Message For the Day…Make ” Namasmarana ” a Daily Habit….
Singing the glory of the Lord is highly sacred. When you sing the Names of the Lord (Namasmarana), the snakes of bad qualities will come out. Namasmarana is like the piped musical instrument (Nadhaswaram), that attracts the snakes of evil qualities and draws them out and away from you. You must repeat the Lord’s Name in order to get rid of your negativities. Sing unto Him from the depth of your hearts, without any inhibition, with total dedication. Only then you can experience divine bliss. Today the Universe is facing a lot of problems due to lack of this habit. Young or old, rich or poor, educated or otherwise, everyone must do Namasmarana. Make this habit the very breath of your life. Let each and every cell of your body be filled with the Divine Name. Nothing else can give you the bliss, courage and strength you derive from singing the Lord’s Glory.
விபூதி உருவான கதை !!!
ஸ்ரீமகாலஷ்மிக்கு உகந்தது திருநீறு
பர்னாதன் என்பவன் உணவையும் தண்ணீரையும் மறந்தவனாக சிவனை நினைத்து கடும் தவம் புரிந்தான்.ஒருநாள் அவனுக்கு கடுமையான பசி எடுத்தது. தவம் கலைந்தது. கண்ணை திறந்தான். அப்போது அவனை சுற்றி சிங்கங்களும் புலிகளும் பறவைகளும் என பல வன உயிரினங்கள் யாவும் காவலுக்கு இருந்தது. பசியால் முகம் வாடி இருந்தவனை கண்ட பறவைகள் பழங்களை பறித்து பர்னாதன் முன் வைத்தது.
இது ஈனின் கருனையே என்று மகிழ்ந்து பசி தீர கனிகளை சாப்பிட்டு முடித்து மீண்டும் தவத்தை தொடர்ந்தான். இப்படியே பல வருடங்கள் கடந்தோடியது. தவத்தை முடித்து கொண்டு சிவவழிபாட்டை தொடங்கினான். ஒருநாள் தர்பைபுல்லை அறுக்கும் போது அவன் கையில் கத்திபட்டு ரத்தம் கொட்டியது.
ஆனால் அவனுக்கோ எந்த பதற்றமும் இல்லை. குழந்தைக்கு ஆபத்தென்றால் தாய் பதறுவதை போல பதறியது ஈசன்தான்.
சிவபெருமான் வேடன் உருவில் தோன்றி, பர்னாதன் கையை பிடித்து பார்த்தார். என்ன ஆச்சரியம்…. ரத்தம் சொட்டிய இடத்தில் விபூதி கொட்ட ஆரம்பித்தது. வந்தது தாயுமானவர் என்பதை அறிந்தான். “ரத்தத்தை நிறுத்தி சாம்பலை கொட்ட செய்த தாங்கள் நான் வணங்கம் சர்வேஸ்வரன் என்பதை அறிவேன். இந்த அடியேனுக்கு தங்கள் சுயஉருவத்தை காணும் பாக்கியம் இல்லையா?“ என்று வேண்டினான் பர்னாதன். ஈசன் தன் சுயரூபத்தில் காட்சி கொடுத்தார்.
“உனக்காகவே இந்த சாம்பலை உருவாக்கினேன். அதனால் இந்த சாம்பல் இன்று முதல் விபூதி என்று அழைக்கப்படட்டும். உன் நல்தவத்தால் விபூதி உருவானது. அக்னியை எதுவும் நெருங்க முடியாததை போல விபூதியை பூசி அணிந்து கொள்பவர்களின் அருகில் துஷ்டசக்திகள் நெருங்காது. விபூதி என் ரூபம். அதற்கு நீயும் துணையாக இருந்த வா“ என்று ஆசி வழங்கினார் சிவபெருமான்.
விபூதியை கட்டை விரலாலும் மோதிர விரலாலும் சேர்த்தெடுத்து மோதிர விரலால் நெற்றியில் இட்டுக்கொள்ள வேண்டும். ஆனால் கட்டை விரலும் நடுவிரலும் சேர்ந்து விபூதியை எடுக்கக்கூடாது. கட்டைவிரலாலும் நெற்றியில் விபூதியை வைக்க கூடாது என்கிறது சிவபுராணம்.
