There is no point in talking sweetly if there is no sweetness in your heart. Sweetness in speech and bitterness in heart is not the quality of a human being. There should be sweetness in your thought, word and deed. This is the true sign of a human being. Human beings are considered most sacred because they have the unique quality of love in them. God incarnates in human form only to spread the message of love. Once you have love in your heart, you can conquer the whole world. There is love in you, but you are not able to express it in the proper way. Develop the spirit of brotherhood. Even when you come across your bitter rival, address him as brother and talk to him with love. When you address him as brother, his heart will melt and hatred will disappear at once. Hence fill your life with love. Nothing is superior to love in this world.

குன்று தோறாடும் குமரன் தமிழ் நாட்டில் உள்ள திருவாரூர் மாவட்டம், குடவாசல் வட்டம் கூந்தலூரில் வள்ளி, தெய்வயானையுடன் குமரகுருபரனாக, வரங்களை வாரி வழங்கும் வள்ளலாக கோவில் கொண்டுள்ளான். கூந்தலூர் ஆனந்தவல்லி உடனுறை ஜம்புகாரண்யேஸ்வரர் ஆலயம் திருநாவுக்கரசரால் பாடல் பெற்ற வைப்புத் தலமாக இருந்தாலும் .முருகன் ஆலயமாகவே புகழ் பெற்றுள்ளது. அருணகிரிநாதர் இத்தலத்து முருகனை “தரையினில் வெகு வழி சார்ந்த மூடனை” என்ற திருப்புகழால் சிறப்பித்துள்ளார்.இந்த ஆலயம் 1600 ஆண்டுகள் பழமையானது. இந்த ஆலயத்தில் முருகப் பெருமான் தேவமயிலுடன் ஈசான்ய பாகத்தில் எழுந்தருளியுள்ளது தனிச் சிறப்பாகும். மேலும் தன்னை வணங்கி நிற்கும் சனி பகவானுக்கு எதிரில் முருகப் பெருமான் கோயில் கொண்டு அருள் செய்வது வேறு எங்கும் இல்லாத தனிச் சிறப்பாகும்.

என்று அருணகிரிநாதர் அருளியபடி, கர்ம வினைப்பயனாக நமக்கு சனி பகவானால் ஏற்படும் பாதிப்புகளிலிருந்து கூந்தலூர் குமரகுருபரன் நம்மைக் காக்கிறார்.திருக்கூந்தலூரில் உரோம மகரிஷி பல ஆண்டுகள் தவம் இயற்றி இத்தலத்து சிவனை வழிபட்டு வந்தார். இப்பகுதியில் உள்ள மக்களின் வறுமை நீங்க தன் தாடியிலிருந்து பொன் வரவழைத்து அளித்து வந்தார். ஒரு நாள் சிவன் திருவிளையாடலால் தாடியிலிருந்து பொன் வரவழைக்க முடியவில்லை.இதனால் மனம் வருந்திய சித்தர் தன் தாடியை நீக்கிவிட்டு நீராட மறந்து ஈசனை வணங்க ஆலயம் சென்றடைந்தார்.

நீராடாமல் ஆலயம் புகத்துணிந்த சித்தரை விநாயகரும், குமரப் பெருமானும் தடுத்து நிறுத்தியதாகவும், புறத்தூமையை விட அகத்தூய்மையே சிறந்தது என்ற உண்மையை நிலைநாட்ட, பிறகு சிவனே ஆலயத்துக்கு வெளியே வந்து காட்சி அளித்ததாகவும் கூறப்படுகிறது. இது ஒரு சனி,செவ்வாய் பரிகார ஸ்தலமாக விள்ங்குகிறது.இவ்வாலயம் கும்பகோணத்துக்கு அருகிலுள்ள நாச்சியார் கோயிலிலிருந்து பூந்தோட்டம் செல்லும் வழியில் 10 கி.மீ தொலைவில் உள்ளது. இனி இத்தலத்துத் திருப்புகழையும் அதன் பொருளையும் காண்போம்.

மண்ணுலகில் பல (தீய) வழிகளிலும் போய் கெடுகின்ற அறிவில்லாதவனை, குடி வெறி கொண்டவன் போன்ற பித்தனை, நீதி, பொறுமை முதலிய நற்குணங்களை விரும்பாத (மத) செருக்குக் கொண்ட அறிவிலாப் பொருள் போன்றவனை, ஒரு மகிமையும் இல்லாத தாழ் நிலையில் இருக்கும் வீணனை, மிகுந்த நல்ல கேள்வியையும்

தவநெறி தனைவிடு தாண்டு காலியை
யவமதி யதனில்பொ லாங்கு தீமைசெய்
சமடனை வலியஅ சாங்க மாகிய …… தமியேனை

