வாலி கடந்து வந்த பாதை…(1931-2013) கவிஞர் வாலி காலமானார்...! திரையுலகினர் கண்ணீர் அஞ்சலி

கவிஞர் வாலி, 1931 அக்., 29ல் திருச்சிக்கு அருகே உள்ள திருப்பராய்த்துறையில் பிறந்தார். இவரது பெற்றோர் ஸ்ரீனிவாச அய்யங்கார் – பொன்னம்மாள். பின் ஸ்ரீரங்கத்துக்கு குடி பெயர்ந்தார் வாலி. இளம் வயதில் நண்பர்களின் உதவியுடன் நேதாஜி எனும் கையெழுத்து பத்திரிகையை துவக்கினார். அதன் முதல் பிரதியை வெளியிட்டவர் எழுத்தாளர் கல்கி. இதில் பங்கேற்ற பல இளைஞர்களில் ஒருவர் தான், பின்னாளில் புகழ்பெற்ற எழுத்தாளரான சுஜாதா. துவக்க விழாவுக்கு திருச்சி வானொலி நிலைய அதிகாரி பார்த்தசாரதி அவர்களும் வந்திருந்ததாலும், வானொலிக்கு கதைகள் நாடகங்கள் எழுதிக்கொடுக்கும் வாய்ப்பு வாலிக்கு கிடைத்தது. இதன் மூலம் வாலியின் கவிதை திறன் வெளிப்பட்டது.

வாலியானது எப்படி…?

தமிழ் மேல் பற்று கொண்டிருந்த இளம் வயதில் வாலி ஓவியத்தில் ஈடுபாடு மிக்கவராக இருந்தார். பள்ளிப் பருவத்தில், பிரபல ஓவியர் மாலி மீது கொண்ட பற்றினால், தானும் ஒரு சிறந்த ஓவியராக வரவேண்டும் என விரும்பினார். இதையடுத்து நீயும் அவரைப் போல வரவேண்டும் என இவரது பள்ளி நண்பர் பாபு, இவருக்கு வாலி எனப் பெயர் வைத்தார்.

வாலிப கவிஞர்…!

எஸ்.எஸ்.எல்.சி., தேர்ச்சிக்குப் பின், சென்னை ஓவியக் கல்லூரியில் ஒரு வருடப் படிப்பை முடித்தார். இவரை சினிமாவுக்கு பாட்டெழுத அழைத்து வந்தவர் டி.எம்.சவுந்தர்ராஜன். 1958ம் ஆண்டு பாடலாசிரியராக சினிமாவில் கால்பதித்தார். எம்.ஜி.ஆர்., சிவாஜி, ரஜினி, கமல் முதல் இன்றைய தனுஷ், சிம்பு வரை சுமார் மூன்று தலைமுறை சினிமாவிற்கு 10ஆயிரத்திற்கும் மேற்பட்ட பாடல்களை எழுதியுள்ளார். குறிப்பாக எம்.ஜி.ஆரின் சூப்பர்-டூப்பர் ஹிட் பாடல்களை கொடுத்த பெருமைக்குரியவர் வாலி என்று சொல்லலாம். இவரது பாடல்வரிகளில் விஷேசம் என்னவென்றால் தூய தமிழ் வார்த்தைகள் மட்டுமல்லாது போஃக், ஹிப்-ஹாப் போன்ற பாடல்களையும் கலந்து கட்டி தனது பாடல் வரிகளில் கொடுக்கும் வல்லமை படைத்தவர். இன்றைய இளைஞர்களுக்கு ஏற்றவாரும் பாடல்களை கொடுத்தவர்.

இதுக்கு மேல என்னால் முடியாது

அபூர்வ சகோதரர்கள் படத்திற்கு பாடல் வரிகள் எழுதும்போது கமல், காதல் தோல்வியை மையப்படுத்தி ஒரு பாட்டு எழுதுங்கள் என்று வாலியிடம் சொல்லியிருக்கிறார். அவரும் சுமார் 5 பாடல்களை கமலுக்கு எழுதி கொடுத்துள்ளார். ஆனால் கமல் திருப்திபடவில்லை. பின்னர் இறுதியாக 6வதாக ஒரு பாட்டை எழுதி கமலிடம் கொடுத்து, இதுக்கு மேல் என்னால் பாடல் எழுத முடியாது என்று சொல்லியுள்ளார். அந்தப்பாடல் தான் உன்ன நெச்சேன் பாட்டு படிச்சேன் என்ற பாடல்… அந்தப்பாடல் தான் தேசிய விருது பெற்றது.

