Life would be perfect if… 
anger had a STOP button
Mistakes had a REWIND button
Hard times had a FORWARD button
and Good Times a PAUSE button

“You work so hard to make the honey and humans just take it away, doesn’t it make you feel bad?“
“No,” said the bee, “because they will never take from me the art of making it.” 
What stands behind us and what stands before us are tiny matters compared to what is within us.
The happiness of our lives depends on the quality of our thoughts. But the quality of our thoughts depends on the people in our lives. 
We receive a lot of unconditional love when we’re born.
We receive a lot of unconditional respect when we die.
We just need to learn how to handle the between.

” சொல்லு ..ராம ராமா …சிவ சிவா …”

ஆந்த்ராவைச் சேர்ந்த ஒரு சம்ஸ்க்ருத பண்டிட் ஒருவர் பெரியவாளை தர்சனம் பண்ண தஞ்சாவூர் அருகில் ஒரு கிராமத்துக்குப் போனபோது, சந்த்ரமௌலீஸ்வரர் சன்னிதியில் தீப நமஸ்காரம் நடந்து கொண்டிருந்தது. அது முடிந்ததும் அங்கு வந்திருந்த மாணவர்களைப் பார்த்து,

“எல்லாரும் ராம,ராமா…சிவ, சிவா…ன்னு சொல்லுங்கோ!” என்று சொல்லிவிட்டு குறிப்பாக ஒரு பையனைப் பார்த்து,

“சொல்லு! ராம,ராமா….சிவ சிவா!” என்றார். பையன் விழித்தான்! பக்கத்தில் இருந்தவர் பெரியவாளிடம்,

“பெரியவா….அவன் ஊமை…பொறவிலேர்ந்தே !…”

“அதுனால என்ன? அவன் சொல்லட்டும்…சொல்லுடா கொழந்தே! ராம,ராமா…சிவ சிவா….” என்று பரம பாக்யம் செய்த அந்த குழந்தைக்கு பெரியவா திருவாக்கால் நாமோபதேசம் வந்ததும்……

“ராம,ராமா…..சிவ சிவா…..” பிறவி ஊமை அழகாக பகவானின் நாமத்தை சொன்னது!

அதைக்கண்ட சம்ஸ்க்ருத பண்டிதர் “எந்த மஹானை வர்ணிக்க வார்த்தைகளே கிடையாதோ, எந்த மஹானைக் கண்டதும் பிறவி ஊமை பேசும் சக்தியைப் பெறுகிறானோ, அந்த சந்த்ரிகா மௌளீயான என் குருநாதனை நமஸ்கரிக்கிறேன்” என்ற அழகாகப் பொருள்படும் ஸ்லோகத்தை சம்ஸ்க்ருதத்தில் தக்ஷணமே கல்பித்துப் பாடினார். அதுதான் முதன்முதலாக அவர் மனஸில் ஸ்புரித்த ஸ்லோகமாம்!

“குரு” என்ற ஈரெழுத்து “ராம” நாமத்துக்கு சரி நிகர் சமானம்.குரு என்றால் இருளைப் போக்குபவர் என்ற அர்த்தமெல்லாம் ஒரு பக்கம் இருக்கட்டும். ஆனால் ஆழ்ந்து பார்த்தால், கு, ரு என்ற இரண்டெழுத்துமே எழுதும் போதே மேலே இடது பக்கம் ஆரம்பித்து, வலமாக சுழித்து, கடைசியில் ஆரம்பித்த மேல் ஸ்தானத்துக்கே சென்று முடியும். இது ‘குரு’ என்ற மிக உன்னதமான சொல்லுக்கு தமிழ் செய்த நமஸ்காரம்.

சத்குருவின் திருவடிகளை சிந்திப்பவர், அவ்வளவு ஏன்? சத்குருவின் கடாக்ஷத்தில் விழுந்தவர்கள் மேன்மையைத்தான் அடைவர் என்று உணர்த்துகிறது.

அதே போல், சத்குருவானவர், தன்னுடைய உயர்ந்த ஸ்தானத்திலிருந்து [ஆத்மஸ்வரூபம்] இறங்கி, பொய், புரட்டைத் தவிர எதுவும் தெரியாத அல்லது தெரிந்தும் அலக்ஷியமாக கண்டதே காட்சி, கொண்டதே கோலம் என்று கெக்கே பெக்கே என்று அலையும் நம்மை மாதிரி ஜீவன்களை [ஈ, எறும்பும் இதில் அடங்கும்] யானை தன் தும்பிக்கையால் வழிப்பது போல், ஒரே வழியாக வழித்து, வாரி சுருட்டி எடுத்துக் கொண்டு போய், மேலே தன் ஸ்வரூபத்தில் சேர்த்துக் கொண்டு விடுவார். அல்லது அல்லாக்காகத் தூக்கி பகவானின் சரணத்தில் போட்டு விடுவார். யாருக்கு எப்படித் தோன்றுகிறதோ அப்படி எடுத்துக் கொள்ளலாம். உண்மையில் குருவே தெய்வம்; இதில் நம்முடைய அடம், அஹம்பாவம் எதுவுமே செல்லுபடியாகாது. ஒழுங்காக ஒத்துழைத்தால் [அவர் சொன்னபடி நடந்தால்] நம்முடையது உண்மையான ஸுகஜீவனம்; இல்லாவிட்டாலும் அவர் எப்படியும் நம்மை சுருட்டி இழுத்துக் கொண்டுதான் போகப்போகிறார். அடம் பிடித்தால், நமக்குத்தான் படு கஷ்டம்.

