படித்ததில் பிடித்தது ….தோப்புக்கரணம் எதற்காக ?…

விஷ்ணு காத்தல் தொழில் புரிய வேண்டி அதற்காக சில ஆயுதங்களைப் பெற்றார். அதில் ஒன்று சக்ராயுதம். அவர் அந்தச் சக்கரத்தை ஒரு போரில் ஏவ, அது சக்தி இழந்து திரும்பி வந்தது. இதனால் அதிர்ச்சியடைந்த விஷ்ணு, வேறு ஒரு வலிமையான ஆயுதம் வாங்குவதற்காக சிவனை வழிபடச் சென்றார்.

அப்போது வாசலில் இருந்த விநாயகப் பெருமானை வணங்காமல் விஷ்ணு உள்ளே சென்றார். இதனால் விஷ்ணு மீது விநாயகருக்கு கோபம் வந்தது. இதை அறியாத விஷ்ணு, சிவனை போற்றி வணங்கி 1000 தாமரை மலர்களால், சிவனின் ஆயிரம் திருநாமங்களாகிய சஹஸ்ர நாமம் கூறி ஒவ்வொரு மலராக அர்ச்சனை செய்தார். மனம் மகிழ்ந்த சிவபெருமான் முன்பொரு முறை ஜலந்தாசுரன் என்ற அரக்கனை மாய்க்க தம் கால் நகங்களால் உருவாக்கி இருந்த சக்கரப் படையை விஷ்ணுவுக்கு கொடுத்தார். விஷ்ணு திரும்பி வரும்போது வாயிலில் இருந்த விநாயகப் பெருமான் வழிமறித்தார்.

விஷ்ணுவின் கையிலிருந்த சக்கரத்தை பிடுங்கி தம் வாயில் போட்டுக்கொண்டார். அதனைக் கண்டு அதிர்ந்த விஷ்ணு, தாம் விநாயகப் பெருமானை வணங்காது சென்றது தவறுதான் என்பதை உணர்ந்தார். அவரை வணங்கி, தமது நான்கு திருக்கரங்களாலும் இரு காதுகளையும் பற்றிக்கொண்டு பலமுறை உட்கார்ந்து எழுந்து தோப்புக்கரணம் போட்டார். இந்தச் செயல் நகைச்சுவையாக இருந்ததால் விநாயகர் கோபம் மறந்து விழுந்து விழுந்து சிரித்தார்.

அப்போது அவர் வாயில் இருந்த சக்கரம் வெளியில் விழுந்தது. அதனை எடுத்து விநாயகப் பெருமானிடம் வணங்கி ஆசி பெற்றார் விஷ்ணு. இந்த கணபதி விகடச்சக்கர விநாயகர் எனப் போற்றப்படுகிறார். இவர் காஞ்சி

புரம் கோயிலில் வீற்றிருந்து அருளாட்சி செய்கிறார். இப்படி தோப்புக்கரணம் போட்டால் விநாயகர் மகிழ்ந்து அருள்புரிவார் என்பதாலேயே இச்செயல் நடைமுறைக்கு வந்தது.

ஆண்டவன் மீதும் சாஸ்திரங்கள் மீதும் நாம் வைக்கும் நம்பிக்கையே மூடநம்பிக்கை என்று சொல்லும் பகுத்தறிவாளர்கள் உண்டு. அவர்களுடைய நம்பிக்கைகள் எல்லாம் கெட்டிக்காரத்தனம் என்றும் நம்முடைய நம்பிக்கைகள் மட்டும் மூடத்தனம் என்றும் அவர்கள் கருதுகிறார்கள். நான் சொல்கிறேன். நம்பிக்கையில் மூட நம்பிக்கை, குருட்டு நம்பிக்கை, கெட்டிக்கார நம்பிக்கை… எதுவும் கிடையாது. சொல்லப்போனால் நம்பிக்கை என்பதே ஒரு மூடத்தனம். அதிலே தனியாக ஒரு மூட நம்பிக்கை ஏது?

 

 

 

நம்பிக்கை என்பது இப்படி நடக்கும் என்று ஆசைப்படுவது. அப்படி நடக்காமலும் போய்விடலாம். அப்போது அது மூடத்தனமாகிவிடுகிறது. ஆண்டவனை நம்புவதிலும், அதே நிலைதான். அது தோல்வியுற்றால் மூடத்தனம். வெற்றி பெற்றால் கெட்டிக்காரத்தனம்.