விபூதியால் என்ன நன்மை? என்று ஸ்ரீ ராமர், அகத்திய முனிவரிடம் கேட்டார். “பகை, தீராத வியாதி, மனநல பாதிப்பு, செய்வினை பாதிப்பு இப்படி எது இருந்தாலும் தொடர்ந்து விபூதியை அணிந்து வந்தால் அந்த பிரச்சனைகள் விலகும்“ என்று அகத்திய முனிவர் ஸ்ரீ ராமருக்கு உபதேசம் செய்தார். ஸ்ரீமகாலஷ்மிக்கு உகந்ததும் விபூதி. அதனை விரும்பி விபூதி கலந்த நீரில் தினமும் அவள் நீராடுகிறாள். திரு என்றால் மகாலஷ்மி. அதனால்தான் விபூதியை திருநீறு என அழைக்கிறோம்.

Spectacular Railway Stations Around The World !!!
New York’s Grand Central Terminal turns 100 this week. To mark the anniversary, Telegraph Travel has chosen 20 of the most impressive railway stations around the world.
Grand Central Terminal, New York
Built in 1913, Grand Central is an elegant, elaborately decorated monument to railway history. It has more platforms (44) than any other station in the world, and has appeared in dozens of films, including Men in Black, Carlito’s Way, Bad Boys, and The Godfather, helping make it one of the city’s most visited tourist attractions.
There is plenty to explore inside, including The Campbell Apartment cocktail bar, the Whispering Gallery (in front of the Oyster Bar restaurant), and the food market.
St Pancras International, London
This gothic masterpiece was completed in 1868 and recently restored. The facade is the grandest of any British railway station, and behind lies a spectacular pointed-arched train shed of iron and glass: in its day the widest clear-span structure in the world.
Estacion de Madrid Atocha, Madrid
Madrid’s largest railway station opened in 1851. Its frontage is certainly handsome but the most spectacular feature lies within: a vast plaza filled with plants, tropical flowers and even rare turtles. A sombre memorial to the 191 victims of the 2004 Madrid train bombings stands above the station.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Mumbai
Originally known as Victoria Terminus, this historic gothic station – completed in 1888 – is one of the only train hubs in the world to be recognised by UNESCO. It is still used by around three million commuters each day and featured in the film Slumdog Millionaire.
Shinjuku Station, Japan
It might not be the most aesthetically pleasing train station, but Shinjuku makes our list for logistical reasons. Around 3.5 million people use it each day, making it the world’s busiest transport hub. There are 36 platforms and over 200 exits.
Estacao de Sao Bento, Porto
The most notable feature in Porto’s Sao Bento station are the wonderful tile panels depicting scenes from Portuguese history. They are the work of Jorge Colaco, and show events including the Battle of Valdevez and the Conquest of Ceuta. The station itself opened in 1916.
Haydarpasa Terminal, Istanbul
Eastern Europe’s busiest station, Haydarpasa Terminal occupies an atmospheric waterside location. It opened in 1872.
Tanggula Mountain Railway Station, Tibet
At 5,068m above sea level Tanggula is the world’s highest train station. It is found on the Qingzang railway line which runs from Qinghai to Lhasa, in Tibet. Telegraph Travel’s Fionnuala McHugh embarked on a 4,000 mile rail journey from Hong Kong to Lhasa last year, including a stop at Tanggula. CTS Horizonsoffers packages to the region, including train tickets.
Hauptbahnhof, Berlin
Berlin’s new Hauptbahnhof opened in 2006. It is a colossal steel and glass structure with tracks on two levels. 1,800 trains stop there each day, and around 350,000 passengers pass through.
Yaroslavsky Station, Moscow
One of nine railway stations in Moscow, Yaroslavsky is notable as the western terminus of the Trans-Siberian Railway. It first opened in 1862, but has been rebuilt several times.
Helsinki Central, Finland
One of the Finnish capital’s most recognisable landmarks, Helsinki Central is known for its granite cladding, clock tower and for the two pairs of statues that dominate its facade. It opened in 1862 and around 200,000 passengers use it every day.
Kuala Lumpur Railway Station, Malaysia
Built in 1910, Kuala Lumpur’s main railway station is noted for its architecture, which combines both Eastern and Western designs. Visitors can stay at the Heritage Station Hotel, found within the building.
