On April 5, 2015, the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Terra satellite acquired this natural-color image of sea ice off the coast of East Antarctica’s Princess Astrid Coast.
White areas close to the continent are sea ice, while white areas in the northeast corner of the image are clouds. One way to better distinguish ice from clouds is with false-color imagery. In the false-color view of the scene here, ice is blue and clouds are white.
The image was acquired after Antarctic sea ice had passed its annual minimum extent (reached on Feb. 20, 2015), and had resumed expansion toward its maximum extent (usually reached in September).

People want to get all they desire and get disillusioned or disappointed when their desires don’t materialise. You cannot always have pleasure. Pleasure is an interval between two periods of pain. They are like sunshine and shadow. Accept both with equanimity. Sandalwood gives more and more fragrance when it is subjected to more and more grinding. Sugarcane yields tasty juice when it is nicely crushed. Gold gets purer and refined when it is burnt and melted in fire. So also a true devotee will never falter in their love for God even when faced with troubles and obstacles in their life. God tests His devotees only to lift them up to a higher level in the spiritual ladder. True devotees lead sacred lives which gets sanctified when they face obstacles and problems with full faith in the Divine.

A word of explanation for those of you who do not live in the US…
The folks who live in Boston and surrounding areas have a tendency to drop their R’s in a number of words. So a phrase like “park the car” becomes “pak the cah”. As you might suspect, this causes the R’s to build up. Since they have to go somewhere, they get kind of randomly added to words that don’t have them. So a phrase like “Brenda had a good idea” becomes “Brendar had a good idear”. Just thought you ought to know.
And I did categorize it as a “groaner” so that you were forewarned. It was just too cute and I had to pass it on.

We believe that smart ideas can turn the city into a better place. Like a dancing traffic light that makes people wait and watch rather than walk through the red light. FOR more safety. #WhatAreYouFOR

The devotee’s feelings determine their concept of God. When a devotee prays, “Oh Lord! I am suffering intensely. Can’t you see the troubles I am going through?” The Lord appears to him only as a pair of eyes. Today, most people meditate and during meditation, they appear like yogis. After the meditation is over, they return to their daily activities, immersing themselves in mundane pleasures. This is not the way of life the Lord preached. Lord Krishna declared: Sathatham Yoginah (Be yogis at all times). Think of the Divine at all times, in all situations, in whatever you see, do, say or experience. To pray to God when you are comfortable and to blame God when you are in trouble reflects a selfish and narrow outlook. What is bound to happen cannot be prevented. Regard anything that happens as a gift from God. It is only when you develop such faith and love for God that true spirituality can grow.
From the International Space Station, NASA astronaut Scott Kelly (stationcdrkelly on Instagram) took this photograph and posted it to social media on April 6, 2015. Kelly wrote, “Australia. You are very beautiful. Thank you for being there to brighten our day. #YearInSpace”
Kelly and Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko began their one-year mission aboard the space station on March 27. Most expeditions to the space station last four to six months. By doubling the length of this mission, researchers hope to better understand how the human body reacts and adapts to long-duration spaceflight.
