Message For the Day….” Do you Remember all the kith and kin from Your Previous Lives …” ?

Your love for God should be firm and unchanging, unaffected by trials and tribulations and the vicissitudes of life. Pandavas are supreme examples of unwavering love for Krishna. When Draupadi was being humiliated in Duryodhana’s assembly hall, when Abhimanyu was attacked and slain by the Kauravas, when Aswathama massacred the Upa-pandavas (Pandavas’ children), or when they performed the glorious Rajasuya sacrifice at the height of their power, or when they were in exile in the forest, without succumbing to the difficulties and troubles they were subjected to, they adhered firmly to the name of Krishna, with unwavering faith in Him. They relied only on Krishna’s love. Difficulties and troubles are passing clouds which come and go. Do you remember all the kith and kin from your previous lives? The only relationship that remains unchanged is the one with God. Attach yourself to Him.

படித்ததில் பிடித்தது …” நல்லதே செய் …அதுவும் இன்றே செய் …” !!!

‘நல்லதை இன்றே, இப்போதே செய்ய வேண்டும்; கெட்டதை தள்ளிப் போட வேண்டும்’ என்று பல்வேறு கதைகளின் மூலம் வலியுறுத்தியுள்ளனர் நம் முன்னோர். இதற்கு உதாரணமாக, பழந்தமிழ் நுாலில் உள்ள கதை இது:
ஒரு நாள், கர்ணன் எண்ணெய் தேய்த்து குளிப்பதற்காக, தங்க கிண்ணத்தில் இருந்த எண்ணெயை இடது கையால், வலக்கையில் ஊற்றி, உடம்பெங்கும் தேய்த்தபடி இருந்தான்.
அச்சமயத்தில், அந்தணர் ஒருவர், கர்ணனிடம் தானம் வாங்க வந்தார். அவர் யாசகம் கேட்ட மறுவினாடியே, இடது கையில் இருந்த தங்க கிண்ணத்தை, அப்படியே இடது கையாலேயே அந்தணருக்கு கொடுத்தான் கர்ணன்.
அதை வாங்கிய அந்தணர், ‘கர்ணா… இடக் கையால் தானம் அளிக்கக் கூடாது என்பது உனக்கு நன்றாகத் தெரிந்திருந்தும், ஏன் இடது கையால் கொடுத்தாய்…’ எனக் கேட்டார்.
அதற்கு கர்ணன், ‘ஐயா… இடக் கையில் இருக்கும் கிண்ணத்தை, வலது கைக்கு மாற்றுவதற்குள், என் மனசு மாறி விட்டால் என்ன செய்வது? அது மட்டுல்ல, அந்த சிறிதளவு நேரம் கூட நீங்கள் காத்திருக்கக் கூடாது என்பதற்காகவே, அப்படிச் செய்தேன்.
‘மானிட வாழ்வு நிலையில்லாதது; நீர்க்குமிழி போல நொடியில் போய்விடும். இடக்கையில் இருந்து, வலக்கைக்கு மாற்றுவதற்குள், என் உயிர் போய் விட்டால், உங்களுக்கு கொடுக்காத பாவம் என்னை வந்து சேருமல்லவா… அதனால் தான் இடது கையாலேயே கொடுத்தேன்…’ என்றான் கர்ணன்.
ஏழை மறையோர்க்கு இடக் கையாலே எண்ணெய்க் கிண்ணம் ஈந்தான் அன்றோ என, இத்தகவலைச் சொல்லும், ‘ஜெயங்கொண்டார் வழக்கம்’ எனும் பழங்கால நூல், நாளை என்பார் கொடை தனக்குசடுதியிலே இல்லை என்றால் நலமதாமே என்றும் கூறுகிறது.
அதாவது, உதவி கேட்டு வருபவர்களை, ‘நாளை வா…’ என்று சொல்லி இழுத்தடிப்பதை விட, இன்றே இல்லை என்று சொல்லிவிடுவது நல்லது என்றும் கூறுகிறது.
ஆகையால், நல்லதைச் செய்வதும், அதை உடனடியாக செய்வதும் நன்மை தரும்.