பன்முக வாலி

பாடலாசிரியராக மட்டுமல்லாமல், அவதார புருஷன், பாண்டவர் பூமி, ராமானுஜ காவியம், கிருஷ்ண விஜயம், வாலிப வாலி… உள்ளிட்ட புத்தகங்களையும் எழுதியுள்ளார். மேலும் சத்யா, ஹேராம், பார்த்தாலே பரவசம், பொய்க்கால் குதிரை போன்ற படங்களிலும் நடித்துள்ளார். மேலும் 17 திரைப்படங்களுக்கு, திரைக்கதை, வசனம் எழுதியுள்ளார். வடை மாலை எனும் திரைப்படத்தை, மாருதிராவுடன் சேர்ந்து இயக்கியுள்ளார்.

பிடித்தது

* வெற்றிலை பாக்கு பிரியரான இவர், 15 வயதிலிருந்து தொடர்ந்த இப்பழக்கத்தை, 76 வயது வரை தொடர்ந்தார். பின் நிறுத்திவிட்டார். கவிதை, உரைநடை, சிறுகதை உட்பட, 15 புத்தகங்களை எழுதியுள்ளார்.

* வெள்ளை மற்றும் சந்தன நிற ஆடையை விரும்பும் இவர், இதுவரை, வெளிநாடு எங்கும் சென்றதில்லை. இவருக்கு இஷ்ட தெய்வம், முருகன்; பிடித்த விளையாட்டு, கிரிக்கெட்.

மனம் மாறி வாலி

கவிதையின் இமயமாக கருதப்படும் வாலி இளமைக்காலத்தில் வறுமையின் காரணமாக தனது வாழ்க்கையில் ஒருமுறை தற்கொலை முடிவை எடுத்தார். அப்போது கண்ணதாசன் சுமைதாங்கி என்ற படத்துக்காக எழுதிய’ ‘மயக்கமா கலக்கமா வாழ்க்கையில் வருத்தமா “என்ற பாடலில் ” உனக்கும் கீழே உள்ளவர் கோடி; நினைத்து பார்த்து நிம்மதி தேடு ” என்ற பாடல் வரியைக் கேட்டு வாலி மனம் மாறி, தற்கொலை முடிவை கைவிட்டார். இதன் பின் தன்னம்பிக்கையுடன் புதிய வாழ்க்கையை தொடங்கினார்.

விருதுகள்…

வாலியின் கலைச்சேவையை பாராட்டி 2007ம் ஆண்டு மத்திய அரசு அவருக்கு பத்மஸ்ரீ விருது வழங்கி கவுரவித்தது. இதுதவிர தமிழக அரசு மாநில விருதுகளை ஐந்து முறை (எங்கள் தங்கம் -1970, இவர்கள் வித்தியாசமானவர்கள் – 1979, வருஷம் பதினாறு, அபூர்வ ராகங்கள் – 1989, கேளடி கண்மணி – 1990, தசாவதாரம் – 2008) பெற்றுள்ளார்.

கடைசி பாடல்…

வசந்தபாலன் இயக்கத்தில் உருவாகி வரும் காவியத்தலைவன் படத்திற்காக எழுதப்பட்டுள்ள கோடாளி மூடிச்சு போட்டு… என்று தொடங்கும் பாடல் தான் வாலி எழுதியிருக்கும் கடைசி பட பாடல். இதற்கு ஏ.ஆர்.ரஹ்மான் இசையமைத்துள்ளார்.

வாலியின் பிரபலமான பாடல் வரிகள்….

