ஸந்நிதிக்கு வரும் குழந்தைகளுக்கு வாழைப்பழமோ கற்கண்டோ ஸ்ரீபெரியவாள் தவறாமல் வழங்குவார். தாமே நேராகக் கொடுப்பதுண்டு; அணுக்கத் தொண்டர்களைக் கொண்டு கொடுப்பதுமுண்டு.

விடுமுறை நாள்களில் பள்ளி ஆசிரியர்கள் பஸ் அமர்த்திக்கொண்டு பசங்களுடன் வருவது வழக்கம். அதனால் அந்நாள்களில் பணியாளர்கள் முன்னதாகவே வாழைப்பழமும் கற்கண்டும் நிறைய எடுத்து வைத்து விடுவார்கள்.

ஒரு விடுமுறை தினத்தன்று பெரியவாள் “இன்னிக்குக் கொழந்தைகளுக்கு வாழைப்பழம், கல்கண்டு குடுக்க வேண்டாம்” என்றார். ஏன் அப்படிச் சொன்னாரென்று புரியவில்லை.

தப தப என்று ஒரு பஸ்-லோட் பள்ளிச் சிறுவர்கள் ஆசிரியர்களுடன் வந்து விட்டனர். தம்மைக் காண வந்த சிட்டுக்களுக்கு ஒன்றும் தராமலா இந்த மா மதுர மஹா தாத்தா திருப்பி அனுப்பி வைப்பார் என்று பணியாளர் எண்ணினார்.

சரியாக அதே சமயம் திருமாளம் பஞ்சாபகேச ஐயர் என்ற பக்தர் ஒரு மூட்டை ஸஹிதம் வந்தார். மூட்டையைப் பெரியவாளுக்கு ஸமர்ப்பித்து, “பெரிவா ப்ரயோஜனப் படுத்திக்கணும்” என்று விண்ணப்பித்துக் கொண்டார்.

மூட்டையிலிருந்து குண்டு மல்லிகைகள் போன்ற நெற்பொரி. பெரியவாள் திருவமுது செய்து வந்தது அதைத்தான். இதை நினைத்தே அவர் ‘ப்ரயோஜனப் படுத்தி’க் கொள்ளச் சொன்னது. ஆனால் பெரியவாளோ தம்முடைய பிக்ஷைக் காலம் வரை தள்ளிப்போடாமல் அப்போதே அதைப் பிரயோஜனப்படுத்திக் கொண்டு விட்டார்.

பணியாளரைப் பார்த்து, “தேவாளுக்குப் பொரி ரொம்ப இஷ்டம். தெரியுமோ? கல்யாணத்துலகூட லாஜ ஹோமம்னு பொரி ஹோமம் பண்றாளோன்னோ? இந்தக் கொழந்தைகள்ளாம் தேவாள்தான். இவாளுக்கு வெல்லச் சக்கரையும் கொஞ்சம் சேர்த்து பொரி நெறய்ய விநியோகம் பண்ணுங்கோ. ஒடம்புக்கும் ஹிதம். மனஸுக்கும் ஸத்வம். பொரி சாப்பிட்டா பாபம் போறதுன்னு சாஸ்த்ரம்” என்றார்.

அவ்வாறே சிறாருக்கு வெல்லச் சர்க்கரை சேர்த்த பொரி வழங்கப்பட்டது. ஆவலாக வாங்கிக் கொண்டனர்.

தலைமையாசிரியர் வியப்பில் ஏற்பட்ட மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் சொன்னார் : “பசங்களில் பல பேருக்கு மஞ்சட்காமாலையும், வயிற்றுப்போக்கும். வாழைப்பழம் கூடாதென்று டாக்டர் சொல்லியிருக்கிறார். ‘பெரியவர்களோ வாழைப்பழம் கொடுப்பதுதானே வழக்கம்? அப்படிக் கொடுத்தால் பிரஸாதத்தை என்ன செய்வது?’ என்று கவலைப்பட்டுக் கொண்டேதான் வந்தேன். பெரியவர்களுக்குத் தெரியாததா? அதுதான் நெற்பொரி கொடுத்து அநுக்கிரஹித்திருக்கிறார்”.

அந்த தீர்க்க திருஷ்டி இருக்கட்டும். அது எல்லா மஹான்களுக்குமே உண்டுதான். ஆனால் அந்தப் பள்ளிப் பாலர்களை தேவர்கள் என்றாரே! அந்த எளிமை அவரொருவருக்கே உரித்தானதல்லவா?

The Incredible Journey of A Poor Boy From Kolkata to a Starring Role In Buckingham Palace !!!!

He began life in a slum apartment in the backstreets of Calcutta, yet rose to become the Royal footman who announced Prince George’s birth to an expectant nation.

To the cheers of thousands of people standing patiently outside Buckingham Palace, it was Badar Azim who strode proudly across the courtyard with the Queen’s Press Secretary Ailsa Anderson to mount the official acknowledgement of the baby’s safe arrival on an ornate easel.

Resplendent in his scarlet and black footman’s outfit, the uniform gave no clue to his humble background.