Message For the Day…” What You Should Pray and Seek from God …” ?

You should not pray to God seeking this favour or that. The reason is no one knows what immensely precious, Divine and magnificent treasures lie in the treasure-house of Divine Grace. You can never know what God intends or desires to give you, His devotee. Under such situations by asking for trivial and petty things, you are demeaning His Divine estate. Hence do not seek from God, nor desire, nor pray for petty trinkets. More precious and desirable than anything else is God’s love. Hence Mother Meera sang: “Oh heart, drink the nectar of Divine love.” If you must ask for anything from God, then pray to Him thus: “O Lord! Let me have You alone.” Once you have secured the Lord, you can get anything you want. When you can get the precious Divine love, why crave for anything else?

Message For the Day…” God Maintains balance in dealing with His Devotees…”

In dealing with devotees, the Lord has to maintain a balance. Here is an example from the life of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. In olden times or the present, there are always some people who indulge in calumny against good men. Once, two of his disciples experienced some villagers abusing the noble sage in two different incidents. In response, Brahmananda, a young gentle devotee, shed tears. Vivekananda retorted and threatened the villagers. Sage Ramakrishna disagreed with both their actions! Explaining, he taught, “There are four tyres for a car. The pressure in the front tyre and rear tyres must be as prescribed. If there is excessive pressure in some tyres, it should be reduced. If some tyres have low pressure, they have to be inflated. Only then the car will run smoothly. Vivekananda suffers from excessive pressure; he requires to be deflated. Brahmananda is too weak, so he has to be inflated.”

Message For the day…” Arise and Awaken yourself Here and Now…”

As long as you have worldly desires in view, you cannot escape sorrow. Joy and peace are not present in external objects; they are within you. But in your foolishness, you search for them outside yourself in the external world. For sure, you are bound to depart from this ephemeral world – perhaps today or tomorrow. Therefore realising its impermanence, try to know the essence of the eternal Truth. Try to experience the love that is God (Paramatma) itself. Discriminate at every turn, accepting what is true and discarding the rest. Anyone and everyone can easily grasp the relationship you (jiva) have with your Creator, if you acquire these three chief instruments – (1) a mind unsullied by attachment and hatred (2) speech unsullied by falsehood and (3) a body unsullied by violence. Arise and awaken yourself, here and now!

Message For the Day…” Hatred Towards anyone is Hatred For God…”

The Divine has comes as Avatar only to teach mankind the truth about love. Love alone is the fruit of love. True Love has no trace of self-interest and knows no fear. The world displays the diversity that has emanated from the One. The Divine demonstrates the unity that subsumes the diversity. Recognition of this ‘Unity in Diversity’ can be learnt only from the Divine. Wherever you go, whatever you do or see, cultivate the sacred feeling that you will do only those actions which pleases God. The Gita has declared: Bear no ill-will towards any living being(Adveshtaa Sarva Bhoothaanaam). Hatred towards anyone is hatred for God. The scriptures have also clearly declared: The salutation that you offer to anyone reaches the Divine. When you fill your hearts with love, you will have no hatred towards anyone. Cultivate the faith that the Divine is in everyone and surrender unto Him in a spirit of true dedication.

” பூமி பூஜை செய்த புண்ணியம் …”

ஒரு முறை ஒரு கோடீஸ்வரர் குடும்பத்தோடு வந்து காஞ்சியில் மஹா சுவாமியை வணங்கிவிட்டு , தங்கள் குறைகள் நீங்கிட வழி கூறுமாறு வேண்டினர். சில நிமிட மௌனத்திற்குப் பின் ஆச்சாரியார்

“அன்றாடமும் அதிகாலையில் வாசலில் நீர் தெளித்து கோலமிடுவது உண்டா ”

என்று கேட்டார்.

