12 Year Old Indian Girl Has Higher IQ Than Einstein !!!!

neha

A 12-year-old Indian-origin girl in UK has stunned everyone after she scored an incredible 162 on her IQ test – even higher than Einstein and Stephen Hawkin.

Neha Ramu, daughter of an Indian doctor couple, achieved a score of 162 on a Mensa IQ test – the highest score possible for her age.

The score puts her in the top one per cent of brightest people in the UK and means she is more intelligent than physicist Hawking, Microsoft founder Bill Gates and scientist Albert Einstein, who are all thought to have an IQ of 160.

“Neha scored 162 on the Cattell IIIB test, putting her within the top one per cent of people in the country,” a spokesman for British Mensa said.

Neha’s parents lived in India before moving to Britain when their daughter was seven, ‘The Telegraph’ reported.

Neha had always performed well at school, but it was only when she took an entrance exam for her school, achieving a perfect score of 280/280, that they realised her potential.

She took the test for Mensa, a society for people with high IQs, two years later, and achieved the maximum possible score for someone aged under 18.

“At first I did not really realise what she was capable of as she wasn’t being stretched at school and when she joined primary school in the UK. We didn’t really understand the system,” her mother Jayashree said.

“I am so proud of her. Although she’s being doing well at these kind of tests for sometime now. This is just marvellous.

I can’t express the feeling,” she said.

Neha plans to follow her parents’ footsteps into a career in medicine. She has already set her sight on a place at Harvard after taking her SATs – the American equivalent of A-levels – and achieved a score of 740 out of 800 in a test designed for 18-year-olds.

A devoted Harry Potter fan and keen swimmer, Neha admitted to have found the Mensa test “quite hard”.

“I’m really, really happy because I found the test quite hard and I wasn’t really holding out much hope that I’d be a member of Mensa,” she said.

“We might have a little party or something sometime soon to celebrate. I haven’t told my friends yet but I’ve told some of my family and they are all very happy for me,” said Neha.

Einstein never took an IQ test as none of the modern intelligence tests existed when he was alive, but experts believe he had an IQ of around 160.

Indian Wonder Boy Gets into MENSA With IQ 132…..At The Age Of 3 !!!

Bangalore: Arnav Dasyam is probably the youngest kid of Indian/South Asian descent to join the Mensa Club. Arnav, son of Anil and Navya Dasyam, an Indian couple and residents of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, U.S. has become a member of the Mensa club at the age of 3 years and 2 months, reported TNN.

Mensa is an international society for bright people, and its members require possessing a high IQ. Candidates for Mensa must attain a score at or above the 98th percentile on a standard test of intelligence.

Arnav learnt the English alphabets by the time he was 18 months and 10 months later he could easily read a story book. This wonder boy was solving a 68 piece world map puzzle at a very young age.

As per the Mensa International website there are about 1.1 lakh Mensans in over 40 countries on every continent except Antarctica. Further, there are 2 to 100-year-old Mensans, but the majority belong to the age group of 20 to 60.

Anil was quoted by TNN, saying, “When Arnav was 2 years and 10 months old, we had him tested by a certified school psychologist on October 23, 2012. Arnav was found to have an overall IQ of 132.”

Anil got Arnav’s IQ score in the second week of January this year and submitted it to Mensa International a week later. He added that “We got the acceptance letter in the first week of February, 2013. Arnav’s age then was 3 years and 2 months.”

Anil said “It was in the late summer/early fall of 2012 when I saw some news reports of young children in the age group 3-4 years getting into Mensa. A common theme in them was that the kids could read early. Since Arnav could read sentences even before turning 2 and half years, we felt he was special and could take a shot at Mensa. We then started exposing Arnav to things that other Mensa kids were doing and he was easily grasping everything,” as reported by TNN.

Anil moved to the U.S. a decade ago after he did his MBBS from Hyderabad, while his wife Navya too is a doctor. The couple also has a 9-month-old son Nirmay. Anil talking of Arnav’s future, said “We have no fixed professions. We will ensure that he works hard to achieve what he wants to become.”

