தரித்தல், (2) ருத்ராக்ஷம் அணிதல், (3) பஞ்சாக்ஷர மந்திரத்தை ஜபம் செய்தல், பஞ்சாக்ஷர மந்திரம் உபதேசமாகாதவர்கள் ‘சிவ’ என்ற பதத்தை ஜபம் செய்தல், (4) வில்வ தளத்தால் பரமேச்வரனைப் பூசித்தல், (5) இருதயத்தில் சதா சிவத்யானம் செய்தல் இவைகள் ஒவ்வொன்றும் ஈச்வரனுக்கு விசேஷப்ரீதியைக் கொடுக்கக் கூடியது.

(குறிப்பு: பஞ்சாக்ஷர மந்திரத்தை உபதேச பெற்று ஜபம் செய்தல் சிறப்பு. எனினும் உபதேசம் பெறாதவரும் இம்மந்திரத்தைத் தாராளம் சொல்லலாம். ”கொல்வாரேனும், குணம் பல நன்மைகள் இல்லாரேனும் இயம்புவராயிடின் எல்லாத் தீங்கையும் நீங்குவர் என்பரால் நல்லார் நாமம் நமச்சிவாயவே” – சம்பந்தர்.)

10. பரமேச்வரனுடைய கீர்த்தியை நாம் வாக்கினால் சொல்லுவதனாலும் கேட்பதனாலும் பவித்திரர்களாக ஆகிறோம். அவருடைய ஆக்ஞையை யாரும் மீறமுடியாது. அகம்பாவமாக இருக்கும்போது அவர் சிக்ஷிக்கிறார். குழந்தைகள் ஏதாவது தப்பு செய்தால் நாம்அடிக்கிறோம். அதுபோல பரமேச்வரன் தேவதைகளை சிக்ஷித்தார். ஹாலஹால விஷம் பாற்கடலில் உண்டானபொழுது அதைச் சாப்பிட்டு ரக்ஷித்தார். சகல தேவதைகளும் பரமேச்வரனுடைய குழந்தைகள்.

11. பரமேச்வரன் ஓங்காரம், ஸ்வரூப ப்ரம்மமும் ஓங்காரந்தான். அதனுடைய அர்த்தத்தை விசாரிக்கும் ஓர் உபநிஷத்தே தனியாக இருக்கிறது. அதற்கு மாண்டூக்யோபநிஷத் என்று பெயர். அதில் ‘சாந்தம் சிவம் அத்வைதம் சதுர்த்தம் மன்யந்தே’ என்று சொல்லப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. சிவஸ்வரூபம் தான் பரப்பிரம்மம். ப்ரதோஷ காலத்தில் ஈச்வர தரிசனம் செய்ய வேண்டும். ஈச்வரன் கோயிலில் ப்ரதோஷ காலத்தில் எல்லாத் தேவர்களும் வந்து ஈச்வர தரிசனம் செய்கிறார்கள்.

12. சாங்க்ய சூத்திரத்தில் மூன்று கண் உள்ளவன் என்று சொல்லப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. அமரமும் அப்படியே சொல்லுகிறது. லோகத்தில் ஈச்வரன் என்ற சப்தம் சிவனுக்கே வழங்கப்படுகிறது. அவன் மஹாபுருஷன், ப்ரம்ம சூத்திரத்தில் ‘சப்தாதேவப்ரமித’ என்று சொல்லப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. ஈசானன் என்னும் சப்தத்திற்கு எது அர்த்தமோ அதுதான் பரமேச்வர ஸ்வரூபம்.