It is hard to imagine a prouder moment for a young man who has worked his way up from one of the most poverty-stricken corners of the world.

It was a mere twist of fate that Badar, 25, happened to be on duty at the Privy Purse door after the Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to the third in line to the Throne.

But this simple coincidence seems fitting in a 21st Century fairytale that has delighted his impoverished family in India.

Badar’s father Mohammed Rahim, a 52-year-old welder who earns £33 a month, and his mother Mumtaz Begum, 41, still live in the same slum dwelling in a rundown area of Calcutta where Badar spent his childhood. They are overwhelmed to be thrown into the spotlight thanks to their son’s success.

But according to the footman’s brother Mazhar, 20, who spoke to him after his starring role in delivering the news of the Royal birth, Badar himself has taken the whole experience in his stride.

‘He acted very normal about it but it was a proud moment for him,’ said Mazhar. ‘My parents are so proud. They knew nothing about the British Royal Family before he got the job. They were really surprised.

‘We did not know about any of it beforehand. We only read about it in the newspapers. My parents think Badar is blessed.’

Standing in their dank, two-room home, which is shared between nine members of their extended family including Badar’s other brother, 14-year-old Md Sameer, the footman’s mother added: ‘I am feeling on top of the world.’

To give you an idea of just how far Badar has travelled in his 25 years, just getting inside his family home requires negotiating several water-logged flights of stairs.

A bed dominates the shabby main room. In terms of other material assets, all the family own is a television and a couple of plastic chairs.

But although Badar’s father was barely able to afford to put food on the table, he valued the importance of education and scrimped and saved to send Badar to school.

‘We were an economically challenged family,’ said Mazhar quietly. ‘Our parents let us boys sleep on the bed and they slept on the floor. But my father wanted us to go to a good school so that we could learn.

‘He even borrowed money so that we could go forward.’

After struggling at a public school in the city, Badar was taken in by the charitable St Mary’s Orphanage and Day School.

Run by the Congregation of Christian Brothers of Ireland, it aims to help the destitute, homeless and underprivileged. Badar thrived in his new environment.

‘He is a funny guy and very creative,’ added Mazhar. ‘He used to play sports a lot. He was very enthusiastic but also serious about his studies.’

The orphanage later sponsored Badar to go to the International Institute of Hotel Management College in Calcutta, where he embarked on a degree in hospitality management.

Sanjukta Bose, the director of the college, recalls an eager and diligent student. ‘He was a decent boy who never created any problems,’ she said.

‘He was well-mannered and a good communicator. He was also punctual, well-groomed and decent, which is essential for roles in hotel management.’

After completing his first two years at the Institute, the orphanage raised another £10,000 to fly Badar to Scotland, where he completed his degree at Edinburgh’s Napier University.

He lived in digs in the Scottish capital, where he cooked his own curries because he could not get used to British cuisine. During his final year at Napier, Badar organised a ten-mile charity walk to raise money for the orphanage’s sponsorship scheme.

He graduated on June 15, 2011, and landed a job as a junior footman at Buckingham Palace in February the following year.

‘The conditions I live in now are so different from how I lived in India,’ he said.

‘The orphanage literally helps transform the lives of hundreds of children each year. The charity enabled me to come to Edinburgh and complete my studies – something others in India can only dream of.

‘If I hadn’t gone to St Mary’s, I would be working somewhere on the streets of Calcutta. It would have been very difficult to get a job in India because unless you have a good degree, you will not get a good job and a good salary.’

Pauline Gordon, a lecturer at Edinburgh’s Napier University, who leads the India Partnership – a scheme to bring disadvantaged children from the subcontinent to Britain – said: ‘Badar is the sweetest of boys I have met.

‘He’s particularly shy, quite reserved and old-fashioned. He’s also humble, polite and gracious.

‘He used to call me Ma’am but I told him to call me Pauline so now he calls me Pauline Ma’am – and I am only his teacher!

‘I got the shock of my life seeing him on television. I am so proud of him. He has done extremely well.

‘It took him a good few months to get the job at the Palace – he had a first interview and then the staff had to check out his credentials in India.

‘But he loves working at Buckingham Palace. He has been there for 18 months and has met the Queen.

‘At the moment he’s trying to extend his visa to stay in the country.

‘It runs out in October so he is trying to get the paperwork together and sort it out.

வெங்கடாத்திரி அகரத்தில் மகா பெரியவா மணலில் போட்ட அட்சதையை, அவரது ஆணைப்படி சேலம் வக்கீல் ராமசாமி ஐயரும்,அவரது மனைவியும் கண்களில் ஒற்றிக் கொண்டு தங்களது மேல்வேஷ்டி மற்றும் புடவைத் தலைப்பில் சர்வ ஜாக்கிரதையாக முடிந்து வைத்துக் கொண்டனர்.

