These Look Like Normal Photos From Afar, But They’re Very Much Alive…!

When practical photography was born in 1839, the simple act of capturing basic portraits and images of everyday objects was a feat of epic and almost unfathomable proportions. That being said, it didn’t take very long for burgeoning photographers to start experimenting with form and function.

About 80 years after the craft’s inception, Arthur Mole and John Thomas decided to develop a series that was unlike anything that had ever been done before. By organizing groups of American soldiers into iconic images that pay homage to some of their Nation’s most influential figures, the two achieved an effect that’s beyond impressive (even by today’s standards).

World’s Largest Railway Model is Now on Google “Mini” Street View…..

Google’s Street View, that lets you explore the world through the virtual eyes of street level cameras, has now shrunk itself to the size of a thumb, so that you can experience the world’s largest miniature model railway as if it has been blown to real size.

“Miniatur Wunderland” in Hamburg, Germany boasts of 13,000 kilometers of track and more than 200,000 tiny citizens, featuring tiny replicas of German provinces, famous places in the U.S. and even a fully-functioning airport, which itself is the largest miniature airport in the world.

To capture the nooks and crannies in Miniatur Wunderland, Google mounted tiny cameras on top of tiny vehicles that were driven through the roads and over the train tracks, “weaving through the Wunderland’s little worlds to capture their hidden treasures,” wrote Sven Tresp, Street View Program Manager, in the official announcement.

Among the sights available for view include a soccer match in Hamburg’s stadium, a traditional town center in central Germany, a rowdy Oktoberfest celebration, a replica of the famous Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, a music concert, and even the ski slopes of Austria, among others. A short hop from the fictional town of Knuffingen, one can “zoom through the valleys of the Grand Canyon, gambol down the strip in Las Vegas, and even stop by Mount Rushmore to salute past U.S. Presidents.”

Because the imagery were captured at “street level” within the Wunderland, you can observe many tiny details in Street View that are not visible even to visitors to the museum, such as deep sea divers at a county fair, farmers riding a broomstick, a newly-married couple on the steps of the courthouse and the dancing crowds at an outdoor concert.

பொங்கல் பிள்ளையார்…….

பொங்கல் என்றாலே உழவுக்கு வந்தனை செய்யும் விதமாக ஆதவனை வணங்குவது, தித்திக்கும் கரும்பைச் சுவைத்து மகிழ்வது இவையெல்லாம் ஒரு பக்கம் இருந்தாலும் இன்னொரு சிறப்பான சம்பிரதாயம் ஒன்று இருந்து வருகிறது. அதுதான் பொங்கல் அன்று பிறக்கும் தனிச் சிறப்பு மிக்க பிள்ளையார்.

தைப் பொங்கலிடத் தயாராகும் போது முதலில் வீட்டு வாசலில் கிழக்கு நோக்கி விளக்கு வைத்து, அதன் முன்பு ஒரு பெரிய வாழையிலையை விரித்து, அதில் அனைத்து வகையான காய்கறிகள், கிழங்கு வகைகளை வைத்து, ஒரு டம்பளரில் பொங்கலிடப் போகும் அரிசியையும் வைத்து வணங்குவார்கள். இதில் இன்னொரு சிறப்பு என்னவென்றால், விளக்குடன் சேர்த்து மற்ற கடவுளரைக் காட்டிலும், முதன்மைக் கடவுளான பிள்ளையாரையும் அங்கு வைத்திருப்பார்கள். அதுவும் அந்த பிள்ளையார், ஒவ்வொரு இல்லத்தினரும் அவர்கள் கைகளினால், உருவாக்கிய சிறப்புப் பிள்ளையார்கள்.

இதன் முக்கியத்துவம் என்னவென்றால் உலகின் முழுமுதற் கடவுளான கணபதிக்கும் சேர்த்து வந்தனை செய்வதாக அர்த்தம். சூரிய பகவான் முன்பு பொங்கலிட்டு, முதலில் பிள்ளையாருக்கும் சேர்த்து படைக்கப்படுகிறது என்பது பொருள்.