Kanazawa Station, Japan
The futuristic station at Kanazawa, in Japan’s Ishikawa Province, is entirely elevated and covered by a large roof. The Tsuzumi Gate, built in 2005, dominates the frontage. Inside is a large shopping mall and seven platforms.
Ushuaia, Argentina
The Southern Fuegian Railway was originally built to serve the prison of Ushuaia, but now operates solely as a heritage railway following the prison’s closure in 1947. The ‘End of the World’ station – five miles west of Ushuaia – is a popular tourist attraction.
Gare du Nord, Paris
Gare du Nord is by far the busiest railway station in Europe, with around 190 million passengers using it each year. It was inaugurated in 1846, making it one of the world’s oldest, and has an imposing facade, designed by Jacques Hittorff. Eurostar passengers arrive here from London.
Union Station, Chicago
This is a major hub for inter-city trains in America, and even if you are just passing through Chicago by rail you will need to stop at this vast station. It is mostly underground, covering around nine and a half blocks of the city.
The Great Hall in the centre of the station is one of its most impressive features, a 110-foot (34 m)-high atrium capped by a large curved skylight.
Flinders Street Station, Melbourne
The most used station in Melbourne, with more than 100,000 commuters passing through each day, Flinders Street Station a real landmark in the city, and is especially photogenic when the city’s trams pass by. The building was completed in 1909.
Antwerpen-Centraal Station, Belgium
Dubbed the “Railway Cathedral” due to the monumental size of its main building, Antwerp’s main station was designed by the Bruges architect L Delacenserie.
It has a huge dome and eight smaller towers, six of which were destroyed during the 1950s, then reconstructed in 2009, along with several ornaments including large lion statues. The interior is known for its luxurious decoration, with more than 20 different kinds of marble and stone.
Luz, Sao Paulo
Orginally built in the 19th century, this station was actually assembled in Glasgow, before it was moved to and re-constructed in the Brazilian city.
It gradually fell into decline before locals realised its grandeur and a major renovation project began in the 1990s. It is also notable for housing the Museum of the Portuguese Language.
Hua Hin, Thailand
One of the oldest stations in Thailand, Hua Hin’s main feature is an ornate Royal Waiting Room that lends it a unique and exotic appearance.

Laughter ….The Best Medicine !!!…” One For The Tin Cup “!!!
A guy was in New York on a business trip and decided to head to a local bar for a drink. Standing outside the bar was a nun holding a tin cup.
As the man threw a few bucks into her cup the nun launched into a long tirade about the evils of alcohol. She went on and on about how alcohol was tearing apart the fabric of society and how it was the root of all the city’s problems.
Slightly pissed off at having to listen to this the guy said, “Listen sister, I work hard for my money and sometimes at the end of a long day I like a drink or two. That doesn’t make me a bad person. I have a wife I idolize and two wonderful kids at home. I provide for my family, I volunteer my time to several local service clubs and I contribute regularly to various charities. Yet you stand here and condemn me just because I drink the occasional glass of scotch!”
The nun was slightly taken aback and replied, “I see your point my son and I apologize if I offended you, but the alcohol is such a powerful demon that all who consume it are doomed…”
“Look there you go again,” said the man, “How can you make such a sweeping statement. Have you ever even TRIED alcohol?”
“Of course not!” gasped the nun, “The evil alcohol has never touched my lips.”
“Do you really think that one glass of booze can change you from a devout nun to some kind of evil degenerate?”
“Well, I really don’t know …”
“I’ll tell you what, come into the bar with me and I’ll buy you a drink. One drink. I’ll prove to you that “evil” is not inside the glass, it’s inside the person.”
“Oh I could never be seen going into such a den of inequity, it’s out of the question. However, your comment about evil residing in the person rather than the glass is quite intriguing. I must admit you’ve aroused a curiosity in me.”
“Well let’s go inside and settle this”
“No my son, I could never enter such a place… but how about this. Take my tin cup with you and fill it with this “scotch” you mentioned. Bring it out to me and I’ll try it.”
“You’re on!” said the guy.
