” இன்று குழந்தைகளுக்கு வாழைப்பழம் கொடுக்க வேண்டாம் ” !!! ஏன் ?

ஸந்நிதிக்கு வரும் குழந்தைகளுக்கு வாழைப்பழமோ கற்கண்டோ ஸ்ரீபெரியவாள் தவறாமல் வழங்குவார். தாமே நேராகக் கொடுப்பதுண்டு; அணுக்கத் தொண்டர்களைக் கொண்டு கொடுப்பதுமுண்டு.

விடுமுறை நாள்களில் பள்ளி ஆசிரியர்கள் பஸ் அமர்த்திக்கொண்டு பசங்களுடன் வருவது வழக்கம். அதனால் அந்நாள்களில் பணியாளர்கள் முன்னதாகவே வாழைப்பழமும் கற்கண்டும் நிறைய எடுத்து வைத்து விடுவார்கள்.

ஒரு விடுமுறை தினத்தன்று பெரியவாள் “இன்னிக்குக் கொழந்தைகளுக்கு வாழைப்பழம், கல்கண்டு குடுக்க வேண்டாம்” என்றார். ஏன் அப்படிச் சொன்னாரென்று புரியவில்லை.

தப தப என்று ஒரு பஸ்-லோட் பள்ளிச் சிறுவர்கள் ஆசிரியர்களுடன் வந்து விட்டனர். தம்மைக் காண வந்த சிட்டுக்களுக்கு ஒன்றும் தராமலா இந்த மா மதுர மஹா தாத்தா திருப்பி அனுப்பி வைப்பார் என்று பணியாளர் எண்ணினார்.

சரியாக அதே சமயம் திருமாளம் பஞ்சாபகேச ஐயர் என்ற பக்தர் ஒரு மூட்டை ஸஹிதம் வந்தார். மூட்டையைப் பெரியவாளுக்கு ஸமர்ப்பித்து, “பெரிவா ப்ரயோஜனப் படுத்திக்கணும்” என்று விண்ணப்பித்துக் கொண்டார்.

மூட்டையிலிருந்து குண்டு மல்லிகைகள் போன்ற நெற்பொரி. பெரியவாள் திருவமுது செய்து வந்தது அதைத்தான். இதை நினைத்தே அவர் ‘ப்ரயோஜனப் படுத்தி’க் கொள்ளச் சொன்னது. ஆனால் பெரியவாளோ தம்முடைய பிக்ஷைக் காலம் வரை தள்ளிப்போடாமல் அப்போதே அதைப் பிரயோஜனப்படுத்திக் கொண்டு விட்டார்.

பணியாளரைப் பார்த்து, “தேவாளுக்குப் பொரி ரொம்ப இஷ்டம். தெரியுமோ? கல்யாணத்துலகூட லாஜ ஹோமம்னு பொரி ஹோமம் பண்றாளோன்னோ? இந்தக் கொழந்தைகள்ளாம் தேவாள்தான். இவாளுக்கு வெல்லச் சக்கரையும் கொஞ்சம் சேர்த்து பொரி நெறய்ய விநியோகம் பண்ணுங்கோ. ஒடம்புக்கும் ஹிதம். மனஸுக்கும் ஸத்வம். பொரி சாப்பிட்டா பாபம் போறதுன்னு சாஸ்த்ரம்” என்றார்.

அவ்வாறே சிறாருக்கு வெல்லச் சர்க்கரை சேர்த்த பொரி வழங்கப்பட்டது. ஆவலாக வாங்கிக் கொண்டனர்.

தலைமையாசிரியர் வியப்பில் ஏற்பட்ட மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் சொன்னார் : “பசங்களில் பல பேருக்கு மஞ்சட்காமாலையும், வயிற்றுப்போக்கும். வாழைப்பழம் கூடாதென்று டாக்டர் சொல்லியிருக்கிறார். ‘பெரியவர்களோ வாழைப்பழம் கொடுப்பதுதானே வழக்கம்? அப்படிக் கொடுத்தால் பிரஸாதத்தை என்ன செய்வது?’ என்று கவலைப்பட்டுக் கொண்டேதான் வந்தேன். பெரியவர்களுக்குத் தெரியாததா? அதுதான் நெற்பொரி கொடுத்து அநுக்கிரஹித்திருக்கிறார்”.

