An Unexpected VIP Guest On Board !!!…..

One lucky sailor had an incredible experience when a baby sea lion boarded his boat in California then spent over half an hour affectionately snuggling into his leg.

The man, called J.R. Gilkinson, uploaded a video of the astonishing event to YouTube where it has had 290,000 views.

Gilkinson described the footage as ‘My Life Changing Experience with a Baby Sea Lion’ and ‘A day at sea that I will never forget!!!’

The sailor said that the welcome visitor hopped on their boat approximately two miles off the coast of Newport Beach, California, on May 18.

The pup first swims round the boat and then climbs aboard. Eventually the creature moves closer to the Gilkinson and then nuzzles and rubs its head against the man’s leg.

Throughout the video he can be heard urging his 11-year-old niece not to touch the wild animal. But after several minutes of unusual affection from the animal, he can resist the temptation no longer.

The sea lion then apparently stayed with Gilkinson for some time. The man told The Huffington Post: ‘It was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had.

‘I appreciated every second because I didn’t know how long it was going to last.’ He continued that the encounter was ‘completely on the sea lion’s terms.’

‘He wanted to come rest on me,’ Gilkinson said. ‘So we let him.’

Wildlife experts are concerned about the health of sea lion pups in California this year.

Sarah Wilkin, the marine mammal stranding coordinator for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, told Global Post that five times the usual number of the baby animals are coming into the Southern Californian coastline weak and near death.

‘Nobody was quite prepared for the scope of this,’ said Wilkin. ‘The major common factor for all these stranded pups is that they’re coming in emaciated, dehydrated, basically starving.

‘They have been unable to find enough food to sustain themselves.’

Divine Image of Shirdi Sai….

Sit quietly with me and give up worrying…..

The kind and merciful Sai Baba , said many a time , the following sweet words in the Masjid-..( He who loves Me most , , always sees Me. . The whole world is desolate to him without Me, he tells no stories but Mine. ..He …ceaselessly meditates upon Me and always chant My Name. .l feel indebted to him who surrenders himself completely to Me and ever remember Me. ..l shall repay his debt by giving him salvation ( self realization)..l am dependent on him who thinks and hungers after Me and who does not eat anything without first offering it to Me..He who comes to Me, becomes one with Me, just as river gets to the sea and becomes merged (one ) with it. .So leaving out pride and egoism and with no trace of them , , you should surrender yourself to Me Who is seated in your heart. …-Shirdi Sai Baba. ..

Mesmerizing Self Portraits Made by 14 years Boy !!!!

A 14-year-old photographer has taken the internet by storm with his creative and dreamlike images that make normal-sized people appear tiny.

Zev Hoover, from Natick, Massachusetts, goes by the Flickr username Fiddle Oak, a play on ‘little folk’, which adequately describes the incredible images that make up his ‘miniature world’.

In his fantastical photos in which people are digitally shrunken, acorns make excellent seats, Popsicle sticks are the ideal size for building rafts, and paper airplanes are viable modes of transport.

Zev Hoover

Zev Hoover

Zev told Today.com that while he takes the photos with his own camera, his older sister Nell, 18, was the brains behind the original tiny people concept.

‘She is sort of my partner in crime,’ he said, adding that she is ‘more of a writer’.

While Nell may have come up with the idea, Zev executes the images beautifully, and his unique work has attracted the attention of professional photographers and designers.

The 14-year-old, who also writes a blog, explained the complicated process of how he creates his dreamlike images, many of which feature him as the main subject.
Zev Hoover

Complex: The process involves capturing the background, shrinking photos of people in similar lighting, manipulating the images in Photoshop and editing the color scheme so that it all matches

Miniscule: In another image, a boy appears small enough to fit inside a tiny paper boat, made from a page in a book

The process involves capturing the background image first, shrinking photos of people in similar lighting, manipulating the images in Photoshop and editing the color scheme so that it all matches.

‘It takes a long time,’ he said of the resulting images, which are so otherworldly that they almost look like drawings.

One image shows a boy constructing a house of playing cards, his body the same size as the cards.

In another image, a ‘miniature’ boy and girl sit upon a raft made of Popsicle sticks, the sail of which is a single leaf.