பொதுவாக மூன்று வகைப் பிள்ளையார்கள் உருவாக்கப்படுகிறார்கள். ஒன்று, சாணத்தால் ஆன பிள்ளையார். இரண்டாவது, மஞ்சளால் ஆன பிள்ளையார். மூன்றாவது, சந்தனத்தால் ஆன பிள்ளையார். இந்த மூன்று திவ்யத்துவம் பொருந்திய பொருட்களைப் பயன்படுத்தியே, பிள்ளையார் உருவாக்கப்படுகிறார்.

சாணப் பிள்ளையார்

சாணம் ஒரு கிருமி நாசினி என்பது அனைவரும் அறிந்ததே. தூய்மைப்படுத்துவதே இதன் சிறப்பு. பொங்கல் அன்று, அனைவரும் மனதில் அசுத்த எண்ணங்களைத் துறந்து, தூய உள்ளத்தோடு ஒன்று சேர்த்து பண்டிகையைக் கொண்டாட வேண்டும் என்பதற்காக சாணத்தால் ஆன பிள்ளையார் செய்து வைக்கப்படுகிறது.

மஞ்சள் பிள்ளையார்

மஞ்சள் இல்லாத ஒரு மங்கள நிகழ்வு என்பதே கிடையாது. பல்வேறு மருத்துவ குணங்கள் முதல் பலவிதமான மங்காத புகழ்களைத் தன்னுள்ளே கொண்டது மஞ்சள். இந்த மங்கள நாளில், அனைவரும் சகல ஆரோக்கியத்தையும் பெற்று, புகழோடு வாழ்வதற்காகவே, மஞ்சளால் ஆன பிள்ளையார் செய்து வணங்கப்படுகிறது.

சந்தனப் பிள்ளையார்

எந்த நிலையிலும் மாறாத தன்மையுடன், நல்ல மணம் பரப்பும் குணமுடையது சந்தனம். அதுபோல, மனிதன் எந்தச் சூழ்நிலை வந்தாலும் தன்னிலை மாறாது, நன்னெறிகளை செய்து வாழ வேண்டும் என்பதற்காகவே சந்தனத்தால் ஆன பிள்ளையார் செய்து வைக்கப்படுகிறது.

இவ்வாறு மூன்று வகைப் பிள்ளையார்களை உருவாக்கி, அதற்குக் குங்குமப் பொட்டு வைத்து, பிள்ளையாருக்கே உரித்தான அருகம்புல்லை அணிவித்து வணங்க வேண்டும், இதன் மூலம் சகல செல்வங்களும் வந்துசேரும் என்பதே ஐதீகம். இயற்கையை போற்றும் இந்த நன்னாளில், சிறப்புமிக்க இந்த இயற்கைப் பொருட்களைக் கொண்டு கடவுளைப் படைத்து வணங்கி, அனைத்து வளங்களையும் பெற வேண்டும் என்பதற்காக, நம் முன்னோர்கள் வைத்த இந்த சம்பிரதாயத்தை நாமும் போற்றிப் பின்பற்றுவோம்.

தெய்வத்தின் குரல் – முருகன்: பதவி பெறவே பிறவி….

ஜனனத்தை எடுத்துக் கொண்டால், ‘குமார ஸம்பவம்’ என்பதாக முருகன் ஜனனம் எடுத்ததற்கு அலாதிப் பெருமை இருக்கிறது.

வால்மீகி ராமாயணத்தில் ராம லக்ஷ்மணர்களுக்கு விசுவாமித்ரர் அந்தக் கதையைச் சொல்லி முடிக்கும்போது ‘குமார ஸம்பவம்’ என்ற வார்த்தையைப் போட்டிருக்கிறார். ஆதி கவியின் அந்த வாக்கை எடுத்துக் கொண்டுதான் மகாகவி காளிதாசரும் ‘குமார ஸம்பவம்’ என்றே தலைப்புக் கொடுத்து மகாகாவ்யம் எழுதினார்.

அந்தச் சம்பவத்திலே அதாவது ஜனனத்திலே அப்படி என்ன விசேஷம்?

மற்றவர்கள் பிறந்து, வளர்ந்து, கல்வி கேள்விகளில் தேர்ச்சி பெற்ற அப்புறம் பதவிக்கு வருவார்கள். ஆனால் மகா பெரிய பதவி, தேவர்களுடைய சேனைகளுக்கெல்லாம் அதிபதியாக இருக்கும் பதவி, இந்தக் குமாரர் சம்பவிக்க வேண்டுமென்று இவருக்காகவே காத்துக்கொண்டிருந்தது.