The nun removed all the change and handed him the tin cup. He went into the bar and said to the bartender, “Two scotch on the rocks, and could you put one of them in this tin cup please”
The bartender sighed and said, “Is that darn nun out there again!”

டார்கெட்….அரைப் பக்க கதை !!!
அந்த பிரமாண்ட மண்டபத்தில் ஜாதி மத பேதமில்லாமல் அனைத்து மதத்தினரும் கூடியிருந்தனர். அங்கு நடக்க விருப்பது அனைத்து மதத்தினர் பங்கு பெறும் மழை வேண்டி பிரார்த்தனை. வெவ்வேறு மதத்தினருக்கு வெவ்வேறு இடம் ஒதுக்கப்பட்டடிருந்தது. அங்கு அவரவர் முறைப்படி பிரார்த்தனை நடந்து கொண்டிருந்தது. அந்த விசேஷ ஏற்பாட்டின் ஐடியாவுக்கு சொந்தக்காரர் தொழிலதிபர் ஜே.கே.விற்கு பாராட்டு மழை.
பிரமாதம் சார், வித்தியாசமான யோசனை. எல்லா மதத்தினரையும் ஒன்று சேர்த்து புரட்சி பண்ணிட்டீங்க. மத நல்லிணக்கத்திற்கு வித்திட்டிருக்கீங்க. எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் சிரித்து மழுப்பி நகர்ந்த ஜே.கே. ஒரு பிரபல தொழில் வித்தகர். அவர் புதிதாய் துவங்கி இருக்கும் குடை, ரெயின்கோர்ட், ஜெர்கின் போன்றவற்றை தயாரித்து தமிழ்நாட்டில் மார்கெட்டிங் செய்யும் தொழில் இலக்கை எட்ட முடியாமல் தத்தளிப்பதால் தான் இந்த ஏற்பாடு. அந்த விஷயம் பாவம் அவரை விழுந்து விழுந்து பாராட்டும் நபர்களுக்கு தெரியாதே.

சுஷ்மா, ஜீன்ஸ் – உடல் ஒட்டின பனியனுடன், உலர்த்த நேரமில்லாத ஈர முடியுமாய் கிளம்ப, “சுஷ்! ஒரு வாய் சாப்பிட்டு போடி…!’
“நேரமாச்சும்மா வரேன்!’ என்ற செருப்பில் நுழைந்தாள். அதற்குள் அம்மா பின்னாடியே ஓடிவந்து லாப்டாப் பையில் டிபன் பாக்ஸை செருகி, “போன உடனே மறக்காம சாப்பிட்டிரு’
“சரிம்மா, பை!’ என்று ஓடி தனக்காக காத்திருந்த டி.வி. சேனல் வண்டியில ஏறி…. செல் ஒலிக்க “இதோ கிளம்பிட்டேன் சார்!’
“அக்கா.. போலாமா?’ என்று டிரைவர் பின்னால் திரும்பிப் பார்த்த பகுதி அவளுக்கு கூசிற்று. என்ன செய்ய முடியும்!
அழகில்லை – நிறமில்லை – களையில்லை – முடியில்லை – வேண்டிய ளவுக்கு வேண்டியது வேண்டியபடி இல்லை என்று வருத்தப்படுபவர்கள் இருக்கிறார்கள் எல்லாம் இருந்தாலோ – இப்படி!
விஷûவல் கம்யூனிகேஷன் முடிந்து உடனே இந்த பிரபல சேனலில் சேர்ந்து சுஷ்மா எதிர்பாராமல் திடீர் பிரபலம்! பிரபலத்திற்கேற்ப கவர்ச்சியாக வேண்டிய கட்டாயம்!
அரசியல் – சினிமா – மீடியா – தொழிலதிபர்கள் என பெரும்புள்ளியுடன் பழகும் வாய்ப்பு. கை நிறைய சம்பளம்!
புதுப்புது யோசனைகள், யுக்திகள்! சேனலின் ரேட்டிங்கை கூட்ட வேண்டிய எப்போதும் ஓட்டம்! ஓய்விற்கும், தூங்கவும் பசி போக்கவும் நேரமில்லை. வசதியில்லாதவர்கள் காசில்லாமல் பட்டினி. காசிருப்பவர்களுக்கு சாப்பிட நேரமில்லை அல்லது டயட்!