புதிய வானம் புதிய பூமி, ஏமாற்றாதே ஏமாறாதே, வெள்ளிக் கிண்ணம்தான் தங்க கைகளில்,, கண் போன போக்கிலே கால் போகலாமா, நல்ல பேரை வாங்க வேண்டும் பிள்ளைகளே, காற்று வாங்க போனேன் ஒரு கவிதை வாங்கி வந்தேன், நான் ஒரு குழந்தை நீ ஒரு குழந்தை, நான் உன்னை வாழ்த்தி பாடுகிறேன், மன்னிக்க வேண்டுகிறேன், தரைமேல் பிறக்க வைத்தான், எங்களை கண்ணீரில் , இறைவா உன் மாளிகையில், நான் மலரோடு தனியாக ஏன், மூன்றெழுத்தில் என் மூச்சிருக்கும், நான் ஆணையிட்டால், அது நடந்து விட்டால், அம்மா என்றழைக்காத உயிர் இல்லையை, மாதவி பொன்மயிலாள் தோகை விரித்தாள், அந்த நாள் ஞாபகம் நெஞ்சினிலே வந்ததே நண்பனே, கல்லை மட்டும் கண்டால் கடவுள் தெரியாது.

வாலி அவர்கள் இன்று மண்ணுலகை விட்டு சென்றாலும் அவர் தந்த காலத்தால் அழியாத பாடல்கள் பல என்றும் இந்த உலகம் இருக்கும் வரை இருக்கும் என்பது திண்ணம்…!!

ஆனந்த விகடன் ஆசிரியராக இருந்த எழுத்தாளர்
மணியன். பிற்காலத்தில் தனக்குச் சொந்தமாக-
இதயம் பேசுகிறது என்கிற பத்திரிகையை
ஆரம்பித்தார்.

அந்தப் பத்திரிகையில் அவர் வெளிநாட்டுக்குச்
சென்று இருந்தபோது நடந்த ஓர் அற்புதமான
விஷயத்தைக் குறிப்பிட்டு இருக்கிறார். எந்த
நாட்டிற்குப் போனாலும் அவர் தங்கும் அறையில்
இருக்கும் மேஜை மீது காஞ்சி மகானின் படத்தை
வைத்து, தினமும் வணங்குவது வழக்கம். அவர்
அப்போது தங்கி இருந்தது ஓர் ஆங்கிலேயரின் வீடு.

வீட்டின் சொந்தக்காரர், மணியனிடம்
“படத்தில் இருப்பவர் யார்?” என்று கேட்டு
இருக்கிறார். “அவர் நான் வணங்கும் தெய்வம்”
என்று பதில் சொன்னார் மணியன்.

“சக்தி வாய்ந்த தெய்வமா அவர்? நாம் நினைத்தது
நடக்குமா? என்று ஆங்கிலேயர் ஒரு வினா எழுப்ப
அதற்கும் மணியன் பதில் சொன்னார்.

“நாம் உண்மையாக வேண்டிக் கொண்டால்,
நிச்சயம் நாம் நினைத்தது நடக்கும். அந்த
கருணைக்கடல் அதை நிறைவேற்றி வைப்பார்.

மணியன் சொன்ன தோரணை,அவர் குரலில்
ஒலித்த
பக்தி, ஆங்கிலேயரை நம்பச் செய்தது.

“என் மகன் எங்கோ போய்விட்டான்…அவனைப்
பிரிந்து என் மனைவி ஓயாமல் அழுது கொண்டு
இருக்கிறாள். அதனால்தான் ஒரு நம்பிக்கையோடு
உங்களிடம் கேட்டேன்.

“எங்கள் குருவான காஞ்சி மகானை நீங்கள்
மனமுருகி
பிரார்த்தியுங்கள்..உங்களுக்கு அவரது அருள்
நிச்சயம் கிட்டும்.

மணியன் வாக்கை அப்படியே ஏற்றுக்கொண்ட
ஆங்கிலேயர், காஞ்சி தெய்வத்தின் படத்தின்
முன் நின்று மனமுருகி வேண்டி தனக்கு
அருள் புரியும்படி வேண்டிக் கொண்டார்.

சில மணி நேரம் கடந்ததும், அவரது வீட்டு
போன் ஒலித்தது.ஆங்கிலேயர் போய் போனை
எடுத்தார். போனில் வந்த செய்தி அவருக்கு
அளவு கடந்த வியப்பை அளித்தது.

காணாமற்போன அவரது மகன்தான் பேசினான்,
தான் எங்கேயோ பொயிருந்ததாகவும்,
இப்போது ஊருக்கு வந்துவிட்டதாகவும்,உடனே
வீட்டுக்கு வருவதாகவும் தகவல் சொன்னான்.

ஆங்கிலேயருக்கு மெய் சிலிர்த்தது.காஞ்சி மகானை
வணங்கியபடியே,மணியனுக்கு நன்றி சொன்னார்.