எல்லோருக்கும் அவரவர் மேல்வஸ்திரத்திலோ,புடவைத் தலைப்பிலோ விழுமாறு அட்சதையைப் போட்ட மகா பெரியவா, தனக்கு மட்டும் மேல்வஸ்திரத்தில் போடாமல் ஏன் தரையில் போட்டார் என்று மருகிப் போனார் ராமசாமி ஐயர். எவ்வளவு முயன்றும்,யோசித்தும் இதற்கான விடை அவருக்குக் கிடைக்கவில்லை. மகான்களின் இயல்பை மனிதர்கள் அறிய முடியுமா?

சேலம் திரும்புவதற்கு ராமசாமி ஐயருக்கு மகா பெரியவா உத்தரவு கொடுத்த பிறகு,வெங்கடாத்திரி அகரத்தில் இருந்து மனைவியுடன் வண்டியில் புறப்பட்டார்.சுகமான காற்று உடலை வருடிக் கொண்டிருந்தாலும், ராமசாமி ஐயரின் மனம், மணலில் போட்ட அட்சதையிலேயே இருந்தது. ஆனால், சேலத்துக்கு வந்ததும் இந்த நிகழ்வு அன்றே அவரது நினைவில் இருந்து விடுபட்டது.

காரணம் – வழக்கமான அவரது வக்கீல் பணிகள். இயல்பு வேலைகளில் பிஸியானார் ராமசாமி ஐயர். வெங்கடாத்திரி அகரத்தில் இருந்து சேலத்துக்கு வந்த இரண்டாம் நாள் மதியம்… அன்று ஏதோ முக்கிய பணிக்காக வீட்டில் இருந்த ராமசாமி ஐயருக்கு, கனமான பதிவுத் தபால் ஒன்று வந்தது. அனுப்பியவர் முகவரியைப் பார்த்தார். அதில், அவரது மாமனாரின் பெயரும் விலாசமும் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டிருந்தது.

சாதாரணமாக ஒரு இன்லேண்ட் கடிதம் எழுதி, சம்பிரதாயத்துக்கு விசாரிப்பவர், பதிவுத் தபாலில் என்ன அனுப்பி இருப்பார் என்கிற ஆவலுடன், மனைவியையும் உடன் வைத்துக் கொண்டு பிரித்தார். உள்ளே – ரெஜிஸ்திரார் அலுவலகத்தில் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்ட பத்திரம் ஒன்று இருந்தது. ஒரு கணம் குழம்பியவர்,பத்திரத்தில் உள்ள வாசகங்களை முழுக்கப் படித்து விட்டுப் பிரமித்துப் போனார்.

பத்திரத்துடன் இருந்த ஒரு கடிதத்தில், ராமசாமியின் மாமனார் தன் கைப்பட எழுதி இருந்தார்: ‘வக்கீல் தொழிலில் சிறந்து விளங்கினாலும், சொந்தமாக நில புலன் எதுவும் இல்லாமல் இருந்து வரும் உங்களுக்கு – உங்கள் பெயரிலேயே ஏதாவது நிலம் எழுதி வைக்கலாம் என்று திடீரெனத் தோன்றியது. அதன் வெளிப்பாடுதான், இத்துடன் இணைத்திருக்கும் பத்திரம். தங்கள் பெயருக்குப் பதிவு செய்து, சில ஏக்கர் நன்செய் நிலங்களை எழுதி வைத்திருக்கிறேன். இறைவனின் அருளுடனும், தாங்கள் வணங்கும் மகா பெரியவா ஆசியுடனும் இதை நல்லபடியாக வைத்துக் கொண்டு சுபிட்சமாக வாழுங்கள்.’

ராமசாமி ஐயருக்கும் அவரது மனைவிக்கும் ஏக சந்தோஷம்.இருக்காதா பின்னே!எதிர்பார்க்காத நேரத்தில் இப்படி ஒரு சொத்து – அதுவும் நல்ல நன்செய் நிலம் – தானாகக் கைக்கு வந்து சேர்ந்தால், மனம் மகிழ்ச்சியில் துள்ளாதா? பரவசப்பட்டுப் போனார்கள் இருவரும். மாமனாரிடம் இருந்து தானமாக வந்த நில புலன்களில் ஏற்கெனவே பயிர்கள் நன்றாக விளைந்து கொண்டிருந்தன. மகசூலும் நன்றாக இருந்தது. அதனால், இதைப் பராமரிப்பதில் பெரிதாக ஒன்றும் சிரமம் இல்லை ராமசாமி ஐயருக்கு.

நேரம் கிடைக்கும்போதெல்லாம் நேரில் போய் நல்ல முறையில் பார்த்து வந்து கொண்டிருந்தார். இதற்கிடையில் வெங்கடாத்திரி அகரத்தில் மகா பெரியவா,அட்சதையை ஏன் தரையில் போட்டார் என்கிற சம்பவத்தை ஏறக்குறைய மறந்தே போயிருந்தார் ராமசாமி ஐயர். ஆனால், அப்படி அட்சதை போட்டு ஆசி புரிந்த மகா பெரியவா இதை மறப்பாரா?

