From the freedom of wide open spaces to glittering of big city lights, our world is filled with thousands of breathtaking panoramas just waiting to be enjoyed. With the variety of natural wonders and stunning cities throughout the world, finding the best views can be somewhat of a daunting task. Well, we’ve gone to the community of thousands of travelers and locals at minube to find out their favorite viewpoints, overlooks, galleries, and gazebos the world over and create this list of the world’s 10 most mesmerizing views.

Preikestolen, Norway – Towering more than 650 yards above the epic Lysefjord, Norway’s Preikestolen (or Pulpit Rock) is understandably one of the country’s most popular landmarks, and home to some of the world’s best views. While the hike up can be tough (travelers unanimously suggest bringing good boots!), you’re rewarded with a jaw-dropping landscape and a peaceful silence broken only by the wind bringing the fog dramatically down over the cliffs. Bagan, Myanmar – Few relics of the ancient world are as spectacular as Bagan, an open plain in central Myanmar dotted with literally thousands of stupas and temples. To enjoy the best views (and the peace and quiet before the tour buses arrive), many travelers suggest getting there first thing in the morning when the sun first hits the stupas appearing slowly out of the morning mist. Top of the Rock, New York City – 850 feet above the bustling streets of Manhattan, the Rockefeller Center observation deck has arguably the best views of the City that Never Sleeps, perhaps even better (and cheaper) than those of the Empire State Building. While many travelers suggest setting your alarms and getting there early to avoid the long lines, it’s especially spectacular during an evening visit when you can see the sunset cast its colors on Central Park and the buildings of Lower Manhattan begin to light up. Chipeque Viewpoint, Canary Islands – Perhaps the most romantic view on this list is the Chipeque Viewpoint in Tenerife in Spain’s Canary Islands. The magic of this viewpoint comes from the combination of Orotava Valley, the various towns below, the Atlantic Ocean in the background, the imposing peak of the Teide volcano. The Peak, Hong Kong – There’s nowhere better to take in the neon spectacle that is Hong Kong’s skyline than The Peak, a complex of restaurants, shops, and bars perched atop the island’s highest point, Victoria Peak. You can get there quickly by cable car, spend the afternoon taking in the panorama and enjoying dinner with a view, and then try heading back down on foot (it’s fairly easy) to take in the city from all angles. Vinayaka is the Lord who removes all obstacles. The elephant is noted for its acute intelligence. Ganesha’s elephant head symbolises sharpness of intellect and the highest power of discrimination. In a forest, when an elephant moves through the jungle, it clears all the obstacles, and leads the way for others to follow. Likewise, worship Ganesha at the start of any activity. His Grace is sufficient to clear all the obstacles in your path and grant success in your undertakings. The small mouse is a clever and lively creature. Symbolically it implies that we should be wise, agile and diligent in our actions. Vinayaka is a deity of infinite potency, who encompasses the entire universe within Himself. Accord Him a place of honour and secure His Grace. Then your journey of life will be made smoother and happier.

Jaguar ambushes caiman

This jaguar in Brazil swam silently across the river to ambush the unsuspecting caiman on the opposite bank. The 20-stone cat sank its teeth and claws into the 8 foot reptile, then carried it off in its jaws, swimming back across the river with its catch.

Water vole

This little vole has been seen whittling away from his nest in the Kent woodland, and caught the eye of amateur snapper Mark Bridger.

Hyena shower

Tourists at Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in Mabuasehube, Botswana were amazed to see this hyena nip into the outdoor campsite bathroom for a soak just metres away from them.

Lions in shower

Word must have got out about the leaking shower, two lions turned up after the hyena in search of some water. Within a few minutes a pride of eight more lions descended on the outdoor shower.

Dustin Bockman lies on top of his record setting alligator, weighing 727 pounds (330 kg) and measuring 13 feet (3.96 m), captured in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Dustin, a 27-year-old UPS driver, and his crew spotted the mammoth creature in the Mississippi River and trailed it for two hours before getting close enough to spear it. It took another two hours to hook it with a second line and noose its neck.

Keepers hand-rear baby elephant rejected by mother at Shendiao Mountain Zoo, Weihai, Shandong Province, China. When the mother of this cub gave birth early on 31 August she immediately appeared very agitated and refused to have anything to do with it. Zoo keepers then had to step in to rescue the cub and are now hand-rearing it..

