Every one of you has in possession a ticket for liberation from the cycle of birth and death. But most do not know the train that has to be boarded; many get down at intermediate stations, imagining them to be the terminus and wander helplessly in the wilderness, or are carried away by sights and scenes. Until the wound heals, and the new skin is formed and hardens, the bandage is essential. So too, until Reality is realized, the balm of faith, holy company and holy thoughts must be applied to the ego-affected mind. It is dedication to the Lord that sanctifies all activities. He is the Prompter, the Executor, the Giver of the required strength and skill, and the Enjoyer of the fruit thereof. So dedication must come naturally to you, for all is His, and nothing is yours. Your duty is to believe that He is the impeller of your activities and draw strength from that belief.

பஞ்சாப் மாநிலம் லூதியானாவில் 1944ம் ஆண்டில் பிறந்தவர், சிறுவயது முதலே புகைப்படத்தின் மீது ஆர்வம் கொண்டவர். 1961ம் ஆண்டு ஆக்பா அறிமுகம் செய்த பாக்ஸ் டைப் கேமிராவை பதினெட்டு ரூபாய் எழுபத்தைந்து பைசாவிற்கு வாங்கி தனது புகைப்பட வாழ்வைத்துவக்கியவர்.
என்ஜினியரிங் முடித்துவிட்டு வியாபாரத்தில் ஈடுபட்டு அதன் மூலம் பரபரப்பான வாழ்க்கை வாழ்ந்து முடித்தவர், தற்போது சென்னையில் தன் மனைவியுடன் அழகான ஒரு பிளாட்டில் புகைப்படமே வாழ்க்கை என வாழ்ந்து கொண்டு இருப்பவர்.
கடந்த 89ம் ஆண்டில் இருந்து சீரியஸ் புகைப்படக் கலைஞரானவர். வைல்டு லைப், லேண்ட்ஸ்கேப், மைக்ரோ, போர்ட்ரெய்ட் என்று புகைப்பட பிரிவின் அனைத்து பிரிவிலும் தனது முத்திரையை பதித்தவர்,
படம் எடுப்பதற்காக ஹாங்காங், மலேசியா, இந்தோனேசியா, கம்போடியா, ஆஸ்திரேலியா, அலஸ்கா, தான்சானியா, கென்யா, ஜாம்பியா, ஜிம்பாப்வே மற்றும் போஸ்வானா ஆகிய நாடுகளுக்கு போய்வந்தவர்.
புகைப்படம் தொடர்பான சர்வதேச போட்டிகளில் கலந்து கொள்பவர், இவரது படங்கள் பல முறை சர்வதேச பரிசுகள் பெற்றுள்ளது. அமெரிக்காவில் உள்ள போட்டோகிராபி அமைப்பு உலகம் முழுவதிலும் உள்ள சிறந்த புகைப்படக் கலைஞர்களின் படங்களை தொகுத்து புத்தகமாக வெளியிட்டுள்ளது. அந்த புத்தகத்தில் இவரது படமும் இடம் பெற்றுள்ளது என்பதே இவரது பெருமைக்கு சான்றாகும்.
நிக்கான் கேமிரா காதலரான இவர் ஒரே நேரத்தில் மூன்று கேமிராக்களையும், மூன்றுவித லென்சுகளையும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு செல்வார்.
இவ்வளவு படங்கள் எடுத்தாலும் எந்த படங்களையும் காசாக்க நினைக்காதவர். தனது ஆத்ம திருப்திக்காக மட்டுமே எடுக்கக்கூடிய படங்களை பொதுமக்கள் பார்க்கவேண்டும், அவர்களும் புகைப்படம் எடுப்பதில் ஆர்வமாக முன்வரவேண்டும் என்று நினைப்பவர்.

” US Marine Assaults an African Immigrant and Steals His Lunch ” !!!

A Harley Biker is riding by the zoo in Washington , DC when he sees a little girl leaning into the lion’s cage. Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the collar of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents.

The biker jumps off his Harley, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch.

Whimpering from the pain the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the biker brings her to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly. A reporter has watched the whole event.

The reporter addressing the Harley rider says, ‘Sir, this was the most gallant and brave thing I’ve seen a man do in my whole life.’

The Harley rider replies, ‘Why, it was nothing, really, the lion was behind bars. I just saw this little kid in danger and acted as I felt right.’