நமக்கு கீழ்வாலக்கமாகப் போகும் குர..ங்கு என்ற வார்த்தை மிகவும் பொருந்தும். கு என்ற எழுத்துக்கு அப்புறம் இரண்டாவது எழுத்தாக ரு அல்லது ர….எதில் சேரப்போகிறோம் நாம்?

“காமாலைக் கண்ணுக்கு காண்பதெல்லாம் மஞ்சள்” என்று சொல்லுவார்கள். நமக்கும் “குரு காமாலை” பீடித்து காண்பதெல்லாம் நம் சத்குருவாகத் தெரிந்துணர நம் குருநாதரை வேண்டித் தொழுவோம்.

Everyone in this ephemeral and transient world aspires for peace and security. But money, education, position of authority and physical comforts cannot confer peace and security. Peace originates from the heart. You can experience peace and security only when your heart is filled with love. Most people today are bereft of gratitude, which is one of the most essential qualities. They forget the help rendered to them by others. As long as you are alive, you should be grateful for the help you received from others. There are two things you must forget: the help you rendered to others and the harm others have done to you. If you remember the help you rendered, you will always expect something in return. Remembrance of the harm done to you by others generates in you a sense of revenge. Always remember only the help you received from others. The one with these sacred qualities is an ideal human being.

“இனிக்கும் இலையும் கசக்கும் இலையும்’ !!!

வாகீசக் கலாநிதி கி.வா.ஜ.வுக்கு பல மூலிகைகளைத் தெரியும். உணவில் கீரைகளையும், மூலிகைகளையும் சேர்த்துக் கொண்டால் நோய் வராமல் தடுக்கலாம் என்று அடிக்கடி சொல்வார். இவர் பர்மாவுக்குச் சென்றிருந்தபோது, அன்பர்கள் இவரை சிவத்தலம் என்ற இடத்துக்கு அழைத்துச் சென்றார்கள்.

அங்கே குன்றின்மேல் “குன்று தோறாடும் குமரன்’ கோயில் உள்ளது. கி.வா.ஜ. குன்றின் மேல் ஏறி முருகனை வணங்கிவிட்டு கீழே இறங்கி வந்தார். அடிவாரத்தில் ஒரு மடம் இருக்கிறது. அங்கே நிறைய செடி, கொடிகள், மூலிகைகள் இருந்தன. இவர் அங்கிருந்த குன்றிமணிக் கொடியில் உள்ள இலையைப் பறித்து ஒருவரிடம் கொடுத்து… “இதை உண்ணுங்கள் இனிக்கும்’ என்றார்.

அந்த அன்பர் அதனை உண்டு “இனிக்கிறது’ என்றார். உடனே இவர் “நீங்கள் அதிலிருந்து இன்னும் இலையைப் பறித்து வாருங்கள். அவற்றையே “கசக்கும் இலை’ ஆக்குகிறேன் என்றார். அனைவருக்கும் வியப்பு. எப்படிச் செய்ய முடியும்? இனிக்கும் இலையைக் கசக்கும் இலை ஆக்க முடியுமா? ஆவலுடன் அன்பர் இலையைப் பறித்து இவர் கையில் கொடுத்தார்.

எல்லோரும் ஆவலாகக் கவனித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்… இவர் அந்த இலைகளை இரண்டு கைகளிலும் வைத்துக் கசக்கினார்.

மற்றவர்களைப் பார்த்து “இப்போது இது நான் கசக்கும் இலை ஆகி விட்டதல்லவா” என்றார். அனைவரும் சிரித்தனர்.

Message For the Day…” Yath Bhavam , tath bhavthi…”

Every human being has the evil tendencies of kama (lust), krodha(anger), lobha (greed), etc. in them. The epics teach us to control these real enemies. Hiranyakasipu was a great scientist. He had control over all five elements, but became a victim of his anger. His anger was directed at God and ultimately, he ruined himself. He subjected his son to many trials and tribulations and sought to kill him by throwing him from the hilltop, casting him into the sea, pushing him into a pit of poisonous snakes and making elephants trample on him. Prahlada chanted the name of Narayana ceaselessly, and emerged unscathed and victorious. That is why it is said, Yath bhavam, that bhavathi (As is the feeling, so is the experience). God manifests on the basis of the feelings of the devotee. If you pray to God with purity of heart and love, you will experience Him as such.

Message For the Day…” How to Visualize the Form of God at all Times…”…

There are three stages of sadhana (spiritual practice). They are concentration, contemplation and meditation. Concentration entails fixing your gaze on one form. Contemplation occurs when you are able to perceive the form within you, even in its absence. Meditation means when, as a result of this exercise, this form is permanently imprinted in your heart. If you continue to meditate in this manner, the form will constantly be fixed in your heart. You should not confine your spiritual practices only to concentration and contemplation. While it is true that these are the first steps in your spiritual practices, you must progress further; you must transform concentration to contemplation, and then contemplation into meditation. When you carry this out, you will continue to visualize the form of God at all times. The ancientrishis (seers) adopted this form of meditation. That is why God manifested before them whenever they wished, talked to them and fulfilled their desires.

Message for the Day…” Once You Gaze at the world with a Divine Attitude, You See Only Divinity…”

The entire Universe is suffused with Divinity. Since your mind is steeped in Prakruthi (worldly objects) you are not able to seeParamatma (Divine). Just as when you focus your attention at a necklace, you shut your eyes to what it is made of, similarly as long as you look at the world with a materialistic attitude, Divinity shuts itself off from us. Once you gaze at the world with a divine attitude you see only Divinity. Who are the thieves that steal from every human being their peace and joy? They are the thieves of desire, pride, greed, infatuation, anger and jealousy, who rob a man of all his riches. But the worst of all thieves who inflicts the worst damage is matsarya (envy). We must win over our internal enemies and turn our gaze to Divinity who pervades the entire Universe.