நில புலன்கள் சேர்ந்தால் நிலச் சுவான்தார்தானே! இப்படி ஒரு நிலச் சுவான்தார் ஆன பிறகு, ‘இந்த நல்ல செய்தியை மகா பெரியவாளிடம் பகிர்ந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும்.’ என்று எண்ணினார் ராமசாமி ஐயர்.ஒரு நாள் காஞ்சிக்குப் போய் அவரைத் தரிசிக்க ஆர்வம் கொண்டார்.அந்த நாளும் கூடிய விரைவிலேயே வாய்த்தது. தனது நிலத்தில் இருந்து முதன் முதலாக அறுவடை ஆன நெல்லில் இருந்து,அரிசி அரைத்துக் கொண்டு,அந்த அரிசி மூட்டைகளுடன் காஞ்சிபுரம் மடத்துக்கு வந்தார் ராமசாமி ஐயர்.

அந்த மூட்டைகளுள் ஒன்றில் இருந்து சில அரிசி மணிகளை எடுத்து, தன் மேல்துண்டில் முடிந்து வைத்துக் கொண்டு ஒரு குழந்தையைப் போல் மகா பெரியவா முன்னால் போய் நின்றார். உடன், அவரது மனைவியும் இருந்தார். “வாப்பா ராமசாமி… சேலத்துலேர்ந்து வர்றியா? இல்லே உன் வயல்லேர்ந்து நேரா இங்கே வர்றியா?” – மகா பெரியவா கேட்டதும், ராமசாமி ஐயர் வாயடைத்துப் போனார். ஏதும் பேசவில்லை.

மகா பெரியவாளே தொடர்ந்தார்:“இப்பல்லாம் உன் நிலத்துல விளைஞ்ச அரிசியைத்தான் சமைச்சு சாப்பிடுறாயாமே?” மகா பெரியவா திருவாய் மலர்ந்தருளிய மறுகணம் விதிர்விதிர்த்துப் போனார் ராமசாமி ஐயர்.

சட்டென்று நிதானத்துக்கு வந்து,“ஆமா பெரியவா.வெங்கடாத்திரி அகரத்துக்கு வந்து பெரியவாளைத் தரிசனம் பண்ணிட்டு ஊருக்குப் போன உடனே,என் மாமனார்கிட்டேர்ந்து பத்திரம் வந்தது. நிலமே இல்லாமல் இருந்த எனக்கு, அவராவே சில ஏக்கர்களை எழுதி சாசனம் பண்ணி, தபால்ல அனுச்சிருந்தார். அதான் பெரியவாளைப் பாத்துச் சொல்லிட்டுப் போகலாம்னு வந்தேன்.முதல் விளைச்சல்ல வந்த சில அரிசி மூட்டைங்களையும் மடத்துக்குக் காணிக்கையா கொண்டு வந்திருக்கேன்.”

“எல்லாம் சரிதான். அன்னிக்கு உன் மேல்வஸ்திரத்துல போட வேண்டிய அட்சதையை நிலத்துல போட்டபோது குனிஞ்சு எடுக்கறப்ப, அவ்வளவு வருத்தப்பட்டியே ராமசாமி… இன்னிக்கு அதே மாதிரிதானே, இந்த அரிசியைக் கொண்டு வர்றதுக்கும் குனிஞ்சு நிமிர்ந்திருக்கே! உன் சொந்த நிலத்துல குனிஞ்சு, கதிர் அறுத்த நெல்லை அரிசி ஆக்கி, உன் மேல்வஸ்திரத்துல முடிஞ்சு வெச்சுண்டு இப்ப என்னைப் பாக்க வந்திருக்கே?! இல்லியா?” என்று சொல்லி விட்டு, இடி இடியென பெரியவா சிரித்தபோது, ராமசாமியின் கண்களில் இருந்து பொலபொலவென்று நீர் சுரந்தது.

மகா பெரியவாளின் ஞான திருஷ்டியை உணர்ந்து மெய் சிலிர்த்தார். பெரியவாளின் இந்தப் பேச்சைக் கேட்ட பிறகு அவரது மனைவிக்குப் பேச்சே எழவில்லை.

மேல்வஸ்திரத்தை எடுத்துப் பிரித்து, அதில் முடிந்து வைத்திருந்த அரிசியைக் கையில் திரட்டி, மகா பெரியவாளின் முன்னால் இருந்த ஒரு பித்தளைத் தட்டில் சமர்ப்பித்தார் ராமசாமி. பிறகு, அவரது திருப்பாதங்களுக்குப் பெரிய நமஸ்காரம் செய்தார்.

“ஆமா பெரியவா… அன்னிக்கு நீங்க பண்ண அனுக்ரஹத்தாலதான் எனக்கு இன்னிக்கு இப்படி ஒரு சொத்து கிடைச்சிருக்கு. கூடிய சீக்கிரமே நிலம் உனக்குக் கிடைக்கப் போறதுங்கறதை சொல்லாம சொன்னேள்! அட்சதையை நிலத்துல போட்டேள். இந்த மூளைக்கு அப்ப இது எட்டலை. உங்களோட கருணைக்கும், தீட்சண்யத்துக்கும் அளவேது பெரியவா” என்று சொல்லி, முகத்தை மூடிக் கொண்டு தேம்பலானார்.