அந்த தீர்க்க திருஷ்டி இருக்கட்டும். அது எல்லா மஹான்களுக்குமே உண்டுதான். ஆனால் அந்தப் பள்ளிப் பாலர்களை தேவர்கள் என்றாரே! அந்த எளிமை அவரொருவருக்கே உரித்தானதல்லவா?

This is a very good exercise in intellectual development and in the acquisition of mental peace. The instinct to quarrel and fight over any and all misunderstandings must be regulated and sublimated. You should not cause children to suffer mental anguish or physical pain! Children also should not enjoy the infliction of pain on any being. They must be brought up with a sense of responsibility. They should be taught not to take delight in showing off their dress, ornaments, status or wealth before the less fortunate. They must be taught from early on, habits of personal cleanliness and most importantly, the habit of prayer at regular hours.

பார்த்தாலே நோயைப் பறக்கடிக்கும் விபூதி

ஆன்மீக மாத இதழ் ஞான ஆலயம் மார்ச் 2013 இல் வெளி வந்த சித்ரா மூர்த்தி அவர்கள் எழுதிய செந்தூர் விபூதியின் மகிமையைப் பற்றிய அருமையான கட்டுரையை உங்களுடன் பகிர்ந்து கொள்கிறேன். –

பிசாசஸ்ச சர்வே பவத் பத்ரபூதிம்

Senthil Andavar பொருள்:
“தாரகாசுரனை வதம் செய்தவனே! வலிப்பு, காசம், குஷ்டம், சுரம், மேகவெட்டை, குடல்புண், புற்றுநோய், பிசாசு மற்றும் மனப்பயம் எனும் நோய்களனைத்தும் பன்னீர் இலையில் வைத்துத் தரப்படும் உன் திருநீற்றைப் பார்த்த மாத்திரத்தில் பறந்தோடி மறைந்துவிடும்.”

ஆதி சங்கரர், திருச்செந்தூரில் பாடிய சுப்ரமண்ய புஜங்கத்தில் இவ்வாறு குறிப்பிடுகிறார். பார்த்த மாத்திரத்திலேயே நோய்களைப் பறக்கடிக்கும் என்று அவர் குறிப்பிடும் ‘பத்ர பூதி’ என்பது என்ன?

விபூதியின் வரலாறு
‘பத்ர’ என்பது இலை. பூதி என்பது நீறு. செந்திலாண்டவன் திருக்கோயிலில் இறைவனது பிரசாதமாகிய திருநீறு, பன்னீர் இலையில் வைத்துத் தரப்படுகிறது. இதன் மணமே தனித்தன்மை உடையதாக இருக்கும்.

இலையினால் விபூதியின் மணம் இன்னும் அதிகரிக்கிறதோ என்று கூடத் தோன்றுகிறது. என்னவானாலும் சரி, இலை விபூதியில் செந்திலாண்டவனின் அருள் மணம் வீசுகிறது என்பதுதான் நிஜம்.

இலை விபூதியின் வரலாறு, என்னவென்று பார்ப்போம். செந்தூரில் சூரபத்மாதியர்களை ஒடுக்கிவிட்டு கடற்கரையில் கலங்கரை விளக்கம் போன்று ஒளி வீசி நின்றான் முருகப் பெருமான். அவனது பெருமையைத் துதித்த வேதங்களனைத்தும் ஒன்று சேர்ந்து செந்திலோனின் மகிமையை விளக்கும் பன்னீர் மரங்களாக இவ்விடத்தில் தோன்றின.

எனவே இவற்றின் இலைகளும் வேத மந்திர சக்தியை உடையவை என்கிறது புராணம். பன்னீர் இலையில் பத்திரப்படுத்தப்படும் விபூதியிலும் வேத மந்திர சக்திகள் நிறைந்து விடுகின்றன.தவிர, பன்னீர் இலையில் காணப்படும் 12 நரம்புகள் முருகனது பன்னிரு கரங்களை நினைவூட்டுவனவாக அமைந்துள்ளன.