“எங்கள் தெய்வம்…இவர்தான்….இந்த உருவில்தான்
தெய்வத்தைப் பார்ப்போம்” என்று கடல் கடந்து
எங்கேயோ இருந்த ஆங்கிலேய தம்பதிகள்
ஆனந்த அனுபவத்தில் உருகி நின்றார்கள்.

Success Story Of Turkish Airlines with Simple Planning !!!

Turkish Airlines is dominating in its field.

In an industry where making money is insanely hard, the airline’s operating profit nearly tripled in 2012 (after dropping in 2010 and 2011).

One of the world’s fastest growing airlines, it’s adding destinations and buying planes at a rapid pace.

And it’s collecting tons of awards, including the Skytrax award for “Best Airline in Europe,” announced at the Paris Air Show in June.

In an interview, Turkish Airlines CEO Dr. Temel Kotil said his company excels by offering top of the line service, but also benefits from its geographical position.

“We are in the center,” he explained, which makes it easy to connect growing markets in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East with established areas like Europe.

It helps that passenger numbers in Turkey alone are up 16.7% year-over-year — a rate topped only by Indonesia (18.2%) and Thailand (17.7%), according to new stats from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

Asked how the carrier plans to continue that pace of growth, Kotil said it was focused on adding destinations. Turkish Airlines already reaches more than 230 airports in 103 countries. Since May 20, it has issued ten different press releases announcing new destinations.

Turkish Airlines CEO Dr. Temel Kotil has big plans for growth.

“Of course we’ll keep on growing,” Kotil said, suggesting the addition of another 100 locations in the next decade, or less. “We are very aggressive in going different places.”

Along with more destinations come more airplanes. Today, the carrier has 228 aircraft in its employ — “still not enough,” Kotil said.

That will nearly double by 2020, to 415 planes, according to Kotil. The current fleet is mostly narrowbody (single aisle) aircraft, and the airline would consider ordering bigger, more advanced aircraft like the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A350, which tout fuel efficiency as a key feature.

While Kotil acknowledged the high cost of fuel (which accounted for 33% of global airline operating costs in 2012), he said that adding capacity to meet demand is more important for now than buying more economical planes.

“It’s okay whatever you have,” he said.

In the spring of 1981, David Bradley was part of a select team working from a nondescript office building in Boca Raton, Fla. His task: to help build IBM’s new personal computer. Because Apple and RadioShack were already selling small stand-alone computers, the project (code name: Acorn) was a rush job. Instead of the typical three- to five-year turnaround, Acorn had to be completed in a single year.

One of the programmers’ pet peeves was that whenever the computer encountered a coding glitch, they had to manually restart the entire system. Turning the machine back on automatically initiated a series of memory tests, which stole valuable time. “Some days, you’d be rebooting every five minutes as you searched for the problem,” Bradley says. The tedious tests made the coders want to pull their hair out.

So Bradley created a keyboard shortcut that triggered a system reset without the memory tests. He never dreamed that the simple fix would make him a programming hero, someone who’d someday be hounded to autograph keyboards at conferences. And he didn’t foresee the command becoming such an integral part of the user experience.

Bradley joined IBM as a programmer in 1975. By 1978, he was working on the Datamaster, the company’s early, flawed attempt at a PC. It was an exciting time—computers were starting to become more accessible, and Bradley had a chance to help popularize them.

In September 1980, he became the 12th of 12 engineers picked to work on Acorn. The close-knit team was whisked away from IBM’s New York headquarters. “We had very little interference,” Bradley says. “We got to do the design essentially starting with a blank sheet of paper.”

Bradley worked on everything from writing input/output programs to troubleshooting wire-wrap boards. Five months into the project, he created ctrl+alt+del. The task was just another item to tick off his to-do list. “It was five minutes, 10 minutes of activity, and then I moved on to the next of the 100 things that needed to get done,” he says. Bradley chose the keys by location—with the del key across the keyboard from the other two, it seemed unlikely that all three would be accidentally pressed at the same time. Bradley never intended to make the shortcut available to customers, nor did he expect it to enter the pop lexicon. It was meant for him and his fellow coders, for whom every second counted.