தவநெறியையும் விட்டுக் கண்ட வழியில் திரிபவனை, கெட்ட புத்தியால் கேடு, தீமை செய்கின்ற குணங்கெட்டவனை, மிக ஒழுங்கீனமுடைய துணையற்றவனை,

விரைசெறி குழலியர் வீம்பு நாரியர்
மதிமுக வனிதையர் வாஞ்சை மோகியர்
விழிவலை மகளிரொ டாங்கு கூடிய …… வினையேனை

நறுமணம் நிறைந்த கூந்தலை உடையவர், பிடிவாதமுள்ள மாதர், சந்திரனை ஒத்த முகத்தை உடைய மாதர், விருப்பத்தை எழுப்பும் காம மயக்கிகள், கண் என்னும் வலையை வீசும் மகளிர்- இத்தகையோருடன் அவ்வச் சமயங்களில் கூடிய தொழில் உடையவனாகிய தீவினை மிகுந்தவனை,

வெகுமல ரதுகொடு வேண்டி யாகிலு
மொருமல ரிலைகொடு மோர்ந்து யானுனை
விதமுறு பரிவொடு வீழ்ந்து தாடொழ …… அருள்வாயே

நிரம்ப மலர் கொண்டு விரும்பிப் பூசித்தாகிலும், அல்லது ஒரு பூவோ ஒரு இலையோ கொண்டாகிலும், உன்னை நினைந்து, நல்ல வகையான அன்புடன் கீழே வீழ்ந்து உனது திருவடியைத் தொழுமாறு அருள்வாயாக.

ஒருபது சிரமிசை போந்த ராவண
னிருபது புயமுட னேந்து மேதியு
மொருகணை தனிலற வாங்கு மாயவன் …… மருகோனே

பத்துத் தலைகளுடன் போருக்கு வந்த ராவணன், இருபது கரங்களுடன் ஏந்தின வாளானது, ஒரே பாணத்தால் அற்று விழும்படி (பாணத்தைச்) செலுத்தின திருமாலின் மருகனே!

உனதடி யவர்புக ழாய்ந்த நூலின
ரமரர்கள் முனிவர்க ளீந்த பாலகர்
உயர்கதி பெறஅரு ளோங்கு மாமயி …… லுறைவோனே

உன்னுடைய அடியார்களும், உனது திருப்புகழை ஆராய்ந்த நூல் வல்லவர்களும், தேவர்களும், முனிவர்களும், கொடையால் ரக்ஷிப்போர்களும் உயர்ந்த நற்கதியைப் பெற அருள் விளங்கும் அழகிய மயிலில் வீற்றிருப்பவனே!

குரைகழல் பணிவொடு கூம்பி டார்பொரு
களமிசை யறமது தீர்ந்த சூரர்கள்
குலமுழு தனைவரு மாய்ந்து தூளெழ …… முனிவோனே

ஒலிக்கின்ற கழல் அணிந்த உனது திருவடியை தாழ்மையுடன் கும்பிடாதவர்களும், சண்டை செய்யும் போர்க்களத்தே தரும நெறியைக் கை விட்டவர்களுமான சூராதி அவுணர்களது குல முழுமையும் மாண்டு போய்ப் பொடியாகும்படிக் கோபித்தவனே!

கொடுவிட மதுதனை வாங்கி யேதிரு
மிடறினி லிருவென ஏந்து மீசுரர்
குருபர னெனவரு கூந்த லூருறை …… பெருமாளே.

கொடிய விடத்தைக் ‘கொடு’ என வாங்கி, அழகிய கழுத்தினில் இரு என்று அதை நிறுத்தி, அங்கேயே அதைத் தாங்கி நிலைக்கவைத்த சிவபெருமானுக்குக் குருமூர்த்தி என வந்து கூந்தலூரில் குடி கொண்டுள்ள பெருமாளே!

He showered divine mercy on us and solved the toughest problems that defied solution, in remarkably simple ways. When He was near and dear to us, we were carried away by pride that we had His grace and did not try to fill ourselves with that supreme joy, to dive deep into the flood of His grace. We sought from Him mere external victory and temporal benefits, ignoring the vast treasure that could have filled our hearts. We never contemplated on His reality. We might be born many times over, but can we ever have such a friend and kinsman again?”, remarked Arjuna recounting the time he spent with Krishna.

” தை அமாவசை … நன்றி நவிலும் தினம் “….