ஆகவே, நம்பிக்கை என்ற மூடத்தனம் மனிதனாகப் பிறந்த ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் உண்டு. அதில் ஆஸ்திகன் மட்டுமென்ன தனி ஜாதி! இதுவரை எந்த நம்பிக்கை எல்லா நேரங்களிலும் பலித்திருக்கிறது? ஆனால், நம்பிக்கை என்ற மூடத்தனத்தை ஏன் எல்லாருமே மேற்கொள்கிறார்கள்? அதிலே மனத்துக்கு ஒரு சாந்தி.

தெய்வ நம்பிக்கை, நிம்மதிக்கும் மகிழ்ச்சிக்குமாகவே ஏற்பட்டது. விஞ்ஞான நம்பிக்கையைப் போல் ஒரு கட்டத்தில் தோல்வியுற்றாலும் மறு கட்டத்தில் வெற்றி பெறுவதுதான் தெய்வ நம்பிக்கை.

“ஒரு சூத்திரதாரியின் கைப்பொம்மைகள் நாம்” என்பது மறுக்க முடியாதது. மரணம் என்ற ஒன்று, அதைத் தினசரி வலியுறுத்துகிறது. இவ்வளவுக்குப் பிறகும், தெய்வ நம்பிக்கையைச் சிலர் மூட நம்பிக்கை என்று சொல்வார்களானால், “நான் ஒரு மூடன்’ என்று சொல்லிக் கொள்வதிலேயே பெருமைப்படுகிறேன்.

முட்டாள்தனத்தில் இருக்கிற நிம்மதி கெட்டிக்காரத்தனத்தில் இல்லை. உடம்பிலோ எல்லா நோயும் இருந்தும் “ஒன்றுமே இல்லை’ என்று நம்புகிற முட்டாள் ஆரோக்கியமாகவே இருக்கிறான். ஒரு நோயும் இல்லாமலேயே ஒவ்வொரு மயிர்க்காலையும் பார்த்து, “”இது அதுவாக இருக்குமோ? என்று ஆராய்ச்சி செய்கிற அறிவாளி, நித்திய நோயாளியாகச் சாகிறான்.

“சுடு’ என்று சொன்னவுடனேயே யாரைச் சுடுகிறோம் என்று பார்க்காமலே சுடுகின்ற படைகள்தாம் நாட்டுக்கு வெற்றி தேடித் தந்திருக்கின்றன. அந்த நேரத்தில் படைகள் பகுத்தறிவை உபயோகிக்கத் தொடங்கினால்… பகுத்தறிவு மிஞ்சும்… நாடு மிஞ்சாது!

போரில் தயக்கம் காட்டிய அர்ஜுனனைப் பார்த்துக் கண்ணன் அதைத்தான் சொன்னான்.

“போர்’ என்று வந்த பின் உறவினர்கள் என்ற ஆராய்ச்சி வெற்றிக்கு உதவாது’ என்றான். கடைசியில் கண்ணன் மீது மூடநம்பிக்கை வைத்து அர்ஜுனன் காண்டீபத்தைத் தூக்கினான். முடிவு வெற்றியாகக் கனிந்தது.

கீதையில் கர்மயோகம் மானிடக் கடமைகளை வலியுறுத்துகிறது. பக்தியோகம், தியானத்தை வலியுறுத்துகிறது. கடமையும், நம்பிக்கையுடன் தான் நடைபெறுகிறது. தியானமும், நம்பிக்கையுடன் தான் நடைபெறுகிறது.

“மனம் உண்டானால் வழி உண்டு’ என்பது பெரியோர் வாக்கு. அது மானிட தர்மத்துக்கும் பொருந்தும். தியான தர்மத்துக்கும் பொருந்தும். ஆகவே, தெய்வ நம்பிக்கையை மூடநம்பிக்கை என்று சொல்வதைப் பற்றி நான் வருந்தவில்லை. இந்த மூடனும், அந்த அறிவாளியும் நம்மிடம் தான் வரப்போகிறார்கள்” என்ற நம்பிக்கை தெய்வத்துக்கு இருக்கிறதே! யார் என்ன செய்ய முடியும்?!

There are two very important statements in the Bhagavad Gita, which you must take to heart and profit from: Shraddhavan Labhate Jnanam (The one steady in faith gains wisdom and liberation) and Samshayaathma Vinashyathi (Doubt leads to perdition, spiritual ruin). Dwell on these axioms and practice the spiritual disciplines of repetition of the Lord’s name and meditation on His form. Gopis of Brindavan yearned for the Lord with purity in their hearts and attained union with Him. You too must fill your mind with His beautiful form and contemplate on the glory of the Lord. Then you can attain Divinity. This is the pursuit that is worthy, not the pursuit of fame, nor the friendship of the famous.

ரா.கணபதி அண்ணாவின் “மைத்ரீம் பஜத’ புஸ்தகத்திலிருந்து….