ஜன்மிக்கிறபோதே தேவர்களின் சேனாதிபதி. அசுரர்களிடம் அடி உதை பட்டுச் சொல்ல முடியாத கஷ்டத்திலிருந்த தேவர்கள் இவர் சம்பவித்ததால்தான் தங்களுக்கு விடிவு, விமோசனம் என்று காத்துக்கொண்டு, எதிர்பார்த்துக்கொண்டு இருந்த நிலையில் ஏற்பட்டது அவருடைய ‘ஸம்பவம்’, அதாவது தோற்றம்.

சிவனுக்கு சமானமான ஒருத்தர்தான் தங்களை வதைக்க முடியும் என்று சூரபத்மாசுரன், தாரகாசுரன் ஆகியவர்கள் அந்த சிவனிடமே வரம் வாங்கி வைத்துக்கொண்டுவிட்டார்கள். சிவனுக்கு சமானம் வேறே யார்? அவரேதான் அவருக்கு சமம். வரம் கொடுத்த அவரே வரம் வாங்கிக்கொண்டவர்களை வதம் பண்ணுவது நியாயமாகாது. அதனால்தான் இப்படி சாமர்த்தியமாக வரம் கேட்டு வாங்கிக்கொண்டு, அப்புறம் சத்ரு பயம் என்பதே இல்லாமல் அந்த அசுரர்கள் தேவர்களை இம்சித்துவந்தார்கள்.

ஆலோசித்துப் பார்த்த பிறகு இதற்கு தேவர்கள் வழி கண்டு பிடித்தார்கள். ‘ஆத்மாவை புத்ர நாமாஸி’ என்ற ச்ருதி வாக்கியப்படி ஒருத்தனுக்கு சமதையாக இருப்பது அவனுடைய புத்ரன். இவன் வீர்யத்திலே அவன் உண்டாவதால் இரண்டு பேரும் ஒன்று என்கிறது சாஸ்திரம்.

ஆகையால் தங்களையெல்லாம் அசுரர்களிடமிருந்து ரட்சிப்பதற்காக தங்களுடைய நாயகனாக, சேனா நாயகனாகப் பரமேச்வரன் ஒரு புத்ரனை உண்டு பண்ணித் தந்துவிட்டால் வழி பிறந்துவிடும், விமோசனம் கிடைத்துவிடும் என்று தேவர்கள் முடிவு பண்ணி, அதற்காகத் தபசிருந்தார்கள். சுவாமியும் தக்ஷிணாமூர்த்தியாகத் தபசிருந்த சமயம் அது. அவருக்குப் பணிவிடை செய்ய வந்த அம்பாள் பார்வதியும் தபசிருந்தாள். இப்படி ஒரே தபோமயமான புண்ய background -ல் குமார ஸம்பவம் ஏற்பட்டது. அதுதான் அதன் பெருமை.

குழந்தையாகப் பிறந்தோமே என்பதற்காக ஆறு நாள், ஆறே நாள்தான், குமாரசுவாமி பால லீலைகள் பண்ணினார். அவருக்கு எல்லாம் ஆறு. முகம் ஆறு. அவர் மந்திரத்தில் அக்ஷரம் ஆறு. அவர் பிறந்தது ஆறாம் திதியான ஷஷ்டி. அவருக்குப் பால் கொடுத்தது கிருத்திகா தேவிகள் என்று ஆறு பேர். வேடிக்கையாகச் சொல்வதுண்டு, அவர் உத்பவித்த கங்கையும் ‘ஆறு’ என்று. ‘குமாரர்’ என்றே குழந்தை பேர் வைத்துக்கொண்டிருந்தாலும் அவர் குழந்தை விளையாட்டு ஆறே நாள்தான் செய்தார். ஆறு நாளிலேயே அபரிமித லீலைகள் பண்ணினார். அப்புறம், உடனேயே, தேவ சேனாதிபத்யம் தாங்கி, சூராதி அசுரர்களை சம்காரம் பண்ணி தேவர்களையும், சர்வ லோகத்தையுமே ரக்ஷித்துவிட்டார்.