The reporter says, ‘Well, I’ll make sure this won’t go unnoticed. I’m a journalist, you know, and tomorrow’s paper will have this story on the front page… So, what do you do for a living and what political affiliation do you have?’

The biker replies, I’m a U.S. Marine and a Republican

The journalist leaves.

The following morning the biker buys the Washington Post to see if it indeed brings news of his actions, and reads, on the front page:

U.S. MARINE ASSAULTS AFRICAN IMMIGRANT AND STEALS HIS LUNCH

…and THAT pretty much sums up the media’s approach to the news these days…

The jeevi (individual soul) has come to this birth in order to reveal the splendour of the spark of Godhead which It is. A rat is attracted by strong smelling cheap little stuff inside the trap; it neglects all other articles of food in the granary, and thus falls a prey to its own foolishness. Similarly people disregard and waste their life in the pursuit of mortal riches. Be aware and alert. Live in the world but develop the skills to wonder and discriminate between the eternal and temporary. Learn to see through this drama and discover the Director behind the scenes, who is none else than God. You can easily develop these skills through devotion (Bhakthi), based on performing duty without any expectation of results (Nishkama Karma).

முருகன் கோயிலை நிர்வகிக்கும் இஸ்லாமியர் !!!

புதுச்சேரி ரயில்வே நிலைய வாயில் அருகே உள்ள சாலைக்கு எதிரே கம்பீரமாக அமைந்துள்ளது கௌசிக பாலசுப்பிரமணியர் திருக்கோயில். அழகிய வேலைப்பாடுகளுடன் உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ள இக்கோயிலில் வள்ளி, தெய்வானை மற்றும் உடனுறை கௌசிக பாலசுப்பிரமணியருக்கு சந்நதிகள் உள்ளன. இக்கோயிலில் அனைத்து மதத்தி னரும் வழிபடுகின்றனர்.

இக்கோயிலைக் கட்டியவர் முஸ்லிம் சமூகத்தைச் சேர்ந்த முகமது கௌஸ். அவரது தம்பி முகம்மது அலியும், மகன் முகம்மது காதரும் தற்போது கோயில் நிர்வாகிகளாக உள்ளனர்.

மதுரையைப் பூர்வீகமாக கொண்ட முகமது கௌஸ் குடும்பத்தினர், 1940-களில் புதுச்சேரியில் குடியேறினர். சிறுவயது முதல், முகமது கௌஸ் முருகனை வழிபட்டு வந்தார்.

1969-ல் துளசி முத்து மாரியம்மன் கோயில் கும்பாபிஷேகத்தை அவர் நடத்தினார்.

அன்றைய தினம் அவரது தந்தை மரணமடைந்தாலும், திட்டமிட்டபடி கும்பாபிஷேக நிகழ்ச்சிகளை நடத்தி முடித்தார். குடும்பத்தினரின் எதிர்ப்பையும் மீறி, தன் இறைப்பணியைத் தொடர்ந்தார்.

மாரியம்மன் கோயில் அருகிலேயே முருகன் கோயில் கட்ட விரும்பிய அவர், தனது சேமிப்பில் இருந்த ரூ.2 லட்சத்தை வைத்து கட்டுமான பணிகளை தொடங்கினார்.1970-ல் துணைநிலை ஆளுநராக இருந்த ஜாட்டி, மேயர் எதுவர் குபேர் ஆகியோர் கோயிலுக்கு அடிக்கல் நாட்டினர்.

பல்வேறு போராட்டங்களுக்கு பின்னர், 1977ல் கும்பாபிஷேகம் நடத்தப்பட்டது. ஒருமுறை இக்கோயிலுக்கு வருகை தந்த காஞ்சி சாமிகள், கௌசிக முருகன் கோயில் என்று இக்கோயிலுக்கு பெயரிட்டார். கடந்த 2003ல் முகமது கௌஸ் மறைந்த பின், அவரது சகோதரர் மற்றும் மகன் ஆகியோர் இக்கோயிலை நிர்வகிக்கின்றனர்.

அனைத்து பூஜைகள் மற்றும் திருவிழாக்கள் சிறப்புடன் நடத்தப்பட்டு வருகின்றன. மதத்தின் பெயரால் மனிதர்களுக்கு இடையே பிளவு ஏற்படுவதைத் தடுப்பதுடன், மதநல்லிணக்கத்தையும் வலியுறுத்தும் விதமாக இக்கோயில் உள்ளது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
