Farmer Joe was in his car when he was hit by a truck. He decided his injuries from the accident were serious enough to take the trucking company (responsible for the accident) to court. In court the trucking company’s fancy lawyer was questioning farmer Joe. “Didn’t you say, at the scene of the accident, ‘I’m fine’?” said the lawyer.
Farmer Joe responded, “Well I’ll tell you what happened. I had just loaded my favorite mule Bessie into the….” “I didn’t ask for any details,” the lawyer interrupted, “just answer the question.”
“Did you not say, at the scene of the accident, ‘I’m fine’!”
Farmer Joe said, “Well I had just got Bessie into the trailer and I was driving down the road….”
The lawyer interrupted again and said, “Judge, I am trying to establish the fact that, at the scene of the accident, this man told the Highway Patrolman on the scene that he was just fine. Now several weeks after the accident he is trying to sue my client. I believe he is a fraud. Please tell him to simply answer the question.”
By this time the Judge was fairly interested in Farmer Joe’s answer and said to the lawyer, “I’d like to hear what he has to say about his favorite mule Bessie.”
Joe thanked the Judge and proceeded, “Well as I was saying, I had just loaded Bessie, my favorite mule, into the trailer and was driving her down the highway when this huge semi-truck and trailer ran the stop sign and smacked my truck right in the side. I was thrown into one ditch and Bessie was thrown into the other.
I was hurting real bad and didn’t want to move. However, I could hear ole Bessie moaning and groaning. I knew she was in terrible shape just by her groans.
Shortly after the accident a Highway Patrolman came on the scene. He could hear Bessie moaning and groaning so he went over to her. After he looked at her, he took out his gun and shot her between the eyes.
Then the Patrolman came across the road with his gun in his hand and looked at me. He said, “Your mule was in such bad shape I had to shoot her. How are you feeling?”

Many take tea and coffee in excessive quantities; this kill the body’s capacity to sleep. Drivers who drive vehicles during nights take excessive tea and students who are preparing for exams also do the same. Do not avoid sleep, this is a great mistake. A person can live without food, but not without sleep. Many students have the habit of studying through the night and sleeping during the day. Most living beings, including birds and beasts, sleep during the night. A person, who reads in the night as a habit, is cultivating Rajasic and Tamasic qualities. Change this habit slowly. If you read throughout the night and sleep through the day, your retention of what you studied will not be very strong. If you must put in hard work, get up early, say 3 or 4 a.m. and study. After early morning study, do not go and sleep again. This is the Sathwik way of life.

“என் பெண்ணுக்கு இருதயத்தில் ஓட்டை இருக்கிறதாம். டாக்டர்கள் சொல்வதை கேட்டாலே குலை நடுங்குறது” என்று முறையிட்டார் பள்ளிக்கூட ஆசிரியர் ஒருவர்.

“அதாவது, ஹார்ட், ஹோலா இல்லை; அதில் ஹோல் இருக்கு என்கிறே?”

ஆசிரியருக்கு புரியவில்லை. கேள்வி கேட்டு பழக்கம். கேள்வி கேட்கப்பட்டு பழக்கம் இல்லை.

“ஹார்ட், W-H-O-L-E ஆக (முழுமையாக, பூரணமாக) இல்லை; அதில், H-O-L-E இருக்கு என்கிறே?”

ஆசிரியர் பெருமூச்சு விட்டார். (அவரை பெஞ்சு மேல் நிற்க சொல்லவில்லை, பெரியவா!)

“வேறே என்ன வேலை பண்றே?”

ஆசிரியர் விழித்தார். “நான் ஆசிரியத் தொழிலை தவிர வேறு வேலையும் செய்கிறேன்’ என்பது பெரியவாளுக்கு எப்படி தெரியும்? “வேறு வேலை எதுவும் இல்லை” என்று சொல்லிவிட்டால் போகிறது! பெரியவாள் குடைந்து கொண்டா இருக்க போகிறார்கள்?

அந்த தெய்வ சந்தியில் பொய்சொல் வெளியே வர அஞ்சியது போலும்!

“தங்கம், வைரம்… வியாபாரம்…” என்று மென்று விழுங்கினார்.

பெரியவாள் கனிவுடன் சொன்னார்கள்:

“பெரிய பெரிய வியாதியெல்லாம் கூட, தான – தர்மங்கள் செய்தால் போய்விடும் என்று சொல்லியிருக்கு. இங்கே ஏழைகள் வந்து, கல்யாணத்துக்குத் திருமாங்கல்யம் கேட்கிறார்கள். நூற்றெட்டு திருமாங்கல்யம் செய்து வந்து கொடு. கேட்பவர்களுக்கு கொடுக்கலாம்…”

அடுத்த மாதமே நூற்றெட்டு திருமாங்கல்யம் கொண்டு வந்து சமர்பித்தார், ஆசிரியர் பணி செய்யும் தங்க வியாபாரி.

“Good – hearted ன்னு இங்கிலிஷ்லே சொல்லுவா. நீயும் உன் புத்திரியும் good – hearted!” என்றார்கள் பெரியவாள்.

அப்புறம், பெரியவாள் வாக்குக்கு மேலே என்ன மருந்து வேண்டும்?

தேவாமிர்தம் பருகியவனுக்கு பாயசம் எதற்கு?

ஆசிரியரின் பெண் சௌபாக்யவதியாக இருக்கிறாள் – whole hearted ஆக!

One First Class Fare Flight Ticket… Free Food at Airport For One Year !!!

Genius man used one first class airplane ticket to eat free for a year

Airports are often terrible places to be. There are too many people rushing somewhere combined with too many cranky folks leaving somewhere mixed with annoying obstacles in the form of TSA security and rolling luggages. But it’s just like that for us normal folk. For first class flyers? It’s like being a rock star. One genius man took advantage of his rock star status and used one single first class airplane ticket to eat food for free for an entire year.

It’s an absolutely brilliant ploy. You see, when you have a first class ticket, you can stroll into the fanciest VIP airport lounge and grab whatever you want because once you’re inside that VIP lounge, anything you want—yes, including food—is free.

News.com.au relays a report from Kwong Wah Yit Poh of a genius man in China who took advantage of the free perks of those airport lounges. He booked a first class ticket on China Eastern Airlines and went to the VIP airport lounge at the Xi’an airport in Shaanxi, China and ate a delicious meal before his flight. Just like any first class traveler would. Except he never takes the flight. After he finished eating, the man changed his flight’s departure for another day and went back home. Until tomorrow. Armed with a brand new first class ticket for a new day, he comes back to the airport lounge, eats another fantastic free meal and after he finishes up, yep, pushes his flight back again. Lather. Eat. Repeat. For free.

In fact, he pretty much got a year of free meals out of this trick because he changed his flight itinerary over 300 times in the same year. The man sure knows how to work a loophole.

The best part though? When China Eastern Airlines started investigating this heroic man for changing his flights too many times, he simply canceled his airplane ticket and got a full refund. Well done, sir. Well done.

Food is considered God, as it is the source of a person’s life, body, mind, and character. Eat only what you need. Do not be greedy and take more than you can eat and waste the rest. Wasting food is a great sin; your surplus can feed another stomach. Even a major part of the food you consume, the gross part, is thrown out as waste matter. A minute amount of the food, which is the subtle part, is assimilated by the body and flows as blood. And a minuscule amount, which is the subtlest part of the food, makes up your mind. Therefore mind is the reflection of the food consumed. When demonic tendencies arise in our minds, know that it is from the food we consume. To receive real nourishment, pay attention to the quality of food that you eat and let it be very pure, clean, sanctified, and Satwik.