Stimulating: Zev gets a lot of support from the Flickr community, where he shares his work. ‘It’s two-way, and it inspires and invigorates me a lot,’ he said of the website. ‘There is so much good energy’

Many of Zev’s images explore nature, including one in which a boy perches inside the shell of an acorn.

Another nature-themed photo, which plays with and distorts size ratio, shows a miniscule-looking boy sitting on the edge of a rock, a violin in his hand.

Photography and design websites have picked up on Zev’s work, lauding him for being so talented and creative at such a young age.

‘Zev has proven to be one photographer to keep an eye on,’ wrote one MyModernMet.com writer.

Natural environment: A number of the teen’s images explore humans’ relationship with nature

The blogger goes on to praise Zev’s style, which ‘takes the viewer along on a magical journey of rediscovering the world around us.’

The youngest of four, Zev – who is home-schooled by his sculptural artist mother – grew up in a household that fostered creative pursuits.

He began taking his first photos at the age of eight with a cell phone camera, before acquiring two professional instruments – a regular camera and a video camera – which he lovingly named ‘Betsy’ and ‘Diana’.

Not only is he a talented photographer, but Zev also seems to be wise beyond his years in other fields as well.

In his spare time, he browses technology blogs, builds and flies model airplanes, and dreams about going to college to study art or graphic design.

But despite all his ambition and success thus far, Zev is markedly down-to-earth.

When asked about all the attention he has been getting recently, he told Today.com: ‘It’s just so lucky and random

World”s First Practical Flying Car !!!!

The idea of a flying car has fascinated dreamers and aviation geeks alike since humans first got off the ground with powered flight. The concept has obvious advantages: the “go anywhere, anytime” freedom of an automobile without any of the traffic congestion that terrestrial drivers face on a daily basis.

Featured in movies like Back to the Future and Blade Runner, this mode of transportation has been restricted to the realm of science-fiction due to the complexity of the drivetrain required and the training that would be needed to operate such a vehicle.

Now, a company called Terrafugia has put forward their vision for a practical flying car. Using electric-gasoline hybrid technology from the cutting edge of the automobile industry and autopilot technology adopted from the aviation industry, the company thinks they have what’s needed to bring a flying car to the mass market.

The concept started as the Terrafugia Transition, a plane that can be driven on the road

Photoshoot From The Top Of The World !!!!

Photographer scales Dubai’s Burj Khalifa to capture the vertigo-

inducing view from the very tip of the world’s tallest structure

  • The Burj Khalifa stands 2,722ft over the city of Dubai
  • It has been the world’s tallest building since 2010

Joe McNally ascended more than half a mile to the very tip of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the world’s tallest manmade structure, to capture the breathtaking view from the top.

And not content with shooting a set of photos that will have the world gripping its swivel chairs, he has also published a vertigo-inducing behind-the-scenes video on YouTube showing how he did i

Mr McNally, a photographer with 26 years’ experience shooting for National Geographic, had been visiting Dubai to teach at a special photography event in the city state.

He was given access to the 2,722ft Burj Khalifa after three years in correspondence with the building’s administrator.

The route to the top starts at 5am in a service lift that runs right up the spine of the building to level 160, the very last concrete floor in the towering structure.

After that, accompanied by two of the building’s maintenance workers, Mr McNally climbed a series of zig-zagging metal staircases up several more floors until they reached a final ladder.

‘Just physically climbing you’re talking about going straight up for a couple of hundred metres,’ the photographer said.

‘You’re safety harnessed to the ladder. It’s kind of a ratchet system where you can actually lean back and rest when you need to.

‘And that just is a straight ladder right up to the very top. It’s a lengthy climb and it’s physically daunting task..

At the top of the building the workers helped Mr McNally ease himself out onto the side of the Burj Khalifa’s spire, where he hung from safety ropes above a drop of more than half a mile.

There he also photographed the two men who helped him reach the record-breaking point.

‘You don’t want to go to the top of this tower and just take a snap looking down,’ he said. ‘You want to have a reference point, you want sense of humanity in the midst of this giant structure.’

Know About Shingnapur, Maharashtra on this Day…Shani Jayanthi…June 8 2013!!!