இதை அடுத்து, அந்தப் பரப்பிரம்மம், தியானத்தில் மூழ்கியது.‘சொந்தமாக நில புலன் உனக்குக் கிடைக்கும்’ என்பதை தீர்க்க தரிசனமாக ராமசாமி ஐயருக்கு உணர்த்த விரும்பிய மகா பெரியவா, வஸ்திரத்தில் போட வேண்டிய அட்சதையைத் தரையில் போட்டதன் தாத்பர்யம் அவரைத் தவிர வேறு யாரால்தான் புரிந்து கொள்ள முடியும்?

” இது தேவராஜ ரகசியம் ” !!!

பெரியவா தேனம்பாக்கத்தில் தங்கியிருந்த சமயம். ஸ்ரீ வரதராஜப் பெருமாள் கோவில் சீமா பட்டாசாரியாரை அழைத்து வரும்படி சொன்னார். அவரும் வந்து வந்தனம் செய்தார்.

“இன்னிக்கு என்ன திதி?”

பட்டர் மெதுவாக “ஏகாதசி” என்றார்.

“உபவாசம் நமக்கு மட்டும் தானா? இல்லே, வரதனுக்கும் தானா?”

பட்டர் திகைத்துப் போய் நின்றார்.

“பெருமாளுக்கு இன்னிக்கு நைவ்வேத்யம் ஏன் செய்யல்லே?”

அதிர்ச்சியடைந்த பட்டர் நாக்குழற “தெரியல்லே.. விசாரிச்சிண்டு வரேன்” என்று கலவரத்துடன் கோயிலுக்குச் சென்றார்.

விசாரணையில் உள்கட்டில் ஏதோ தவறு நடந்துள்ளது என்ற உண்மை தெரிய வந்தது. அதை சரி செய்து, தக்க பிராயச்சித்தம் செய்து, பெருமாளுக்கு திருவமுது படைத்து, பிராசதத்தை பெரியவாளுக்கு திருவமுது படைத்து, ப்ரஸாதத்தை கொண்டுவந்து சமர்ப்பித்தார் பட்டர்.

வரதராஜ பெருமாளுக்கு நைவ்வேத்தியம் நடக்கவில்லை என்பது பெரியவாளுக்கு எப்படி தெரிந்தது? தெரிந்திருந்தாலும், அதைப்பற்றி அவர்கள் கவலைப் படுவானேன்?

தேவரகசியம் என்கிறார்களே? அது இதுதானோ? இல்லை, இது தேவராஜ ரகசியம்..! (வரதராஜருக்கு, தேவராஜன் என்ற திருநாமம் உண்டு.)

காஞ்சி மஹானை சந்தித்த ஸ்ரீ ஞானானந்தகிரி ஸ்வாமிகள்

மஹான் களிடையே எந்த வித்தியாசமும் கிடையாது. ஆனால் அவர்களை வழிபடுபவர்களின் மனப்பக்குவத்தில் தான் வித்தியாசம் ஏற்படுகிறது. ஒரு குருநாதரை ஏற்று கொண்டு மற்றவரை வெறுக்காமல், மஹானுக்கு மஹான் வித்தியாசம் என்ற நிலை மேற்கொள்ளாமல் அனைவரும் சமம் என்று வணங்கவேண்டும் .

ஒரு சமயம் தபோவனத்தில் பகல் வேளையில் குருநாதர் (ஸ்ரீ ஞானானந்தகிரி ஸ்வாமிகள்) முன்னிலையில் அமர்ந்து பாடி கொண்டிருந்தோம். திடீரென்று எழுந்த ஸ்வாமிகள் உள்ளே சென்று பின் வெகு நேரமாகியும் வெளி வரவில்லை. நாங்கள் தொடர்ந்து பாடிகொண்டிருந்தோம். சுமார் 2 மணி நேரம் கழித்து அப்போது தான் குளித்துவிட்டு வந்தது போன்ற தோற்றத்துடன் வெளியே வந்தார். வந்தவுடன் சொன்னார் “அங்கே இளையாத்தங்குடியில் ஆச்சார்யாள் பெரிய பூஜை பண்றாங்க. அதுக்கு ஸ்வாமி யை கூப்பிட்டு இருந்தாங்க. போய் வர நேரம் ஆகிவிட்டது”.

பலருக்கு அது ஸ்வாமியின் பல ஆச்சரிய லீலைகளில் ஒன்று என தோன்றினாலும் ஒரு சிலருக்கு ட்டும் சுவாமியின் வார்த்தைகளில் சந்தேகம் வந்தது. சிறிது நேரத்திற்கேல்லாம் பஜனை முடிந்தது. சந்தேகப்பட்ட நபர்கள் ஊர் திரும்பி செல்ல உத்தரவு வேண்டி நின்றனர். ஸ்வாமி அவர்களை “இருந்து விட்டு நாளை போகலாம்” என்று கூற அவர்களும் ஸ்வாமியின் வார்த்தைக்கு கட்டுப்பட்டு தங்கிவிட்டனர்.

