ஆர்.பாலசுப்பிரமணியம்

தனது 100-வது வயதிலும், பார்வைக் குறைபாடு இல்லாமல் நாளிதழை, முதல் பக்கத்திலிருந்து கடைசி பக்கம் வரை படிப்பதை வழக்கமாகக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார் கோவையைச் சேர்ந்த தபால் தாத்தா. இந்த வயதிலும், அசாதாரண விஷயங்களையும் சாதாரணமாகச் செய்து வருகிறார்.

கோவை கவுண்டம்பாளையம் பேங்கோதெருவைச் சேர்ந்தவர் ஆர்.பாலசுப்ரமணியம். தபால் அலுவலராகப் பணியாற்றி ஓய்வு பெற்றதால், தபால் தாத்தா என்றுதான் செல்லமாக அழைக்கப்படுகிறார்.

துருதுரு பார்வை

கடந்த 1914-ஆம் ஆண்டு, நவம்பர் 29-ஆம் தேதி பிறந்த இவர் இன்று 100-ஆவது ஆண்டில் அடியெடுத்து வைக்கிறார். 100-வயது என்றால், படுத்தப் படுக்கை, வீட்டில் உள்ளவர்களை எடுத்ததெற்கெல்லாம் உதவிக்கு அழைத்து அன்பு தொல்லை கொடுப்பார் என நினைக்க வேண்டாம். வீட்டில் உள்ளவர்களைச் சிரமப்படுத்தாமல், உற்சாகத்தோடு இளைஞரைப் போல வீட்டில் வலம் வருகிறார்.

இந்து நாளிதழ் மோகம்

சென்னை அண்ணா சாலையில் உள்ள தபால் நிலையத்தில், தபால்காரராகச் சேர்ந்து கோவை ஆர்.எஸ்.புரம் தபால் நிலையத்தில் தபால் அலுவலராக, கடந்த 1973-ம் ஆண்டு 38 ஆண்டு தபால் பணி வாழ்க்கைக்கு விடைகொடுத்தவர். 10-ஆம் வயது முடிவதற்குள் கண்ணாடியுடன் வலம் வரும் சிறுவர்கள் மத்தியில், 100 வயதிலும் தபால் தாத்தா, கண்ணாடி அணியவில்லை. ஆனால், தினமும் வீட்டிற்கு வரும், ‘தி இந்து’ ஆங்கில நாளிதழை முதல் பக்கத்தில் இருந்து, கடைசி பக்கம் வரை உள்ள செய்திகளை முழுவதுமாகப் படிப்பதுதான் இவரது தினசரிப் பொழுதுபோக்கு..

கவலை இல்லாத மனிதர்

100 வயதில் இளமை ததும்பும் ரகசியத்தை, அவரது மூத்த மகன் ஜனார்த்தனனிடம் கேட்டபோது, ’’எதைப் பற்றியும் கவலைப்பட மாட்டார். சாப்பாட்டு விஷயத்தில் அனைத்தையும் விரும்பி சாப்பிடுவார். தற்போதுகூட, வாரம் இருமுறை சிக்கன் சாப்பிடுகிறார். முட்டை, இனிப்பு என்றால் இப்போது கூடக் கொள்ளை பிரியம். நேரத்துக்குச் சாப்பிட்டு, நேரத்துக்குத் தூங்குவார். பிரத்தியேகமாக உடற்பயிற்சி எதுவும் செய்வதில்லை. 85 வயது வரையிலும் எங்குச் சென்றாலும் சைக்கிளில்தான் செல்வார்’’ என்றார்.

தபால் தாத்தாவிற்கு 3 மகன்கள். கொள்ளுப் பேரன் பேத்தி என்று சுற்றிலும் பலர் இருந்தாலும் அவர் விரும்புவது தனிமையைத்தான். முதுமையின் நண்பன் தனிமை என்பதை உணர்த்தும் விதமாக, நாம் கிளம்புவதற்கு விடை கொடுத்துவிட்டு, எதையோ சிந்திக்கத் தொடங்கிவிட்டார். அவருக்கு நூறாவது பிறந்த நாள் வாழ்த்து கூறிவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டோம்.

“இந்த எறும்புகளை ஒதறி விட்டா …அது நியாயமா?… சொல்லுங்கோ” !!!

பெரியவாளோட வலதுகாலில் எப்படியோ சின்னக் காயம் உண்டாகி லேசான ரத்தக் கசிவு இருந்தது. அதில் ஒரு சொட்டு ரத்தம் மாதுளைமுத்துப் போல் இருந்தது.

பெரியவாளோ அதைப் பற்றிய சிந்தனையே இல்லாமல், சுற்றி இருந்தவர்களிடம் பேசிக் கொண்டிருந்தார்.