The team managed to finish Acorn on schedule. In the fall of 1981, the IBM PC hit shelves—a homely gray box beneath a monitor that spit out green lines of type. Marketing experts predicted that the company would sell a modest 241,683 units in the first five years; company execs thought that estimate was too optimistic. They were all wrong. IBM PC sales would reach into the millions, with people of all ages using the machines to play games, edit documents, and crunch numbers. Computing would never be the same.

And yet, few of these consumers were aware of Bradley’s shortcut quietly lingering in their machines. It wasn’t until the early 1990s, when Microsoft’s Windows took off, that the shortcut came to prominence. As PCs all over the country crashed and the infamous “blue screen of death” plagued Windows users, a quick fix spread from friend to friend: ctrl+alt+del. Suddenly, Bradley’s little code was a big deal. Journalists hailed “the three-finger salute” as a saving grace for PC owners—a population that kept growing.

In 2001, hundreds of people packed into the San Jose Tech Museum of Innovation to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the IBM PC. In two decades, the company had moved more than 500 million PCs worldwide. After dinner, industry luminaries, including Microsoft chairman Bill Gates, sat down for a panel discussion. But the first question didn’t go to Gates; it went to David Bradley. The programmer, who has always been surprised by how popular those five minutes spent creating ctrl+alt+del made him, was quick to deflect the glory.

திருநெல்வேலி பக்கத்துக்காரர் ஒருத்தரோட கதைதான் இதுவும். அவர் பேர் சிவன். அந்தப் பக்கத்து கிராமத்துலே இருந்து மடத்துக்கு அடிக்கடி வந்து போவார் அவர்.வீர சைவர் பிரிவைச் சேர்ந்தவர். நெத்தியிலே பட்டை பட்டையா விபூதி பூசிண்டு, ‘சிவப் பழம்’ மாதிரி இருப்பார். சுத்தம் என்றால் அவ்வளவு சுத்தம். ஆசாரம் என்றால் அவ்வளவு ஆசாரம். சாப்பாட்டுல வெங்காயம் கூடச் சேர்த்துக்க மாட்டார்! அப்படி ஒரு கட்டுப்பாடு.

சிவன் காஞ்சிபுரம் வந்தார்னா, பெரியவாதான் அவருக்கு எல்லாம். அவருக்கு 80 வயசு. பெரும் பணக்காரர். மகா பெரியவாதான் அவருக்கு தெய்வம். பெரியவா சொல்றதுதான் அவருக்கு வேத வாக்கு!

காஞ்சிபுரம் வரபோது, கையிலே ஒரு மஞ்சள் பை எடுத்துண்டு வருவார். அதில் துண்டு, வேட்டி, விபூதி பிரசாதம், கொஞ்சம் போல பணம்… இவ்வளவுதான் இருக்கும்.
பெரியவாளோட சந்நிதானத் துல போய் உட்கார்ந்தார்னா, அவருக்கு நேரம்- காலம் போறதே தெரியாது. பத்து நாள் தரிசனம் பண்ணினாலும், அவருக்குப் போறாது.

சரி, பெரியவா கிட்டே பேசுவா ரோ? ஊஹூம். சந்தேகம் ஏதாவது கேட்பாரோ? அதுவும் இல்லை.

”பெரியவர் எங்கிட்டே பேசணும்னு அவசியமே இல்லீங்க! அவர் மனசுல நான் நிறைஞ்சிருக்கேன்கிறதுதான் எனக்கு முக்கியம்”னுவார். வெளியிடத்துக்கு வந்தார்னா சாப்பிட மாட்டார்; அவ்வளவு ஏன், ஒரு வாய் ஜலம்கூட வாங்கிக் குடிக்க மாட்டார்.

ஒரு தடவை தரிசனம் எல்லாம் முடிஞ்சு, பெரியவாகிட்டே உத்தரவு வாங்கிக்கப் போனார் சிவன். வழக்கமா கை அசைச்சு ஆசீர்வதிச்சு அனுப்பி வைக்கிறவர் அன்னிக்கு என்னவோ, ”கிளம்பியாச்சா ஊருக்கு? சோடாவாவது வாங்கி ஒரு வாய் குடிக்கலாமோல்லியோ? சரி, போறச்சே அதையாவது பண்ணுங்கோ!”ன்னு குறிப்பா சொல்லி விடை கொடுத்தார் பெரியவர்.