இவர்கள் பம்பரமாய் சுழன்றால்தான் ஜனங்களுக்கு பரபரப்பு தர முடியும். இருப்பதை மறக்கணும். இல்லாததை பெரிசு பண்ணணும். போட்டி சேனல்களுக்கு முன்பு – முந்தணும்! அவன் ஏதாவது செய்து நல்ல பெயர் வாங்கினால் உல்டா பண்ணி காலி பண்ணணும்!
சுஷ்மா உள்ளே நுழைந்தபோது, ரிசப்ஷனிஸ்ட் “டைரக்டர் விக்னேஷ் பார்க்கச் சொன்னார்!’ என்று அன்பாய் விரட்டினாள்.
விக்னேஷ், “யெஸ், சார். நோ சார்! இந்த வாரம் செஞ்சிரலாம் சார்!’ என்று செல்லில் அடிபணிந்தபடி அவளை அமரச் சொன்னான். பாவம், இளம் வயதிலேயே வழுக்கை! அவளும் கேட்கட்டும் என்று ஸ்பீக்கரை அமர்த்தி அமர்ந்தான்.
எதிர்முனையில் சேர்மன். சேனலின் ஓனர். அப்போது எந்த நாட்டிலிருந்து என்று தெரியவில்லை எங்கிருந்தாலும் விரட்டி கழுத்தைப் பிடிப்பார்.
அள்ளி அள்ளி சம்பளத்தைக் கொடுத்துவிட்டு அனுபவிக்க நேரம் தராத குரூரம்; சேனலில் ஆரம்பித்த அவரது வாழ்வு இன்று உலகம் முழுக்க பல்தொழில்களில் பறக்கிறது! சிறக்கிறது. ஆக்கவும் அதைவிட அதிகமாய் அழிக்கவும் அவர் தெம்பு பெற்றவர்! குடும்பம் அமெரிக்க கிரீன் கார்டில்!
“விக்னேஷ்! நேத்து ஆரம்பிச்ச சேனல்காரன் புகுந்துவிளையாடறான். நீங்கள்லாம் என்ன பண்றீங்க? உலகத் தமிழர்களை உசுப்பற மாதிரி ஏதாவது…’
“யோசிக்கணும் சார்..’
“செய்றீங்க – அதுவும் அதிரடியாய் – நிலநடுக்கமாய்.. இன்னும் ரெண்டு நாளில்! அவனவன் தீபாவளி பட்டாசு வெடிப்பான். நாம அதுக்கு நாலு நாள் முன்னாடியே வெச்சிரணும்! அது சரவெடியா இருக்கணும்!’
“டன் சார்!’
“என்ன செய்யப்போறீங்கன்னு இன்னும் நாலு மணி நேரத்துல எனக்கு தெரிஞ்சாகணும்! கீப் கான்ஃபிடன்ஸியல்!’
“ஓகே சார்.’
“நம்மாளுங்களுக்கு முடிலேன்னா – சொல்லு! ஏஜென்ஸிகாரனை அனுப்பறேன் – காதும் காதும் – கண்ணும் கண்ணும் வச்சமாதிரி அவன் செய்வான்! சுஷ்மா எதிரேதானே இருக்கா… சுஷ்..’
அவள் வியர்த்து “ஹாய் சார்!’ என்று படபடக்க, “உன் பனியன் சூப்பர்! அதை வேலையிலும் காட்டு. பை!’
விக்னேஷ் குறுந்தாடியை வருடி; தலையை சிலிர்த்து, “சுஷ்… என் பண்ணலாம் சொல்லு! ஏதாச்சும் யோசிச்சியா…?’
“இல்லே சார்… பசிக்குது. அம்மா டிபன் கொடுத்தாங்க. ஷேர் பண்ணுங்க முதல்ல!’
இரண்டு இட்லி உள்ளே போய் மெஷினில் காபி பிடித்து ரூசித்ததும் மூளை வேலை செய்ய ஆரம்பித்தது.
“சார்… ஏதாவது சாமியாரை களவாடுவோமா…?’
“யார் இருக்கா. பாக்கி…?’