தாடகை எனும் பெண்ணை ராமபிரான் மூலமாக வதம் செய்த காரணத்தினால் தனக்கு ஏற்பட்ட குன்மம் முதலான நோய்கள் தீர, ராமபிரான் தன் கனவில் கூறியபடி, செந்திலாண்டவன் இலை விபூதியைத் தரித்துக் கொண்டு நோய்கள் நீங்கப் பெற்றார் விசுவாமித்திர மகரிஷி.

Adi Sankaraஆதி சங்கரரும் செந்திலாண்டவனின் நீறும்
ஆதி சங்கரரது வாழ்விலும் இலை விபூதி மகிமையை விளக்குவதான ஒரு சம்பவம் ஏற்பட்டது. அவருடன் ஏற்பட்ட வாதங்களில் தோற்ற அபிநவகுப்தர் என்பவர், ஆபிசார வேள்வி செய்து சங்கரருக்கு உடலை வருத்தும் நோய் உண்டாகச் செய்து விட்டார்.

அக்காலத்தில் அவர் வட கர்நாடகாவிலுள்ள கோகர்ணத் திருத்தலத்தில் தங்கி வழிபாடு செய்து வந்தார். ஒரு நாள் இரவு, இறைவன் அவர் கனவில் தோன்றி, “என் குமாரன் ஷண்முகன் குடியிருக்கும் புண்ணியத் தலமான செயந்திபுரம் எனும் திருச்செந்தூர் சென்று அவனைத் தரிசித்தால் உன் நோய் முற்றிலுமாக நீங்கப் பெறுவாய்” என்று கூறினார். உறங்கி எழுந்து பார்த்த சங்கரரின் அருகில் விபூதி இருந்தது.

கோகர்ணேஸ்வரர் ஆணைப்படி, செந்தூர் வந்தடைந்தார், ஆதிசங்கரர். கடலில் நீராடி, பின் இறைவன் சன்னதியில் மனமுருகி நின்றபோது, ஆதிசேஷனாகிய பாம்பு ஊர்ந்து ஊர்ந்து இறைவன் சன்னதியை அடைந்ததைக் கண்டார். அதே நேரம் அவருக்கும் இறை தரிசனம் கிட்டியது.

அவன் அருளாலே, மடை திறந்த வெள்ளம் போல அவர் திருவாயிலிருந்து சுலோகங்கள் வெளிவந்தன. வடமொழியில் பாம்பைப் புஜங்கம் என்பர். வடமொழி இலக்கணப்படி, புஜங்க விருத்தமாக அமைந்தன பாடல்கள். பாடி முடித்து இலை விபூதியைப் பெற்று அணிந்து கொண்ட சங்கரருக்கு வெகு விரைவில் நோய் குணமாயிற்று.

தெய்வ அவதாரமாகக் கருதப்படும் ஆதிசங்கரர் நினைத்திருந்தால், தானே நோயை விரட்டி இருக்க முடியும்.ஆனால் மானுட அவதாரத்தில், அத்துயரை, தானே அனுபவித்து உலகோருக்குப் பத்ர பூதியின் பெருமையை வெளிப்படுத்த அவர் நிகழ்த்திய திருவிளையாடலே இது என்று கூறலாம்.

விபூதியே கூலி
சுமார் 350 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன் திருவாவடுதுறை ஆதீனததைச் சேர்ந்த ஸ்ரீலஸ்ரீ தேசிகமூர்த்தி தம்பிரானவர்கள் செந்தூர் மேலக் கோபுரத்தை நிர்மாணித்தார். பொருள் பற்றாக் குறை ஏற்படவே, கூலியாட்களுக்குக் கூலிக்குப் பதிலாக இலை விபூதியைக் கொடுத்து, தூண்டுகை விநாயகர் கோயிலைத் தாண்டிச் சென்றபின் திறந்து பார்க்கும்படிக் கூறினாராம். அதன்படி திறந்து பார்த்தபோது, தத்தம் வேலைக்குரிய கூலி வைக்கப்பட்டிருப்பதைப் பார்த்து மெய் சிலிர்த்தனர் என்கிறது கோயில் வரலாறு.