செங்கல்பட்டுலே பஸ் ஏறி, திருநெல்வேலிக்குப் புறப் பட்டுட்டார் சிவன். அதே பஸ்ஸூல நாலு பேர், வயசுப் பசங்க உட்கார்ந்திருந்தாங்க. பஸ்ஸூக் குள்ளே கத்தலும் கூச்சலுமா அவங்க பண்ணின அமர்க்களம் தாங்க முடியலை. ஆனா, அந்த முரட்டுப் பசங்களை யாரு கண்டிக்கிறது!

மதுரை நெருங்குறப்போ, ஒரு குக்கிராமத்துல பஸ்ஸை நிறுத்தினார் டிரைவர். அங்கே ஒரு பெட்டிக்கடை இருந்தது. பஸ்ஸின் ஜன்னல் வழியா பார்க்குறப்போ, அந்தப் பெட்டிக் கடையில சோடா பாட்டில்கள் அடுக்கி வெச்சிருக்கிறது சிவன் கண்ணுல பட்டுது. உடனே, ”ஒரு சோடாவாவது வாங்கிக் குடியுங்க”ன்னு பெரியவா சொன்ன வார்த்தைகள்தான் சட்டுனு ஞாபகத்துக்கு வந்துது.

சிவனுக்குத் தண்ணீர் குடிக்கவும் வேண்டியிருந்தது. அதே நேரம், பெரியவா உத்தரவை நிறைவேத்தின மாதிரியும் ஆச்சுன்னு கீழே இறங்கிப் போய், அந்தப் பெட்டிக் கடையில ஒரு சோடா வாங்கிக் குடிச்சுட்டு வந்தார் சிவன்.

பஸ்ஸூக்குள்ள வந்து ஸீட்டைப் பார்த்தால், அவரோட மஞ்சள் பையைக் காணோம். அதுலே பெரிசா சாமானோ பணமோ இல்லேன்னாலும், அவரோட ஸீட்டுல இருந்ததாச்சே!

அப்போ அந்த நாலு முரட்டுப் பசங்களும், ”யோவ் பெரிசு! ஒன்னோட மஞ்சப் பையத் தேடறியா? அதா பார்… பின்னால ஸீட்டுல கிடக்குது. அங்கே போய் உக்காரு!”ன்னு கேலியா சொன்னாங்க.

மஞ்சள் பை பத்திரமாக கடைசி ஸீட்டுக்கு முன் ஸீட்டுல இருந்துது. ‘சரி, ஊர் போய்ச் சேர்ந்தா போதும்; இவங்களோடு நமக்கு என்ன வாக்குவாதம்!’னு அங்கே போய் உட்கார்ந்துட்டார் பெரியவர் சிவன். அந்த நாலு பசங்களில் ரெண்டு பேர், சிவன் இதுவரைக்கும் உட்கார்ந்து வந்த அந்த ஸீட்டுல போய் உக்கார்ந்துண்டாங்க.

ராத்திரி வேளை. பஸ் கிளம்பிச்சு. புறப்பட்டு ஒரு மணி நேரம் ஆகியிருக்கும். என்ன ஆச்சுன்னே தெரியலே, எதிர்ல அசுர வேகத்துல வந்த லாரி ஒண்ணு இந்த பஸ் மேல மோதிடுத்து.

சிவனோட இடத்துல அடமா போய் உட்கார்ந்துண்டு, ”யோவ் பெரிசு, பின்னால போய் உட்காரு”ன்னு எகத்தாளமா சொன்ன அந்த ரெண்டு இள வயசுப் பசங்களும், அங்கேயே ஆன் த ஸ்பாட் செத்துப் போயிட்டாங்க. பெரியவர் சிவன் சின்ன காயம்கூட இல்லாம தப்பிச்சுட்டார்!

‘ஒரு சோடாவாவது வாங்கிச் சாப்பிட்டுப் போங்க’ன்னு பெரியவா ஏன் சொன்னார்? மதுரை குக்கிராமத்துலே, டிரைவர் சரியா ஒரு பெட்டிக்கடை முன்னாடி எதுக்காக பஸ்ஸை நிறுத்தினார்? அங்கே சிவன் கண்ணுல படற மாதிரி சோடா பாட்டில்கள் அடுக்கி வெச்சிருப்பானேன்? பெரியவர் சொன்னாரேங்கிறதுக்காக ராத்திரி அகால வேளையில சோடா சாப்பிட பஸ்ஸை விட்டு சிவன் இறங்கக்கொண்டுதானே, அவரோட உயிர் தப்பிச்சுது?