Message For The Day…. Pilgrimage Should Strengthen Your Spiritual Inclination….

When on a pilgrimage, without adequate mental preparation, you may not be able to receive the Grace of God! During pilgrimage, do not act like a postal parcel, which moves from place to place, collecting impressions on the outer wrapper, but not on the core being. Your purpose for a pilgrimage is to strengthen your spiritual inclinations and let the holiness of the place settle in your mind. As a result, your habits must change for the better and your outlook must widen. Your inward vision must become deeper and steadier. You must realize the Omnipresence of God and the oneness of Humanity. You must learn tolerance, patience, charity and service. After the pilgrimage is over, sitting in your own home and ruminating over your experiences you must determine to seek. Aspire to get higher, richer and more real experience of God realization.

Why Do The Rich Get Richer !!!!!

You often hear the saying ‘The Rich are getting Richer….’ have you wondered why?

Five main reasons:

a. The power of compounding
b. Income far, far greater than expenditure
c. Understanding the Wealth Virtuous Cycle
d. Ability to take risk
e. Deep wealth buckets ensuring no asset class is ever reduced to zero

In the real world the word Rich and wealthy are used interchangeably, so in that context I will use the word rich here to mean and include the wealthy too.

a. The power of compounding: When the real rich invest they can let each asset class compound
without touching them for real long periods of time. If you had invested Rs 100 in the Sensex in 1979 it would be worth about Rs 20,000 today – 200 times in 33 years – amazing by any standards. However, if you were not really wealthy all the gyrations in the Sensex would have worried/bothered / scared you. That may have sent you running to the broker to liquidate. However, if you were really rich you could have invested a portion of your assets and seen a fantastic growth in that part of the portfolio.

b. When a person (family) is really wealthy the income has no connection at all with the expenditure. You just operate like 2 different machines – one wealth creating machine and one spending machine. It helps that your income is say 10 times of your expense. So an increase or decrease (inflation) does not have any impact at all on your life style. Since you are saving/investing a big surplus of your income, you are able to compound faster too.

c. Understanding the wealth virtuous cycle – protecting the wealth (insurance), managing it well (when you have a net worth of say Rs. 100 crores you can afford a Family Office to look after the family wealth) , and learning to live sensibly are all part of the wealth cycle.

d. When you have a lot of money in different baskets you can take a chance with each basket. I know of a top industrialist who used to use his personal money for lending to movie making. Movie funding is a one or all kinda game – you can get 100% p.a. return or be wiped out. You also need to fund in multiples of Rs 10 crores – thus keeping the retail guys out. Such opportunities are not even available for the common man! Similarly I know of one person who bought 1 lakh shares of Infosys at Rs. 90 (discount at the time of issue, remember it devolved!!). He was holding till the listing of TCS and at that stage sold off. Only because he had (has) a networth in excess of 3 digit crores, he could hold on without getting excited about the prices. For a person with lesser networth there would have been a great pressure to ‘book’ profits.
Take the case of a boy earning Rs. 12 Lakhs at age 28 – on this salary is it possible to commit to a Rs. 35000 EMI for a house? Hardly. It is almost impossible. However, when the father has a huge networth it is possible to do so. I know of a father who has told his son ‘the month you CANNOT pay the installment, I will. Thus the son has a FREE risk transfer mechanism – if he were to lose his job, his DAD is the safety net!

e. If you have say a big portion of your money in equities, technically it is possible that you panicked and sold off EVERYTHING in 2008. This would have meant that in 2009 when the market revived YOU would have had nothing in equities – thus the fantastic growth of 90% would have been missed. You would be kicking yourself, right? So now when you hear the Rich get Richer….you know it is not emotional, it is mathematical!

Success is A State of Mind !!!!!

An Incredible poem about success…..

This has been taken from a book that was originally published in 1926…YES 1926!!!!