மறுநாள் காலையில் தினசரி வழிபாட்டுக்கு ஒரு புதிய தம்பதியர் வந்தனர். ஸ்வாமி அவர்களை பார்த்து “நாம் எங்கிருந்து வருகிறது” என்று கேட்க அவர்கள் ” இளையாத்தங்குடியிலிருந்து வருகிறோம்” என்றனர். அதற்க்கு ஸ்வாமி “அப்படியா! அங்கு என்ன விசேஷம் ” என்று கேட்க அவர்கள் சொன்னார்கள் ” நேற்று மஹா பெரியவர்கள் விசேஷ பூஜை பண்ணினார்கள். நைவேத்யம் செய்யும் சமயம் ஒரு ஆடு வந்தது. பெரியவாள் அந்த நைவேத்தியத்தை அதனிடம் காண்பிக்க அந்த ஆடு சிலவற்றை சாப்பிட்டவுடன் பெரியவாள் தீபாரதனை பண்ணினார்கள். பிறகு அந்த ஆடு அங்கிருந்து போய் விட்டது. அப்போது பெரியவாள் “இன்றைய பூஜைக்கு தபோவனம் பெரியவாளை கூப்பிட்டுருந்தேன். அவர்கள் தான் இப்போது வந்து சென்றார்க்ள்” என்று சொன்னவுடன் நாங்கள் ஊருக்கு கிளம்பும் சமயம் அவரிடம் தபோவனம் பெரியவாள் யார் ஸ்வாமி என்று கேட்க அவர் தங்களை பற்றி சொல்லி அவசியம் தரிசித்து வரவும் என்று ஆசிர்வதித்து அனுப்பினார் என்றனர்.

உடன் இருந்த அந்த சந்தேகப்பட்ட நபர்கள் நால்வரும் வெட்கி தலை குனிந்தனர்.

”மகா பெரியவாளோட அனுஷ ஜயந்தியை, வருஷம் தவறாம நடத்திண்டு வரேன். சில வருஷத்துக்கு முன்னால, ஜயந்தித் திருநாள் தருணத்துல நடந்தது இது.

ஒரு மாலை நேரம்… அன்பர் ஒருத்தர் அயோத்தியா மண்டபத்துக்கு வந்தார். ‘என் பேரு சுவாமிநாதன். நீங்க ஏன் மகாபெரியவாளோட பாதுகை யையும் திருவுருவப் படத்தையும் வைச்சு அனுஷ ஜயந்தி நடத்தறேள்? பஞ்சலோக விக்கிரகம் பண்ணி, அதுக்குண்டான வழிபாடுகளைச் செஞ்சு, ஜயந்தி விழாவை நடத்தலாமே?’ன்னு என்னைக் கேட்டார்.

அதோட நிக்காம, ஒரு பையிலிருந்து ரெண்டு பித்தளை சொம்புகளை எடுத்துக் கொடுத்து, ‘மகாபெரியவாளின் பஞ்சலோக விக்கிரகம் செய்யறதுக்கு முயற்சி பண்ணுங்க. நிச்சயம் அது கைகூடும். மாம்பலத்துலயே அவர் கோயில்ல குடியிருந்தபடி எல்லார்க்கும் அருள்பாலிக்கப் போறார், பாருங்க’ என்று சொல்லி, ஒரு ஓரமா இருந்த நாற்காலியில் போய் உட்கார்ந்தார்.

பத்து நிமிஷம் கழிச்சுப் பார்த்தா, அங்கே அவரைக் காணோம்! மண்டபம் முழுக்கத் தேடியும் கிடைக்கலே. பக்தர்கள்கிட்ட இந்த விஷயத்தைச் சொன்னதும், பஞ்சலோகத் திருமேனி பண்றதுக்கு, எல்லாரும் ரொம்ப ஆர்வத்தோட உதவி பண்ணாங்க.

அப்புறம்… மகாபெரியவாளோட திருவுருவத்தை பஞ்சலோக விக்கிரகமா வடிக்க, சுவாமிமலைக்குப் போனோம். அங்கே… கோயிலுக்குப் பக்கத்துலயே இருக்கிற தேவ சேனாபதி ஸ்தபதியைப் பாத்தோம். மகாபெரியவாள்மேல ரொம்ப பக்தி கொண்டவர் அவர். வயசானவர். ‘இத்தனை வயசுக்குப் பிறகும், மகாபெரியவாளோட பஞ்சலோக விக்கிரகம் பண்ற பாக்கியம் எனக்குக் கிடைச்சிருக்கே’ன்னு சொல்லிச் சொல்லிச் சந்தோஷப்பட்டார். ஒரு நல்ல நாள் பார்த்து, விக்கிரகம் பண்ற வேலையை ஆரம்பிச்சு, பிரமாதமா தயாரிச்சு முடிச்சார் (பெரியவாள் விக்கிரகம்தான், அவர் பண்ணின கடைசி விக்கிரகம்).