திருச்செந்தூர் பிள்ளைத்தமிழ் பாடிய பகழிக் கூத்தர் வாழ்விலும் இலை விபூதி பெரும் அற்புதத்தை நிகழ்த்தியது. தீராத வயிற்று வலியால் துடித்த அவரது கனவில் கோயிலில் பூஜை செய்யும் உரிமையுடைய திரிசுதந்திரர் போல ஒருவர் தோன்றினார்.

“என் புகழைப் பிள்ளைத் தமிழால் பாடு, உன் நோய் குணமாகும்” என்று கூறி இலை விபூதியைக் கையில் கொடுத்திட்டு மறைந்தாராம். உரையாசிரியர் குகஸ்ரீ ரசபதி அவர்கள், திருச்செந்தூர் பிள்ளைத்தமிழ் உரையில் இதுபற்றி விரிவாகக் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.

கந்தர் கலி வெண்பா பாடிய குமரகுருபரரின் சரித்திரத்தை எழுதியருளிய வித்வான் மீனாட்சி சுந்தரம் பிள்ளை அவர்கள், செந்தூர் ஆலயத்தில் அர்ச்சகர்கள் இலை விபூதிப் பிரசாதத்தை எடுத்து வழங்குவதைக் குமரகுருபரர், தான் கண்டபடி அழகாகப் பாடியுள்ளார்.

“இலையமில் குமரவேள் முன் வணங்குவார்க்கு என்றும் துன்பம்
இலை.அடுபகை சற்றேனும் இலை.படுபிணி நிரப்பும்
இலை,அளற்றுழன்று வீழ்தல் இலை,பல பவத்துச் சார்பும்
இலை என இலை விபூதி எடுத்தெடுத்துதவல் கண்டார்”
என்று பாடுகிறார்.

விபூதியின் மகிமையைப் பாடவந்த அருணகிரிநாதரும்,
ஆறுமுகம் ஆறுமுகம் ஆறுமுகம்
ஆறுமுகம் ஆறுமுகம் ஆறுமுகம் என்றுபூதி
ஆகமணி மாதவர்கள் பாதமலர் சூடும் அடியார்கள்
பதமே துணையதென்று…”

என்று பாடுகிறார். நாமும் “ஆறுமுகம்” என்று ஆறு முறை ஓதி இலை விபூதியைத் தரித்து செந்திலாண்டவன் திருவருளுக்குப் பாத்திரமாவோமாக.

Two Amritsar-based families are all set to throw a lavish wedding party for their friends where their much-loved dogs will tie the nuptial knot.

R.K. Khosla of Officers Colony and S. Bawa of Ranjeet Avenue have decided to host a colourful wedding ceremony for their pooches – Jacks and Jennifer – on September 11. The marriage will be solemnised as per the Hindu rituals and other ceremonies such as the ring ceremony, Mehandi and Barat will also be organised.

And what’s more, famous Punjabi singer Sabar Koti will rock the wedding bash. The families, however, will not accept any gift.

The hustle and bustle has already begun as the families are busy finalising the programmes.

“The invitation cards have already been printed and are being distributed. The place for the wedding has also been booked. The ceremony will take place on a platform where the groom, Jacks, and the bride, Jennifer, will offer lockets to each other,” said Khosla, the proud owner of Jacks.

But the icing on the cake is that the newly-weds will go to England for their honeymoon.

“We asked several five-star hotels in India to book a honeymoon suite for Jennifer and Jacks but they refused. We were even ready to pay some extra money to them, but they refused. Finally, we have fixed London as their honeymoon destination where dogs are allowed in hotels,” Khosla said.

Jacks’s father, who is from London, is an intentional dog champion and lives in America. His mother Jesina lives in London.

“Jacks has an air-conditioned bedroom which also has a swing. He watches television soaps and is intelligent. A doctor attends to him every day. Nobody can dare to enter the house when the children alone at home with him,” Khosla said.