13. நம்முடைய ஆசார்ய ஸ்வாமிகள் ப்ரச்நோத்தர ரத்ன மாலிகா என்ற க்ரந்தத்தில் ஒரு கேள்வி கேட்கிறார். ‘கோ ப்ராம்மணை ருபாஸ்ய:?’ ‘காயத்ரி அர்க்காக்னி கோசர: சம்பு:’ எந்த வஸ்து காயத்ரி, அக்னி, அர்க்கன் (சூரியன்) என்னும் மூன்றிலும் ப்ரகாசிக்கிறது? சிவன் தான். காயத்ரியின் பரமதாத்பர்யமாயிருப்பவர் அவரே. சூரியனிடத்தில் பிரகாசிப்பவரும் அவர் தான். ஸ்ரீருத்ரத்தில் பரமேச்வரன் அக்னி ஸ்வரூபியாக இருக்கிறார் என்று சொல்லப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. எனவே இந்த மூன்றிலும் பரமேச்வரனை ஆராதிக்க வேண்டும்.

14. விவாஹ காலத்தில் அம்பாளை அவசியம் ஆராதிக்க வேண்டும். ருக்மணி ஸ்ரீகிருஷ்ணன் பர்த்தாவாக வரவேண்டுமென்று அம்பிகையை ஆராதித்தாள். அம்பிகையின் ஆராதனத்தால் பதிபக்தியும் குருபக்தியும் உண்டாகிறது. அதற்காகத்தான் ருக்மணி பூஜை செய்தாள்.

15. ஜகத்துக்குத் தாயாகவும் கருணையுடையவளாகவும் இருக்கும் பரதேவதையிடம் பக்தி இருக்க வேண்டும். எப்படி குழந்தைக்கு வேண்டியதைத் தாய் தருவாளோ அப்படி அம்பிகை லோகத்தில் வித்தை, செல்வம் முதலியவைகளை அடையச் செய்து பின்பு தானாகப் பழுத்துப் பரமானந்தத்தைப் பெறும்படி அனுக்ரஹம் செய்வாள்

” இங்கே வேலை செயரானே ஒரு பையன் குண்டுன்னு …”

‘அதுவொரு தீபாவளி சமயம்! எல்லோரும் புடவை, வேஷ்டி எல்லாம் கொண்டு வந்து தேனம்பாக்கத்தில் அவரிடம் கொடுப்பார்கள். அங்கே கிணற்றுக்குப் பக்கத்தில் ஒரு தொட்டி உண்டு. அதில் ஜவுளி வகையறா எல்லாவற்றையும் போட்டு மூடி வைத்துவிடுவோம்…”

– மீண்டும் ஒரு சுவாரஸ்யமான சம்பவத்தில் துவங்கியது பாலுவின் உரையாடல்.

”குண்டு-ன்னு ஒரு பையன்… 18, 19 வயசு இருக்கும். இங்கே எடுபிடி வேலைகள் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்தான் பெரியவாளுக்கு அவன் மேல ரொம்பப் பிரியம். ஒரு நாள் காலம்பர எங்களையெல்லாம் கூப்பிட்டுத் தொட்டியைக் காட்டினார். தொட்டி காலியாக இருந்தது; உள்ளே ஜவுளி எதுவும் இல்லை. எப்படி அத்தனையும் மாயமா மறைஞ்சு போச்சுன்னு எங்களுக்குத் தெரியலை. மகா பெரியவா எங்களைக் கூப்பிட்டு, நிறைய பட்சணம்லாம் வாங்கிட்டு வரச் சொன்னார். தீபாவளி அன்னிக்கு எண்ணெய் ஸ்நானம் பண்ண எண்ணெய் வேணுமே… அதையும் வாங்கிட்டு வரச் சொன்னார். எங்களுக்கு ஒண்ணுமே புரியலை. பட்சணம், நல்லெண்ணெய் வந்து சேர்ந்தது. பட்டாசு வேணும்னு சொன்னார் பெரியவா. அதுவும் வந்தாச்சு!

