“Men May Come and Men May Go”..But Credit Card Billing Goes on Forever!!!

Cancel your credit card before you die……… (hilarious! ).. Because ,you can not rule out the possibility of such response from today”s  Customer service call centers of  Banks !!!!!

Be sure and cancel your credit cards before you die.

This is so priceless, and so, so easy to see happening, customer service being what it is today.

A lady died this past January, and  the Bank billed her for February and March for their annual service charges on her credit card, and added late fees and interest on the monthly charge. The balance had been Rs.0.00 when she died, but now somewhere around Rs.6000.00. A family member placed a call to  Bank.

Here is the exchange :

Family Member: ‘I am calling to tell you she died back in January.’

Bank: ‘The account was never closed and the late fees and charges still apply.’

Family Member: ‘Maybe, you should turn it over to collections. ‘

Bank: ‘Since it is two months past due, it already has been.’

Family Member: So, what will they do when they find out she is dead?’

Bank: ‘Either report her account to frauds division or report her to the credit bureau, maybe both!’

Family Member: ‘Do you think God will be mad at her?

Bank:   Excuse Me …

Family Member: ‘Did you just get what I was telling you – the part about her being dead?’

Bank: ‘Sir, you’ll have to speak to my supervisor.’

Supervisor gets on the phone:

Family Member: ‘I’m calling to tell you, she died back in January with a Rs.0 balance.’

Bank: ‘The account was never closed and late fees and charges still apply.’

Family Member: ‘You mean you want to collect from her estate?’

Bank: (Stammer) ‘Are you her lawyer?’

Family Member: ‘No, I’m her great nephew.’ (Lawyer info was given)

Bank: ‘Could you fax us a certificate of death?’

Family Member: ‘Sure.’ (Fax number was given )

After they got the fax :

Bank: ‘Our system just isn’t setup for death. I don’t know what more I can do to help.’

Family Member: ‘Well, if you figure it out, great! If not, you could just keep billing her. She won’t care.’  Bank: ‘Well, the late fees and charges will still apply.’

(What is wrong with these people?!?)

Family Member: ‘Would you like her new billing address?’

Bank: ‘That might help…’

Family Member: Odessa Memorial Cemetery , Avinashi, Coimbatore

Bank: ‘Sir, that’s a cemetery!’
Family Member: ‘And what do you do with dead people on your planet???’

Message For The Day….Consider Your Parents as God ….

Though you cannot see Rama or Krishna, you worship them because you believe in scriptures and elders have taught you so. But how is it that you are forgetting your parents, who are responsible for your progress in life? First and foremost, you should show gratitude to your parents, love them, and respect them. Your blood, your food, your head, and your money – all these are gifts of your parents. You do not receive these gifts directly from God. Young children understand the meanings of the word apple or dog only by seeing their pictures. Similarly, it is only after seeing the parents that one can understand the existence of God. All that is related to God is only indirect experience. It is only the parents whom you can see and whose love you can feel. So consider your parents as God. God will be pleased and will manifest before you only when you love and respect your parents.

Statue of Liberty….An Inseparable Part of American identity !!!!

The Story of the Statue of Liberty…
To the few who may not know this, the Statue of Liberty is a colossal neoclassical sculpture on Liberty Island in New York Harbor. The statue, a gift to the United States from the people of France, is of a robed female figure representing Libertas, the Roman goddess of freedom, who bears a torch and a tabula ansata (a tablet evoking the law) upon which is inscribed the date of the American Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776.

This statue has been an inseparable part of the American identity and a symbol of justice and freedom throughout the world

“Lisha.”….A Surrogate Mom !!!!

Lisha with white tiger cubs

Lisha, a Labrador, is world famous for her mothering skills even though she’s never birthed any pups of her own. The dog, who lives at Oudtshoorn’s Cango Wildlife Ranch in South Africa, has played surrogate mom to more than 30 animals, including cheetah and tiger cubs, potbelly pigs, a porcupine, a pygmy hippo, a weasel and a barn owl.
Rob Hall, director of the wildlife refuge, says that Lisha domesticates the wild animals and serves as a bridge between them and humans. “They adjust more easily to her, and when they see that she trusts us, they are more at ease around us,” he said.
Hall and his wife, Nadine, said they noticed early on that regardless of the whether Lisha encountered a kitten or a baby hippo, she treated them all the same — like a child that needed a mother. “She would just walk up and lick the creature she was caring for. Although in the case of the porcupine that was more amusing,” Rob Hall told The Daily Mail.

Message For The Day…God Gives What You Want !!!

You must pay attention to the small details in your daily life, for devotion (bhakthi) is not just a pose one strikes. It is a series of little acts, directed by the attitude of reverence for Divinity in all beings. Watch for the lie that lurks on the tongue, the violence that lurks behind your fist, the ego that lurks stealthily behind a deed. Restrain them before they grow into habits and settle down as character to thwart your destiny. God is like a shopkeeper who has a store full of all the things that you need in your life. If you, as customer, go to the shop and ask for a towel, can the shopkeeper hand out a shirt? God is like that, He hands out exactly what you ask for. Material things are not at all important. Discriminate and ask God for Devotion (Bhakthi) and Spiritual Wisdom (Jnana).