ஒரு எறும்பு வந்தது. அந்த காயத்தின் மேல் ஊர்ந்தது. உடனே சங்கேத பாஷை மூலம் செய்தி அனுப்பி, கொஞ்ச நேரத்தில் ஒரு படையே சொந்த பந்தங்களோடு பெரியவாளுடைய சரணத்தில் இருந்த ரத்தக் கசிவை சுவை பார்த்தன.

“எறும்புகளை தட்டி விடுங்கோ பெரியவா” என்று சொல்ல முடியுமா? சுற்றி இருந்த சிஷ்யர்களுக்கோ ஒரே அவஸ்தை!

அப்போது பெரியவாளிடம் கொஞ்சம் உரிமை எடுத்துக் கொண்டு பேசக் கூடிய ஒரு பக்தர் வந்தார். உடனே அவரிடம் ரகசியமாக எறும்பைக் காட்டினார்கள் சிஷ்யர்கள்.

“பெரியவா கால்ல எறும்பு மொய்க்கறதே?” என்று பணிவோடு கூறினார் பக்தர்.

ஒரு செகண்ட் அருள் நிறைந்த பார்வை பார்த்தார் பெரியவா. “விபீஷணன் ராமசந்த்ரமூர்த்தியை சரணாகதி பண்ணினான்ன்னு படிக்கறோம். வாயால “சரணாகதி” ன்னு சொன்னான். ஆனா, ராமனோட பாதங்களை இறுகக் கட்டிக்கலை. அப்பிடியிருந்தும் ராமன் ரொம்ப இறக்கப்பட்டு, விபீஷணனுக்கு அடைக்கலம் குடுத்தான்.”

“இப்போ இந்த ராமாயணம் எதுக்கு?” சிஷ்யர்களின் சந்தேகத்துக்கு விளக்கம் வந்தது.

“இந்த எறும்புகளோ, என் காலையே கெட்டியாப் பிடிச்சிண்டிருக்கு! அதுகள் என்ன சொல்லறதுன்னு கேக்காம, ஒதறி விட்டா, அது ஞாயமா? சொல்லுங்கோ” – ராமனை விட பலபடிகள் உயர்ந்து நின்றார் பெரியவா!

“உடல் வேறு ஆன்மா வேறு” என்பதை கண்கூடாக சிஷ்யர்களுக்கு நிரூபித்தார்.

ரத்த சுவைக்காக அவை அவருடைய பாதங்களில் ஊர்ந்ததையே ஒரு வ்யாஜமாகக் கொண்டு, “சரணாகதி” என்று ஏற்றுக் கொண்ட கருணை பெரியவாளைத் தவிர யாருக்கு வரும்?

நம் மேல் ஒரு எறும்பு ஊறினால் கூட, அடுத்த செகண்ட் அது உருத் தெரியாமல் நசுங்கி விடும்.

நமக்கும் நல்லறிவை தர பெரியவாளிடம் பிரார்த்தனை செய்வோம்.

Message For the Day…” Have Tolerance and Patience with Mutual Helping Attitude “..

Spiritual Practice (Sadhana) must be done in a disciplined and systematic manner, in an atmosphere filled with virtues. Just as fans in a large hall cool the atmosphere and provide soothing breeze to the people gathered there, so too, the fans of Truth, Right Conduct, Peace and Love (Sathya, Dharma, Shanthi,and Prema) are necessary to reduce the sweltering heat of ignorance, falsehood, injustice and indiscipline (Ajnaana, Asathya, Anyaaya and Akrama). In a world where noble conduct is being insulted and denied at every turn, peace and tolerance are the only means through which you can save yourself. This is the most important aspect that I ask you to cultivate. In every act, have tolerance and patience with a mutual helping attitude. In the family, cultivate patience and mutual respect; in the community, have righteousness and justice.

Message For The Day….”Who am I ? Where Have I come from ?…”

There are four questions that every person must interest oneself with : “Who am I?”, ”Where have I come from?”, “Where am I going?” and “How long will I remain here?”. These questions have been answered clearly in the Vedas. All spiritual inquiry begins with these questions and attempts to find answers to them. If you drop a letter in the post box without writing the ‘From’ or ‘To’ address, it will go nowhere but to the ‘dead letter office’. In fact it is a waste of time writing that letter, is it not? So too, if you do not know the purpose of your life in this world, you will get caught in the cycle of birth and death, and will never reach your destination. To find answers to these key questions, you must begin enquiry about the Self. To get the answers, you must practice spiritual discipline. Then, you will find that the answers become part of your daily living experiences!

” You Can Never ask anyone For Attention or Love ” ….

May Sai give us the wisdom to control our anger , our words , our tone and most importantly understand that arguments can never ever solve any problem. Conflicts can never bring Peace between two people . You can never ask anyone for attention or love- You can only give all the love, the attention , the care , the understanding that you desire in order to receive it from your loved one but have patience to accept that what ever is yours will always remain yours as long as you learn to give and expect less..
