Pure and unselfish love towards all living beings considering them as embodiments of the Divine, with no expectation of reward, is alone true love. Love must be free from dislikes, friendly, and compassionate towards all beings (Adweshtā sarvabhūtānām maitraḥ karuñaivacha)!Whatever be the vicissitudes one may face, whatever be the personal sorrows and privations one may undergo, true love should remain unaffected. Today, when any difficulty arises or when some trouble crops up, love turns into hatred. True love is the sweet fruit that grows out of the fragrant flower of good deeds. Love rules without recourse to the sword. It binds without laws. Like the lotus which blooms when the Sun rises, the heart of man blossoms when love enters it. Like the glow of the flame in a fire, like the rays of the Sun, Divine Love is the natural quality present in every human being.

This image of the interior view from the International Space Station’s Cupola module was taken on Jan. 4, 2015. The large bay windows allows the Expedition 42 crew to see outside. The Cupola houses one of the space station’s two robotic work stations used by astronauts to manipulate the large robotic arm seen through the right window. The robotic arm, or Canadarm2, was used throughout the construction of the station and is still used to grapple visiting cargo vehicles and assist astronauts during spacewalks. The Cupola is attached to the nadir side of the space station and also gives a full panoramic view of the Earth.

Many people have seen feathers as decorative items before. Today, ostrich, peacock and bird of paradise feathers can be seen in haute couture and in the costumes of indigenous peoples.

Alaskan-born and -bred artist Julie Thompson is an astounding exponent of this incredible art form. Known as feather art, this is the drawing or creation of images on feathers.

Julie, a self-taught wildlife artist for nearly 20 years, lives and works in the Pacific Northwest of Canada, close by the beautiful Puget Sound. She strives to make every feather painting as unique as the feathers themselves are, and believes that every feather has a kind of personality relating to the painting it bears.

Only One Passenger On a Flight !!!… Strange But True !!!

A US man from Brooklyn flew home in style on Monday, as practically the only passenger on-board a Cleveland-to-New York flight.

Chris O’Leary tweeted in disbelief after taking his seat as the solo flyer aboard a Delta regional plane and got incredibly personalised safety instructions from flight attendants.

O’Leary’s 9:39am flight home was delayed for hours, so he stayed in his hotel until the afternoon when it was finally going to depart, according to ABC News.

By the time O’Leary reached the airport, he learned that virtually all his fellow passengers had been rebooked on other flights and he somehow missed messages offering the earlier departures.

“They rebooked everyone but me on another flight to LGA,” he tweeted, “so I am literally the only person on this plane.”

He added: “Just got a personal safety briefing from my two flight attendants.”

 

A flight attendant snapped a picture of O’Leary alone in passenger seats.

He tweeted out the image with: “No, I’m not joking. I’m the only one on this plane.”

 

O’Leary was all set to get his personalised ride home, before the Delta plane rolled back to the gate and picked up one more passenger.

O’Leary didn’t mind sharing his flight.

“Part of this is my own stupidity but it ended up working out in my favor,” O’Leary told ABC, grateful that he missed all of the airline’s messages.

 

It’ll be a Cleveland-to-New York flight O’Leary will never forget.

“Well, this has been a interesting day,” he tweeted. “Who knew the simple act of getting on the plane you’re supposed to could amuse so many people?”

Even O’Leary’s mum saw his picture on Twitter.

“Reaction to this story from my mum: `I’m glad you got a haircut,’ “ O’Leary tweeted.

Ice halos are commonly seen by those who look at the skies; we receive several photos of ice halos from somewhere in the world every week, especially in wintertime. Often, we’ll receive many such photos, across a particular region, sometimes for several days in a row. Most ice halos appear as a circle or ring around the sun or moon. Sometimes, if conditions are just right, you do see these wonderful, rare events when the whole sky is filled with halo arcs.

Ice halos are caused by ice crystals in the upper atmosphere, which both refract and reflect sunlight or moonlight.

When Pandavas were in the forest, Krishna visited them. The brothers told Krishna that they took turns during nights to keep a vigil and control the activities of evil spirits and demons. Yuddhistra tried to dissuade Krishna from participating in sentry duty, but Krishna insisted. During the Lord’s turn, no evil spirit appeared. Then came Arjuna, and Krishna watched him from a distance. To Arjuna’s surprise, no evil spirit appeared while Krishna was there. Krishna later explained to Arjuna that evil spirits were only a reflection of one’s hatred and fear, and when one is free from these, no evil spirit would appear or do any harm. Krishna revealed that the Divine existed even in the so-called evil spirits and that if a person gets rid of the evil qualities within him, the evil spirits cannot do any harm. Your anger assumes the form of a demon. If you develop love, everything you confront will have the form of love.