“If you think you are beaten, you are;

If you think you dare not, you don’t;

If you’d like to win, but you think you can’t;

It’s almost a cinch you won’t;

If you think you’ll lose, you’ve lost,

For out in the world you’ll find,

Success begins with a fellow’s will,

It’s all in the state of mind.

Full many a race is lost,

Before even a race is run,

And many a cowards fail,

Before even his work’s begun.

Think big, and your deeds will grow,

Think small and you fall behind,

Think that you can, and you will,

It’s all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are,

You’ve got to think high to rise,

You’ve got to be sure of yourself before,

You can ever win a prize.

Life’s battle doesn’t always go,

To the stronger or faster man,

But sooner or later, the man who wins,

Is the fellow who thinks he can.”

Now if you can image that this kind of positive mind mentality was around in the late 1920’s, Just imagine what is possible for you Now!

Air Koryo….North Korea”s One Star Airline !!!

Not many Westerners get to visit North Korea, and it’s a good bet most don’t realize the secluded country has its own airline.

The airline, Air Koryo, is the only airline in the world deemed bad enough to earn a 1-star rating from leading airline reviewer SkyTrax.

Why? Customers cited the strange experience on the flights, which include cordial but distant attendants, propaganda newspapers and state-approved music. There’s also the food, which looks nearly inedible.

Nonetheless, the airline hasn’t had any safety problems in years, and it functions quite well. While it is banned from flying in European Union air space, Air Koryo has regular international flights to Moscow, Vladivostok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and even Kuwait, according to the International Business Times.

And for tourists heading into the country to see it with their own eyes, Air Koryo is one of the few airlines that actually goes to Pyongyang. Its fleet of Russian-made planes fly out of Sunan International Airport in Pyongyang.

Mark F., a biomedical engineer from Australia, flew to Pyongyang on the notorious airline in August 2011 and put up some pictures on Flickr. Here’s what he, and a few others who decided to whip out their cameras while on other flights into the closed nation, saw on their trips.

This is an Air Koryo Ilyushin Il-62 P-885, a version of the Il-62 that was originally designed in the 1960s.

” Why Suffer When I am Here ?”….

Shri Shankaranarayanan, a devotee used to have dharshan of Periyava, as he is a staunch follower. He got affected by a strange but, high fever, which affected him once in 10,15 days. Since this had become a routine, he tried all sort of medicines and advices from various doctors. Nevertheless, his hopes and untiring efforts to overcome the fever remained. The man came to a conclusion that treatment given by doctors would no more be a remedy and there is only one last resort, none other than the guru.

One fine morning, he visited the Sri Mutt and had dharshan. Periyava asked, “ippa than varaya”

‘Yes Periyava’

“Have you heard about Jwarahareswara temple in Kanchi? Have you been there before?

‘No Periyava’

“Today is a Sunday in Karthikai masam. Come, we shall see Jwarahareswara and Surya Baghavan” said Periyava and walked down.

Shankaranarayanan followed Periyava like a calf to a cow.

By the time they reached there, the priest had left already and in spite of it, HE made him have dharshan.

“Do you have some money?”

‘No Periyava… I just left my purse at mutt itself…’

“Ok… Do one thing… Go to that mandapam and get some yachakam from people who are there…”

Shankaranarayanan managed to get 10,15 rupees in a few minutes.

“There is a plate in front of Swami Sannadhi… Go and offer some and drop some money in hundi too…”

“Good… Let us go to Kachchapeswarar temple from here… As today is a Sunday in Karthikai, celebrations are happening there.”

You know, arogyam baskaradhichcheth (let body be healthy with the grace of Surya)…

Periyava, after having dharshan at Sannandhi and seeing Surya Baghavan, came to the mandapam and called some vedhic scholars and asked them to sing Surya sadhagam and explained.

He said to Shankaranarayanan, “Ok time is up…. You can go and eat and start to your place”.

Though Shankaranarayanan was happy about the visit to temples along with Periyava, he was feeling sad for not telling his health condition to HIM. He left the place sadly and realised later on, that the fever had left too and never dared to strike again!