மனு, கினு போட்டு ‘அப்பாயின்ட்மென்ட்’ என்றில்லாமல் சகல தேவ சமூகத்திற்கும் ரக்ஷகனாக, ‘கமான்டர்-இன்-சீஃப்’ஆகப் பெரிய்ய்ய்ய அப்பாயின்ட்மென்ட்டோடேயே அவர் பிறந்ததுதான் குமார சம்பவத்தின் விசேஷம்.

“சரி, ஸ்வாமிகளே, இதிலே விக்நேச்வரருக்கு என்ன ‘பார்ட்?” என்றால், சிவனுக்கு சமானமானவர் சிவசுதானே என்றால், விக்நேச்வரர் சிவசுதர்தானே?அப்படியிருக்க, குமாரஸ்வாமி உண்டாகணுமென்று தேவர்கள் தபஸ் பண்ணினார்கள் என்றால் அப்போது விக்நேச்வரர் தோன்றியிருக்கவில்லையா? சுப்ரமண்யருக்கு அப்புறந்தான் அவர் தோன்றினாரா என்றால், இல்லை. இதை ‘அன்டர்லைன்’பண்ணிக் காட்டத்தான் ‘ஸ்கந்த பூர்வஜர்’ என்று அவருக்குப் பேர் சொல்லி இருக்கிறது.

‘சரி, அவர் அப்போதே இருந்தாரென்றால், அவரிருக்கும்போது இன்னொரு சிவசுதருக்காக தேவர்கள் தபஸ் செய்வானேன்? சுதராயிருந்தும் அவர் அப்பாவுக்கு சமானமாயில்லாதவர் என்று அர்த்தமா?’

அப்படியில்லை. அவர் அப்பாவுக்கு சமதை யானவர்தான். த்ரிபுர சம்ஹாரத்தின்போது அப்பாவும் தம்மைப் பூஜை பண்ணின பிறகுதான் காரியசித்தி பெற முடியும் என்று காட்டியிருக்கிறாரே.

பின்னே ஏன் இன்னொரு சிவசுதர் சம்பவிக்க வேண்டுமென்று தேவர்கள் நினைத்தார்கள்? சூரபத்மா கேட்டிருந்த வரத்தின் ஒரு நிபந்தனைதான் காரணம். தாங்கள் வரம் கேட்கிற காலத்தில் இருக்கிற எவருமே தங்களை வதம் பண்ண முடியாதபடிதான் அசுரர்கள் சாமர்த்தியமாக நிபந்தனை போடுவார்கள். அப்படித்தான் இவனும் பண்ணினான். தன்னைக் கொல்லக் கூடிய சிவஸத்ருசன் சிவனுக்கொப்பானவன், அம்பாள் சம்பந்தமில்லாமலே பிறந்தவனாயிருக்கணும் என்று அவன் கண்டிஷன் போட்டிருந்தான். சர்வ சக்தரான பிள்ளையார் தன்னை வதம் பண்ண முடியாதபடி debar பண்ணிவிட வேண்டுமென்றே இப்படி சாமர்த்தியமாகக் கேட்டிருந்தான்.

அம்பாள் சம்பந்தமில்லாமல் தன்னுடைய நேத்ரங்களிலிருந்து வெளியேவிட்ட அக்னிப் பொறிகளிலிருந்தே குமாரஸ்வாமியை உண்டு பண்ணினார். சுப்ரமண்யம் என்ற திவ்யமூர்த்தி கிடைத்தது.

பிள்ளையாருக்குக் குமார ஸம்பவத்தில் நேராகப் பங்கு இல்லாவிட்டாலும், இவர் அசுர சம்ஹாரம் செய்யவில்லை என்பதால்தான் அது ஏற்படவே செய்தது என்பதால் ‘நெகடிவ்’ சம்பந்தமிருக்கிறது. வலுவான நெகடிவ் சம்பந்தம்.

Anyone engaged in repeating the Lord’s name has self-control and discipline, faith, patience, comradeship, kindness, and joy as well as unalloyed love towards Me – such a person is dear to Me. Whoever with discrimination and renunciation, humility and wisdom is aware of the knowledge of Reality; who is immersed in the contemplation of My divine play (leela), dwells on My name at all times and sheds tears of love whenever the Lord’s name is heard from any lip —these are My genuine devotees.” Thus did Sri Rama answer Narada.
