” This is Funny …..An Amazing Rhyme …” !!!

This is funny….
GOA RADIO ORGANISED A COMPETITION FOR POEMS, IN WHICH THE FIRST LINE MUST BE ROMANTIC, BUT SECOND LINE SHOULD BE THE OPPOSITE.

Here is the ultimate prize winning poem…

My darling, my lover, my beautiful wife.
Marrying you messed up my life.

I see your face when I am dreaming.
That’s why I always wake up screaming.

Kind, intelligent, loving and hot;
This describes everything you are not.

I love your smile, your face and your eyes,
Damn, I’m good at telling lies!

My feelings for you, no words can tell,
Except for maybe ‘Go to hell.’

What inspired this amazing rhyme?
A bottle of tequila, with some lime!!

” Mother is Mother “….Animal Kingdom No Exception …

A parent’s love for their child knows no boundaries, and this is true both of us and of our animal friends. In these heartwarming photos of animal parenting, you’ll recognize many of the same tender and stressful childhood moments that you may have also experienced as a parent or a child.

Ecologists tend to separate animals into two groups based on their parenting – the r and K categories. The K category includes animals like elephants, cats, and us – animals that have relatively few offspring with longer gestational periods. Their fewer offspring require more focused care, and for a longer time – the sort of parenting we’re used to. Parents from the r category go for quantity over quality, with many offspring that grow quickly and individually have small chances of survival.

Joke of the day…” Read all about…” !!!

A newsboy was standing on the corner with a stack of papers, yelling, “Read all about it; Fifty people swindled!” Fifty people swindled! Curios, a man walked over, bought a paper, and said, “Hey kid, this is an old paper, where’s the story about the big swindle?” The newsboy ignored him and went on calling out, “read all about it; Fifty-one people swindled!”

Laughter is The Best Medicine …” You Give me 100 lashes …” !!!

The Punishment for Drinking Booze …
An Englishman, a German and a Frenchman are all in Saudi Arabia, sharing a smuggled crate of booze, when all of a sudden, Saudi police rush in and arrest them. The mere possession of alcohol is a severe offence in Saudi Arabia, so for this terrible crime they are all sentenced to 50 whip lashes each.

On the day of their punishment the Sheikh who will whip them announced: “It’s my wife’s birthday today, and she has asked me to allow each of you one wish before your whipping.” The German was first in line, he thought for a while and then said: “Please tie a pillow to my back.” This was done, but the pillow only lasted 20 lashes before the whip went through.

When the punishment was done the German had to be carried away bleeding and crying with pain. The Frenchman was next up. After watching the German in horror he said smugly: “Please fix two pillows to my back.” But even two pillows could only take 35 lashes before the whip went through again and the Frenchman was soon led away whimpering loudly.

The Englishman was the last one up, but before he could say anything, the Sheikh turned to him and said: “You are from a most beautiful part of the world and your culture is one of the finest in the world. For this, you may have two wishes!”

“Thank you, your Most Royal and Merciful highness,” the Englishman replied. “In recognition of your kindness, my first wish is that you give me not 50, but 100 lashes.” “Not only are you an honorable, handsome and powerful man, you are also very brave,” the Sheikh said with an admiring look on his face. “If 100 lashes is what you desire, then so be it. And your second wish, what is it to be?” the Sheikh asked. The Englishman smiled and said, “Tie the Frenchman and the German to my back.”

Message For the Day…” Do Your Work with utmost sincerity and Dedication… “

For success in any aspect of life, three things are essential – knowledge, skill and balance. If you combine knowledge with skill, you get balance which is very important. It means maintaining equipoise in the face of praise and criticism. To stay balanced, skill is necessary. If you lose balance, suffering will soon follow. When you are given some work, you should put your heart and soul into it, and do it with utmost sincerity and dedication, to the limit of your capacity. Take for example, a person who is entrusted with planting trees and developing a garden. If he does the work wholeheartedly without getting affected by praise or blame, the plants will come up well, and the garden will get transformed into a place of beauty. When the Guru comes to see that garden and feels happy with the growth of the plants, the joy of the Guru becomes the grace He bestows on that individual, and that grace will confer great happiness to that person.

Message For the Day…” Inner Purity is the Greatest Wealth One Can Acquire…”

Only by the light of the Divine lamp inside can  blossom  you as a worthwhile person. Inner purity is the greatest wealth that one can acquire; it is the wick in the container of the heart. Devotion is the oil and Divine Grace is the fire with which the lamp of wisdom can be lit. The prime requisite for achieving Divine Grace is to have harmony in thought, word and deed.

Joke of the Day …” what game encourages drinking and driving …” !!!!

Did you hear about the golfer trying to buy a new golf club? He looked at club after club after club. His friend asked him “Why are you taking so long?” He replied “I am looking for a hole in one!”

One day, a grandpa and his grandson go golfing. The young one is really good and the old one is just giving him tips. They are on hole 8 and there is a tree in the way and the grandpa says, “When I was your age, I would hit the ball right over that tree.” So, the grandson hits the ball and it bumps against the tree and lands not to far from where it started. “Of course,” added the grandpa, “when I was your age, the tree was only 3 feet tall.”

Q. What game encourages drinking and driving?
A. Golf

Message For the day…” Your Body is The Temple of God… “

The scriptures declare that body is the temple and God is installed therein. Hence consider your body as a vessel for cooking food, given on loan for hosting the festival of life. Can we return it to God, the Owner, in a worse condition? Should we not scrub it clean and return it bright and free from rust and dust? When the festival of life began, we received a pure, fresh and bright body from Him, innocent of evil. We have now inflicted dents, leaks and other signs of damage, through lust, greed, hatred, anger and envy. Do not return His property in poor condition. You must return it to Him, as pure as He gave it, to be most worthy of His Grace. Remember the purpose of your birth; and leverage your full potential and capability to achieve it. Wear the garland of devotion around your neck and saturate your thought, word and deed with Divine Love.
