” Thank Baba For all HIS Blessings and Grace “…

Truly, Sai has been there for us in every path of our life . He has protected us and taken care of us no matter where we are.. He has shown us the light and guided us thru our own heart and our conscious. His Leelas surprise me every single day and still I long to witness them with every breadth I take because I know, its his leelas alone which have assured me that He is not up there but He is always walking right besides His devotees. He knows their pain and sorrows and does everything possible to turn their tears in to smiles. I am sure that even if I Thank him in all my lives to come- still I will not be able to offer my complete gratitude towards him for all his blessings and grace. And regardless of that,  I  Thank Baba for making me feel His presence in my life..

May the Merciful Sri Sai Baba always shower His grace on us and our families and remove our problems and anxieties by giving us all – strength , goodluck, success and happiness with peace of mind.

Message For the Day…” If Your Tongue slips , You fracture someone’s Faith or Joy”…

The tongue is the armour of the heart, it even guards your life. Loud talks, long talk, wild talk, talk full of anger and hate – all these affect your health. They breed anger and hatred in others; they wound, they excite, they enrage, and they estrange. Why is silence said to be golden? The silent person has no enemies, though he or she may not have friends. They have the leisure and the chance to dive within them and examine their own faults and failings. They no more have inclination to seek them in others. If your foot slips, you suffer a fracture; if your tongue slips, you fracture someone’s faith or joy. That fracture can never be set right; that wound will fester forever. Therefore use the tongue with great care. The softer you talk, the less you talk, the more sweetly you talk, the better for you and the world.

“They are No more Strangers in our Life Now “!!!

natarajan

A while ago, my Dad met a stranger who was new to our small town.  From the beginning, Dad was fascinated with this enchanting newcomer and soon invited him to live with our family.  The stranger was quickly accepted and was around from then on.

As I grew up, I never questioned his place in my family.  In my young mind, he had a special niche.  My parents were complementary instructors: Mom taught me good from evil, and Dad taught me to obey.  But the stranger … he was our story teller.  He would keep us spellbound for hours on end with adventures, mysteries and comedies.

If I wanted to know anything about politics, history or science, he always knew the answers about the past, understood the present and even seemed able to predict the future!  He took my family to the first major league ball game.  He made me laugh, and he made me cry.  The stranger never stopped talking, but Dad didn’t seem to mind.

Sometimes, Mom would get up quietly while the rest of us were shushing each other to listen to what he had to say, and she would go to the kitchen for peace and quiet. (I wonder now if she ever prayed for the stranger to leave.)

Dad ruled our household with certain moral convictions, but the stranger never felt obligated to honour them.  Profanity, for example, was not allowed in our home… Not from us, our friends or any visitors.  Our longtime visitor, however, got away with four-letter words that burned my ears and made my dad squirm and my mother blush.  My Dad didn’t permit the liberal use of alcohol.  But the stranger encouraged us to try it on a regular basis.  He made cigarettes look cool, cigars manly and pipes distinguished.  He talked freely (much too freely!) about sex.  His comments were sometimes blatant, sometimes suggestive, and generally embarrassing.

I now know that my early concepts about relationships were influenced strongly by the stranger.  Time after time, he opposed the values of my parents, yet he was seldom rebuked… And NEVER asked to leave.

More than fifty years have passed since the stranger moved in with our family.  He has blended right in and is not nearly as fascinating as he was at first.  Still, if you could walk into my parents’ den today, you would still find him sitting over in his corner, waiting for someone to listen to him talk and watch him draw his pictures.

His name ?…. .. .

We just call him ‘TV.’

(Note: This should be required reading for every household!)

He has a wife now …. We call her ‘Computer.’

Their first child is “Cell Phone”.

Second child “iPad” !!!

A satellite view of Mount Everest   Image credit: NASA

There are 14 mountain peaks on Earth that stand taller than 8,000 meters (26,247 feet). The tallest of these so-called “eight-thousanders” is Mount Everest, on the border between Tibet and Nepal in the Himalayan Mountains. The Nepalese name for the mountain is Sagarmatha, which means “mother of the universe.”

Above is  the satellite view of Everest from NASA’s Earth Observatory. It looks majestic even from high above!

Joke For the Day !!!…” You Get one wish only ” !!!

A man was walking along a California beach and stumbled across an old lamp. He picked it up and rubbed it and out popped a genie. The genie said, “OK. You released me from the lamp, blah blah blah. This is the fourth time this month and I’m getting a little sick of these wishes so you can forget about three. You only get one wish!” The man sat and thought about it for a while and said, “I’ve always wanted to go to Hawaii but I’m scared to fly and I get very seasick. Could you build me a bridge to Hawaii so I can drive over there to visit?” The genie laughed and said, “That’s impossible. Think of the logistics of that! How would the supports ever reach the bottom of the Pacific? Think of how much concrete…how much steel!! No, think of another

wish.” The man said OK and tried to think of a really good wish. Finally, he said, “I’ve been married and divorced four times. My wives always said that I don’t care and that I’m insensitive. So, I wish that I could understand women….know how they feel inside and what they’re thinking when they give me the silent treatment….know why they’re crying, know what they really want when they say ‘nothing’….know how to make them truly happy….”