Meet the 18 Year old Lion Tamer Shandor !!!

While most teenagers are playing computer games, Shandor Larenty likes to indulge in a different pastime – taming lions.

The 18-year-old has built up an unbreakable rapport with 250kg Zavu – stroking, hugging and playing together at home in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The pair are now so comfortable with each other Shandor is even able to give the huge cat a foot rub.

The teenager, who is originally from Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire, said: ‘I’ve grown up doing this – it is something I love.

‘My friends think I’m a little bit crazy going in with a fully grown lion.’

Third-generation lion tamer Shandor showed early signs of carrying on the family tradition – interacting with elephants aged just 13-months-old.

His first big cat encounter was with a cheetah aged 11 and he has never looked back.

‘A lot of the lions that I work with were born when I started learning, so I’ve grown up with them,’ Shandor said.

‘Zavu is a special lion because he absolutely loves me and we are best friends.

‘He loves to be cuddled and be centre of attention. One of his favourite things though is the foot massage.’

The move mimics a technique his wildlife expert father, Alex, 54, perfected with fellow male lion Jamu.

Alex, who relocated to South Africa in 1999 from Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, has been passing on his lion taming skills to Shandor so he can continue the family’s business of supplying big cats for TV shows and movies.

Shandor, speaking from the family’s dedicated South African Lion park in Johannesburg, added: ‘My dad has always encouraged me to go into the wildlife field since I was a toddler.

‘He is my mentor. Everything I’ve learnt about working with these animals has come from him.’

Despite the risks involved Shandor doesn’t fear working with one of nature’s most dangerous hunters – and uses just a feeble stick for protection should things go wrong.

He said: ‘Lions are extremely powerful. A male can weigh up to 250kg and have a jaw pressure of one tonne per square inch. Those teeth are very long and could do a lot of damage.

‘An animal could turn on me and I would end up dead, but with my dad’s experience it is very unlikely that would happen.

‘I’m pretty confident going in with the lions now. The key is to show you aren’t scared because they will take advantage of it if you are.

‘When you go in with them you have to make sure you can stand your ground.’

Proud father Alex added: ‘You never know if your kids are going to follow in our footsteps, but I think it is great that he has. He’s now doing virtually what I am doing.

‘I do fear for his safety sometimes but then that’s why I’m there. You train these lions to do all sorts of things, but you can’t train them not to eat you.

‘He’s still learning his trade, but for someone his age he is doing extremely well. I’ve got to watch my job, he’s after it.’

Pet Turtle Under The Cover of KFC Burger !!!

A MAN has attempted to smuggle his “beloved” pet turtle through airport security by hiding it in a KFC burger.

On Monday, a man known only as Mr Li was flying from China’s Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport to the capital Beijing, the South China Morning Post reported citing the Guangzhou Daily.

As Mr Li’s bag was passed through an X-ray machine, airport security officers noticed what were described as “odd protrusions” coming out of the burger which Li had packed in his bag.

“There’s no turtle in there, just a hamburger,” Mr Li said, according to the report. “There’s nothing special to see inside.”

The turtle was discovered in a subsequent inspection and Mr Li said he had only hatched the odd plan as he wanted to travel with his “beloved” turtle.

Despite his affection for the animal, Mr Li agreed to leave his pet with a friend while he was away in Beijing.

The Ramayana says that Lord Rama was happy when joyous events happened to others around, as if they happened to Him. Krishna describes Arjuna as An-asuya(envy-less). What a great compliment to receive from the Master Himself! That is why Lord Krishna taught the mysteries of spiritual discipline to Arjuna. Have deep Love for the Lord. But be very careful not to become depressed with envy when others also love Him or get His attention and become attached to Him. Always be vigilant to have love without envy.

After Right to Food What Next ???!!!

Buoyed by the success of eradicating hunger from our country through the Food Security Ordinance, the government announced that it will now take on the scourge of homelessness that afflicts our citizens. The government announced a draft version of a bill which guarantees that all Indian citizens will get a roof over their heads. The Right to Housing Bill, as it is being called, calls for every middle class family to accommodate a minimum of 14 homeless people in their homes without compensation.

