Message For the Day…” As the Sacred Heart is present in Everyone, You Must firmly Believe that GOD is in Everyone …”

Today in the world, we see many people who say that they have no faith in God. The one who does not have faith in oneself alone will have no faith in God. Truly speaking, nobody can live even for a moment, without faith in God; it is just impossible! Why? Do not be under the impression that God exists somewhere, having a special form, vested with special powers and so on. That which is contained in your own heart as a clean thought and as supreme consciousness is verily God! This sacred part of one’s heart is present in every being in the Universe. There is no one who does not have such a sacred heart. Hence, God is within you and you do not have to look for Him elsewhere. As this sacred heart is present in everyone, you must firmly believe that God is in everyone at all times.

Joke of the Day….” We are ok … We should Celebrate…” !!!

A man and a woman get in a terrible car wreck.

Both of their vehicles were completely destroyed, but fortunately, no one was hurt.

Thankful, the woman says to the man in a flirting tone, “We’re both okay, we should celebrate.”

So the woman gets a bottle of wine out of the trunk of the smashed car, and hands it to the man with a smile.

The man almost forgetting about the accident takes a really big drink, and hands the bottle to the woman.

The woman closes the bottle and put it away.

The man asks, “Aren’t you going to take a drink?”

And the woman replies, “No, I’ll celebrate after the cops leave.”

Message For This Day… Shivarathri…” This Day is a Day When One tries to establish a Bond between Mind and God …”

Rathri means night, signifying darkness. Shiva means auspiciousness. ‘Shivarathri’ signifies auspiciousness which is inherent in darkness. It refers to the wisdom which exists in the midst of ignorance. Wisdom and ignorance are not two different things; they are essentially the same, opposite polarities of the same underlying principle. The state that transcends both wisdom and ignorance is Divinity, Paratatva. This Shivarathri is a day when one tries to establish friendship between mind and God. Shivarathri reminds everyone of the fact that Divinity is all-pervasive and is to be found everywhere. It is said that Shiva lives in Kailasa. But where is Kailasa? Kailasa is our own mind full of joy and bliss. It means that when you develop purity, steadiness and sacredness from within, your heart becomes filled with peace and bliss, and ultimately your heart itself is Kailasa.

” God is Busy… So HE Sent me…” !!!

If you don’t know GOD, don’t make stupid remarks!
A young Canadian paratrooper was taking some college

courses between assignments. He had completed 3 tours of duty in Afghanistan. One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed

atheist and a member of the Canadian Civil Liberties

Association (CCLA).

One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated,
GOD, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform…I’ll give you exactly 15 min.”

The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop.

Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed,
“Here I am GOD, I am still waiting.”
It got down to the last couple of minutes when the soldier

got out of his chair, went up to the professor,

and cold-cocked him; knocking him clean off the platform.

The professor was down & out cold.
The young soldier went back to his seat and sat there, silently. The other students were shocked and stunned, and

sat there looking on in silence.

The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken,

looked at the soldier and asked,

“What in the world is the matter with you? Why did you do that?”

The young soldier stood up and calmly replied,
“GOD was too busy today protecting soldiers, who are protecting your right

to say stupid shit and act like an idiot. So He sent me.”

Jokes For the Weekend…!!!

“Simon, if I had eight apples in my right hand and ten apples in my left hand, what would I have?”

“Huge hands, sir.”

………………………….

Bob’s a factory worker, and one day, the boss is showing a bunch of Japanese investors around the factory. One of them sees Bob, and they promptly exchange handshakes and start talking like long lost friends. Afterwards, Bob’s boss asks him what that was about. Bob just replies ‘oh, I know him from a few years back, I actually know a lot of important people.’

His boss is sceptic, but Bob replies: ‘Tell you what, name anyone you can think off, I bet you that they know me.’ ‘Fine,’ says his boss, and he’s determined to have Bob be embarrassed, so he decides to put the bar high: ‘President Obama.’ ‘Cool, no problem,’ says Bob.

A week later they’re both standing outside the White House, and Obama comes out, spots Bob and goes “Bob? What are you doing here? Come in, bring your friend, let’s have a drink together.” Bobs boss has no clue how, but somehow Bob and the president are friends. Once they leave his boss goes ‘Fine, you know the president, but I bet you don’t know the pope’.

Bob accepts the challenge, and the next week they’re standing in Saint Peters square. ‘This isn’t gonna work, he’s never going to see me here when there’s this much people. You stay here, I’ll go talk to him and you’ll see me on the balcony, the guards know me too.’ Half an hour later, Bob and the pope appear side by side on the balcony. Bobs boss gets a heart attack, and Bob goes to visit him in the hospital.

‘What happened? Did you not expect me to actually know the pope?’ ‘No, it wasn’t that, I sort of expected that to happen. But there was a tourist next to me that asked ‘Who’s the guy in his pajamas standing next to Bob there?’