மேனா எனப்படும் பல்லக்கு ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளுக்குச் ‘சென்றால் ஊர்தியாம்; இருந்தால் சிங்காசனமாம்; புணையாம்’ (உறங்கப் பாயாம்)! ‘இருந்த திருக்கோல’த்தில் மேனாவுக்குள்ளிருந்து அவர் ராஜ்யபாரம் நடத்துவார். அப்படி ஒரு நாள்.

பக்கத்தில் ஒரு பெண் குழந்தை வந்து நின்றது.

“பேர் என்ன?” என்று விசாரித்தார் பெருமான்.

“தீபா” என்று கீச்சுக்குரலில் குட்டி கூறிற்று.

பெரியவாளுக்கு அது சரியாகக் காது கேட்கவில்லை. குழந்தையிடம், “நீ சொன்னது எனக்குக் கேக்கலியே! பலமாச் சொல்லும்மா”! என்றார்.

அது அழுத்தந்திருத்தமாக, “D for Donkey, E for Egg, இன்னொரு E for Elephant, P for People, A for Ant” என்றது.

பெரியவாள் மெய்யாலுமே அதில் வியப்படைந்தாலும் அவ்வியப்பை ஆயிரமாகப் பெருக்கி அபிநயித்து, “பேஷ், பேஷ், மஹா கெட்டிக்காரியா இருக்கியே! பொளந்து தள்றியே!” என்று குட்டியைச் சிலாகித்தார்.

அதற்கு ஏக மகிழ்ச்சி.

சின்னஞ் சிறிசிடம் பென்னம் பெரியவர் தொடர்ந்தார்: “நீ நன்னாதான் சொன்னே, ஆனா ஒம் பேரோட ‘டாங்கி’யையும் ‘எக்’கையும் சேக்கறதுக்குப் பதிலா நான் இன்னூரு தினுஸா சொல்லித் தரட்டுமா? ரொம்ப ஒஸ்த்தியானவாளோட சேத்துச் சொல்லித் தரேன். நீ D-e-e-p-aன்னு அஞ்சு எழுத்துல சொன்ன பேருக்கே இன்னுங் கொஞ்சம் ஈஸியா D-i-p-aன்னு நாலு எழுத்துலயும் ஸ்பெல்லிங் சொல்லலாம். அப்படி வெச்சுக்கலாம்.

“D for Devi, தேவின்னா என்ன தெரியுமா? ஒரே ஸ்வாமியே பல விதமா வருவார். அம்மாஸ்வாமியா அவர் ரொம்ப அன்போட வரச்சே தேவின்னு பேரு. அம்மன் கோவில்னு கோவில்லே பாத்திருக்கியோ?”

“பாத்திருக்கேன்”.

“அங்கே இருக்கிற அம்மன் தான் தேவி. எங்கே சொல்லு, D for Devi”.

“D for Devi”.

”பேஷ்! அப்புறம் நீ ரெண்டு E சொன்னதுக்குப் பதிலா ஒரே I. I for Ilango. இ-ள-ங்-கோ. சொல்லு”.

“இளங்கோ அப்படின்னா?”

“இளங்கோ-ங்கிறவர்தான் தமிழ்லயே ரொம்ப ஒஸ்த்தியான பொயட்ரி கதை எழுதினவர். கண்ணகி-ன்னு ஒரு அம்மாவைப் பத்தி பொயட்ரியாவே ஸ்டோரி சொன்னவர். அந்த ஸ்டோரி ரொம்ப நன்னா இருக்கும். எனக்கு இப்ப சொல்றதுக்கு டயம் இல்லே. அப்பாவைப் பொஸ்தகம் வாங்கித் தரச் சொல்லு. I for Ilango”.

”அப்புறம் P for Prahlada – ப்ரஹ்லாதன்…”

“தெரியும், தெரியும். பக்தியா இருந்த boy. அவனுக்காக Godஏ சிங்கம் மாதிரி வந்து அவனுக்கு enemy-யா இருந்த father-ஐ kill பண்ணினார்”.

“பேஷ், பேஷ், நன்னா தெரிஞ்சு வெச்சுண்டிருக்கியே! கடைசியா, A for Anjaneya. ஆங்ஜநேயர் தெரியுமா?”

“கரெக்டா சொல்லிட்டே! இந்தாம்மா!” என்று பாலகியிடம் கற்கண்டை வீசினார் அருளாளர்.

“D for Devi, I for Ilango” என்று சொல்லியவாறு துள்ளி ஓடினாள் சூட்டிகைச் சிறுமி.