இதெல்லாம் எப்படி நடக்கிறது! யோசிக்க, யோசிக்க… சிவன் அப்படியே ஓன்னு அழுதுட்டாராம். தான் உயிர் தப்பிச்சது ஒருபுறம் இருக்க, வயசுப் பசங்க ரெண்டு பேரும் அந்த ஸ்தலத்துலயே செத்துப்போனது அவர் மனசை என்னவோ பண்ணிடுத்து.

ஆனா, அவருக்கு ஒண்ணு மட்டும் புரிஞ்சுது. தனக்கும் இன்னிக்குக் கண்டம்தான். பெரியவரை பத்து நாள் தரிசனம் பண்ணிய புண்ணியம்தான் அந்தக் கண்டத்துலேர்ந்து தன்னைக் காப்பாத்தியிருக்கு. யோசிக்க யோசிக்க, அந்த மகான், ‘ஒரு சோடாவானும் சாப்பிட்டுட்டுப் போங்கோ’னு சொன்னது, தெய்வமே நேர்ல வந்து சொன்ன குறிப்பு மாதிரி தோணுச்சு அவருக்கு.

1983-ல், மகா பெரியவா யாத்திரை எல்லாம் போயிட்டுக் காஞ்சிபுரம் திரும்பினப்போ நடந்த சம்பவம் இது.

சிவனோடு நான் பேசிண்டிருந்தபோது, அவர்தான் உடம்பெல்லாம் சிலிர்க்க இந்தச் சம்பவத்தை விவரிச்சு சொன்னார். அதை நான் பெரியவாகிட்டே வந்து சொன்னேன்.
”சிவன் சௌக்கியமா இருக்காரோ?”ன்னு விசாரிச்சார் பெரியவா. தொடர்ந்து, ”நான்தான் அவரைக் காப்பாத்தினேன்னு சொன்னாராக்கும்! அசடு. நான் எங்கேடா காப்பாத்தினேன்! அந்தப் பரமேஸ்வரன்தானே அவரைக் காப்பாத்தினான்!”னார் பெரியவா.
அதைக் கேட்டு எனக்கு உடம்பெல்லாம் சிலிர்த்துப்போச்சு!

“பசு இன்னா இப்டி ஒதைக்குது? கண்ணு ஊட்டிட்டாப்ல இல்ல இருக்குது! ஆனா கன்னு தறில கட்னபடிக்கா இருக்குதே! இதென்னா அக்குறும்பு?’என்று அலுத்து கொள்கிறார், ஸ்ரீ மடத்து இடையர்.

உள்ளே நம்ம பெரியவா குறும்பு குழந்தையாக சிரித்து கொள்கிறார்.

“பாதி ராத்ரில கன்னு “அம்மா”ன்னு கத்தித்து [தம் வயிற்றை தட்டி காட்டி] அதுக்கு போறலைன்னு தெரிஞ்சுது.நான்தான் யாருக்கும் தெரியாம போய் [தம் திருட்டுத்தனத்தை தாமே ரசித்து நகைத்து] கன்னை அவுத்து விட்டேன். அது வயிறு முட்ட முட்ட ஊட்டித்து, அப்புறம்……எங்கேயாவது ஓடிட போறதேன்னு பிடிச்சு கட்டிட்டும் வந்துட்டேன். அதுதான் கறக்க விடமாட்டேங்கறது!”என்றார் அருகிலிருந்தவர்களிடம்.

இம்மாதிரி நிகழ்ச்சி பலமுறை நடந்ததுண்டு!

பசுக்கள் தண்ணீர் பருகுவதை அன்பு நயனங்களால் பருகிகொண்டிருந்த பெரியவாளிடம், ஒரு கன்று துள்ளி ஓடிச்சென்றது. புனித திருவுருவின் மீதே அது உராய்ந்து நிற்க, பாரிஷதர்கள் அதை பிடித்து கட்ட விரைந்தனர்.

பெரியவா “வேண்டாம்” என்று சைகை செய்தார். யாருமே தீண்டாத தெய்வ திருமேனியை உராய்ந்து, பேறு பெற்றுக்கொண்டிருந்தது அந்த கன்று சற்று ஸ்வாதீனம் பெற்று, பெரியவாளின் உள்ளங்காலை மோந்து, நக்கவும் தொடங்க, உள்ளம் நிறைந்த அவரும் அதை முதுகை கோதி கொடுத்தார்.