எல்லாவற்றையும் வாங்கி வைத்துக்கொண்டு, ‘இங்கே வேலை செய்றானே ஒரு பையன் குண்டுன்னு… அவனுக்கு வெறுமனே வேட்டியும் புடவையும் இருந்தா போறுமா, தீபாவளி கொண்டாட?! அதை மட்டும் வெச்சுண்டு, பாவம் அவன் என்ன செய்வான்? நல்லெண்ணெய், பட்சணம், பட்டாசு எல்லாம் கொண்டு போய்க் கொடுத்துட்டு வாங்கோ… சட்டுனு போங்கோ!’ என்றார் பெரியவா. அப்புறம்தான் எங்களுக்கு, புடவை- வேஷ்டிகளை எல்லாம் எடுத்துண்டு போனது குண்டுதான்னு தெரிஞ்சுது. ஆனா, பெரியவாளுக்குத் துளிக்கூட அவன் மேல கோபம் வரலை!” என்ற பாலு, சற்று இடைவெளி விட்டுத் தொடர்ந்தார்…

”பெரியவாளுக்கு ரொம்ப நாளா ஒரு ஆசை… முக்குறுணிக் கொழுக்கட்டை செய்து பிள்ளையாருக்கு நைவேத்தியம் பண்ணனும்னு…” என்றவர், அது பற்றிச் சொல்லத் தொடங்கினார்.

”மதுரை, திருச்சி, ராமேஸ்வரம்னு சில தலங்களில் முக்குறுணிப் பிள்ளையார் உண்டு. முக்குறுணின்னா… ஆறு படி அளவு. பெரியவா அரிசி அரைச்சுட்டு வரச் சொன்னார். பிரம்மசாரி ராமகிருஷ்ணன்கிட்ட ஐம்பது தேங்காயை உடைச்சு துருவிக் கொண்டுவரும்படி சொன்னார். பூரணம் பண்ணி ஒரே கொழுக் கட்டையா செய்யணும். பெரியவா ஆலோசனைப்படி எட்டு முழ வேட்டியில் கட்டி, வரதராஜ பெருமாள் கோயில்ல இருந்து பெரிய அண்டா கொண்டு வந்தோம். அன்னிக்கு காலைலேர்ந்து சாயங்கால வரைக்கும் கொழுக்கட்டை வெந்தது.

சரி… பிள்ளையாருக்கு நைவேத்தியம் பண்ணணுமே. கொழுக்கட்டையை பெரியவா முன்னாடி வைத்ததும்… ‘தேனம்பாக்கத்துல ஒரு பிள்ளையார் கோயில் இருக்கு. அங்க வாசல்படியில் வெச்சுட்டு வந்துடுங்கோ’ன்னார் பெரியவா. பக்தர்களும் அப்படியே செஞ்சாங்க. அங்க என்னடான்னா… கோயில் வாசல்ல பெரிய மூட்டை கணக்கா இருந்த அண்டாவைப் பார்த்ததும், ஊர் ஜனங்க என்னவோ ஏதோன்னு பதறிட்டாங்க. அப்புறமா, அது பிள்ளையாருக்கான நைவேத்தியம்னு தெரிஞ்சதும், கட்டைப் பிரிச்சிருக்காங்க. உள்ளே பிரமாண்ட கொழுக்கட்டை!

எல்லாருமா பிரிச்சு சாப்பிட்டதுக்குப் பிறகு, ‘சாமி, கொழுக்கட்டை நல்லா இருந்தது’ன்னு பெரியவாளை நமஸ்காரம் பண்ணினாங்க. பெரியவாளுக்கோ, பிள்ளையாருக்கு நைவேத்தியம் பண்ணணும்கற ஆசை நிறைவேறியதோட, ஜனங்களுக்கு அந்தக் கொழுக்கட்டையைத் தின்னக் கொடுத்த திருப்தி!” என்ற பாலு, அடுத்து ஒரு கிரகணத்தன்று நடந்த சம்பவத்தை விவரித்தார்.

”அந்த முறை பெரியவாளோட அனுஷ நட்சத்திரத்துலேயே கிரகணம் பிடிச்சது. கிரகணம் விட்டு ஸ்நானம் எல்லாம் முடிஞ்சதும், தானம் செய்ய உட்கார்ந்தார் பெரியவா. நிறைவா பசு மாடு கொடுக்கணும். திருவட்டீசுவரன்பேட்டை வெங்கட்ராமன், பசு மாட்டுக்குப் பதிலா மட்டைத் தேங்காயை எடுத்து வைத்தார்.