” Offer Archana To SriKrishna Reciting SriKrishna Ashthothram …”

Source: Moments of a lifetime
Dr.R.Balakrishnan Nair, Nephrologist, S.K.S. Hospitals, Salem

This person is a doctor practicing at Salem. He had his medical studies in England and in the thirst of having a religious and spiritual life, he returned to India. He is highly devoted to Sri Guruvayurappan. His bhakti has been further strengthened with his constant devotion to Sri Krishna Premi Swamiji. He has been doing Srimad Bhagavata Parayanam daily.

Early one morning, when the doctor was fast asleep, he had a dream in which Sri Mahaperiyaval appeared, and asked the doctor to offer ‘archana’ to Sri Krishna, reciting Sri Krishna Ashtothram. The doctor and his wife searched for the book. Unable to locate the book, in some days, they forgot the matter.

Again in the early hours, in his deep sleep, the doctor had a dream of Sri Mahaperiyaval, who reminded him about the Sri Krishna Ashtothram. The doctor replied that he could not find the book although he remembered to have bought it a few years ago. Sri Acharyal told the doctor that a book titled ‘Bruhatstotra Ratnakaram’ was on top of the refrigerator, in their house in Salem. The ‘Sri Krishna Ashtothram’ could be found in it.

Immediately cutting short their planned stay at Alleppy, they returned to Salem to find the “Sri Krishna Ashtothram” book exactly on top of the fridge in their house. From that day onwards, the doctor has been offering tulasi archana to Sri Guruvaayurappan, while reciting Sri Krishna Ashtothram. The first archana is being offered to Sri Mahaperiyaval.

Message For the Day…” By Conscious Efforts Habits can be Changed and Character Refined …”

No person or wickedness in this planet is incorrigible. Wasn’t Angulimala, the robber, turned into a kindhearted person by Lord Buddha? Wasn’t thief Ratnakara transformed to Sage Valmiki? By conscious effort, habits can be changed and character refined. People always have within them, within their reach, the capacity to challenge their evil propensities and to change their evil habits. By selfless service, renunciation, devotion, prayer, and regulation of conduct, the old habits that bind people to earth can be discarded and new habits that take them along the divine path can be instilled into their lives. The purpose of all spiritual literature, poems, epics and books is to discuss the nature of mind, its ways and vagaries, and to inform about the process of reshaping it. Please realize that the mere reading of a book will not vouchsafe discrimination. That which is seen, heard, or read must be put into practice in actual life.

2000 Year Old Rice Terrace of Philippines…

Philippine Rice Terraces Why Reflection

For at least two millennia, the Ifugao people have sculpted the sides of mountains into useable farmland. Located in the heart of the Cordillera mountain range in the northern Philippines, these rice terraces rise like wide, monumental staircases. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) added these feats of ancient engineering to its list of World Heritage Sites in 1995. According to UNESCO, the Philippine rice terraces “create a landscape of great beauty that expresses the harmony between humankind and the environment.”

The terraces, however, also epitomize the story of how modern tensions are putting a strain on that “harmony” worldwide. Yes, natural disasters and the perennial typhoons that lash the Philippines threaten the preservation of the Cordillera rice terraces. But the biggest pressure they face is a shift in human society. As the UNESCO advisory body has written, “the terraced landscape is highly vulnerable because the social equilibrium that existed in the rice terraces for the past two millennia has become profoundly threatened by technological and evolutionary changes.”

Young Ifugao are migrating to the cities where they can find higher paying, less backbreaking work. At the same, the once remote region is becoming more interconnected through large investments in infrastructure. In the next two years, the Philippine government plans to spend around $25 million in road construction and improvement in the Cordillera region.

One goal for the road project is to attract more tourists to the area and thereby bring more money to the regional economy. In 2013, according to Philippine government statistics, 1.1 million people visited the rice terraces. In the future, the government hopes to attract 10 million tourists annually. It is unclear whether this aspiration is misguided, since the arrival of foreign tourists can dramatically change the nature of a place. But Philippine officials are hoping tourism will also provide livelihoods to those Ifugao who otherwise might leave the boondocks for the cities.

Filipinos call the Cordillera rice terraces the Eighth Wonder of the World. UNESCO calls them “the priceless contribution of Philippine ancestors to humanity.” As shown in the expansive gallery below, this region of the Philippines has some of the most beautiful vistas on earth. This piece of humanity’s common heritage deserves to be preserved for generations to come.

Message For the Day…” Our Body is like a iron Safe to Protect Virtues like Knowledge and Bliss..”

To be able to experience the aspects of knowledge and bliss, we should protect our body, mind and life. Consider this example: We store valuable jewels and gems in our homes, in a relatively cheap iron safe to protect them. The steel almirah or an iron safe has no value compared to the jewels, but they are good enough to protect them. So too, our body is like the valueless iron safe. In this valueless, perishable body, God has kept for protection, very valuable things like knowledge and bliss. We all understand that valuable jewels cannot be protected by a valuable gold box, as the box itself can be stolen with the jewels in no time. Hence it is natural to protect valuable things in a valueless box which will not attract attention. Therefore, to reach the realm of knowledge, bliss and happiness it is necessary to look after the well-being of the outer casing namely, body, mind and life.