The Memphis Zoo announced the first Snow Leopard birth in more than a decade. The cub, a male, was born to parents ‘Ateri’ and ‘Darhan.’ Ateri, a first-time mother, is nursing the cub behind the scenes. The public will be invited to vote on their favorite of seven pre-chosen names.

British diver Pash Baker photographed this whale shark in the Red Sea. These sea-beasts weigh in at an average of twenty tonnes as they cruise the ocean’s waters in their quest to consume as much plankton as they possibly can.

This giraffe took such a dislike to this cyclist – who was taking picture of the giraffe on his mobile phone – that the enraged 18-foot-tall creature gave chase, eventually destroying the cyclist’s mountain bike. The cyclist who stirred up the giraffe’s anger, Louise John Rex and his friend Ryk van Niekerk, who took the footage, were travelling by bike across the Groenkloof Nature Reserve in Pretoria, South Africa.’I had to jump off my bike immediately – there was no time to drive away,’ said Louise

You ask for Grace, which is rare and is available at a high cost. However, you pay only trash and are disappointed that you are unable to secure it! Isn’t it sheer avarice! You claim that you have been visiting Puttaparthi (or other sacred places) and have served there, longer than 18 years or so and expect huge chunks of Grace. But it is not the years that matter – what matters is the depth to which the roots of Karma (past actions) have grown from your previous births. It takes a long time and systematic effort to clear the field of all those growths – that effort is the sadhana, of good actions and worship (Karma and Upasana).

ஆண்டவன் மீதும் சாஸ்திரங்கள் மீதும் நாம் வைக்கும் நம்பிக்கையே மூடநம்பிக்கை என்று சொல்லும் பகுத்தறிவாளர்கள் உண்டு. அவர்களுடைய நம்பிக்கைகள் எல்லாம் கெட்டிக்காரத்தனம் என்றும் நம்முடைய நம்பிக்கைகள் மட்டும் மூடத்தனம் என்றும் அவர்கள் கருதுகிறார்கள். நான் சொல்கிறேன். நம்பிக்கையில் மூட நம்பிக்கை, குருட்டு நம்பிக்கை, கெட்டிக்கார நம்பிக்கை… எதுவும் கிடையாது. சொல்லப்போனால் நம்பிக்கை என்பதே ஒரு மூடத்தனம். அதிலே தனியாக ஒரு மூட நம்பிக்கை ஏது?

நம்பிக்கை என்பது இப்படி நடக்கும் என்று ஆசைப்படுவது. அப்படி நடக்காமலும் போய்விடலாம். அப்போது அது மூடத்தனமாகிவிடுகிறது. ஆண்டவனை நம்புவதிலும், அதே நிலைதான். அது தோல்வியுற்றால் மூடத்தனம். வெற்றி பெற்றால் கெட்டிக்காரத்தனம்.

ஆகவே, நம்பிக்கை என்ற மூடத்தனம் மனிதனாகப் பிறந்த ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் உண்டு. அதில் ஆஸ்திகன் மட்டுமென்ன தனி ஜாதி! இதுவரை எந்த நம்பிக்கை எல்லா நேரங்களிலும் பலித்திருக்கிறது? ஆனால், நம்பிக்கை என்ற மூடத்தனத்தை ஏன் எல்லாருமே மேற்கொள்கிறார்கள்? அதிலே மனத்துக்கு ஒரு சாந்தி.

தெய்வ நம்பிக்கை, நிம்மதிக்கும் மகிழ்ச்சிக்குமாகவே ஏற்பட்டது. விஞ்ஞான நம்பிக்கையைப் போல் ஒரு கட்டத்தில் தோல்வியுற்றாலும் மறு கட்டத்தில் வெற்றி பெறுவதுதான் தெய்வ நம்பிக்கை.

“ஒரு சூத்திரதாரியின் கைப்பொம்மைகள் நாம்” என்பது மறுக்க முடியாதது. மரணம் என்ற ஒன்று, அதைத் தினசரி வலியுறுத்துகிறது. இவ்வளவுக்குப் பிறகும், தெய்வ நம்பிக்கையைச் சிலர் மூட நம்பிக்கை என்று சொல்வார்களானால், “நான் ஒரு மூடன்’ என்று சொல்லிக் கொள்வதிலேயே பெருமைப்படுகிறேன்.