அதாவது, பசு தானம் செய்ய முடியலைன்னா அதுக்கு ப்ரீத்தியாக மட்டைத் தேங்காய் கொடுப்பார்கள். ஆனா, மகா பெரியவா கோவிச்சுக்கிட்டார். ‘என்னை ஏமாத்தப் பார்க்கறியா? மாட்டைக் கொண்டு வான்னா, நல்லதா ஒரு மாட்டைத்தான் கொண்டு வரணும்’னுட்டார். அப்புறம், எப்படியோ நல்லதொரு கறவை மாடாகக் கொண்டு வந்து நிறுத்தினாங்க. அதைத் தானம் கொடுத்த பிறகுதான் பெரியவாளுக்குத் திருப்தி! அதேபோன்று பூதானத்துக்கு ப்ரீத்தியா சந்தனக் கட்டை கொடுக்கலாம். ஆனால், அப்போதும் பெரியவா, கூடலூர் கல்யாண சுந்தரமய்யர் கொடுத்த ஒன்றரை ஏக்கர் நிலத்தை வேறு ஒருவருக்கு அப்படியே தானமாகக் கொடுத்துவிட்டார்!

விளாப்பாக்கம் என்ற ஊரில் குமரேசன்னு ஒரு பக்தர். அவர் குடும்பத்துல யாரோ பில்லி-சூன்யம் வெச்சுட்டாங்க. குளிச்சு உலர்த்தும் ஈரத்துணியும் தீப்பிடிக்குமாம். அவர் பெண்ணுக்குக் கண்ணைத் திறக்கவே முடியாது. ஜோசியம்லாம் பார்த்தும் பலனில்லை. அவர், தன் பெண்ணை பெரியவாகிட்ட அழைச்சுட்டு வந்தார். ‘யாரோ என் பெண்ணோட கண்ணைக் கட்டிட்டா! பெரியவாதான் அனுக்கிரகம் பண்ணணும்’னு கதறினார். பெரியவா, அந்தப் பெண்ணோட கண்ணையே கொஞ்ச நேரம் உற்றுப் பார்த்தார். அப்புறம், அவளை துர்கை சந்நிதிக்கு அழைச்சுட்டுப் போகச் சொன்னார். அம்பாளுக்கு முன்னாடி நிறுத்தி, கண்ணைத் திறக்கும்படி சொன்னார். என்ன ஆச்சரியம்..! அவளால் கண்ணைத் திறக்க முடிஞ்சுது. கண்ணைத் திறந்ததும், எதிரே துர்கை தரிசனம்… சிலிர்த்துப் போயிட்டா. அவளுக்குப் பார்வை சரியானதோடு, அன்னியிலேர்ந்து வீட்டில் துணிமணிகள் தீப்பற்றி எரிவதும் நின்னு போச்சு!”

– பாலு சொல்லி முடிக்க, அந்தக் கருணைக் கடாட்சங்களை எண்ணி, நம்மையும் அறியாமல் காஞ்சி தெய்வத்தை தொழுது பணிகிறது நம் உள்ளம்….

If you work for 24 hours in an air-conditioned place, you will take this for granted and not realize its value. But if you work for four hours in the Sun, and then sit in an air-conditioned room, you will recognize its value. Without heat, there is no value for the air-conditioner. So too, without troubles, we will not realize the value of comforts. Only when we suffer, we realize what is joy! At times, to relieve the pain and suffering in one part of your body, the doctor may perform an operation. The surgery is a painful procedure. However, without undergoing that short term pain, you cannot remove the long term suffering. That is why the scriptures clearly call out that happiness cannot be derived from happiness. Without goodness, life has no meaning. Without sorrow, there is no value for happiness.