சரியாக அந்த சமயம். வடமதுரையிலிருந்து வந்த ஒரு சாது, பெரியவாளின் திருக்கோலத்தை கண்டதும் ஆனந்த பாஷ்பம் அடைந்தார்.

“பீதாம்பரதாரியாக, பசுக்கள் சூழ, ஸ்ரீ சரணத்தை கன்று நக்க, கொட்டிலில் விளங்கும் என் கோவிந்த கோபாலனை பிரத்யக்ஷமே கண்டேனே!” என்று நா தழுவி தழுக்க கூறினார்.

விட்டுப்போன அம்சமான, பச்சை துளசி மாலையும் வர, அதனையும் அணிந்து அந்த வடமதுரை சாதுவிற்கு அருளினார்.

Meet Shrinidhi Prakash…. Britain”s First Child Genius !!! @ the Age 11 !!!

When most 11-year-old girls day-dream about their idols, they fantasise about Harry Styles from One Direction and write his name in love hearts all over their school exercise books.

Not Shrinidhi Prakash. She is counting down the days until she meets her very own hero, the BBC’s business editor Robert Peston. She is a big fan of his work.

She hopes he will be impressed by the essay she has penned for him on economic growth, entitled Notes On Austerity. Quite clearly, Shrinidhi is no ordinary girl. This week, she beat more than 2,000 children to be crowned Britain’s first Child Genius – a sort of Mastermind-meets-Countdown, for the under 11s

Over the four-part series, 21 finalists aged eight to 11 were tested in quick-fire rounds such as Debating, Logic, Mental Arithmetic, Spelling and General Knowledge.

Not only were the questions so hard that many were beyond plenty of adults. But the stress for the children answering them was also mercilessly recorded by cameras, which seemed to take perverse pleasure in recording their faces crumple as, one by one, they crashed out of the competition.

Even cycling gold medallist Chris Hoy, a man used to the extreme edge of competition, tweeted that these intelligence tests made ‘the Olympics seem pretty stress-free’.

Other commentators questioned the programme’s seeming failure to acknowledge that other competitors in the group might possibly be on the autistic spectrum in case it jeopardised the fun they were having at the children’s expense.

Yet despite the intense pressure, Shrinidhi thrived. Not only did she manage to recall the order of an entire pack of 52 playing cards, but in the final programme she triumphed with a winning debate speech on whether money brings happiness, correctly identified Lake Baikal in Siberia as the largest freshwater pool in the world and correctly spelled the world ‘metallurgy’.

Shrinidhi’s achievement is all the more impressive when you consider that her first language is not even English, but Tamil, which she still speaks with her family at home, and she came to live in the UK from India only three years ago.

But the supreme irony is that of all the children in the competition, Shrinidhi appeared to be the least pushed by her parents, Suja and Raman. Indeed, the mild-mannered Indian couple looked like pussy cats compared to other tiger mothers in the show.

Shrinidhi, however, seemed to trundle through the competition in her own sweet way. Of all the children who appeared in the series, Shrinidhi, the current Under-12 World Scrabble Champion, seemed the most naturally gifted and the most rightful winner.

Champ: But her parents say she is not driven by achievement

Shrinidhi also showed early promise. By the age of three, she was already a mini media celebrity in India after she was filmed being able to remember the flags of more than 200 different countries. She had learned them by watching the flag-waving spectators at cricket matches with her father.

By five her parents noticed her talent for memory. It morphed into a precocious gift and she began using long words in English. When they introduced her to Scrabble soon after, she began trouncing players several times her age.

So when her father Raman was offered a job in IT in UK, they moved here not only to further his career but also their daughter’s – especially as she already spoke English better than 99.9 per cent of the people who live here already.

So how does Shrinidhi see her life panning out before her, now that she is officially Britain’s cleverest child?

‘I don’t see it as anything different. Because it’s part of my brain, I don’t see anything extraordinary. For me this is normal. One day I would like to study economics or etymology at university. But I would also like to have two Ferraris.’

So after being proclaimed a child genius, what is next on the agenda? Maths A-level? An early Oxbridge application? Thankfully no, says Suja: ‘It’s her Grade One Piano exam.’