The genie asked, “Do you want that bridge two lanes or four?”

Look at the Mother Nature !!!….It is Simply Amazing !!!

From a distance it’s quite hard to know what you’re seeing here, but as you look closer and closer you’ll see just how amazing mother nature can be.

The chicks take between 10 to 13 months to raise, and seeing how they cannot regulate their body temperature very well the parents have to care for them round the clock for the first three weeks. After that initial period they put the chicks into one of these “day care” creches, returning only every two or three days with food for their young.

All these pictures were taken at the shoreline of the southern Atlantic Ocean island of South Georgia, which is a British territory close to the Falklands. It’s one of the main breeding colonies for King Penguins.

Message For the Day ….”Peace is Not External…It is Present Within “…

The flower of forbearance (kshama) is very dear to the Lord. The Pandavas suffered a lot at the hands of the Kauravas. But it was the virtue of forbearance that protected the Pandavas and made them an ideal to the rest of the world. The other flower that we must offer to God is Shanti (peace). One should remain peaceful through all the vicissitudes of life. Only then can one attain divine grace. Peace is needed at the physical, mental and spiritual levels. Peace is not external, it is present within. You are the embodiment of peace. In the worldly life, there are bound to be many hardships, but one should not be perturbed. One should bear all sufferings with fortitude and patience. Human life is given not merely to enjoy the worldly pleasures. Life becomes meaningful only when one experiences the peace that originates from the heart.

Joke of The Day !!!..” You Are Our Staff Today “….!!!

One day while walking down the street a highly successful HR Director
was tragically hit by a bus and she died. Her soul arrived up in heaven
where she was met at the Pearly Gates by St. Peter himself.

“Welcome to Heaven,” said St. Peter. “Before you get settled in though,
it seems we have a problem. You see, strangely enough, we’ve never once
had a Human Resources Director make it this far and we’re not really
sure what to do with you.”

“No problem, just let me in,” said the woman. “Well, I’d like to,”
replied St. Peter, “but I have higher orders. What we’re going to do is
let you have a day in Hell and a day in Heaven and then you can choose
whichever one you want to spend an eternity in.”

“Actually, I think I’ve made up my mind, I prefer to stay in Heaven,”
said the woman.

“Sorry, we have rules…” And with that St. Peter put the executive in
an elevator and it went down-down-down to hell. The doors opened and she
found herself stepping out onto the putting green of a beautiful golf
course. In the distance was a country club and standing in front of her
were all her friends – fellow executives that she had worked with and
they were all dressed in evening gowns and cheering for her. They ran up
and kissed her on both cheeks and they talked about old times. They
played an excellent round of golf and at night went to the country club
where she enjoyed an excellent steak and lobster dinner. She met the
Devil who was actually a really nice guy (kinda cute) and she had a
great time telling jokes and dancing. She was having such a good time
that before she knew it, it was time to leave. Everybody shook her hand
and waved good-bye as she got on the elevator. The elevator went
up-up-up and opened back up at the Pearly Gates and she found St. Peter
waiting for her.

“Now it’s time to spend a day in heaven,” he said. So she spent the next
24 hours lounging around on clouds and playing the harp and singing. She
had a great time and before she knew it her 24 hours were up and St.
Peter came and got her. “So, you’ve spent a day in hell and you’ve spent
a day in heaven. Now you must choose your eternity,” he said. The woman
paused for a second and then replied, “Well, I never thought I’d say
this, I mean, Heaven has been really great and all, but I think I had a
better time in Hell.” So St. Peter escorted her to the elevator and
again she went down-down-down back to Hell.

When the doors of the elevator opened she found herself standing in a
desolate wasteland covered in garbage and filth. She saw her friends
were dressed in rags and were picking up the garbage and putting it in
sacks. The Devil came up to her and put his arm around her.

“I don’t understand,” stammered the woman, “yesterday I was here and
there was a golf course and a country club and we ate lobster and we
danced and had a great time. Now all there is, is a wasteland of garbage
and all my friends look miserable.”

The Devil looked at her and smiled. “Yesterday we were recruiting you,
today you’re staff…”

What is The Story Behind This Photograph ?

image

PHOTOGRAPH BY SUBHASISH KARMAKAR  …India
Subhasish Karmakar’s painting-like photo has lots of elements that contribute to its interesting composition. What’s going on in the photo and why is it one of his favorites?

Q: What’s the story behind this photo?

A: The young boy in the photograph is my then two-year-old son. In July 2012, we went for a family adventure trip to Lahaul and Spiti Valley, which is in the remote areas of Himachal Pradesh, India. My wife, my daughter, and my son accompanied me.

This photograph was taken on our way to Dhankar Monastry. I was walking back to the car after taking a few photographs of the local people. My two-year-old son suddenly peeped through the car window to call me. The reflection of the surrounding mountains and the cloud and my wife’s shawl hung to protect the sunlight, superimposed with the innocent face, created a very surreal, painting-like impression on the glass. I took three to four shots; this, in my opinion, came out the best.

Q: What do you like to take pictures of and why?

A: The interrelationships between human beings and nature or the environment in which they live have always fascinated me as a person, and this has been the subject of most of my photographs. Nothing gives me more pleasure than capturing human emotions and how those emotions subtly change depending on the environment or the context.