இந்த நேரத்துல, கையில பணம் குறைச்சலா இருந்துது. விக்கிரகத்தை வாங்கிண்டு வரணும்னா, சுமார் 5,000 ரூபா வரைக்கும் தேவையா இருந்துது. ‘எல்லாம் பெரியவா பார்த்துப்பா’னு தைரியமா இருந்தேன். திடீர்னு ஒருநாள், கடம் விநாயக்ராமோட தம்பி சுபாஷ் சந்திரனோட வீட்டுக்கு, அவரோட மாப்பிள்ளை கஞ்சிரா வித்வான் கணேஷ்குமார் அமெரிக்காலேருந்து போன் பண்ணியிருக்கார்.

‘மாம்பலத்துல மேச்சேரி பட்டு சாஸ்திரிகள்னு ஒருத்தர், காஞ்சி மகா பெரியவாளோட பஞ்சலோக விக்கிரகத்தைச் சிரமப்பட்டுப் பண்ணியிருக்காராம். ‘அவருக்குப் பணம் கொடுத்து ஒத்தாசை பண்ணு’ன்னு அதிகாலைல, மகா பெரியவா என் சொப்பனத்துல வந்து சொன்னார்’னு கணேஷ்குமார் சொல்லிருக்கார். சுபாஷ் சந்திரனோட மனைவி கீதா நேர்ல வந்து, ‘இந்த 6,000 ரூபாயை உங்க கிட்ட கொடுக்கச் சொன்னார்’னு முழு விவரமும் சொல் லிக் கொடுத்தப்ப, ஆச்சரியத்துல அசந்து போயிட்டோம் நாங்க!

பணத்துக்கு என்ன பண்றதுன்னு தவிச்ச கொஞ்ச நேரத்துலயே, 6,000 ரூபாய் கைக்கு வந்தா எப்படி இருக்கும் எனக்கு? அப்படியே உருகிப் போயிட்டேன். இத்தனைக்கும் எனக்குப் பணம் தேவைப்படறதுன்னு யார்கிட்டயும் நான் ஒரு வார்த்தைகூடச் சொல்லலை. ஆனா, எங்கேயோ அமெரிக்காவுல இருக்கிற கணேஷ் குமாரோட சொப்பனத்துல வந்து, மகாபெரியவாளே சொல்லிருக்கார்னா, பெரியவாளோட மகிமையை என்னன்னு சொல்றது! ஆறு வருஷத்துக்கு முன்னால நடந்த சம்பவம் இது!

பணம் கைக்கு வந்ததும், வைகாசி அனுஷ ஜயந்தி நடத்தறதுக்கு முன்னேயே, ஜூன் மாசம் 3-ம் தேதி ராத்திரி, சுவாமிமலையில ஸ்ரீஸ்வாமிநாத ஸ்வாமியை கண் குளிரத் தரிசனம் பண்ணிண்டு, வடவாம்பலம் வழியா வந்து, அங்கே ஸ்ரீஆத்ம போதேந்திராள் அதிஷ்டானத்துல மகா பெரியவாளோட பஞ்சலோக விக்கிரகத் திருமேனியை ஒரு வாகனத்துல வெச்சு, தீபாராதனை காட்டினோம்.

பூஜையெல்லாம் முடிச்சுட்டு, வண்டியைக் கிளப்பினா… ம்ஹூம்.. வண்டி ஒரு அடிகூட நகரலை. அங்கேயே நின்னுடுத்து. டிராக்டரைக் கொண்டு வந்து இழுத்துப் பார்த்தோம்; லாரியைக் கொண்டு வந்து கட்டி இழுத்தோம்; ம்ஹூம்… வண்டி அசைவேனாங்கறது! கிட்டத்தட்ட விடியற்காலை நேரமும் வந்தாச்சு. அந்த நேரத்துல, விவசாயி ஒருத்தர் ரெண்டு சிநேகிதர்களோடு அங்கே வந்தார். அவர் தினமும் ஆத்ம போதேந்திராள் அதிஷ்டானத்துல பிரார்த் தனை செஞ்சுட்டுதான் கூலி வேலைக்குப் போவாராம்.

எங்ககிட்ட வந்த அந்தக் குடியானவர், ‘என்ன நடந்துது?’ன்னு கேட்டார். ‘ஏனோ தெரியலை; வாகனம் நகரவே இல்லை’ன்னு சொன்னோம். அப்ப, அவர் சொன்ன வார்த்தைகள், எங்களை மெய்சிலிர்க்க வெச்சுடுச்சு!

‘மகா பெரியவாளும் அவரோட குருவும் ஆத்மார்த்தமா சம்பாஷணையில இருக்கிற நேரத்துல, நீங்க எப்படிக் குறுக்கிடலாம்? பாதிப் பேச்சுல, பெரியவாளைப் பிரிச்சு எப்படி சென்னைக்குக் கூட்டிட்டுப் போகலாம்? இப்ப… அவங்க சம்பாஷணையை நிறுத்திட்டாங்க. இப்போ வண்டியை இழுத்துப் பாருங்க, நல்லாவே நகரும்’னார். அதோட நிக்காம, எங்களோட அவரும் சேர்ந்து, ‘ஜய ஜய சங்கர; ஹர ஹர சங்கர‘ன்னு சொல்லிண்டே வாகனத்தை நகர்த்தறதுக்கு உதவி பண்ணினார். வண்டியும் எந்தச் சிரமமும் இல்லாம நகர்ந்தது. வழியிலயும் எந்தவித அசௌகரியமும் இல்லாம, விக்கிரகத்தை நல்லபடியா சென்னைக்குக் கொண்டு வந்தோம்.

