How to Distinguish Between Confidence and Ego ?!!!

Self Confidence Vs Ego

There is a thin line dividing confidence and ego. Most of the time we get confused and fail to decide whether we are on the right track or our ego is dominating in the guise of confidence. When ego dominates every success turns into failure. One has to be very careful about it. How to distinguish between confidence and ego?-

A man of confidence says that he can do the work and others can also do it; where as a man of ego says that he alone can do it and nobody else can.

A man of confidence always try to encourage and help others in building their confidence, whereas a man of ego tries to curb and discourage others when they try to come up in life.

A man of confidence always attracts people. Even the weak feel confident and elevated in his company. Where as an egoistic person creates repulsion in the minds of people who try to avoid him because of his boastful nature.

A man of confidence appreciates the success of others and shares happiness with them. Whereas a man of ego discourages and humiliates others and feels jealous of the success of others.

There is a joy in working with people of confidence because they are always cheerful and can mix with everybody. In the presence of egoistic people even the man of confidence feel an inferiority complex. They feel nervous to work them.

A man of confidence always commands love and respect whereas a man of ego always demands and expects love and respect.
Confident people are always successful in every field of life because they can conquer the hearts of all by putting their faith and confidence in others and receive all help and cooperation from colleagues and friends. A man of ego always suffers setbacks and failures loosing men and power because of his arrogant approach which adds only to his worries and tensions.

In one word a man of self confidence puts his faith in the inner most Divine self, the source of all power and energy and also feels presence of Divine in everyone while dealing with them whereas the ego-centric person puts his faith only in his mental and intellectual abilities and skills, forgetting the Divine, which operates through mind and intellect out of ignorance. He applies the same standards while dealing with others. He is only aware of the weaknesses and drawbacks and never realizes that the perfect Divine is hidden behind these superficial appearances, which can be awakened by constant training and positive approach.

Message For The Day….Lesson Narada Learnt From Gopikas !!!!

Narada, the celestial sage, was once so shocked at the ignorance of the Gopikas, that he volunteered to put them through some spiritual lessons. After coming to Brindavan, he noticed that these cowherd girls who were selling milk or curds were calling, “Govinda, Narayana,” instead of the wares they were selling; so immersed were they in God-consciousness. They did not know that they had sold off all the milk; they still wandered on, calling out the names of the Lord. They had novishayavasana, that is, no wish for sensual objects; and so they had no ajnana (ignorance). Narada concluded that they had no need for his lessons instead he prayed to them to teach him the means of getting that yearning and that vision of the all-pervading Krishna. To conquer egoism, no rigorous system of exercise, breath control or complicated scholarship is necessary! The simple Gopikas, have demonstrated this truth.

Perfectly Balanced Stones!!!!

He balances them and they balance him right back. That is relationship that has formed between Michael Grabb and his special art pieces. Grabb makes most of his statues in the streams of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. His is a Sisyphean work of piling and balancing the stones one on top of another.

This activity, he says, balances the material world with the spiritual one.On the one hand is the material nature that rocks symbolize, on the other, the perfect harmony and balance that comes from the spiritual world, as well as the connection to the natural world. The results are fantastic and creative, when we see his implausible creations.

Message For The Day….Be Ever Alert Against Temptations….

The temptation to ignore Dharma grows from egoism and the acceptance of false values. The wish to satisfy the lower desire is the root of adharma (unrighteousness). This wish takes hold of you slyly, pretending to be a comrade come to save you, or like a servant come to attend on you, or like a counsellor come to warn you. Wickedness has a thousand tricks to capture your heart. You must be ever alert against the temptation; you often remind others of Dharma when you desire to squeeze some advantage from them. You must remember not only the rights that Dharma confers but also the duties it imposes.

Airline To Fly Woman to Taiwan to Fetch Her Lost Camera !!!!!

camera

China Airlines says it will pay for a Georgia woman to fly to Taiwan to be reunited with a photo-laden camera she lost on a 2007 vacation.

The camera belongs to Lindsay Scallan, who says she lost the waterproof digital camera during a nighttime scuba-diving trip in 2007.

“It was my first time in Hawaii ever, so I was pretty upset I had lost all my memories,” she tells Atlanta’sWSB-TV.

VIDEO: Camera found in Taiwan belongs to Georgia woman

But Scallan’s camera finally washed ashore this month, nearly six years after she lost it. And in Taiwan, about 6,000 miles from Hawaii.

It was on a Taiwan beach where a manager of Taiwan-based China Airlines found it while vacationing with his family.

The camera was covered in seaweed and barnacles, but its waterproof casing was still intact, according WSB.

“An employee of China Airlines found my camera, found the pictures still on the memory card and got in touch with Hawaiian officials to see if they could help find who the owner was — the mystery blond woman as they called it,” Scallan says to CBS Atlanta 46.

The Taipei Times reports that Scallan’s photos included a shot of a catamaran called Teralani 3, which the China Airlines employee tracked to Maui. That’s how the employee — identified by the Times as Douglas Cheng — got the idea to get in touch with Hawaiian officials.

China Airlines created a Facebook page that showed a picture of “the mystery blond woman” along with a page title saying: “China Airlines Is Looking For You.”

The Times writes Cheng “contacted Hawaiian authorities and the tourism bureau through (the airline’s) Honolulu office … .”

Eventually, the story made it to local Hawaii TV stations, with a report aired via the local Hawaii News Now TV platform.

Hawaii News Now says “the mystery unraveled” after it aired a report on Friday that then “went viral.”

“Facebook fans shared, and shared — thousands of times. A high school friend of Lindsay Scallan’s saw our story, and pointed us to her Facebook page Sunday morning. She calls it unbelievable,” Hawaii News Now says in its report.

Next up for Scallan: An all-expensive paid vacation to Taiwan, where she will meet Cheng and be reunited with her camera.

“China Airlines has offered to pay for me to go out there and my room, board and my food and everything,” Scallan tells CBS Atlanta. “An all expenses paid trip to come out there and get my camera back and meet the guy that found it. It’s been a wild ride.”

“Everyone’s talking about it. It’s pretty neat,” she adds to Hawaii News Now.

Who, What, Why: What is ‘ungoogleable’?!!!

Google sweets

The word “ungoogleable” has been removed from a list of new Swedish words after a trademark spat. But it raises the question of what can and can’t be found with a search engine.

Today Google appears to be the font of all data.

The idea that something can’t be found online is strange enough to have spawned its own adjective.

The word “ungoogleable” is in the headlines after a dispute between the search engine giant and Sweden’s language watchdog.

The Language Council of Sweden wanted to include “ungoogleable” – or “ogooglebar” – in its annual list of new Swedish words. But it defined the term as something that cannot be found with any search engine.

Google wanted the Swedish translation to be changed to refer only to Google searches, and the Council opted to remove the word altogether to avoid a lengthy legal battle.

The spat raises the question of just what “ungoogleable” means. Or more specifically, are some things still impossible to find with a search engine? And if so, is it a deliberate strategy?

To be ungoogleable might be a blessing  or curse !!!!