பணக்காரக் குடும்பத்தினருக்கு, ஒரு நொடி ‘சப்’பென்று போய்விட்டது. தங்களின் செல்வத்திற்கு மதிப்பு அளித்து,

‘ஒரு கோயிலுக்கு குடமுழுக்கு செய்’ , ‘ஆயிரக்கனக்கானவர்க்கு அன்னதானம் செய்’

என்று பெரிய அளவில் தான் எதாவது கூறுவார் என்று நினைத்திருந்தனர். இருந்தாலும் ஒருவாறு சமாளித்துக் கொண்டு, ‘செய்யப்படுகிறது’ என்றனர்.

ஆச்சரியார் அதோடு விடுவதாக இல்லை.
‘யாரால் செய்யப்படுகிறது?’ என்று வினவினார்.

இது கூடத் தெரியவில்லையா? என்ற தொனியில் ‘வேலைக்காரிதான்’ என்றாள் தனவானின் மனைவி.

மஹா ஸ்வாமிகள் பொறுமை இழக்கவில்லை. , நிதானமாக, “பூமி பூஜை செய்த புண்ணியம் வேலைக்காரியை அடைந்துவிட்டது!” என்றார்.

அவ்வளவு தான் . . . அடுத்த நொடி குடும்பமே சாஷ்டாங்கமாக பணிந்துவிட்டது.

தாய்க்குலம் குழந்தைகளை மட்டுமே அதுவும், பத்து மாதம் மட்டுமே சுமக்கிறது. பூமித் தாயோ எல்லாவற்றையும் எப்போதும் தாங்கிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறாள்.

எனவே நாம் அனைவரும் நம் குடும்பம் சிறக்க பூமி பூஜையை தினமும் நாமே செய்வோமே…

Message For the Day….” Help Ever…Hurt Never…”

There is no need for a new religion or a new culture or a new philosophy, what is needed is only a pure heart. You should not give room for impurity or pollution in the heart. You can make your life sacred by following the golden rule: ‘Help ever; hurt never.’ Speak softly, sweetly and truthfully. There are two eyes to see different things, two ears to hear good and bad, there are two hands to do good and bad, but there is only one tongue to speak only the Truth. Embodiments of Divine Atma! Spend your life in cherishing sacred thoughts, listening to good things, speaking good words, and doing good deeds. If all of you adopt this path, happiness and prosperity will reign in the world.

Message For the Day…” What is Divine Life …How to Reach that Level …”

Sorrow springs from egoism, the feeling that you do not deserve to be treated so badly, and that you are left helpless. When egoism goes, sorrow disappears. Ignorance is just a mistake, a mistaken identity of the body as the Self! In fact, you must each one try to become ego-less, then the Lord will accept you as His very own flute. I encourage you to become His flute (the Murali), for then the Lord will come to you, pick you up, put you to His lips and breathe through you and, out of the hollowness of your heart due to the utter absence of egoism that you have developed, He will create captivating music for all of Creation to enjoy. Be straight without any will of your own, merge your will in the Will of God. Inhale only the breath of God. That is Divine Life! That is what I want you all to aspire and achieve.