மகா பெரியவா, சாதாரணமானவரா என்ன? அவர், மகான் மாத்திரமில்லை; சாட்சாத் ஈஸ்வர அம்சம். இல்லேன்னா இதெல்லாம் நடக்குமா? இந்த பஞ்சலோக விக்கிரகத் திருவுருவமேனியைச் செஞ்சது நாங்களா? இல்லவே இல்லை. அவரோட காரியத்தை அவரே நடத்திண்டுட்டார். இப்ப… பாதுகையோடு பஞ்சலோக விக்கிரகமும் தரிசனத்துக்கு இருக்கு. அடுத்து, பெரியவாளுக்குக் கோயில் கட்டுற வேலைதான் பாக்கி. மகா பெரியவாளுக்கு கோயில்ங்கறது, பக்தர்களோட கோரிக்கைதான். இதையும் அவரே நடத்திக் கொடுத்துடுவார், பாருங்கோ!

ஒண்ணு மட்டும் சத்தியம்! ‘இன்னது நடக்கணும்’னு நாம சங்கல்பம் பண்ணிண்டாப் போதும்; அவரே நடத்தி வெச்சுடுவார். அவரோட அன்பாலதான் எல்லாமே இயங்கறது; மகா பெரியவா, கருணாமூர்த்தியாச்சே!” என்று நெகிழ்ச்சியுடன் சொல்லி, பஞ்சலோக விக்கிரகத் திருமேனியாகக் காட்சி தரும் காஞ்சி மகானைப் பார்த்த பட்டு சாஸ்திரிகள், அப்படியே வணங்கித் தொழுதார்.

Ambassador Car Ranked No 1 Taxi in The World !!!!

It may have lost out to the more modern competitors from Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Toyota and Honda but the good old Ambassador car, which once ruled the roost in India, has just been voted as the world’s best taxi by global automotive programme Top Gear.

In a show, which is being aired on the BBC, Top Gear’s executive director Richard Hammond organised a world taxi shootout in which Ambassador emerged a winner, beating competitors from all over the globe.

“The winner was India’s virtually indestructible Hindustan Ambassador,” UK-based motor museum Beaulieu, where the ‘World of Top Gear’ featuring vehicles from some of the most ambitious challenges are also showcased, said in a statement.

This particular example proved just how enduring the Ambassador really is when it saw off rivals from Britain, America, Germany, South Africa, Mexico and Russia to be named the world’s best taxi, it added.

The Hindustan Ambassador started life in Britain as the Morris Oxford but, with a quick name change, it went on to become one of India’s most enduring vehicles.

“It’s (Ambassador) so tough that, although it now lives in World of Top Gear, with a quick wash and brush up, it could be back in service tomorrow – probably,” the statement said.

In 1948, CK Birla Group firm Hindustan Motors Ltd began the production of the Ambassador at Uttarpara in Hooghly district, West Bengal.

Till the arrival of the Maruti in the early 80s, the Ambassador was the status symbol in India. Gradually it lost out to various global competitors when it came to personal usage but continued to be the favourite vehicle for government officials and also in the taxi segment.

In the recent past, its sales in both the segments have shown a decline and in 2012-13, the Ambassador sold a total of just 3,390 units. This fiscal, it has sold only 709 units in the April-June period.

In its heyday, Detroit was a bustling city. The population spiked from just over 285,000 in 1900 to over 1.5 million by 1930.

The legendary Hotel Pontchartrain had a reputation for luxury. It hosted several presidents, and auto industry executives were known to conduct business in the hotel bar.

In the early 1900s, Detroit became the automotive capital of the world. Henry Ford founded Ford Motor Company in 1903, and the Dodge brothers and Chrysler also did business in Detroit.

New residents flooded the city as demand for labor rose. And unions hugely improved working conditions for these workers, giving them 8-hour workdays and a minimum wage.

With the population boom came a thriving arts and culture scene. One of the top destinations in old-time Detroit was the Detroit Opera House.

Detroit’s median home sale price is around $25,200, which is a huge jump from earlier in the year, when rock bottom was at $17,000 (though way down from its 2006 peak of $83,00).

But you can buy a house for cheaper than that. A ton cheaper, in fact.

Wayne County treasury officials are going door-to-door striking controversial deals with whomever is living inside about 1,500 of the more than 6,000 tax-foreclosed properties, according to Christine MacDonald of The Detroit News.

Even though last year’s unpaid property taxes total $17.6 million, the city says it prefers occupied homes to unsold lots and is willing to sell the properties for as little as $500.

The county treasury hasn’t made the list of properties available to the public yet since it’s attempting to first visit a majority of the homes that it believes to be occupied, MacDonald says.