பிரகலாதனின் தந்தை இரண்யன். திருமால், நரசிம்ம அவதாரம் எடுத்து, இவனை அழித்த போது, பிரகலாதன் சோகமாய் இருந்தான். அவன், ‘தந்தை, தன்னை கொடுமைப்படுத்தினாரே… அந்த கொடுமைக்கான தண்டனையைத் தான் அவர் அனுபவிக்கிறார்…’ என்று நினைக்கவில்லை. என்ன இருந்தாலும், தந்தை அல்லவா… வருத்தம் இருக்கத்தானே செய்யும்!
பிரகலாதன் வருத்ததை அறிந்த நரசிம்மர் அவனை அழைத்து, வாஞ்சையுடன் அவனது தலையை தடவியபடி, ‘பிரகலாதா… ஒரு வரம் கேளேன்…’ என்றார்.
‘சுவாமி… வரம் கேள் என்கிறீர்களே… பிரதிபலனை எதிர்பார்த்தா உங்களிடம் பக்தி செய்தேன். இல்லையே…’வரம் கேள்’ என்கிறீர்கள். நான் கேட்காமல் போனால், உங்கள் சொல்லை தட்டிய பாவத்திற்கு ஆளாவேன். அதனால், சுவாமி, என் தந்தைக்கு நல்ல கதியைக் கொடுங்கள்…’ என்றான். இதுதான் நன்றியறிதல் என்பது! பெற்றவர்களும், நம் முன்னோர்களும் நல்லவர்களோ, கெட்டவர்களோ அவர்கள் மோட்ச கதியை அடைய, நாம் கடவுளிடம் பிரார்த்தனை செய்ய வேண்டும். இதற்காகத்தான் தை அமாவாசை போன்ற நிகழ்வுகள் ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளன.
சூரியன் தன் வடதிசை பயணத்தை ஆரம்பிக்கும் உத்ராயண காலத்தில், தை பிறக்கிறது. இந்த மாதத்து அமாவாசை மிகவும் விசேஷத்திற்குரியது. ஆடி முதல் மார்கழி வரை நம் முன்னோர் பூமிக்கு வந்து, நம்மை பாதுகாக்கின்றனர். பின், தை அமாவாசையன்று விடை பெற்று, பிதுர்லோகத்துக்கு செல்வதாக ஐதீகம். இந்த நாளில், அவர்களை நாம் நன்றியுடன் வழியனுப்பி வைக்க வேண்டும்.
தை அமாவாசை விரதம் மிகவும் எளிது. அன்று காலையில், ஏதாவது தீர்த்தக்கரைகளுக்குச் சென்று, தர்ப்பணம் செய்ய வேண்டும். அருகிலுள்ள கோவிலில் முன்னோர் நற்கதியடைய கடவுளைப் பிரார்த்திக்க வேண்டும். தர்ப்பணம் கொடுக்கும் நேரம் வரையாவது சாப்பிடாமல் இருக்க வேண்டும். நம்மை எத்தனையோ நாட்கள் பாதுகாத்த அவர்களுக்காக, நாம், ஒரு வேளை பட்டினி கிடப்பது ஒன்றும் பெரிய விஷயமல்ல. அதே நேரம், மற்றவர்களின் பட்டினியைப் போக்கும் வகையில், அன்னதானம் செய்ய வேண்டும்.
அன்று, நம் குலதெய்வம் கோவிலுக்குச் சென்று வர வேண்டும். ஏனெனில், அங்கே, நம் முன்னோர் அனைவரின் பாதமும் பட்டிருக்கும். அந்த புண்ணிய பூமியில், நம் பாதமும் படுவது, மிகுந்த புண்ணியத்தைத் தரும். நம் முன்னோர்களின் பெயரையும், அவர்களது பெருமையையும் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு சொல்லி, அவர்கள் வழியில் நடக்கும்படி அறிவுறுத்த வேண்டும்.
தை அமாவாசை நன்னாளை, நன்றியறிதல் தினமாக கொண்டாட தயாராவோம்!

Message For the Day…’ Benefit of Listening to Guru…”

Do not look at the world with a worldly eye. Look upon it with the eye of the Soul (Atma), as the projection of the Supreme Self (Paramatma). Then you can cross the horizon of dualities into the region of the Oneness. The One is experienced as many because of the forms and names people have imposed on it. That is the result of the mind playing its game. Withdrawal from sensory objects promotes inner exploration (nivritti), not outer inquiry and activity (pravritti). Along inner exploration lies the path of intellectual inquiry (jnana). The sacred activities like rituals and sacrifices laid down in the Scriptures help only to cleanse the consciousness. The freedom that makes one aware of the truth, is gained only by listening to the Guru, ruminating over what has been listened to, and meditating on its validity and significance. Only those who have detached their minds from desire can benefit from the Guru

History Of The Temple : An ardent devotee of Lord Hanuman had dreamt of building a temple for the Lord during his life time and took it on himself to achieve this. He had got a granite stone statue for the Lord made from his own savings. The statue was very beautiful, the eyes of the lord were pleasant and Lord Hanuman was majestic in look in standing posture with folded hands. The statue was measuring around twelve feet in height.