Announcing the measure at a press conference earlier today, the Minister said, “The Empowered Group of Ministers tasked with solving the problem of homelessness looked at it from all angles including factors such as total available residential area, demographics such as religion, caste, sub caste, secular status and ownership of cats. And they have come up with a holistic and innovative zero loss method of providing homes to the homeless,” leading to political pundits unanimously hailing it as the first known use of the expressions “holistic” and “zero loss” in the same sentence in the history of mankind.

Clarifying the reasoning behind the move, Minister added, “There are a couple of fundamental concepts that form the basis of this measure. The first is the notion that mere announcement of the right to ‘X’ has a magical way of making ‘X’ appear out of thin air. The second is that if an option to inflict severe pain on the middle class is available, the government must always exercise the option. We have taken these two epic concepts and mixed them up with caste and religion based quotas to achieve God level here.”

When prodded to elaborate, The Minister snapped, “Look, a lot of space is wasted by selfish middle class people who use homes as storage areas for their stuff. Tell me why middle class people need homes when they hardly spend any time there? They spend 13 hours in the office, another 3 hours on commuting on god awful roads through messy traffic and the rest of the time filling out income tax returns. They don’t even spend weekends at home. Instead, they go on road trips or to malls.. In the meanwhile, their homes have stuff and stay locked and unused. This is a scam of gigantic proportions which puts both 2G and Coalgate scams in the shade. Now, it is our responsibility as a government to question citizens on such dubious home ownership patterns which have led to much presumptive loss being incurred in buying assets and not using them in a profitable manner.”

Another Minister present at the press conference and observed going into paroxysms of ecstasy on hearing “presumptive loss,” vigorously defended his colleague saying, “The way this works, each middle class family will be forced to accommodate a minimum of 14 homeless people in their homes without compensation. If they don’t already own homes, they will be required to buy homes immediately and allow 14 homeless people to stay in them. The cool thing about this bill is that minorities, are exempted from compliance . The Minister merely had this to say, “I’m incredibly jazzed that my re-definition of the word holistic to m ean I don’t know what the hell I’m talking about is being popularized by my colleague Minister.

When quizzed about the impact of the measure on real estate prices, an exasperated The Minister quickly intervened and said “Obviously zero yaar. Zero. Zero. Zero. Everything is a bloody zero. How many times do I have to repeat this nonsense?”

Unconfirmed reports suggest that the government is working on an equally innovative “Right to Clothes” bill. According to sources, the bill will provide for any shirtless or dress-less person to legally and physically remove clothing of middle class people (with the exception of secularism certificate holders, minorities, OBCs and SC/STs) at any point in time and begin wearing it themselves with immediate effect !!!!

Thank God !!!!…. At this hour Our hero Anand has got up from his bed after a disturbed sleep in the night dreaming about the Right to Housing Bill !!!!!

Now HE is praying to GOD that his dream on the right to housing and right to clothing bills remain as dreams only !!!! Let us also join him in his prayers…!!!!

We can only Pray … What to do !!!!!

A TOI headline that made me laugh and cry at the same time. It’s been ages that I found something so very amusing

For the past few years, I have been seeing a lot noises, anger, riots and drama over this twenty-ninth state of India. But what troubles me more is….any guesses???

Our kids will have a new chapter to learn on this new state in Social Sciences. :-( When I was in school, I had to memorize sixteen states, 4 union territories and their capitals. Now our kids will have to learn about twenty-nine states and seven union territories. Which effectively means that we’ll have to learn that many more.

Jokes apart, now that Congress has helped Mother India give birth to her 29th baby, I see some groups celebrating and some fighting.God knows in the coming days, how many more states are going to be created.

All I have to ask is, “Is all this helping us move in the right direction?”

Don’t be amused by my query. I ask so, because I believe in United we stand, Divided we fall. Back before independence, the Mughals and British came and divided us and succeeded in ruling. Now we ourselves are letting political parties and religious leaders divide us further. The more we are getting divided, the farther we are moving away from one another and thus increasing risks for each.

How many more divisions?

How many more blood sheds?

Till when?