Shani Jayanti, or Sani Jayanthi, is believed to be the day when Lord Shani, one of the Navagrahas made its appearance on Earth. In 2013, the date of Shani Jayanti is June 8, Saturday. The day is doubly auspicious in 2013 as it falls on a Saturday. Shani is feared by those people who believe and follow astrology, as Shanaishchara has the capacity to create malefic influence on the horoscope and thus in their life.

In Hinduism, Lord Shani is the son of Surya (Sun God) and his wife Chaya. Suryadev’s wife Chaya had gone into intense meditation to please Lord Shiva for a son. Due to the intensity of her meditation and the rigor and austerity of the sun, the fetus in her womb turned blackish in colour before even being born After Shani Dev was born, Suryadev went to see his wife and the new born baby. However, seeing Shani’s black colour, Suryadev refused to accept him as his child.
Suryadev doubted his wife and said to her that such dark child cannot be his. Seeing such an attitude of his father, Shani Dev started to think very high of his mother, but developed hatred and anger for his father.
To become more Tejasvi and Parakrami than his father, Shani went into intense meditation to please Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva finally got impressed and asked Shani for his wish. In return, Shani Dev asked Shiva to make him more powerful than his father.
His wish was granted and Lord Shiva made him the judge and made him more powerful than his own father, Suryadev.
There is a small village in Maharashtra called Shingnapur where even today not even one door of any house remains shut. Despite doors being opened all the time here, there is never a case of theft happening. This is because of a belief that if anyone dares to steal anything from any house, Lord Shani himself will punish the culprit.  This place has a special grace of Shani Dev.
According to the mythological scriptures, Shani was born in Shingnapur. Though there is no temple of Shani here, but the village has his statue. The sculpture is black. Its length is approximately 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet 1 inch in width.
There is a famous story of this village. Once a Pandit visited this village. He was blind. One night when he was sleeping, Shani Dev appeared in his dream and asked him to visit a hill inside which was his idol to bring it out.
When Panditji told him that he is blind and won’t be able to this work, Lord Shani gave him eyesight. When the Pandit woke up, he was happy to see everything and the first thing he did was take out the idol as asked by Shani Dev. When the idol was taken out,-  people established it in a place and descendants of the priest and other residents worship Lord Shani’s idol even today.
On Shani Jayanti day, people perform special pujas at Navagraha Temples or in Shani Temples. Those Hindus having Saturn cycle or Shani cycle or Sade Sathi in their horoscope perform special pujas like Shani Yagya or Homa. Some devotees observe a fast (fasting or upvaas) on the day and the rules observed are similar to Shanivar Vrat or Saturday Fasting.Shani dev is also the god worshipped on Saturday or Shanivar. .  Visiting Navagraha shrines, Shani temples or temples of Lord Ganesha on the day is considered auspicious.
Depending upon the condition of Shani, people are provided with results. Among all nine planets, Shani is considered to be the most important because it stays on a zodiac for the maximum time, which is two and a half years.
This year, on June 8, Shani Jayanti will be celebrated all over the country. The Amavasya falling on this Saturday has special time to worship Shani Dev.
Coincidently, this year, Shani Jayanti is also on the same day as Amavasya. So it is rare thing and very lucky for people.

To support himself, Liu collects garbage all the way during the journey and he is now 20 miles away from his hometown, according to local media.

car is seen in the water as a span of highway bridge sits in the Skagit River, 2013 after collapsing near the town of Mt Vernon, Washington late Thursday.

The bridge collapse that sent cars and drivers tumbling into a frigid river in Washington state appears to have been caused when a semi-trailer truck carrying an oversize load struck a bridge support beam, officials said on Friday.

The truck crossed the bridge safely before a portion of the structure collapsed, sending two vehicles and a mass of concrete and steel into the Skagit River.

Three people had to be rescued, officials said.

A man collects water as he bathes in an industrial waste-foam polluted section of the Yamuna River, on the outskirts of New Delhi.

The Yamuna River, holy to Hindus, traverses various urban centers like Delhi, Mathura, and Agra. These large urban centers draw fresh river water for various activities. In return, almost the entire waste water generated by these centers is disposed off into the river.

This is the prime reason for deterioration of Yamuna River water quality, according to the Central Pollution Control Board.