எழுத்துக்களை அறியும்போதே மதத்திலும் இலக்கியத்திலும் பிடிமானம் ஏற்படுத்தித் தர ஜகத்குருவின் சுவையான பாடம்.

In the present times, it is impossible to find virtuous people or virtues holding sway over people’s minds. People have lost the fear of a fall and become worse than animals. During previous centuries, Rajput women immolated themselves rather than fall into the hands of wicked foes. When Hanuman offered to take Sita back to Rama, the virtue of Sita would not allow her to accept the offer. She said that it would best suit her husband’s fame if he himself avenges the wrong and rescues her. Hanuman’s taking her, would be a repetition of what Ravana did, for he too stole her secretly while Rama was away. She did not consider her immediate relief as more important than the implications of that step to her virtue and her husband’s fair name. It all lies in the vision that you command, that you have equipped yourselves with.

Birth as a human being is a unique chance. For, human beings alone are endowed with discriminating intelligence, that is, the power to reason out the best amongst alternative courses. You are, by design, very far from the animal kingdom (pashu) and very near to Divine (Pashupathi). Do not relapse into animality. Imbibe love, nobility and majesty from the scriptures; they are so full of it! For example, look at the grandeur in behaviour portrayed in Ramayana! After the war, when Ravana fell, Rama sent Lakshmana to the battlefield with the message to see that he is treated like the Emperor of Lanka, and not as a despised enemy. The scriptures have in them such lessons that portray the majesty of virtue (Seelam), action (Kriya) and feelings (Bhava).

“ரோஜாப்பூ இன்று குழந்தைகளுக்கு”….மகாபெரியவர் !!!

நாலைந்து கூடைகள் நல்ல ரோஜா மலர்கள் ஒரு தினம் ஸ்ரீமடத்தில் ஸமர்ப்பணமாயிற்று. ஸ்ரீசந்திர மெளளீச்வரர் பூஜா விமானம் அற்புதப் புஷ்பாலங்காரம் பெறும் எனப் பணியாளர்கள் எண்ணினர்.

அப்போது ஒரு பள்ளிக் குழந்தை கோஷ்டி வந்தது. அவர்களுக்குத் தரிசனம் அளித்த அருட் தாத்தா ரோஜாக் கூடைகளைக் கொண்டுவரப் பணித்தார்.

”இன்று என்ன, வழக்கமில்லா வழக்கமாகக் குழந்தைகளுக்குப் புஷ்ப விநியோகம்?” என்று பாரிஷதர்களுக்குப் புரியவில்லை.

குழந்தைகளின் வாயாலேயே அவர்களுக்கு குருநாதன் புரிய வைத்தார்.

“இன்னிக்கு என்ன விசேஷம்:” என்று அவற்றைக் கேட்டார்.

“நேருஜி பிறந்த நாள்” என்று அவை ஒருகுரலில் கூறின.

“அவருக்கு ரொம்பப் பிடிச்சது என்ன?”

“ரோஜாப்பூ, ரோஜாப்பூ!”

“ஒங்களுக்கெல்லாமும் அவர் ஞாபகமா இன்னிக்கு ரோஜாப்பூ!”

இப்படியாகத்தானே ‘குழந்தையும் தெய்வமும்’ என்ற வாக்குப்படி, பூஜைக்கு என எண்ணப்பட்ட மலர்களை அரும்புப் பருவத்தினருக்கு விநியோகித்தவர், அருள் பழுத்த கனியான ஸ்ரீசரணர்.

Never yield to doubt or unsteadiness. Have faith in any one Name and Form that appeals to you. If you revere one form of God and hate another, the net result is zero. God will not tolerate the slightest hatred of any Name or Form. Avoid factions, quarrelling, scorning and fault-finding, as they reveal your ignorance and actually recoil on you. You find fault in others, because you have the same faults in you. If you throw contempt at the form of God that another reveres, the contempt falls on your own God. Remember, everyone is a pilgrim towards the same goal. Some take one route, others take another.

Message For The Day….No Need For Scriptures, If You Acquire Love…

Scriptures are only road-maps; at best they are guide-books that give directions for the destination. It is the actual journey that will reveal the hardships, the delays, the land-slips, the potholes as well as the beauty of the scenic route on the way, and the magnificence of the destination. No secondhand account can equal the firsthand experience! The symbols on the map are interpreted differently by different scholars according to their preconceived notions, predilections and pet theories. If you acquire Love, then you can dispense with the Scriptures; for the purpose of all the Scriptures is just that: to create the feeling of Sarvajana samaana prema (equal love for all), and to negate egoism which stands in the way. Reason too, if it comes in the way of this love, is to be discarded as ‘perverted’.