முட்டாள்தனத்தில் இருக்கிற நிம்மதி கெட்டிக்காரத்தனத்தில் இல்லை. உடம்பிலோ எல்லா நோயும் இருந்தும் “ஒன்றுமே இல்லை’ என்று நம்புகிற முட்டாள் ஆரோக்கியமாகவே இருக்கிறான். ஒரு நோயும் இல்லாமலேயே ஒவ்வொரு மயிர்க்காலையும் பார்த்து, “”இது அதுவாக இருக்குமோ? என்று ஆராய்ச்சி செய்கிற அறிவாளி, நித்திய நோயாளியாகச் சாகிறான்.

“சுடு’ என்று சொன்னவுடனேயே யாரைச் சுடுகிறோம் என்று பார்க்காமலே சுடுகின்ற படைகள்தாம் நாட்டுக்கு வெற்றி தேடித் தந்திருக்கின்றன. அந்த நேரத்தில் படைகள் பகுத்தறிவை உபயோகிக்கத் தொடங்கினால்… பகுத்தறிவு மிஞ்சும்… நாடு மிஞ்சாது!

போரில் தயக்கம் காட்டிய அர்ஜுனனைப் பார்த்துக் கண்ணன் அதைத்தான் சொன்னான்.

“போர்’ என்று வந்த பின் உறவினர்கள் என்ற ஆராய்ச்சி வெற்றிக்கு உதவாது’ என்றான். கடைசியில் கண்ணன் மீது மூடநம்பிக்கை வைத்து அர்ஜுனன் காண்டீபத்தைத் தூக்கினான். முடிவு வெற்றியாகக் கனிந்தது.

கீதையில் கர்மயோகம் மானிடக் கடமைகளை வலியுறுத்துகிறது. பக்தியோகம், தியானத்தை வலியுறுத்துகிறது. கடமையும், நம்பிக்கையுடன் தான் நடைபெறுகிறது. தியானமும், நம்பிக்கையுடன் தான் நடைபெறுகிறது.

“மனம் உண்டானால் வழி உண்டு’ என்பது பெரியோர் வாக்கு. அது மானிட தர்மத்துக்கும் பொருந்தும். தியான தர்மத்துக்கும் பொருந்தும். ஆகவே, தெய்வ நம்பிக்கையை மூடநம்பிக்கை என்று சொல்வதைப் பற்றி நான் வருந்தவில்லை. இந்த மூடனும், அந்த அறிவாளியும் நம்மிடம் தான் வரப்போகிறார்கள்” என்ற நம்பிக்கை தெய்வத்துக்கு இருக்கிறதே! யார் என்ன செய்ய முடியும்?!

There are two very important statements in the Bhagavad Gita, which you must take to heart and profit from: Shraddhavan Labhate Jnanam (The one steady in faith gains wisdom and liberation) and Samshayaathma Vinashyathi (Doubt leads to perdition, spiritual ruin). Dwell on these axioms and practice the spiritual disciplines of repetition of the Lord’s name and meditation on His form. Gopis of Brindavan yearned for the Lord with purity in their hearts and attained union with Him. You too must fill your mind with His beautiful form and contemplate on the glory of the Lord. Then you can attain Divinity. This is the pursuit that is worthy, not the pursuit of fame, nor the friendship of the famous.

The Nokia brand name, one of the most storied marks in mobile, will never grace another smartphone.

Under the terms of Microsoft’s $7.2 billion acquisition of Nokia’s devices and services division, the “Asha” and “Lumia” trademarks will transfer to Redmond, but the “Nokia” mark will remain property of the Finnish company, and may only be used on featurephones running the basic Series 30 and Series 40 operating systems under a 10-year license agreement. (Nokia itself is barred from using the Nokia brand on any mobile devices at all until December 31st, 2015.) That means any future Windows Phones built by the newest division of Microsoft will be Microsoft-branded — and that Nokia has said its goodbyes to a smartphone market it once helped to create.

In the present times, it is impossible to find virtuous people or virtues holding sway over people’s minds. People have lost the fear of a fall and become worse than animals. During previous centuries, Rajput women immolated themselves rather than fall into the hands of wicked foes. When Hanuman offered to take Sita back to Rama, the virtue of Sita would not allow her to accept the offer. She said that it would best suit her husband’s fame if he himself avenges the wrong and rescues her. Hanuman’s taking her, would be a repetition of what Ravana did, for he too stole her secretly while Rama was away. She did not consider her immediate relief as more important than the implications of that step to her virtue and her husband’s fair name. It all lies in the vision that you command, that you have equipped yourselves with.
