Message for the Day…What is Divine Love ?

True and Selfless Love manifests as sacrifice. Such love knows no hatred. It envelops the entire universe, and is capable of drawing near even those who are seemingly far away. In the phenomenal world, you come across many shades and derivatives of this primordial love. You love your father, mother, brother, sister, spouse, friends and others. In all such cases, there is always a tinge of selfishness somewhere or the other. Divine love, on the other hand, is totally free of even the slightest trace of selfishness. You must surrender to such love, become completely submerged by it, and experience the bliss it confers. True and Selfless Love manifests itself as sacrifice. For acquiring Divine love, the quality of Kshama(forbearance and patience) is a vital necessity. Every individual must cultivate this noble quality.

Polar Eclipse With a Lonely Bear !!!

With the full moon looming behind him, this polar bear nestles down for the night.

Snuggling up on top of a rocky hill, he lies comfortably as he puts his head down at the end of a long day.

Italian Marco Gaiotti, 30, took these photographs of this sleepy polar bear in Northern Svalbard Archipelago, Norway, during a beautiful full moon at sunset.

‘I desperately wanted to take a picture of a polar bear with the full moon behind it,’ says Marco, of Genova.

Strange … But True.. Amazing Hand Drawing ” Maze” !!!

Over 30 years ago, a man spent 7 years hand-drawing the most complex, unbelievable and probably unsolvable maze I’ve ever seen. His daughter recently posted the following photos on Twitter and, needless to say, the entire Internet is exploding with questions about her dad.

So who is the man behind it? A professor? A mathematician? A wizard? No, no, and no. The correct answer is… the university janitor.

Art connoisseurs are going crazy over this, both for its artistic brilliance and its impossibility to solve. To think a university janitor was behind this shows that we should never judge anyone by their occupation or position in life. This is awesome work.

To date, no additional information has been shared about the maze or the man behind it. But it’s without a doubt one of the most humble, remarkable creations I’ve ever seen.

Swimming Elephant and its Mahout… A Stunning Picture !!!

Mahout Nasru sits on tusks of swimminh elephant Rajan

Fifty eight year old mahout Nasru sits on the tusks of his 60 year old elephant Rajan

It was taken in the Andaman Islands, a remote archipelago in the Bay of Bengal, where Rajan, a 60-year-old elephant, lives.

The six-ton elephant learnt to swim 40 years ago to help work for logging companies there.

For years the elephant felled trees with Nasru, his 58-year-old driver.

But in 2002 logging was banned in the islands and most of the 200 elephants were sent back to the Indian mainland.

However, Rajan was kept on by a wealthy owner who had no desire to see him leave Havelock Island, and enjoyed a blissful existence eating bananas and swimming in the crystal clear water.

Two years ago a Kerala temple offered £40,000 for the elephant and Rajan almost had to leave, before a tourist lodge launched a campaign to raise the funds to keep him. Since then Rajan and Nasru have become something of an attraction.

The photograph, taken by Italy-based Cesare Naldi, won first prize in the National Geographic International Photography contest last December.

Naldi told National Geographic: “When I was in the water with Rajan, I was really surprised by how fast he could move his legs to swim. Most of the time he had his head under the water and used his long nose to breathe, like a submarine uses its periscope.”

” Is There any Doctor onboard ?…And Does Anyone Know How to Fly a Plane ? ” …

Passengers heard not one but two chilling announcements on a recent United Airlines flight from Des Moines to Denver, after their pilot suffered a heart attack at 30,000 feet.

Quick-thinking nurse Linda Alweiss, from Camarillo, California, rushed to respond when crew asked over the loud speaker if any passengers had medical training.

But as she was administering aid to the ‘mumbling and incoherent’ pilot, another, distinctly more terrifying plea was heard: ‘Does anyone in the cabin have flight experience?’

Thankfully, the co-pilot managed to safely land the plane at an airport in Omaha, but not before the unusual request thoroughly frightened all on board.

The drama began about 20 minutes into the December 30 flight.

Mrs Alweiss was flying home via Denver with her husband and 16-year-old daughter from a Christmas vacation. When the first announcement was made the registered nurse with decades of experience was first to respond.

She said she found the pilot slumped over in the cockpit.

‘He was sick and mumbling and was just incoherent,’ she told KTLA.

The pediatric intensive care nurse, who only recently re-certified her advanced cardiac life support accreditation, noticed his heart was beating irregularly and determined he’d probably suffered a blood clot or a heart-attack.

Another nurse, Amy Sorenson, of Wyoming, also volunteered to assist and the pair, with the help of other passengers, pulled the captain out of the cockpit and into the galley so they had more room to work.

The nurses set up a diagnostic defibrillator and administered an IV.

After the co-pilot took control of the airplane, Mrs Alweiss said she turned to the woman and asked, ‘You know how to land the plane, right?’ And she said ‘yes.’

‘I felt immediately comfortable. That was just one thing I didn’t have to think about, so I could focus more on what was going on with the patient,’ Mrs Alweiss recounted to KTLA.

But a second announcement was made, asking if there were any pilots in the cabin.

‘That kind of changed the story a little bit,’ Mrs Alweiss’ husband, Alan, explained with a laugh.

The co-pilot managed to land the plane without trouble and paramedics were waiting to treat the pilot on the tarmac.

‘United flight 1637, a Boeing 737 operating between Des Moines and Denver Monday evening, landed safely in Omaha after the captain became ill,’ the airline said in a statement. ‘United accommodated the customers overnight, and they continued to Denver the next day.’

On the rescheduled flight the following day, Mrs Alweiss sat next to the co-pilot who informed her the pilot had survived and was being treated in the cardiac unit of an Omaha hospital.

‘She did her job,’ Mr Alweiss proudly told KTLV of his wife.

‘She jumped at the opportunity, didn’t hesitate. And she did it at 30,000 feet, knowing that the person who was supposed to be flying the plane was her patient.’

Message for the Day…”Appreciate the Bounty and Beauty of Nature … “

Spend your time in the contemplation of the bounty and beauty of Nature spread out before you on earth and sky – green expanses of the crops, cool breezes that waft contentment and joy, the panorama of coloured clouds, the music of the birds and so on. Sing the glory of the Lord as you walk along the path, amidst the fields, the banks and the waterways. Do not talk hatefully in the midst of all this evidence of love; do not get angry, in these placid surroundings; do not disturb the sky with your shouts and curses. Do not pollute the air with vengeful boasts. A seedling needs water and manure to grow and yield rich harvest. The tiny sapling of spiritual yearning for liberation also needs you to do these – set right your habits, purify your conduct and cleanse your behaviour.
