World”s Toughest Job… Are You Qualified ? …

Consider this: you are at a job interview, all suited up, ready to brave the toughest questions the interviewer throws at you. Now imagine being told that the job you applied for is “the most important job.” Are you ready for this?

And are you ready for the job requirements? The person in charge would not only need to think on their feet but also be on their feet constantly; 24 hours a day, seven days a week. And there are no breaks available.

Along with excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, the candidate must also have expertise in medicine, finance and culinary arts.

No holidays, extra work on occasions and staying up late with the associate are just some more necessities. “If you had a life, we would ask you to give that up,” says the interviewer.

And here’s the big one; the candidate must do this with a happy disposition and no salary. That’s right. You don’t get paid for this job.

“That’s almost cruel. Like a sick, twisted joke,” says one of the 24 candidates who applied for the job and were interviewed via recorded video chat. “That’s inhumane,” says another. “Nobody’s doing that for free,” says a third.

And that is when the assessor tells them that billions of people already hold this position, described as ‘Director of Operations.’

You’re in for a shock with this one. Are you ready to meet the person doing the world’s toughest job?

Message For the Day…”Understand the Value of Discipline and Adhere to it…”

Say you are expecting a train, a public transport that is supposed to arrive at 5 o’ clock. It is delayed by a few hours and doesn’t turn up until 8 or 9 p.m. How would you feel then? You first start to complain that the schedules of the trains and buses have no discipline and they don’t turn up on time. Then you start abusing the driver, the department, the government, and talk about it for a couple of days. When you complain so much about a delayed train or a bus which has no life, do you expect the world not abuse you, a conscious individual, when you do not adhere to your discipline, code of conduct and duty? All of you must understand the value of discipline and adhere to it consistently, and pass the test of discipline.

” Your Biggest Weakness May Be Your Ultimate Strength … ” !!!

Lessons from a Japanese story

A 15 year old boy decided to study judo despite the fact that he had lost his left arm in a devastating car accident.

The boy began lessons with an old Japanese judo master. The boy was doing well, so he couldn’t understand why, after three months of training the master had taught him only one move.

“Sensei,”(Teacher in Japanese) the boy finally said, “Shouldn’t I be learning more moves?” “This is the only move you’ll ever need to know,” the sensei replied.

Not quite understanding, but fully believing in his teacher, the boy kept training. Several months later, the sensei took the boy to his first tournament.

Surprising himself, the boy easily won his first two matches. The third match proved to be more difficult, but after some time, his opponent became impatient and charged; the boy deftly used his one move to win the match. Still amazed by his success, the boy was now in the finals.

This time, his opponent was bigger, stronger, and more experienced. For a while, the boy appeared to be overmatched. Concerned that the boy might get hurt, the referee called a time-out.

He was about to stop the match when the sensei intervened. “No,” the sensei insisted, “Let him continue.” Soon after the match resumed, his opponent made a critical mistake: he dropped his guard. Instantly, the boy used his move to pin him. The boy had won the match and the tournament.

On the way home, the boy and sensei reviewed every move in each and every match. Then the boy summoned the courage to ask what was really on his mind.

“Sensei, how did I win the tournament with only one move?”

“You won for two reasons,” the sensei answered. “First, you’ve almost mastered one of the most difficult throws in all of judo. And second, the only known defense for that move is for your opponent to grab your left arm.”

The boy’s biggest weakness had become his biggest strength…

Sometimes we feel that we have certain weaknesses and we blame our circumstances or ourselves for it but we never know that our weaknesses can become our strengths one day.

“Each of us is special and important, so never think you have any weakness, never think of pride or pain, just live your life to its fullest and extract the best out of it!”

Cassette Tapes are Back ?…. SONY Says “Yes” !!!

The cassette tape has long been irrelevant in the consumer market, with the technology hanging on only in a few isolated hipster music circles. In storage media industry, however, cassettes have never really gone out of style. Magnetic tape is still one of the most reliable ways to archive large amounts of data, and the technology is still improving.

Sony has announced that its new magnetic tape technology is designed to store more information on a single cassette than ever before. According to the company, the new technology has a “nano-grained magnetic layer with fine magnetic particles and uniform crystalline orientation.” What this means is a new cassette that can store more than 185TB of data on a single cartridge with a recording density of 148GB per square inch. This is, according to Sony, 74 times the amount of data that can be stored on the current highest-density magnetic tape storage cassettes.

Sony officially announced its new magnetic tape tech earlier this week at the INTERMAG conference in Dresden, Germany. The announcement was made in conjunction with IBM, which measured the recording density of the new media for Sony.

Sony is calling its new magnetic tape the “next generation” of tape storage media. The product was created by placing uniform layers of crystals on polymer film thinner than 5 micrometers. This was accomplished using a technique called “sputter deposition” and optimizing the technique to provide smooth layers of crystals that are uniform in size. The average thickness of each of these layers is 7.7 nanometers.

Sony is betting that its new storage technology will be sorely needed in the growing age of cloud computing. Though end users can interact with cloud data in the magical-sounding way the marketing hype suggests, the companies behind these cloud products actually have to store many terabytes of data. With data storage facilities quickly growing, any chance to save space through greater storage density is likely to be popular with large data storage businesses.

Cute Little Humming Bird …In a Safe and Kind Hand !!!

This little hummingbird got injured by an attack and was rescued by this young man, who also took care of her and nursed her back to health for months, even catching insects for it to eat every day.