“இல்லாட்டி என்ன போலி சாமியாரை உருவாக்குவோம். பொண்ணுங்களை அனுப்பி படம் பிடிச்சு.. அவங்களுக்கு பணம் கொடுத்து இலவச பப்ளிசிட்டி!’
“அதெல்லாம் தான் ஜனங்களுக்கு பழகிப்போச்சே! இதிலே பரபரப்புக்கு என்ன இருக்கு? புதுசா யோசி…!’
“பேசாம சினிமா – ஹீரோ – ஹீரோயினிடம் விலை பேசி… செட் அப் படம் எடுத்து… ரெண்டு நாளைக்கு மாத்தி மாத்தி அவங்களைப் பத்தி காரசார அறிக்கை விட வச்சா ஜனங்க ரசிப்பாங்க. பேசுவாங்க. அப்புறம் வேறு நியூஸ் வந்ததும் இதை மறந்துடப் போறாங்க!’
விக்னேஷ் பொறுமையிழந்து சேனங்களை இங்குமங்கும் திருப்பிக் கொண்டிருந்தான். திருவிழா! பஜாரில் வெடிகுண்டு! கப்பல் எரிந்து நாசம்! விமானம் கடத்தல்..! சிரியாவில் ஆயிரம் பேர் சுட்டுக்கொலை! எகிப்தில் போராட்டக்காரர்கள் மேல் திராவக வீச்சு! ஈராக்கில் கார் வெடி குண்டு! ஜப்பானில் நிலநடுக்கம்! அமெரிக்க எரிமலை! வெற்றிகரமாய் ராக்கெட் ஏவப்பட்டது!
உள்ளூர் சேனலை திருப்பினால் ரஜினி! விஜய்! அஜித்! அமீர்கான்! ஏழுலட்சம் கோடி ஊழல்! எங்களுக்கும் தனி மாநிலம் வேணும்! அஸ்ஸாமில் வெள்ளம்! தீபாவளி ரிலீஸ் படங்கள்!
காலை ஆறு முதல் மறுநாள் காலை ஆறுரை தீபாவளியை முன்னிட்டு சினிமா…! சினிமா நிகழ்ச்சிகளை வழங்குவோம்! ஒவ்வொரு சேனலிலும் ஆஸ்தான பட்டிமன்றங்கள்! சினிமா நட்சத்திரங்களின் அலப்பரைகள்!
என்ன செய்யலாம்?
ஃபோன் வந்தது.
எதிர்பார்த்தது போலவே சேர்மன்! பயபக்தியோடும் நடுக்கத்தோடும் எடுக்க, “விக்னேஷ்! இடைத்தரகன் ஒருத்தன் மாட்டினான். இன்னும் ஒரு மணி நேரத்துல உன்னை வந்து பார்ப்பான். அவன் கேட்கிற பணத்தை செட்டில் பண்ணி.. நாளை மாலையிலிருந்தே ஃப்ளாஷ் நியூஸ் ஓட விட்டிரு!’
“என்னன்னு சார்..?’
“அதான்ப்பா.. நம்மகிட்டே வாலாட்டினானே… மானநஷ்டவழக்குப் போட்டு ஜெயிச்சானே அந்த மந்திரியோட மகனாம் – வெளிநாட்டுல கொட்டமாம்! அவன் கையில ஆதாரம் இருக்காம். நாளை மாலை காசட் வரும். அது உண்மையான்னு மட்டும் செக் பண்ணிகிட்டு செட்டில் பண்ணிரு!’
“ஓகே சார், எல்லாம் நான் பார்த்துக்கிறேன்.’

Message For The Day…Do Not Postpone Learning Lessons of Silence and Prayer…
Once a miser lived in a leaky house. Rain water poured through the roof, into his house and he sat through it all night. Neighbours, seeing his plight, suggested he get the roof repaired. The miser remarked, “Let the rains subside, how can I repair it now?” And when the rains stopped, he replied, “Why should I worry about the leaks, now that the rains have stopped?” Do not take this approach. Instead of choosing to suffer when the rains come, as they are sure to do, wouldn’t it be wise to repair the roof right now? This example conveys the importance you must give to acquainting yourself with spiritual primers and textbooks without postponing this by even a moment. Begin right now, the first lessons of silence, prayer and repeating the Name of the Lord. It is never too soon to start the spiritual journey.