ஏப்., 14 தமிழ் புத்தாண்டு

தமிழ் புத்தாண்டு அன்று, ஆறுகளில் நீராடினால் பாவம் நீங்கும் என்பர் முன்னோர். புனித தீர்த்தங்களில் நீராடினால் பாவம் நீங்கும் என்றாலும், சிலர், இந்நதிகளில் நீராடி, ஊருக்கு திரும்பியதும், மீண்டும் பாவச் செயல்களை செய்ய ஆரம்பித்து விடுகின்றனர். இவர்களுக்காகவே சொல்லப்பட்ட புராணக்கதை இது:
கங்கையில் நீராட, மகான் ஒருவர் வந்தார். கெட்டவர்கள் மட்டுமே நீராடி, பாவங்களைக் கரைத்து விட்டு போகும் நிலையில், நல்லவர் ஒருவர் தன்னில் நீராட வருகிறாரே என, கங்கா மாதா பெரும் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைந்தாள்.
அவர் தன்னில் கால் வைக்கப் போகிறார் என, அவள் எதிர்பார்த்திருந்த வேளையில், கங்கையை அடைந்த முனிவரின் முகம், அஷ்ட கோணலாக மாறியது. காரணம், சிறிது தொலைவில், கங்கையில் சாக்கடை கலந்து கொண்டிருந்தது. இதனால், குளிக்காமல் கிளம்பினார் முனிவர்.
இதைக் கண்ட கங்கை, ஒரு சாதாரணப் பெண்ணாக வடிவெடுத்து, ‘மகானே… ஏன் கங்கையில் குளிக்காமல் செல்கிறீர்?’ என்று கேட்டாள்.
முனிவர் சாக்கடையை கை காட்ட, ‘ஐயனே… மக்களின் பாவக் கரைசலை விட, இந்த கழிவுநீர் பெரிய விஷயமே அல்ல. கங்கை பாவங்களை மட்டுமல்ல, இந்த சாக்கடையையும் தன்னுள் வைப்பதில்லை; அதைக் கடலில் தள்ளி விடுகிறாள்…’ என்றாள்.
உடனே, கடலரசனிடம் சென்று, இது குறித்து விசாரித்தார் முனிவர். அவனோ, ‘பாவங்களை நான் வைத்துக் கொள்ள மாட்டேன்; அது, சூரியனால் மேலே எடுத்துச் செல்லப்பட்டு விடும்…’ என்றான்.
முனிவர், சூரியனிடம் கேட்டபோது, ‘அதை, மேகங்களிடம் அனுப்பி விடுகிறேனே… அவற்றைக் கேளுங்கள்…’ என, தப்பித்துக் கொண்டார்.
முனிவரும் விடாப்பிடியாக மேக மண்டலத்திடம் விசாரித்தபோது, ‘மகானே… மக்களின் பாவங்கள் மீண்டும் அவர்களையே அடையும் வகையில், மழையாகப் பொழிந்து விடுவேன். பாவத்தை செய்த மக்கள், அதையே மீண்டும் அனுபவிக்கின்றனர்…’ என்றது!
இக்கதை உணர்த்தும் உண்மையை புரிந்து கொண்டால், ஆறுகளை அசுத்தப்படுத்த மாட்டோம்.
தமிழ் புத்தாண்டாகட்டும், இதர விழாக்கள் ஆகட்டும், புனித தீர்த்தங்களில் நீராடச் செல்லும் போது, மனதில் நல்ல எண்ணங்கள் நிறைந்திருக்க வேண்டும். ‘இந்த தீர்த்தத்தில் மூழ்கும் நான், இனி, பாவச் செயல்களை செய்ய மாட்டேன்…’ என, உறுதியெடுக்க வேண்டும். இல்லாவிட்டால், நாம் செய்த பாவங்கள், நம்மையே திரும்ப வந்தடையும்.
இன்று, நாட்டில் உள்ள அனைத்து புனித தீர்த்தங்களும் பாழாக்கப்பட்டு வருகின்றன. கங்கையை சுத்தம் செய்ய, பல கோடி ரூபாய் தேவைப்படுகிறது. காவிரி, தாமிரபரணி, குற்றாலம் போன்ற புனித நதிகளும், கேளிக்கை பொருட்களாக மாறி விட்டன. நீர்நிலைகளை சுற்றுலா கண்ணோட்டத்தில் பார்க்கின்றனரே தவிர, எதிர்காலத்தில் குடிநீருக்கும், விளைச்சலுக்கும் பயன்படும் இடமாயிற்றே என்ற எண்ணம் இல்லாமல் போய் விட்டது.
புதிய ஆண்டிலாவது, நீர்நிலைகளைக் காக்க உறுதியெடுப்போம். இதை, ஒரு இயக்கமாக மாற்றி விட்டால், எல்லாரும் வளமாக வாழலாம்.