He tells: “When she thought she was ready to leave (and she was) she flew off to her favorite patch of the back yard, and her instincts instantly kicked in, and now she’s just like all the other hummingbirds. for those that are concerned that she has imprinted on humans and wouldn’t survive in the wild, don’t worry, she is thriving. she has even successfully migrated and returned back to my yard.

We must applaud his patience and kindness, and get inspired ourselves, to save and help any creature we can.

Message For the Day…” Offer Your Egoistic Pride as Sacrifice @ the Altar of the Divine …”

Dedication means offering to the Divine. When you offer flowers to God along with your salutation, it symbolizes offering of the flower of your heart. The flower of the heart is usually subjected to infestation by two evil creatures; they are Ego (Ahamkar) and Jealousy (Asuya). Ego is hard to conquer and arises from seven factors – Wealth, Physical Prowess, Birth, Scholarship, Beauty, Power and Penance. As long as Ahamkara is predominant, it is impossible to recognize the Divinity within. Ego is a great barrier between the individual and God, and must be totally demolished. All forms of pride (particularly that of wealth, scholarship and power) cause human failings and downfall, and hence must be given up totally. Only when egoistic pride is offered as a sacrifice at the altar of the Divine, you can discover your true divine nature.

Popular Food Myths… Dispelled !!!

When it comes to food, health and nutrition, there are many myths out there. Some were put out there on purpose to sell you more products, some are just misconceptions that have thrived over the years because, on the surface of it, they sound logical. So let’s set a few things straight:
1. Swimming with a full stomach is deadly dangerous.

You may weigh a bit more with the food in you, but you won’t drown, as long as you’re swimming for fun. If you are competing, it may cause some cramping. However, drinking is a very bad idea, as a 1990 study of hundreds of drowning deaths found that 41% were alcohol related.

2. Eating raw food is healthier than eating food that has been heated up

This one is both right and wrong. It’s true that raw fruit and raw vegetables have more nutritional value than heated. However, not everything is safe to consume raw. For example, raw bens and eggplants may contain toxic materials that evaporate when heated.
So make sure you know for sure that what you are eating raw isn’t actually poisonous if not cooked.
3. If you want your eye sight to get much better, eat carrots for their vitamin A.

Not quite. Carrots don’t contain vitamin A, they contain beta carotene, which the body may convert to vitamin A. But eating a lot of carrots does not significantly help your eye sight, and beta crotene can be found in lots of yellowish, orange and dark green fruits and vegetables.

4. Whole milk is more nutritious than is skimmed milk.

Skimmed milk is the healthiest milk. Its fat content is below 0.5% while whole milk has a fat content of over 3.25%. It has all the same nutritional values of whole milk, with the exception of vitamin A, which your body usually has a great supply of. If you want to watch your weight, drink skimmed milk.
5. Health food is too expensive.

Doesn’t have to be.
Time + Process effort = cost.
Fruits and vegetables aren’t usually very pricey, but here are some ideas to save you on expenses. Grains with long shelf life can be a great investment in your health. Grains like oats, lentils, chickpeas, and brown rice. If you’re buying meat, don’t buy lean cuts but the whole chicken, it’ll be cheaper to just remove the bones and skin yourselves.
Same with beef and just trim the fat yourselves, portion and freeze it. It’s not much work and will save you good money.

6. Product titles that contain the words ‘Low Fat’ or ‘Reduced Fat’ are better than those that don’t.

Remember that energy = calories.
The fat that is stored in our body is actually untapped energy. This energy doesn’t just come from fat, it comes from carbohydrates and proteins as well. So just because a product says low fat doesn’t mean it’s low on the amount of energy it will store in your body, which will be converted to… you guessed it, fat.
7. It’s better to just eat all vegetarian foods.

Not necessarily.
There are many processed foods that have very little nutritional value. However, lean red meat is low in fat, so is skinless chicken and fish, when they are cooked without the skin and not in oil.

8. Food coloring is harmful to the body

By food coloring, we mean any pigment, dye or any other substance that adds color to food. They are used for many reasons, but after many studies have been held, decades ago, they were pronounced completely safe.
9. Additives and preservatives are unhealthy to eat

Additives are added to food to keep it stable, safe and to slow down it being spoiled so there is no foodborne disease. This is mainly used in foods like cheese or wine using harmless bacteria or yeasys.
Some foods, like ham and bacon, are only safe to eat after preservatives have been used. Ice cream tastes as good as it does due to additives. There is no health risk, and actually most foods look and taste better when these are applied.

10. Eating after certain hours makes you fat
Many believe that eating after 7 pm will help make you gain weight. The truth is, it’s not when you eat, it’s WHAT you eat. Most people snack after these hours, more than any other time of day. The important thing is to eat at fixed, regular times, at least 2-3 hours before bedtime.
11. Eating big, full meals 3 times a day is better than eating smaller, frequent meals.

Wrong. Imagine the food you eat as filling a glass. When you eat small meals frequently, the water is consumed whenever you need it. But when you eat only a few large meals a day, you tend to eat more than you need at that point in time, meaning the water fills up the glass and drips off – straight to your fat reserves.
food myths
So eat when you feel hungry, just make sure you eat enough to feel full, no more than that, and slowly enough so that your body has time to register how much you are eating and alert you (with stomach aches) if you eat too much.