 

Hardship faced : Hanumathavanam HanumanThe devotee had kept the statue in open in Thanigachala Mudali Street in Tyagaraja Nagar, Chennai where he was living. He use to perform daily puja to the Lord from his own savings. He had the ambition to build a temple for the Lord and spread the greatness of the Lord to many. He was not able to mobilize enough funds for building a temple for the Lord. The place he was living was on rental, and these activities of his had put other tenants to inconvenience. He was then forced to move out of this place, and he had found a place in nearby Ashok Nagar area. He had moved the statue of the Lord also with him.

 

Continued efforts : He continued his efforts to raise funds for the building of the temple. He had failed on this account but he had never failed to perform daily puja to the Lord. His efforts to keep the statue in his house, gave raise to lot of inconvenience to others who were sharing the same plot. Then after twelve years of his efforts had not yielded any fruitful results in late eighties he had shifted the statue of the Lord Hanuman to one corner of the park maintained by Chennai city Corporation nearby.

 

Hanumanthavanam TempleManagement : Today the “Hanumanthavanam Trust” manages the affairs of the temple. Daily pujas are performed by the temple priest. The pujas can be got performed by the temple priest or devotee themselves can perform it. The devotees can bring the ‘prasadam’ and offer to the Lord and no ‘prasadam’ are cooked in the temple. This temple is called ‘suya puja koil’. In case any devotee wants any help in collection of the puja samagris the trust will help them if the required amount is deposited with them. Today vadamalai, butter alankaram are possible with the help of this group.

 

Functions in the temple and social activates of the association : Sri Rama Navami, Sri Hanumath Jayanthi are celebrated in a grand manner. The trust feeds deserving fifty people daily. They also help school children with free uniforms and books. There are some special classes conducted for weak students. Today there is a big hall around thirty feet by twenty feet in front of the sannadhi of the Lord Hanuman. The temple is in plot measuring thirty feet in the front and ten feet on the back. There is a small sannadhi for Lord Genesha also.

All your actions must be aimed at purifying your minds and hearts to experience the Divine. When the heart is pure, the light of wisdom shines. The illumined heart becomes the receptacle of pure love. A person without love is a living corpse. Love is not the relationship between man and woman, or between man and other objects. It is the inherent life-force in every being. “I am the Spirit immanent in all beings (Mamaatma Sarvabhootaatma)”. The Divine Self is present in all beings and has no form. It is experienced as Love. Love is our lifebreath, our soul! Young and old alike, must cultivate steady, unchanging, and unwavering love. All of you must be filled with a sense of selfless dedication, arising from service to others (seva) in which there is no egoistic pride. Revel in giving rather than receiving.

Pure and unselfish love towards all living beings considering them as embodiments of the Divine, with no expectation of reward, is alone true love. Love must be free from dislikes, friendly, and compassionate towards all beings (Adweshtā sarvabhūtānām maitraḥ karuñaivacha)!Whatever be the vicissitudes one may face, whatever be the personal sorrows and privations one may undergo, true love should remain unaffected. Today, when any difficulty arises or when some trouble crops up, love turns into hatred. True love is the sweet fruit that grows out of the fragrant flower of good deeds. Love rules without recourse to the sword. It binds without laws. Like the lotus which blooms when the Sun rises, the heart of man blossoms when love enters it. Like the glow of the flame in a fire, like the rays of the Sun, Divine Love is the natural quality present in every human being.

We see the outer circumstances, the processes that result in the final event, and in our ignorance we judge that this set of causes produced these effects. We guess the nature of emotions and feelings from what we gauge from events. But circumstances, events, emotions, and feelings are all simply ‘instruments’ in His hands, serving His will and His purpose. When the moment comes, He uses them for His plan and brings about the outcome He has willed. He is the embodiment of time (Kala); He comes as the Master of Time. The force of Atmic faith is the bridge that spans the chasm, and for those who have developed that force and faith, floods are of no concern. With strong faith as their safe support, they can reach the other bank, braving all dangers. All this, is but a grand puppet show by the Creator, the Master Director!

Message For the Day… ” Develop Self Confidence and Have Firm Faith in God…”

Your life may be compared to a stalk of sugar cane. Like the cane, which is hard and has many knots, life is full of difficulties. But these difficulties must be overcome to enjoy the bliss of the Divine, just as the sugarcane has to be crushed and its juice converted into cane-sugar (jaggery) to enjoy the permanent sweetness. Enduring bliss can be got only by overcoming trials and tribulations. Gold cannot be made into an attractive jewel without it being subjected to the process of melting in a crucible and being beaten into the required shape. When I address devotees as, ‘golden one (Bangaru)’ or Divine Embodiments of Love, I really mean it! You must go through the vicissitudes of life with forbearance and become attractive jewels. You should not allow yourselves to be overwhelmed by difficulties. Develop self-confidence and have firm faith in God.
